We went here for breakfast. The place has a nice, cute vibe to it. The menu items are innovative, but the taste was alright. They got very busy and it took some time to get our food.

The cutest brunch spot! I recommend parking near the back because this is where you order your food/drinks before you sit down. The line can get long and extend out past the outdoor seating area. They're known for making good coffee, and they use Verve. As you can tell by my photos, I've been here many times and always have a good experience. My favorite food-wise has to be the avocado and egg toast. The sour batard bread has the perfect chew, and I love the soft boiled egg on top. The food is always plated beautifully. This place can get pretty crowded, so they ask that you don't bring laptops on weekends and holidays.

I wanted some semblance of an afternoon tea spread for my Bridgerton marathon and Mints & Honey came in clutch! I did not dine-in but picked up to go. I felt the scone price was too high but it was perfect. A good crunch on the outside with fall apart softness on the inside. Perfect texture and flavor. The house cream and strawberry jam paired perfectly. Can't have afternoon tea without a good scone! I'm still drooling thinking about the grilled cheese & tomato soup. Havarti cheese was delicious and i love the basil added to the soup. Prosciutto sandwich was good but I only got a bite while my partner inhaled it haha. Drinks were great too. Loved that the rose milk tea came with petals. Everything was packaged well and I will definitely be returning.

My friend had planned the whole day planned for us. It was high tea at Mints & Honey in the morning and then half a day at Filoli Gardens. But I guess something changed since the last time she dined here. The menu, which isn't available on their website, stated afternoon tea was pre-order only. Turns out reservations have to be made at least 2 days in advance if you want afternoon tea. This includes tea for 1. So that was disappointing to hear. It would be nice if that was stated on their website. So I sorta made my own high tea. I ordered the chicken curry toast, a blueberry scone and added creme and jam for an extra cost, and a cup of Earl Grey tea. Tea for 1 is $29, and my meal with tax and tip was $33. It was pretty good! The chicken curry was bright and savory. I liked the pop of sweetness from the grapes. The toast was thick with a crispy crust and chewy interior. It was hard to cut with a butter knife, so I removed the curry so I can bite into the bread and get the chicken afterwards. And it was a good amount of chicken as it was piled pretty high on the toast. The scone was good as well. It's more wide than tall, but buttery soft with a nice freshness from the blueberries. And it was still warm even after taking my time eating the toast. Since I had to pay extra for the creme and jam, I used as much as I could lol. And it wasn't overly sweet. The Earl Grey was good, too. The menu said it was award winning. I'm not a tea connoisseur, but it was a delicious tea that I would get again. I like that we can seat ourselves and that ordering happens with the cashier. That is so helpful when you're in a group so everyone can pay individually. There's seating inside and out, though it was cold so I'm glad we got to sit inside. There are booths and smaller tables, so parties of any size can fit. Service was quick and friendly. We got our food pretty fast, though my scone did take awhile. Which I'm thankful for because, as I said, it was still warm after I finished my toast. The playlist was interesting and eclectic. I heard TikTok favs to indie rock to 90s pop. I would like to come back to try their waffles, and maybe high tea if I remember to order ahead of time.

Came here for brunch on a late Friday morning and the place was popping! Very cute decor, aesthetic cafe vibes with some vintage inspiration (like that Smeg fridge on the barista side). It's clearly a popular brunch spot for good reason. There was no wait to walk to the registers in the back to order and choose a table. Our iced salted caramel lattes came out in 10-15 minutes, and the rose + strawberries waffle came out another 15-20 minutes later. The wait didn't feel bad because we were able to sit and relax with our coffees. The iced salted caramel lattes were VERY good. All the caramel at the bottom needed to be mixed in to the coffee, but I loved that it had great flavor and wasn't a sugar bomb. I could drink three of these! As for the rose and strawberry waffle--my goodness it was so delicious. The waffle itself was nothing to write home about, but the combination of rose jam, fresh strawberries, organic yogurt, lemon zest and crushed pistachios was pure perfection. I didn't need to use the syrup at all. I would 1000% order this again. This cafe is super cute and has so many yummy menu options, it's a worthy contender for best breakfast/brunch spot in the area!

Cute cafe that gets quite busy. Came here for lunch on a Thursday and the place was packed. There are both indoor and outdoor seating and you can enter from either the El Camino or back entrance. I tried the toast sampler with four different toppings; favorite two were 1. the salmon and 2. the fig and ricotta. Avocado and egg was good (like that the hard boiled eggs are cooked just right, and not overdone) as well but I typically prefer my avocado not mashed up. I really didn't enjoy the creamy mushroom much and would skip this next time. Coffee options were good. My friend got the rose latte and I got the vanilla bean latte. Service is friendly and efficient.

Came back and this time sat inside. It's a great spot, but I quickly remembered why mostly avoid Mints and Honey - the indoor spotlights. Outdoor seating is nice, but if you're a table inside, it's a little hit or miss if you'll get a spotlight shining in your face. I never understood why they have the spotlights, given all the natural lighting from the windows. Other than that, it's a great little café spot with a decent menu. It's cute and spacious, drink and food come out quickly, and all the staff is very friendly.

    Smoked Salmon Breakfast Sandwich

The food was good when we went and so was the seasonal drink that contained crystal boba. The smoked salmon with salad was good but not sure if it was me but the salmon reminded me of a trader Joes smoked salmon which is also good. The grilled cheese with the tomato soup was better though if you want something light but filling. The tomato soup had a good amount of flavor. Service was quick and easy to make an order. The restaurant was cute and definitely a good place for a light eats or brunch. Reminds me of a cafe where you can eat food while at the same time do some work with low music in the background.

This is a cute brunch spot in San Carlos. I went here a few years ago and forgot how it went so I recently went back and tried it again. There is a lot of seating inside as well as some outside. There are self serve water stations. The food here was just ok. I tried the tomato and ricotta toast and I felt like it was fine. It was a little pricey at $10 and I felt like it could have used some salt so I added some myself. The flavors were fine but nothing outstanding in my opinion. Sometimes I've had ricotta that tastes super good and fresh and I didn't quite get that feeling here. I also tried a Nutella latte. It was $7 which is a bit pricey but at least the cup was big. I thought the drink was tasty but I don't think I would get this regularly. The acoustics in the main part of the cafe were kind of poor. I felt like I had a hard time hearing anything in there so it was a little difficult to hold conversations. I think it's because the ceiling feels a bit low so there's nowhere else for the sound to travel. Sitting in the back outside area was cool the last time we went.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I was really craving toast, so i decided to stop by Mint & Honey. I saw that they had a toast sampler, great for indecisive people like me. I was able to try 4 different toast flavors. Matcha Jasmine Latte: 5/5 Perfect amount of matcha with jasmine. I would go back just to order this drink! Toast Sampler: 4/5 it looked pretty. very instagramable! Banana + Peanut Butter: 4/5 I mean you can't mess this up. Fig Jam + Ricotta - 3/5: It was alright. Prosciutto + Fig Jam - 4/5: yummy prosciutto. Avocado + Egg - 4/5: The egg was cooked perfectly!

Always a solid choice. I went with my new neighbor the other day and enjoyed a strawberry matcha. They have some fall drinks and menu item I want to try next time.

Cute neighborhood brunch spot with great vibes! Like others mentioned- you place your order at the back of the restaurant. So depending on where you park, you may have to walk through to get to the counter to order. You place an order and get a number and they'll bring food to you. The back patio is dog friendly which is great. The brunch menu has quite a few options, definitely focused on elevated toast options which is fun. We tried the breakfast sandwich which was good- it has avocado, hard boiled egg and tomato on it, and the toast sampler. With the toast sampler you get two slices of toast, but you pick four types of toast- they do one half of each toast with each of your selections. The fig and ricotta with honey was my favorite! Smoked salmon with cream cheese came a close second. I feel like the prices were too high given the overall level of service, and unfortunately, no refills on black coffee! Costs next to nothing but that is their policy. Otherwise- a great experience with nice brunch options, and a quiet, cute back patio.

Mints & Honey is a cute breakfast spot in San Carlos. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and a unique menu with many waffle and toast options. I especially enjoyed the avocado and egg toast with a big bowl of delicious fresh fruit! I'd highly recommend this brunch spot.

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. Come by for a meal and you won't be disappointed! I wish I lived closer so I could taste the rest of their meal. Kudos and thanks for an awesome meal!

Fambrini's is a really solid breakfast place!! They have a…read morepretty large menu ranging from sweet to savory and they do it all well. Our Food: We ordered the french toast and Biscoff Pancakes as our sweets. Both were fluffy and perfectly sweet. We also ordered the Monte Cristo and Chicken Pesto Sandwich. The Monte Cristo was okay, but the Chicken Pesto outshined it. The ciabatta bread is housemade and you can tell! Its perfectly soft and pairs super well with the garlic aoili and pesto sauce. The dalgona coffee looks amazing but is only okay, I'd maybe try something else. It is definitely Cafe style, where you order and pay at the counter first. They usually help you find seating (which is all outdoors) and bring out the food. From there everything is self-serve, whether that's for utensils or simply getting water. The food is delivered very quickly, but not super hot. Overall, I think its good food, and worth the visit if you're in the area.
