Easy to make appointment online or by phone. Clean and tidy facility. Took my Bullmastiff here for the first time and had a great experience. He was welcomed warmly which is great since many are afraid of him due to his size! I have taken him to multiple grooming places with instructions for deshedding and have picked him up with mediocre results. However today at Dog Performers they did an excellent job of deshedding with a bath and nail trim. Super happy with results! read more

I never write reviews for anything, but I feel compelled to write this one. We have taken our dog to this place 3 times and will never bring him back. The first two times they kept our dog for over 4 hours, and each time we picked him up he was stressed out and wet because he either drooled or peed on himself from sitting in a cage for hours. I don't know why they schedule an appointment at all if your dog will sit in a cage for hours while they work on other dogs. If you have an appointment , you should be taken right away, not put in a cage to wait for 2-3 hours. We just picked up our dog and this is the last straw. He had a bandanna on that covered his chest when we picked him up but when we got home and removed the bandana we saw that his entire chest was cut extremely short. We have a beautiful golden retriever that had an amazing chest of long hair. We specifically instructed the staff that we do not want his chest hair touched and that we like a natural look, and we were told "yea of course , it is in our notes". I don't understand why anyone would shave a golden retrievers chest , especially after being told not to touch it. I am so disappointed in this place and so sad that our beautiful boy looks like he got into a fight with clippers. I am extremely disappointed in this business. They do not listen to owners and do whatever they want. I went there today and first off they kept my dog for 4 and half hrs when I made an appointment at 9 and didn't get her back till 1:30. Second my dog is a pomsky. When I got there me and the owner discussed that I wanted a small trim because her hair was so overgrown and it was summer and she has so much hair. I had said several time little trim do not shave my dog, do not shave my dog! I thought he understand I wanted a little cut but nothing drastic. When I finally was told she was finished I walked inside and almost forced to pay before I even got to see my dog and then was told we had to go a little shorter then expected because her fur was uneven. When she came out to me her body was fucking shaved!!! I grabbed my dog and left crying and crying the whole way home because they shaved my dog after I said not too. But I tried reaching out to the owner he made so many excuses for what they have done to her saying her fur was matted which is impossible I wash her every other week and brush her! Or we cut her this short because we talked about making her even everywhere which is also a lie because they left her hair and tail long but ashamed her body. The owner called me and kept just saying I'm sorry but this is what we talked about and I was crying the whole time and he was just telling me how I'm wrong and they what they did was okay because we talked about it and I was unsure exactly what I wanted. When I asked for a refund because I was so upset he said he couldn't because the groomer still needed to be paid for the service she provided and I said what service not listening to me and doing whatever you wanted and not calling me to confirm that you would be cutting her shorter to make sure that was OK! I am in the service industry I understand if I fuck yo I'm not getting paid and it's sucks but I take responsibility unlike them would just make excuses for what they did. All they offered was when her hair grows back I cane come back in and her second hair cut would be free! Why the hell would I go back if you mutilated my dog in first place!!! This is my second review because I did not notice the black burn mark on the top of my dog's head until I got him home. The owner never mentioned it to me! Now I know why he has been shaking since I picked him up from Dog Performer's. If your dog had been burned, wouldn't you want the owner of the business to mention it to you? For an owner, Laura is extremely impolite to customers. It is 8:30am- too early in the morning for me to receive attitude for a service that I am paying for. She does not recognize customers who have been there over half a dozen times. Her system for organizing customers is severely outdated with the use of index cards. I dropped by dog off at 8am after leaving a voice mail the day before. I have done this multiple times, but this time they didn't even write my reservation down. Not only was she unable to find my dog's name in her pile of index cards, she also gave me a mouthful of catty replies. She apologized to the woman behind me "for the wait" and proceeded to let her go first. She didn't even apologize for not knowing my dog or for claiming that I'm a new customer. How about my time that was wasted??? I previously paid cash, which means my dog can receive a free oatmeal bath or tooth cleaning this time. I brought this to her attention and she said that she has to find my card to "prove it". I do not know how many people would lie about that, but I certainly wouldn't. Even if she couldn't find my card, I would expect that free service as a courtesy for my inconvenience. After 15 minutes she finally found my dog's card, with a number that I ALREADY PROVIDED HER which she said didn't exist in her database. Given that both Laura and the other customer were older, Caucasian women, I feel very unfairly mistreated. Once again, she apologized to the woman for a less-than-5 minute wait but didn't even utter a word for wasting 15 minutes of my time. Lastly, her and her groomers will provide an incomplete service and charge you full price. The last THREE times I brought my dog there, her nails were left unclipped and ears still had lots of nail inside. I asked Laura about this today--and when she FINALLY found the index card-- snarkily replied that it takes two groomers to "hold down and muzzle my dog". I assume she's implying that it is difficult to cut my dog's nails. If this is the case, why not bring to my attention? After all, I am the customer and I have a right to know. Instead, they just let it slide under hoping you won't notice. I would also like to note that my family and I trim my dog's (a cockapoo) nails without any aggression from her. All in all, dishonest groomers who don't care about their clientele with different ethnic backgrounds. Very poor attention to detail and lack of customer service. I will be taking my service elsewhere unless she formally apologizes. read more

My miniature schnauzer has been going here off and on for years. Sometimes I love his cut and sometimes I don't, but this is the 1st time I said to myself that he will never go back. The groomer took it upon herself to cut my schnauzers beard completely off. When I realized he had no beard I asked about it and the groomer said that his beard was severely matted. I new she was lying and that just made me angry. If she had said she made a mistake or that there was some miscommunication I would've been understanding. She went on to say that he doesn't like his beard brushed and that he bites. This may or may not be true. My little guy is getting old and that is why I gave him a sedative like they requested I do the last time he was groomed and they managed to brush his beard instead of cutting it completely off. I should've been consulted! He was pretty mellow when I dropped him off. I even had to carry him down the stairs and lift him into the car which is abnormal. The lady who checked me out apologized but the groomer didn't. I should've at least been offered a partial refund. That's ok his beard will grow back in a few months but he will never be back here! Who knows, maybe that is what the groomer wanted. read more

This was a terrible experience. I have an almost 5 month old havanese puppy who I have been regularly taking to PetSmart for nail trimmings, baths, and face/feet/rear end trims to get her accustomed to groomers. She loves going there and I should have stuck with it! but my pups hair was getting pretty shaggy and I wanted to try going to a smaller business groomer to get a more specialized first cut. what a mistake?!! 1st- there were no checks on my pups background to check if she had vaccines or flea preven or even her condition coming in. Comparatively, PetSmart always checks her vaccine records and does an initial walk through with me to talk about her coat and what I want done. 2nd- all the dogs there seemed very stressed and I was instantly nervous about my pup. They did not even try to get acquainted with her, just grabbed her and took her back. My dog is very used to strangers so she went willingly, but when I returned for pick up my dog was yelping in fear and was very shy and untrusting the rest of the day and basic stayed stuck tucked into my arm hiding her face the rest of the day. 3rd- I could have done a first haircut better muse LF. I specifically asked for the teddy bear cut which leaves plenty of hair but isn't so shaggy as I took her in. (she looked like benji when we went in) instead of a cute, mildly fluffy puppy i got a pup with a buzz cut body and super uneven wildly cut hair on her face that still looks messy and is sticking out all over at weird and differing lengths. Now I have to grow it out all over the next few months to try to get the cut I was waiting for. 4th- and worst of all, she came home with razor burn and was itching and red all over the areas they cut her extremely short like the neck, tummy, and sides. I had to oil her down with coconut oil as that was all I had on hand and while it stopped the irritated skin, shes now an oily mess till I next bathe her. And her skin is so pink still! I am pretty sure this is part of what left my pup traumatized! this was a total waste of $50 and I'm so disappointed because if all I had wanted was a bad trim I could have done it for free. And without terrifying or harming my baby! I did not tip (something I typically never skip) but I'm this case I don't feel the least guilty. My dog is nipping in defense now every time I go near her paws or face which she has never done and I feel like I'm back to square one in gaining her trust and teaching her that humans are safe and loving. Don't go hear if you live your animal! I never take the time to leave reviews. I am very chill and rarely so disturbed I feel the need to. But now I feel I must. read more

Horrible Experience! Horrible care and poor service. DO NOT bring your dog here We first brought my dog here when he was a pup and being first time owners we didn't recognize the signs. He hated that place, my dog loves going everywhere and anywhere including the vet, this is the one place he was actually terrified of going. We have brought him to other groomers since and he has no hesitation going into those places but for this one we would have to drag him. Because of the set up of the shop you are unable to see your dog during the grooming process or even wait which wasn't initially a problem for me but when I would be there for pick up my dog would act strange. I could never prove it but I think they punished my dog for being too hyper. My dog has a crate at home and he loves it but every time we come home from this place he wouldn't go near it. We started noticing these signs as we noticed that their grooming wasn't up to our standard either. We would raise concerns that there were spots that were cut not enough or too much and they would blame a coworker or something or my dog (I can't remember except that they never took responsibility, there was always an excuse). We would say that his nails weren't trimmed and/or filed and they would act like it was a huge convivence when they had to bring him back on the table, even though it was heavily discussed before hand and we paid for it.. My dog was also terrified of the people, he always wanted to hide behind me when they got close, he was never like that before and has never been like that since. This is a horrible place and I wish I recognized that sooner. read more

So I had to wait a couple of days to write this, as I wanted to be fair. We have taken our two year old golden doodle here to be groomed and have his nails cut several times. We requested grooming via the website and got a denial three days later. The response was that he has too much energy and they didn't have a groomer to handle cutting a golden doodle any longer. Our dog walks off leash, sits on the driveway when dogs are three feet away. When we would bring him here and pick him up I always heard him barking. Not sure where they cage him after his cut is done. I'm certainly not trying to ruin a business. I do feel that if they are no longer equipped to handle any doodle, that they could have responded quicker. The owner was nice with the response, but I am confused that a DOG groomer couldn't cut a golden doodle or any doodle. Bottom line if you have a GOLDEN DOODLE or any DOODLE, this is not the place for you! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! It should be shutdown by the ASPCA 1. They do not listen to the customer. If you ask for a specific cut they do not do the cut, they do whatever they want. 2. They make your dog sit wet in the cage for hours until they have time to cut it. 3. The place is run like a grooming assembly line no personal attention or care for your specific dog. 4. The place is designed to make the owner as much money as possible, by not giving good customer service but by taking as many dogs a day as possible and treating them inhumanely and running them trough their doggie grooming assembly line. 5. All they do is shave the dogs hair off, no cutting or styling or brushing.. Horrible... My recommendation Do not take any animal here the place should be shut down by the ASPCA. read more

I've been taking my cat to get groomed here for the last 6 plus years. The staff treats him so well and are very friendly....not to mention patient. They know me by voice and sometimes just by kitty's name when I call. The location is clean and easy to find. I cannot say enough great things about everyone there. I've seen them groom other animals (dogs) and they treat them well also. I adopted a cat about a month ago and she is the first cat I've had with all her claws. So when they became more like prison shivs than nails, I thought I should let a professional take care of it. I decided to take her to Petsmart for convenience, but apparently they don't groom cats on the weekend? I didn't know that until I got there, my cat in tow. Thanks, idiots. To try to make this trip worthwhile to my cat, who is really a saint, I called Dog Performers to see if they do cat nails. "Yep, bring her in." I went in, they took her right in and by the time I paid, she was done. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They asked what her name was twice, which I thought was nice, especially since she only spent a few minutes with them. Her nails are short, she doesn't seem disturbed... AND I saw them clean her ears, too! For $2 less than Petsmart, I got a ziploc full of treats, fridge magnet, and lightning quick service from a local business. I'll definitely be back -- thanks for making a frustrating situation better! read more

When my fiance and I first moved here, we searched for a groomer, as taking our pup to PetSmart the couple times we did, was always a nightmare, and other groomers left our Moxie in a distant, traumatized state afterwards. I was so happy to find Dog Performers. First, making an appointment online is absolutely amazing. And, everyone at DP is so genuinely pleasant, happy and sweet. They truly love animals and treat them as their own. I appreciate the fact they've been in business for more than 25 years, and I would recommend them to ANYONE looking for a groomer. read more

My mini Schnauzer went back to Dog Performers for the first time in five years. I knew there was a good reason why I stopped going there... When I called to schedule I told the owner that she should already have an index card on my guy. I was told that they don't use those cards anymore, everything is on the computer, this was lie number one. She was shuffling around index cards, looking for my card. So outdated and behind the times. Then, when I dropped him off I was told that I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to when he would be ready to leave, lie number 2. I had to call them 3 hours later to find out that he was ready to leave. Lie number 3 was that Brittney was "the Schnauzer" groomer. I asked for a schnauzer face and didn't get it. She cut his beard all the same length, didn't trim from his nose to his eyebrows and there's still a lot of hair in his ears! Either this girl is brand new to grooming or just plain ignorant to schnauzers. My mini and I will never set foot in that place again. And they had the audacity to charge me $50! I'm not even sure that he was bathed! DO NOT GO THERE unless you don't care about how your dog looks. read more

Still completely in love with the way they treat my fur baby (okay she's no longer a pup but she's mine..) from her grooming to nail cutting to when they point out to me something that they feel on her skin and advise me to call my vet to have it checked out farther! Facilities are always clean and they have an open door policy so you can see exactly how they take care of your pet! Other groomers are behind closed doors. They take care of this business as its their own home and they take care of my pets as if they were their own!!! read more

I have been coming here for about two years now and have been overjoyed with the quality of the work and the care of my furry baby :) They are compassionate, kind, and always fairly priced. I took my sheltie Stoli to Petsmart a few years back and when I picked her up the quality and caliber of the grooming wasn't even close...they will hire anyone, experience or not. There was some dry blood on one of her nipples as if it was cut during grooming. I was traumatized as was my furry baby. The staff at Dog Performers Inc. is top notch. I would recommend them to EVERYONE (and I have). I am very happy to have them a part of my family!! read more

Our little old deaf cavalier gets so excited every time we park at dog performers. He loves all of the people there, and now our second dog is following in her brother's footsteps. I took my miniature Morkie here twice before yesterday and was satisfied with the results. However, yesterday, I dropped my dog off just before 10 a.m. per the owner's suggestion. By 1:00 p.m. I called for a status and was told that they'd have to call me back. At 2:00 p.m. I called again and was told that they had to start over because she peed in the cage. They'd have a better idea by 3:15-3:30 p.m. I expressed my frustration that she'd been there since 10 a.m., and the owner became defensive claiming my dog peed in the cage twice and they had to "start over" both times. She never apologized for the delay, offered any other explanation or concern for my dog. I left my house with a towel and went to pick up my dog. When they brought her out, her head was soaking wet, the owner told me she peed in the cage 3 times and suggested my dog has a bladder infection, or the storm scared her. My dog wasn't even finished being trimmed and they charged me the whole $43 - her head wasn't even started and she'd been there for nearly 5 hours! I feel they left her in the cage because they had too many dogs at once, and the owner was only interested in blaming my dog for accidents after being caged up for 5 hours - and getting her $43 for an incomplete job. read more

Terrible place. I gave them 3 tries to many. We only went back on the third time because a friend said how they were happy with their dogs first cut. I did not like the first 2 cuts to much. Well I thought ok, one more try. It looked like my pup got cut by someone with their eyes closed and they used their teeth. I called and the male I spoke to said that my pup would not sit still. A huge surprise to us because it was never mentioned before on his other 2 previous cuts. Besides that, he was cut a few times by some place else and they did a great job and no word on our pups behavior from that place. When I called the male I spoke with said bring him back so they could fix it. I am not exaggerating about how bad the cut was. I was going to bring him back and something told me that is not an option any longer. I wrote an email feeling a refund or partial refund would be fair, no response from them. They also had cut the vein in his nail on the 2nd visit and never told us. Our pup came home and we were seeing blood droplets all over, so we called and again, another lame excuse. My point on that was we should have been told so we could be aware. NEVER GO HERE! Terrible customer service and I will be contacting the BBB. read more

I take my beagle here monthly to get his nails cuts. They are always super friendly to my dog, and very welcoming. They always cut his nails shorter than other places, which means I do not have to take him back as often, which is really nice. Teri is very nice and remembers exactly what my dog needs. Dog Performers did a great job grooming my 25 lb terrier/schnauzer mix. They were super accommodating with my work schedule and the owner let me in even earlier, when I arrived before they opened. My dog immediately went up and jumped on the owner and happily went into the back with her. She can be a little hesitant with strangers and usually barks when I leave. This made me very comfortable leaving my dog with them! read more

We've taken 2 dogs and 1 cat here for the past 5 years and have no complaints at all. They are great and definitely care about your animals. They also go above and beyond when it comes to customer service; they know their clients when you call and when you give them your pet's name. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating here, but I won't be going back. My little dog has ended up with small patches of razor burn twice now and I ended up spending extra money on cream from the vet to help it to heal.
