Ordered candles to be delivered by Christmas. Didn't show up on time and no response by customer service. They came over a week late. The scent was weak and I don't think I'll ever order again from them. Very disappointing by a well known candle company. Although they can be expensive the store has a huge huge selection of sales and clearance you can't resist. I could have stayed there with the representative Brooke all day. Happily Surprised :) I have always loved Yankee Candles. They smell great and last a long time. I was at the Livermore Outlets on Labor Day weekend and decided to stop in. I was happily surprised with the service and deals. PROS: DEALS - Large candles (4) for $44 (normally $25-$30 each). All accessories 50%. COSTUMER SERVICE - Tyler was great ringing us up, offered to hold my bags while I shopped & gave tips on avoiding the crazy crowds at the outlets. $5 CANDLE DEAL - There is always a $5 large candle (normally $25-$30) at the register with $30 purchase. The candle smelled great (not some out of season, low selling candle). 10% OFF MILITARY - They offer 10% off to Military/Veterans, a kind gesture (even off already discounted items). ACCESSORIES - They have great accessory, to elevate your candle (see candle lampshade picture attached). CONS: EXPENSIVE - In general, these are the most expensive candles, I am not sure if the deals are always this great. I walked out happy and pleased with my purchases. I got (5) Large candles, (2) accessories and spent about $65. My receipt said I saved $162. I ended up getting a great gift for a coworker's new office and myself! I wish this store were closer to home. Wait, no I don't. Because I would be coming here way too often to buy more candles than I could use in my lifetime. It's ok though since the deals are unbeatable, the staff is super attentive, the candles last a long time, and the scents are just strong enough when melting. Even though I've been to this outlet mall multiple times before, I wasn't really a fan of scented candles until fairly recently. I attribute that to the fact that my boyfriend and I have been buying every other brand but YC. We happened upon one on clearance at Marshalls on weekend and the rest is history. I remembered that this outlet existed so it was only a matter of time before we made our way here! As much as I love to shop for clothes and shoes, we probably ended up spending the longest time in YC. We split up and each took different areas of the store. After separately smelling all of the scents we were interested in, we brought the best ones over to share with one another. We must've looked crazy because we were running back and forth for some time. Anyway, we settled on four that we liked best and went to pay. The current four large candles for $44 deal is so amazing. The retail on these candles is about $30, so you do the math ;) God bless my boyfriend's super technical mind. When he commits to something, he has to do it correctly and have all of the right tools. So the salesman was able to sell him a wick trimmer. I guess there isn't really a pair of scissors that jut out 90 degrees at the points. And we really do use scented candles often. So we ended up purchasing the $9.99 wick trimmer and left very happy! Just another heads up, if you're planning on shopping around a bit more, you should either save YC as your last store. Or drop the candles off in the car. It gets pretty warm in the spring and summer out here and you don't want the wick to get trapped in newly melted wax. If you're lugging it around, at least make sure to have two large candles in each bag as they get heavy and the handles dig into your hands! This is the closest Yankee Candle store to me. I live in Hayward. It has some okay deals, but I have to say I was here during their semi-annual sale, which every Yankee Candle shop has. The selection wasn't extraordinary. I prefer shopping at a standard Yankee Candle store during the semi-annual sales rather than the outlet here in Livermore. This store seemed to be filled with stuff that didn't sell elsewhere and the prices were exactly what you would find in a regular store.... again, during the semi-annual sale. So, the 2 stars is strictly based on the fact that I was being profiled within minutes of walking into this location. The employee who came to "greet" me looked me up and down asking me if I needed help. When I told her that i was just looking around, I saw her glancing at my purse and then asked if she could hold the 2 candles that I picked up, at the counter. And I decline and she asked are you sure? And so I looked at her and said "yeah, I'm good". Looking around the store, there were clearly several shoppers that had more items in their possession, but I didn't hear her asking them if she could hold their stuff. I ended up just buying the 2 candles because my experience in the store was really uncomfortable after that. I clearly wasn't wanted and apparently neither was my business. read more

I LOVE THIS STORE The employees are so knowledgeable and friendly, never too concerned with upselling as much as they are with what scents you like and which ones you might like. They can pinpoint exactly where each scent is in the store: now that's training. The deals are pretty good too. Usually it's $1 per tart, but right now they're running a 18 for $13 sale and I had to take advantage. I've seen these candles in store before and thought they were expensive or on par with other retail outlets selling the candles. So on New Year's Eve, we went to the outlets and I found this store. I had no idea there was one of those there. Is it seasonal? They had lots of scented candles, some for only $8, some for $13 and others for x amount for $44. So I bought two, and you know, I checked my wallet after doing all of our shopping and said "Ok" I'll get one more. So I bought them all and took them home and loved the smell of all the candles. They last a very long time. I still have about 1/2 a candle left from burning it 6 days for hours at a time on all of them so they are very long lasting. I'm not sure what their regular prices are in the store, but if you seen their candles and think they are expensive or don't know much about them, try one when they are on sale and you'll like what you brought home. Cashier was great but did not get her name. It was at 10am in the morning when I went in on New Years Eve. Happy scenting! read more

This store concept reminds me of Bath & Body Works. They have a large selection and decent prices. I always buy a few things. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like is to get the sale price on the large candles you have to buy 4. For instance 4 for $44. Or 27.99 each. I don't always need 4 huge candles. That's my only gripe though. Stopped by this store tonight that was suppose to close at 7pm but was closed at 6:36pm when I arrived . Not really a big deal that they were closed 24 mins prior to what the sign said, the problem I had is that the lady that walked towards the door completely ignored the presences of me standing there while I'm asking are they closed or if the door was just locked because of COVID and only letting a certain amount of people in at a time. Not only on top of that the manager maybe walks towards the door and does the same exact thing while I'm screaming through the door by this time because it's rude to ignore customers like that when you shouldn't even be closed. Knowing Yankee Candles as much as I do - I was schooled. AMAZINGLY. The staff at the outlet first of all, friendly & helpful. On top of that, Tyler knows his candles more than I do (and I've been collecting for years!) and helped me picked out candles I would like (which never happens because I go in for the gold). I was SUPER surprised when a customer asked about a candle (Remember this store has an influx of MANY candles - not like a regular store with the regular candles) and Tyler would know exactly where it is, even not in an obvious place. Not only that he taught me about wax pours, labels, and I got to tell him something about black bands. Audra & Laura - fantastic - loved to hear about my stories of candles and showed me candles that I preferred because of certain labels I look for. I'll be the first to tell you that I really enjoy burning Yankee Candles and melts throughout my house. I've shopped at this particular location a few times and I usually buy at least 4 candles when I'm there. The service while never amazing had never been awful before. Weekend before last I wanted to check out their selection to replace my fall and winter candles so my husband and I looked around for scents that we might want to try. We really loved the woodwick line and moved to the check out with our selection. There wasn't anyone there which was no big deal, both clerks were helping customers so we were fine to wait. We had been waiting a couple of minutes or so when one of them comes charging past us, saying excuse me in a really rude way. She was followed by her customer who pushed between myself and my husband to get to the register. The clerk did not apologize or say anything else to us, instead she checked out her equally rude customer. Needless to say we no longer wanted to purchase anything from them so returned our selection back to the shelf and left. Will never go back to that location. Would not recommend. read more

I am so disappointed with the candle I just purchased from this store. It is their baked pumpkin. I have been burning it for hours now and it does not smell anything like pumpkin. Very low fragrance and scent throw. Kind of smells like a regular birthday candle you stick on top of a cake. Tried to google the scent online to find reviews but couldn't find anything so its probably a bad batch sent to outlet stores only. I want a refund! read more
