    Boba Milk Tea

To start: I do suggest people still give this place a shot, but I hope this review helps people figure out what to order so they don't have the experience I did. My first bit of advice is try one of the more unique options. The menu actually had a lot of interesting options that I was interested in trying in the future (and might just to give this place a second chance) because their standard milk tea was extremely watered down in my opinion. I ordered 25% because I like my tea to be bitter and get my sweetness from the boba, but the milk tea ended up being bland as a result. It mostly tastes like milk with a hint of tea. The boba was also a super generous portion, but some was clumped together. If I do go back (I don't live in the area), I'd try the unique drinks or increase sweetness on their standard boba drinks. You order at the kiosk that's right by the entrance and they hand your drink to you. My drink came out fairly quickly as the restaurant had more customers than the boba stand did. It's definitely a cute logo and I commend them on expanding their business which is why I do recognize trying their other drinks because the boba guys across the street could make a better milk tea, but they don't make the avocado drink that's on Yan's menu.

A lowkey spot for boba in San Carlos! My friends and I went to visit this boba place since one of them was eager to try it out. Upon arriving, we were confused where the boba shop was since it didn't have its own store. It was actually located inside a restaurant and you order through a tablet. I wanted to order a black milk tea however there were no options to order just a black milk tea other than a black milk tea with boba so that's what I ordered. The black milk tea with boba was yummy but nothing special. However, their spicy popcorn chicken was the star of the show. It was made with Sichuan peppers and though there were plenty of peppers, the spice wasn't the worst and very tolerable and flavorful. I think the next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to order the spicy popcorn chicken again.

This review is for the tea shop. I was looking for a stand alone tea house so I was surprised to see the tea shop inside the restaurant. As you walk in, straight ahead is the host desk where you wait to be seated. Inside the restaurant there was plenty of seating and it was well lit. A few chairs off to the right for pick up orders. Immediately on the left entrance is the kiosk to order from the tea shop. Not sure if you can order when the restaurant is closed. I ordered the Kumquat Lemon Green tea. 25% sweet with less ice. I enjoyed my drink, it was the perfect tartness and chill factor for this hot day! Prices were reasonable. ($6.25) I would love to come again and try other drinks and even the restaurant.

Quick take: extension of Yan's Garden Yan's Tea is inside Yan's Garden Chinese restaurant. Ordering options for drinks and snacks are at the counter or the ordering kiosk by the door. The last making the drinks is very nice. She told us if we need to adjust the drinks to just let her know. We ordered a matcha smoothie (25% sugar), mango passionfruit tea (50% sugar), and the regular popcorn chicken. If you are in the area stop by and try this place out. The fruit tea drink is very refreshing. The matcha smoothie was very smooth and not too sweet. The popcorn chicken was a 3. All the basil was at the bottom of the box. Chicken could use a little bit more flavor.

Perfectly prepared boba! Delicious and light drinks. For their drinks, you can customize the ice and sweetness level. Milk tea, slushes, and their mango sago are what you should expect. Good sized drinks with decent favor. The black sugar milk tea had a light sweetness to it and was decent in tea flavor. I would have liked a stronger tea taste to it. The boba had a really good bounce and chew and was very light in sweetness. Didn't feel guilty at all for chomping on them. They have a frequent buyer card so if you're a fan, start collecting! In addition to drinks, they have some light snacks. Although easily overlooked due to their location, they are worth the hunt!

My husband works near Yan's Tea so he decided to pick up this coconut strawberry drink for me to try! Can't comment on the service or ambiance since I didn't physically go in. He raves about this place a lot so I'm finally glad to try it! I'm a milk tea girl so I never order anything else at a boba place. I always tell myself to try new drinks but once I get to the counter to order, I go back to my usual because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. You know how that goes.. But I was pleasantly surprised! I never thought coconut and strawberry would be such a great combination. It was not too sweet and came with lychee (?, not sure) jelly and pudding at the bottom. You can taste the rich coconut milk and chunks of strawberries. Can't wait to physically go in to the shop next time to try their other items!

This is actually located inside of Yan's Garden. As you enter, there is a self serve kiosk to place your order and pay. The good thing about the kiosk is that there are images to each drink so you can get a better idea of what you are ordering. You also have the option to select your sweetness & ice level plus toppings - but make sure to read the included toppings of the drink before ordering double! I got the taro milk tea & added in boba. This drink's description says it's chunky bits of taro but didn't realize it was tiny chunks where they just get stuck in your throat. My drink definitely didn't look like the image on the kiosk but the other 2 drinks were pretty similar. Boba was made really well but the drink was super sweet (granted I selected 100%) that it overpowered the milk tea and taro. The drinks came in a regular cup with a cute dog animation on it. Overall, in my opinion the drinks were pretty pricey for the quality.

Lychee Slush Cheesy Peach Oolong Tea

Just discovered Yan's Tea recently and it's immediately become our favorite boba place in the San Carlos/RWC area! The bf has been loving mango sago ever since I introduced him to it, and Yan's is now the closest place for us to satisfy that craving. We ordered the mango pomelo sago, lychee slushee and cheesy peach oolong tea. All of the drinks were DELICIOUS. We always order less sweetness and light ice when possible. None of the drinks were too sweet--just perfect for Asian tastebuds. I loved the cheesy peach oolong tea and wish I had one right now as I'm writing this review! You can order online but we ordered inside of the restaurant. It might look intimidating when you arrive as Yan's Tea is inside of the restaurant (Yan's Garden) but don't let that scare you off! When you walk in, the drinks counter is located to the left and there is a kiosk that you can order drinks from. Super convenient! We haven't tried Yan's Garden yet but had a chance to look at the menu while we were waiting. They had a really wide range of options including dry pot! It's next on our list of restaurants to try in San Carlos.

I am literally obsessed had almost every day last week here's a quick recap: 1) I normally don't go over packaging but the little bags that the drinks come in and the cups themselves are rather impressive. 2) prices are ok nothing out of the ordinary 3) the milk tea or usually what I get is the fruit tree is rather delicious. My main issue with it is that you cannot ask for it with no ice and they put a LOt of ice. So the downside is that the drinks last maybe 5 minutes and I spend another 20 trying to fetch the tapioca from the bottom of container afterwards. 4) additional toppings are not too expensive quite a variety yum! I wish drinks were a bit more filling or I could ask for less or almost no ice (25%) is too much and I think they put even more.

Many options including sweetness levels, ice levels, and even oat milk options l. Very clean interior and limited parking. This is near the Rita's in San Carlos. In terms of flavoring the tea was great but def put a little too much leeche The boba milk tea was pretty great and accommodating of the sweetness level. My husband is lactose and didn't know the white top was lactose. Overall great and way more options than boba guys around here.

I have boba on my mind! So good and options of sweetness, ice, and dairy. Little shop inside the restaurant. Grab Chinese food and boba!

Got the Thai Milk Tea and it was really yummy, loved the flavor and how easy it was to order. Thanks so much :)

cafe kazka is such a hidden gem in foster city! my friend and I came to check it out for lunch…read moreafter hearing it was a hong kong-style cafe, and were not disappointed at all. first, the cafe is so cute and also spotless- I could've stayed all day just reading or doing work. there was lots of outdoor seating overlooking the water which was so nice! I got an iced HK style coffee + milk tea which I've never had before but was so delicious. I'd definitely come back to try the other fruity drinks too! we ordered the tom yum noodles, preserved vegetables & pork noodle soup, salt & pepper fries, and the HK style french toast with peanut butter. the french toast was our favorite- it was fluffy and chewy and was just like the HK classic. the noodle dishes were both so hearty and flavorful too, and the portions were a good size. it did take a bit long for everything to come out, but it did seem like there was only one person working and she was very kind and accommodating when we had questions about our order. we didn't mind at all, especially sitting outside and enjoying the view! overall, I'll for sure be back for the drinks and to try some other HK style street food.

We were initially going to just stop by to grab drinks, but decided to sit down and order a few snacks as well. The location is right behind Foster City's Central lake and the weather was nice, so we decided to sit outside. We ordered the HK style milk tea, OG lemon tea, french fries, and the siu mai. If I just ordered the drinks, it might have been a better experience. The fries were okay, nothing special - they were a bit softer than I like. The siu mai was just bad. I'm not sure where it comes from, but it was gummy in texture and tasted like frozen food. There were only 5 small pieces and we still couldn't finish it. The drinks were priced fairly, but the snacks were overpriced for what it is. You order at a kiosk so there isn't much service to talk about, but we did have to ask for a ketchup a few times before they remembered to bring it to us. Maybe I'll go back to try the actual food dishes.
