One of the most iconic venues in baseball, and it lived up to my high expectations. Even though the Yankees aren't my team, there's so much history that's part of the club, and I felt like the stadium honors the legacy of the players and people who build the Yankees into the powerful franchise that it is. It's hard not to walk away awestruck after seeing your first game here. My only negative note about the stadium is how slow the entrance process is. We waited in line for more than 30 minutes just to get through the metal detector, and the line at Gate 6 looked to be even longer. If there is a way the Yankees can speed up their security process while still keeping everyone safe, Yankee Stadium would easily get a 5-star review from me. read more

For my weekend in New York, I was pleased to learn that the Yankees had a home series. Yes, let's get tickets and go to a game. Unfortunately, tickets are absurdly stupidly priced. We ended up in the almost nosebleed seats along the 3rd base line in section 426 in row 4. Quite far up from the action and priced at $47 each. Yowza! That said, the seats were quite comfortable. We picked this section because the sun was behind us. This made it a lot cooler than those people in the right field bleachers. Hooray! Security to enter was simple and standard. A very long line but it helped to have CLEAR access and we arrived at 5:40 for a 7:05 start. I think this time was just early enough to avoid the complete insanity. They need better line management! Lots of concessions but not nearly enough helpers. Yeah, there's a hiring crisis right now and that caused a hot dog and beer run to take 35 minutes! Two or three innings missed to buy food, so we only went once. Very few replays on the big screen. That was annoying. And not nearly enough fan engagement with games, music, cheering and the like. Great place to see a game! The stadium is very well maintained. There's a variety of food options although a bit pricey, but I guess that's expected in most MLB venues. Make sure to go when the gates open so there's time to visit Monument Park and their museum. The museum is full of history that a fan of any team would appreciate. Monument Park is inside the stadium behind centerfield. It shows major contributors to their franchise and retired numbers. It's done very nicely. There seems to be a huge line for it so once you get into the stadium, go there first. We signed up for the Pre-game Glimpses of Greatness tour which is a self-guided tour that allows entry about 90 minutes prior to gates opening. It didn't seem worth it because we were restricted to a small section of the ballpark. We were allowed into Monument Park but were not allowed into the museum until the gates opened. You could see batting practice though. It's easy to reach Yankee Stadium via the subway. When you emerge from the subway, you immediately see the stadium. There's no getting lost. Yankee fans were very nice. We went to three games here and sat in different sections each time, and the fans were very pleasant in all the sections in which we sat. The only reason it's not five stars is that there's no drop-dead gorgeous background skyline. read more

This was my 3rd MLB stadium. Easy ride on the subway to the stadium. We had some pre game drinks at a local draft house about a block from the stadium. Didn't explore too much of the stadium, mainly the lower concourse. As visiting fans we didn't catch any nasty comments from home fans. The ticket staff was so rude. It was an older, smaller lady. On our first trip to the stadium, we assumed that when you scan a ticket, the person goes through. She yelled at a 7-year-old and told us to watch him, even though he just went towards the turnstile. She also miscounted the tickets and warned us that we wouldn't be allowed back in next time. If you enjoy baseball or just the experience of attending games, you'll love going to Yankee stadium. Personally, not a fan of the Yankees, but you have to enjoy the history of the team, and the stadium brings that history to life. There is a room where you can go and see essentially memorials to the Yankee greats like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Joe atorre and more. There's tons of places to get food. One of my favorite things about attending ball parks are tasting the unique foods in each stadium. For example, Nats stadium has the bens chili bowl with the half smoke chili cheese dogs and Marlins stadium has a Cuban/Dominican inspired nachos with plantain chips. Here at Yankee stadium I tried the king Hawaiian bun cheese burger, and of course it was delicious. We really enjoyed our time here, with rain delay and all. Went to an early June game v Detroit. In general, I miss the old stadium as it had more history and character whereas the new Stadium has a bit of a faux feel to it. That being said, I finally found a section where I get a great unobstructed view of the game without it costing me an arm and a leg: Section 217, on the pitcher's mound between home plate and 1B. The new stadium does pay tribute to the team's storied pass and the concession stands are more up to date. read more

Historic Stadium that I finally got the chance to attend and it didn't disappoint. Getting around and finding your seat is pretty easy and they have plenty of staff around to assist you if you need help. Yankee Stadium is a must stop when I'm in NY and they're playing at home. The new stadium is bigger than the original but it's a bit more formal and lacks the real feel of history and tradition the original stadium had. It feels like the company Fanatics, invaded the stadium, and turned it into retail mall. It's easy to take the train from the city - there are several different lines and they usually run extra trains on game day. On game day, arrive early. Watching batting practice has always be one of my favorite things and if you have children have them go the front of the stands and they may even get a ball. My boys are 30 and 19 and it's still one of their favorite things to do. Then go to Monument Park. It closes 45 minutes before the game and the line can be long, but totally worth it. The Yankee Museum is behind Gate 6 in right field. There you will see the ball wall with autographed baseballs and the Don Larsen statue honoring his perfect game in the 1956 world series. If you're not a corporate sponsor, ticket prices are high. All tickets are sold through ticketmaster and even if you think you found decent seats for $65 it turns out to be over $100 with all the fees and you're still in the upper rafters of the 300 section. As for food, gone are the days you can take your family for hot dogs, fries, and a drink, that will set you back $20 per meal and if you want a beer...that's another $15. Although It is the experience and you don't do it often, so why not? Normally, I'd give this a solid 3 but the extra star is for the triple play witnessed and the win. Came here with my girlfriend. It was her first game! We had the classic ballpark Frank and it was delicious. Highly recommended. The Yankee beer was a bit warm, though, in my opinion. But overall, good food; of course a fantastic environment, as we got to watch the Yanks ‍; and nice service. We wanted to have Chickie and Pete's crab fries we were told they ran out of crab seasoning before the game even started. Can you really say you are a New Yorker if you don't visit Yankee Stadium? I was excited to attend a baseball game after almost two years. The first time back here felt very strange. I was not used to being around so many people but as time passed I became comfortable. It almost felt as if I was back in 2019 again catching a ball game with my friends. You can easily get here by bus or train. I would not advise driving to the stadium as it is very hard to find parking and it would cost you a lot of money. Be sure to arrive early as lines start to fill up and it may take a while to get in. You really get to appreciate the beauty of Yankee Stadium once you enter. You walk up the ramps to several higher levels and get different views from all around. The best seats I ever had were on the ground level. The higher up you go the more detached you feel from the game. However, the bleachers in the outfield could be considered some of the best seats. The fans there are usually rowdy and excited to catch a home run when it comes by. For food options you have your usual choices. Food prices are extremely high but what else do you expect. I was able to pick up a bucket of chicken fingers and french fries for $20. A beer would cost you about $12 as well. If you plan on bringing your family here I would advise you to eat somewhere beforehand to save a couple bucks. Overall, I always have a great time at Yankee Stadium. Sometimes we are excited to go all out for ground level seats. Other times we have a great time in the bleachers with the rowdy fans. Pick what works for you. I'm from Cleveland and took in a Yankees / Blue Jays game on 4/23/23. The Yankees took one on the chin, but I was there as a passive observer. I just wanted to say that I've been to a game here and hang out with the Yankee faithful. Even sporting my Cleveland gear, I was never harassed. This stadium is quintessential New York. The big hall when you walk in with heroes from the past greet you on the way in. Plenty of places in the upper deck to walk around and view the game. My tip..buy tickets for the cheap seats in the upper deck and wander the concourse. Plenty of places to stop and watch the action. Lots of food and drink choices. Don't waste your money on the Glimpse of Greatness add on. They let you in the park early but don't let you walk around at all. You have to stay in one section and can see the monument park which takes all of two minutes to see. After that, you are told to just sit in a section and wait until everyone else comes in the park and then you can walk around. Total waste of $40 each! read more

Stopped here while in town for a Friday night game. This isn't too bad in terms of getting here - we used subway which is just the green line uptown getting off at the Yankee Stadium stop. The subway station is right across the street and you can walk right out and to the entrance. It was somewhat bottlenecked due to Covid but - for whatever reason I didn't have to show vaccine card - but had to everywhere else in NYC. Not that I care - just odd. As far as the park amenities - decent enough food, we got footlong hot dogs and some drinks. I don't know - I didn't really feel wow'ed by the amenities like I remember I was at the old Yankee stadium. I'm not really picky either I don't know? Game was great - we had a great time. Here is the world famous home of baseball. If they ever play baseball of course. Yankee Stadium is of course best when there's a game. For now I have some pictures from the 2019 ALCS. Take a tour if it ever reopens whenever. Go on a tour the first time you get a chance. It eventually will reopen to fans. They take you to hidden parts of the stadium. See the locker rooms. There's also the hall of fame where the legendary players are honored, which is the best part about this. Best part of the stadium itself though is seeing a game. Too bad you can't do it. It now doesn't have anything happening. It could be a long time before we can get back in. Being at this stadium felt so confined. The surrounding area has so much traffic, it's absolutely ridiculous. It was taking us 15 minutes to drive .5 miles over the bridge. There has got to be a better way...I did not see one cop or traffic agent controlling the traffic. Parking prices are outrageous! We passed a lot that charged $43! I believe citi field is $30 and it's an actual parking lot. The good thing about citi field is the space surrounding the stadium, there is tons of parking around the stadium to tailgate and hang out before going in. Another really sad thing about Yankee stadium is the food. It's really such a shame to have the limited options they have (hot dogs, chicken fingers, sausage) when we live in NY, a place that is so diverse with different types of food! We also know that the Bronx is filled with Hispanics, why isn't there any type of Latin cuisine?! Compared to Citi Field, Yankee stadium's food is garbage. The Halal Guys is probably the most diverse but it's at the top level and the line was INSANE! The people on line basically came to the game to wait in line and without watching the game. I was really disappointed at the lack of food options. We ended up walking a block down outside of the stadium and got some Spanish food! read more

Being a die-hard Kansas City Royals fan that lives a 45 minute drive from the stadium, I never thought I'd find myself sitting in a Yankees suite section cheering for the boys in pinstripes. But what a time we had! And there are a lot of things I like about this stadium and the experience. First off, by comparison, some stadiums are like being inside a pinball machine. Lots, and lots, no, LOTS AND LOTS of light show activity. By comparison I'd call Yankees stadium somewhat muted by comparison so the emphasis is on the game, not being entertained by light shows. After all, that's why we go to games, right? Even though we showed up at the busiest times, they seem to have mastered the art of getting large crowds of people sorted to the areas where they're sitting. And having subway access so close by was a real plus when you're staying on the south end of Manhattan and don't feel like paying for a $90 Uber or some ridiculous cab fare. The food a drinks were reasonably priced for a major league game and it didn't have near the pretense I probably had imagined in my own mind. What's to not like? As a real bonus, we were comped these tickets so sitting with a private bar, clubhouse, place to get something to eat was an added bonus. Not gloating--OK, yes I am--we had access to stand feet away from the ballpark organist. How cool was that (see video I just uploaded). Would love to return again. As a season ticket holder, this is my second home. I love being here because of the great ambiance, food & environment. I drive from Bayside & park right at the lot. The "clear" pass lets me & my friend in right away so the line is never a hassle. Once we are inside, we go straight to our seats. There is an ordering system where they bring your food / drinks right to you so you do not miss any part of the game; however I tend to go right to the food stand with the hot dogs. I get myself 2 dogs at my favorite stand where the lady is a delight. She is always positive and great energy. The hot dogs are so good that you don't even need condiments; however we get sauerkraut & devour them right away. To finish off, we get our cracker jacks because who doesn't get some at a ball game.
