Yesterday we brought a family member here who wanted to buy her car off lease. She had gone to a different Mazda dealer in CT first and wasn't happy with all the fees and processes they outlined. At Manchester Mazda we were created by Lisa F. (Sales mgr.) as soon as we entered and handed off to Kris who was amazing. The process was outlined and straight forward., No cost inspection performed by the dealership and financing options were laid out from different lenders at different rates and loan lengths. Do not recommend the service center here. I had been going for years, after purchasing my Mazda from them. Somewhere around 2021 the whole service center changed, most of the techs I was used to seeing were gone. I went for oil changes and regular service checks and never had a complaint, until now. Recently, I brought my car in for service, I mentioned my car would be used for a longer road trip and that I wanted to ensure it was safe to drive. They found and replaced a loose control arm, along with an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. Well, about 1,000 miles into the trip, the car starts wobbling severely. Brought it to an experienced mechanic, who found that 2-3 lug nuts on each tire were so loose that he didn't have to put an ounce of force into them for them to turn, one lug so lose it was ready to fall right off the thread. I am so disappointed with the service of this place to fail at such a basic task as tightening the lug nuts appropriately, that I will never return. I spoke to the management who seemed genuinely disinterested, though he said there were processes in place to prevent this from happening again. I don't know who got hired back there, but if they can't be trusted to do the most basic safety check on the vehicle, why would anyone entrust your service center with the care of their car's safety? They didn't offer a refund of my service or any token of retribution for their failure, just an unenthusiastic "we're sorry". Negligent and unacceptable on all levels here. Find a good, well trained, experienced mechanic, don't waste your money and potentially risk your life by going here. read more

I bought a used suv in 2019 in pretty good condition but by 2021 it needed a new battery. Had it towed to Mazda, battery was replaced with 3 year warranty. "New" battery died 4 months prior to expiration leaving me stranded. After having the battery replaced AGAIN I contacted Mazda. Brandon their manager refused to honor the warranty. I would not recommend having batteries or brakes installed there. read more

I brought my 2017 Mazda CX9 with 54,628 miles on a flatbed tow truck July 12, 2024, due a cracked cylinder head due to the coolant leak on/in engine and I should contact a local Mazda dealership because this was too big of a job for my mechanic. I called the service manager on July 15th, 2024, and he informed that he would hopefully take a look at the vehicle Wednesday July 17, 2024. Did not hear from service manager Chris Wright so I called Thursday July 18th, 2024, and spoke with Erin and she confirmed what my mechanic had diagnosed. Chris was awesome contacting Mazda corporate, and they are agreeing to pay for everything minus $250. Erin tells me do not know when we will get your car in the shop. I call on August 8, 2024; to check on status of vehicle and Erin tells me it's still in the parking lot and we have cars ahead of yours and I am short staffed and technicians on vacation. I ask Erin when my car does get in how long it takes to replace a cylinder head, she says I have no idea, and you'll must likely get your car back in October or November. Awful service. read more

Bought a certified pre-owned vehicle with 3,000 miles from them in December 2024 - essentially like new. "What a steal!" I thought to myself. 1 week later one of the tires was flat from "wear and tear damage". Strange, we've been living and driving in the same area for years, no flats. Bad luck I supposed. Have to wait a week for the tire to come into the dealership, because no dealership carries these tires for some reason. $350 later, we're back at it. Fewer than 2 months later: another flat. Different tire. No nail, no nothing. Just another "wear and tear" flat, unfixable. The GM says, "sorry, tires are never covered under any warranty". My point is, what kind of garbage tires do they put on these cars. Not their problem technically under the law, but common sense tells me that this is unfortunately a scam. Definitely will not be purchasing anymore cars from them (or perhaps Mazda in general). read more

If you are in the market to buy a car, this is where you want to go. First impression of the dealership itself is that it is a beautiful, clean yet stylish space. We called ahead to test drive a car and less than an hour later we were on a test drive. They are a no haggle dealership which really takes all the negative aspects out of car shopping. Everything was explained to us, they even showed us everything they did to the car before putting it up for sale. When it came time to complete the sale it was like talking to a friend, Bill Nolette makes the whole process painless. They even gave us a more than fair price for our Highlander with 243k miles on it and a blown head gasket. They went above and beyond and in the end we drove away in a 2017 Mazda CX-9 that we love. I mention Bill Nolette specifically but everyone there is great, friendly and helpful and they treat you like a valued customer. First and last time going here.... Called them up to see if my under warranty CX30 should have any steering wheel squeaking in the cold. They told me no. So I booked an appointment to come down. I sent them the video and I don't think it was ever shown to a tech. They said I might need to leave the car so we took 2 cars there. Instantly on arrival, my husbands tire started to spew air when he parked the car. I went inside to tell them that now we couldn't leave my car and that he needed his tire looked at. Which they did. They charged us $55 to patch the tire. What did my husband run over? A LICENSE PLATE SCREW!!! It came from thier lot, on a wasted trip down there. They didn't seem to care; so we paid the bill. That is the last time I'll be going there. I'll deal with someone who actually wants to talk to me about my concerns before I waste my time driving down there. read more

Recently purchased new from Mazda of Manchester. With all the consumer information available these days, new Mazdas basically sell themselves, the dealerships basically direct traffic, manage the transactions and negotiations. Having said that, Mazda of Manchester was extremely efficient and professional and I drove off feeling I had been treated extremely fairly, especially during the trade-in appraisal process, which can be very painful, as I learned at rival Mazda dealerships during my hunt. With dealer discounts and Mazda Loyalty rebates applied, the OTD price paid was thousands less than I had budgeted. Lisa and Kris were helpful and knowledgeable throughout and after the transaction, and were very flexible in working within my schedule and timeframes. Social-distancing protocols surely compromised the typical workflow in the dealership paperwork process, but everything was handled creatively and efficiently. Responsive: Had an issue in one of our maintenance visits and Justin quickly addressed it and resolved it. I like to bring my car into the dealer for anything more complex than fluids or suspension/brakes/exhaust. I've brought my Protege in a few times, and each time I've received prompt and professional service. I know a lot of people are wary of bringing their car in to the dealer for repairs because they're afraid it's going to be way more expensive, but honestly, their hourly labor charges are the same as other surrounding shops, and what they charge for parts is very fair. In addition to getting honest repairs (something I always worry about with other shops), they're also very fast. I called Monday morning for them to see my car to identify a coolant leak. I brought it in, and by noon they called me to tell me what repair needed to be done, and by 3:00 I had my car back, repaired. The technician took the time to tell me what they did and advised me to bring my car back if I had any concerns. I'm fortunate to have this place in town, and they also have a courtesy shuttle so you can go home while they repair your car. read more

Worthy of 4.5 stars :) Though I bought my Mazda from a dealer in NY, it is just too far for me to drive all the way from Storrs to have my car maintained regularly.After some research online and some friends' recommendations, I have finally decided to have my car maintained over here (since some time over a year ago). The service has been great. The manager is polite, patient, and efficient. When I requested more information on the items I am interested, they don't seem bothered to print and show me all the options (tires, parts, internal item replacements etc); one time I have even requested a printed versions of 3-4 quotes for a further consideration at home, no rush from their business at all. They also provide a free checkup for your mazda after a regular oil change, couldn't get much better if one wants quality service. I have also had friends/ accompanied friends to get vehicles from this place. I get to know one of their salesman, Jay; nice guy, talkative and helpful. One of my friends had spent almost 2 months searching, filtering and negotiating with this dealership until he finally decides to get a used Mazda3 over here, great atmosphere with little pressure. It seems like this place have much concern for your interest instead of just pushing to get business done. (Unlike the Honda dealership in the same area, yuck!) Half a star off for having the sales department and service department disjointed at times (slows the process somewhat sometimes), but not a huge concern in my opinion. read more

If you want to work with an honest, fair, customer-oriented dealership in buying your next car, I can't recommend Mazda of Manchester more. I worked with Brandon Hansen (on a recommendation from a friend) on purchasing a new 2015 Mazda Mazda6, and he was great. While test driving, he walked me through the many features of the car, including many features I didn't even know cars were capable of. He thoroughly explained all the features, accessories, technology that come with the car, and was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the car, on top of being very pleasant to deal with. We were offered a fair value on my trade in, and without even asking, Brandon came back to let us know he had found another $500 credit we could use towards the purchase of the new vehicle. It was time to seriously car shop so I stopped into various local dealerships to check what was available in my price range. Mazda of Manchester was my third stop. I really liked the look of the newer Mazda3 and Mazda6. When I did a bit of research, I found that they were well within my price range. Called and dropped in at Mazda of Manchester and got paired up with sales person Kate Mikaley (sp?). Kate was a breath of fresh air after the high pressure tactics at two other dealerships in Hartford. I felt immediately comfortable with Kate, there were no high-pressure mind-game shenanigans from her or the other sales managers. We sat down, she asked me questions about what I was looking for, I told her my price range, and that I had never driven a Mazda before so I wanted to see what that was all about. We took a walk on the lot and pinpointed a few of the cars that I liked in my price range and Kate showed me a lot of the features. She knows her stuff, pinpointing safety features of the car, the space of the trunk, the mpg, etc. I want something sporty but she knew from our talk that safety came first for me. We took a Mazda3 out for test drive and then a Mazda6. I liked the handling of the Mazda6 better. After the test drives, we sat back down and I told her that I was still in the initial stages of looking and she gave me her business card. I also was introduced to the sales manager and another sales associate who was also French Canadian. They were all very friendly. You felt like a family member there, not an opponent where they want to wrestle the most amount of money out of your wallet. Even though I ended up buying from my brother's best friend who gave me a killer price on a car that I couldn't pass up, my experience at Mazda of Manchester was so out of the ordinary that I just had to post this review. I was also pleasantly surprised that all the sales staff I met at this dealership were so not your stereotypical sales team. It was relaxed, it was collaborative, and it was most of all FUN. Who doesn't want to have FUN when car shopping, right? I cannot recommend this place or Kate highly enough. She was a customer at Mazda of Manchester before she came to work there. I wish I could give these guys 900 stars, bar none some of the best service I've ever received at an auto repair center. To set the stage I'll let you know that I was in Manchester for a cyclocross race, I live in Providence so it was a bit of a drive. After racing I was sweaty and covered in mud, dirt, and blood and so ready to get on the road to get home and take a much deserved shower. The minute I got on the highway after leaving MCC my car starts preforming poorly, I get off at the next exit and luckily there was a repair shop right at the base, Carter's Chevrolet. The man working the counter was very kind especially considering I looked a hot mess. After explain my situation he told me he wouldn't be able to help me but their sister store Mazda of Manchester could. He looked up the triple A number so I could have my Miata towed (I didn't have my card on my person) to MoM as well as calling ahead and assuring me that they could squeeze me in. When I arrived at the Mazda dealership the mechanic was very friendly and gave his full attention when I explained the problem. The man inside working the counter (Service Manager?) was extremely cordial and ever so accommodating considering they were going to close in about half and hour or so. While they were not able to fix my car that day they later gave a diagnosis at a superb price so I could know what I was dealing with and get back on the road. I wish I had gotten the service manager's name as he was so warm and helpful. Being a women going into a shop can be intimidating or wrought with attitude problems and misogyny, I can assure you that will never happen at Mazda of Manchester, It was exactly the kind of service you dream about. So of course I went into this dealership like a complete skeptic when looking for a CX-5. Let me be clear: That was NOT the case with Mazda of Manchester. It was one of the smoothest car-buying experiences I've had. Shout out to Mike in internet sales who worked with me very fairly on pricing. Very responsive and helpful. Then, ask for Ron Sloan when you go. He's knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. He showed me the ins and outs of the CX-5, answered all of my questions clearly, and took us on the best test drive yet! It wasn't one of those where you just get on the highway for 2 seconds. It was more like a 20-25 minute adventure of neighborhood streets, to highway, to hills and windy roads. He really gave us the full experience. I also had a unique situation where I had to wait for the title of the car. Plus, I was going to be out of the country during that time period too. Well, Ron and the whole team worked with me with no problem. They provided a loaner car to me until the title came in--no rush to give the car back; it's mine to use until it comes. It hasn't happened the last 4 times I've been there. Definitely not liking the service. I literally could not possibly have been happier with my experience this past week! It's been really hard and stressful car shopping until the second I walked in to MOM. Friendly, speedy staff. Non pushy sales men. Extremely accommodating. Great pricing. No stress buying all around!! Everything was perfect, special thanks to Mark, Ron and Rachel who were awesome from start to finish!! I would recommend everyone check this dealership out first thing when you are looking to purchase! One thing I have to edit....so while everyone that works there is extremely nice and pleasant..I've had some issues. Within the first month of me having my car it was in their shop 4, maybe 5 times to have various repairs, the rotors twice, the brakes, the water pump went bad, the thermostat broke and the coolant tank had a large leak that would cause my car to go into limp mode and strand me places. So I had to pay over 150$ each time for two tows to their shop, mere weeks after buying the car. Then they 'fixed' all the problems which was great but the issue is it seems like they used shotty/cheap parts to fix things. I'm guessing they get the rotors they use on eBay because they are absolute junk, and I'm doing mine this weekend for the third time since thanksgiving, but this time I'm doing them myself with GOOD parts lol. (It's not the way I'm driving lol I've had other mechanics including another well known dealer look at the car and they said the parts are crap) so yes, they made it right and fixed Most of the problems but not really up to standard. I don't think it's the techs, I'm sure their hands are tied by management when it comes to quality of parts. (They told me that these were bmw oem parts, some are for sure not) now I have had the car about three months, not even, and the transmission is slipping and acting up. It's now going to the bmw dealer for a transmission service on Friday. (This is going to cost me upwards of $1000) Just a warning to maybe have a used car you may be considering here, checked out by a private mechanic before purchase. They had told me that my car belonged to the owner of the dealerships family....I would have expected it to be in better shape I guess if that was the case. They claim to have a 128 point inspection but missed all these issues, that worries me. Long story short, they fixed most the issues but poorly in my humble opinion BUT everyone there was really lovely and pleasant while they were doing it, so that's something lol read more
