I haven't been happy with where I had been taking my dog, so my dad recommended The Pet Pamperer as he had such a good experience with his sheltie. I should add that my dog is a total freak. The sound of running water makes her flip out. So do hair dryers. and tin foil. I used to think it was an auditory thing, until her first fourth of July ( and every one since) where she ran outside to watch the fireworks. Only dog i've ever seen sit down and watch fireworks like she's on shrooms at a Pink Floyd concert. Other groomers have had an issue with her before because she's such a spaz, but my dog came back from the Pet Pamperer looking absolutely wonderful. The dingleberry containment zone has been trimmed back, she looks amazing, and she smells like candy. My *dog* smells like *candy*. TPP is cheaper than all of the other groomers I have taken my dog to, and she does a much better job.

I say this like it was easy, but my "baby" girl is 15 years old: blind, mostly deaf, and cantankerous! She doesn't trust a lot of people, and those who have tried to make her look beautiful typically get frustrated with her attitude and leave her looking lopsided. Not true with the wonderful ladies here! They were so patient and so gentle with her and cleaned her up so nicely. They took about five years off her appearance with their skill sets. I'm so grateful for this post-holiday miracle. The crew here was really top notch and if I lived in the same state, I'd be back her as frequently as possible.

I have suffered a few health issues which now requires I have help when I bring my 3 dogs. My husband has been going with me. He lifts my dogs into the tub and table for her. Well, since she has decided (which is her right as is her business) to only be open 4 days a week...the business has slipped. I canceled on her once because I was extremely sick and didn't want to pass it along. Then, it takes FOREVER to get rescheduled. We get rescheduled and she cancels the morning of which I was more then ok with as I don't want to get sick. This is now 8 weeks that my dogs haven't been washed. I admit that I was forgetful on continuing to connect. I get a text with a day to come in and respond within 20 minutes that yes I will take it. (She claims to have never received my response.) fast forward and we are now at over 3 months for my dogs not being groomed. We showed up to the appointment that she offered me only to see someone else booked for that slot. I tried calling her with no answer and then the texts begin. If she would have apologized from the get....we wouldn't be here writing this review. We loaded all 3 dogs in 2 cars and showed up to only feel completely disrespected. As a long time client of hers...at some point we should have been made a priority and booked. Her communication needs to improve or maybe work 2 extra days a month to keep up with demand. Just a suggestion. We felt as though she completely disrespected us by the blame game via text. In the end, I said please call me if u want to talk and work this out. No call and here we are. It has become a HUGE problem to schedule an appointment. I was always kind and courteous to her and her daughter. We tipped well and were always part of the process. We put our dogs in the tub and table for her. U figure for long time customers, u would do what u could do to keep them. We shouldn't have communicated via text. She should have picked up the phone. Wish her the best truly and hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks for the great service over the years. Too bad this couldn't be resolved with a simple phone call.

We've trusted Scott and his team at the Crate Escape for many years. Our 2 pugs are getting long…read morein the tooth (yes, pun intended) at 10 and 12 years respectively. They can be fussy and need attention and they always seem to get that extra care when we are out of town. Sometimes for a long weekend and sometimes for a long (10 day) vacation. We provide directions for their diet and when they need downtime (because sometimes it's simply puppy overload for them and they need quiet) and the staff caters to their needs. They get to socialize with other dogs big and small and are so well acclimated there that they are not afraid, not traumatized and happy to go (evidenced by pulling on their leashes to go in when entering the building). Because this is a business and dogs do have accidents, it goes with the territory there and the mess gets cleaned up. Unlike leaving our dogs with family/friends where if they mess (let's say on a carpet or floor, we feel bad). This past stay, our senior pug got sick and Scott (with our permission) took him to the vet (connected with the facility). We felt the fee was fair and similar to our own vet as we would have done the same. The point is, that with constant communication, Scott acted as our proxy and returned our boy back to us in a state of recovery not decline. After 2 days back home with us (continuing meds) he's back to his old self.
