The duck sauce was a nice add to the rice. Spring rolls were good too. The crab rangoons were not the best. They weren't bad, just way too much cream cheese with almost no type of crab in it. Delivery is quick and when you make a special order, they do it right. I always order my fried rice a certain way. It's a little more money but totally worth it. I've been going to this restaurant for years and they've never disappointed me. Especially with delivery. If you look at my past reviews, I'm pretty critical of a lot of places and if I take the time to put something in that's good or bad it was because it was either really bad or it was really good. Like I said about this place their delivery is fantastic. If you have something that you wanna order special, they'll do it for you. As far as I'm concerned, that's fantastic customer service. Peking House is definitely my "Go To" place for Chinese Take-Out. I've tried other places in the area, and they've all been pretty "Meh." Food: Peking has exceeded my expectations for take-out quality Chinese food a few times in a row now. The food is always piping hot and fresh when I pick it up, the flavors are pretty good (though could use a bit more heat - I would order extra spicy if you like spicy food), the portions are substantial, and the prices are good. Location / Restaurant: The parking lot is nice and big, and the neighborhood is OK. The interior has nice promise. Overall it's reasonably nice looking, but no one is EVER seated. Definitely a take-out only place. If I was with a ton of people I might sit down, but if you're with just a few people it'll likely seem oddly empty. Parking is plentiful which is always a plus. Local Area Tip: Consider filling up your gas tank at the 7/11 next door while there....it seems to routinely be one of the cheapest gas stations around, and they don't have separate (higher) credit card price. read more

I will no longer be ordering from this place after the poor customer service i received! I order from there at least twice a week for lunch and being that Im a certified chef myself I'm very detail oriented but I can certainly appreciate a humble business. THIS is NOT one at all. I called the owner to inform them that my usual order of Shrimp with garlic sauce was completely inedible. Im not sure what happened this time maybe they overcooked the shrimp or had it sitting in the sauce too long but the shrimp were very mushy not plump and cooked properly at all so I was told to bring the food back. To my dismay the woman actually sat there and counted the shrimp in my face to make sure that I didn't eat any of them which i was highly offended being that I and several of my coworkers spend a good amount of money there weekly on lunch not to mention we tip very well. So once she counted the shrimp she said to me " you ate one" I said "no I did not they were nasty, mushy, & inedible & do you really think I would waste my time & my gas to come & return this back to you and you are really going to sit here and tell me that ONE shrimp is missing are you kidding me "?? I personally spend $37 bucks on my lunch tab at least 2 or 3 times per week plus a tip and also they are very cheap and don't even put utensils in the bag unless you request them and they STILL "forget" to put napkins and forks in the bag after you've spent well over $100 between you & coworkers so do you really think I'm about to haggle over a piece of shrimp?? I was kind enough to just ask them to make the meal over maybe it was a bad night or maybe a different chef, but at that point I just requested a refund to my card & I'll never be patronizing this establishment again!! They were rude indignant and they weren't even humble enough to say "hey we apologize for the bad food can we offer to prepare it freshly for you?" No they counted the shrimp in my face as if I was a thief and desired to consume even one of the mushy overcooked rotten shrimp... this is why you cant patronize some of these businesses, because they simply don't appreciate the loyal customers that KEEP them in business once they make a name for themselves. I got to say for the price....The best Chinese Ive ever had around here. Of course there are other places that have just as good but cost more. I came here for the first time and did a pickup order for myself and some friends. The place was very well cleaned and taking a lot of precautions to stay safe and keep people protected. They even passed the food to me through a window! For the price we got a lot of food! On top of that it was well made and very good. Disclaimer: I have only ever gotten food delivery from this restaurant and therefore cannot speak to in-restaurant ambience, service, etc. Here's what I can say: Delivery is always very fast, and delivery drivers are always friendly and polite. Never have I had an issue with mixed up orders or missing food items (a common theme when ordering delivery from anywhere). New favorite sushi place in the area. I went here a month ago for take-out to try a new place. The person answering the phone and that gave me my food was really nice and sweet. However, the food was terrible. The chicken fingers were in one of those foil lined bags, and this made the breading extremely soggy and rubbery - I immediately threw them away after a single bite. The General Tso's chicken was flavorless and unspicy, with a not-so-crispy coating. Threw that out as well after a few bites. The boneless spareribs were dry and had a really weird sauce - way too much five spice power or something. Really gross. The egg rolls were extremely thin and small with very little, flavorless filling. Finally, the fried rice, which wasn't half as bad as the rest of the food, was also not worth my time or calories. I ended up throwing every single item away - except the egg roll as it was small and finished in a couple bites. So disappointed in this food choice. read more

Improves with every order!! I first had this Chinese food 2 & 1/2 years ago when I met my boyfriend. We order boneless spareribs and they were sooooo salty, it was terrible. We tossed them in the trash (would have been 1 star or less). We gave them another chance and they got a little better. I must say over the last 2.5 years they have improved greatly. We actually ordered tonight for dinner, General Tso's with a nice spice to them and perfectly cooked. Boneless spare ribs that were not salty, very yummy! Every thing was good, very good. The Peking House is the only Chinese restaurant in the area (that I'm aware of) that actually makes their Kung Pao Chicken using chicken breast meat instead of dark meat, and that really adds to the dish. The first time I went there, I ordered sushi and one of the salmon rolls, and both were incredibly fresh and very delicious. The next time I went there was late on a Friday evening, when I had a craving for Chinese food. I didn't have their menu at home, so I just drove over. When I got there, I noticed their hours posted on the front door and realized that the restaurant had actually closed 5 minutes before I got there, but they hadn't yet locked the front door. I opened the door all ready to say sorry I guess I got here too late and that I would come back another time. However, the gentleman in the front of the restaurant told me to come on in and that they'd happily cook a meal for me. I felt bad, because I was causing them to stay to cook dinner for me, but they said no problem at all. Of course, I got takeout. But for a restaurant employee to see my car pull up after they've officially closed and not run to the door and lock it, wow, that's true great customer service! That's when I ordered the really good Kung Pao Chicken. Oh, and the restaurant is very clean, unlike the former Chinese restaurant that used to be in the same building. So, if you simply haven't tried the Peking House because you remember the former restaurant (in a bad way), erase those memories from your mind and give the Peking House a try. I was put "on hold" one time where I could hear everything they said as they took another order. They repeated every number and security code on someone's card.
