It was ok. Our server was fine, and the food was ok, but nothing that knocked me out of the park. My partner had the roast beef dip, and he said it was good. He liked the onion rings a lot, and said they were better than he's had in a long time. My meal was not really memorable. Parking is tricky, though I think they may have a valet on weekends. But it's in the middle of a shopping center, so there are other stores and restaurants competing for parking. It's also a sports bar, so it's really, really loud. To the extent that we couldn't talk without having to raise our voices considerably. We all ordered drinks and delicious food and my oh my, our experience was just phenomenal! For appetizers, we had the poke nachos and the calamari. The poke nachos were so good and the tuna was fresh and spicy! Super yum! The calamari was served piping hot, toasty and crunchy. The cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were robust, sweet and tangy...perfect compliment to the calamari. Our dishes were all over the place but every single one of them were flavorful! My bf had the BBQ bacon cheddar burger with a side of truffle fries. He said the burger was juicy and the bacon was crunchy. He also said the BBQ sauce the burger was smothered in was tasty. My mom has the Mediterranean salmon while I had the Whiskey glazed salmon. Oh my goodness! My mom said her salmon was so flaky, cooked to perfection and flavorful. While I am not normally a sweet person, my salmon was perfect! The glaze was a little bit sweeter than I would have liked but regardless, I loved that they put the glaze sauce on the side so that it'd be easier to control. My salmon was flaky and the glaze was sweet but savory. Lastly, my father got the spicy jambalaya and he couldn't stop raving about it. It came with rice and he said it was delectable! Our waiter, Mitchell, was honest to God, one of the best servers we've had in a while. He was sweet, kind and attentive. Whatever we asked for, he got. Whatever we needed, he got without even being asked. At the time we went, it was around lunch time so it was busy. This place has been around for awhile and I've come here too many times to count, almost always for the happy hour. The happy hour is a decent deal here, has gotten a bit pricier over the years. This time we got 4 different appetizers, more than enough for just 2 of us. 1. The poke nachos were my favorite of the bunch. The right mix of flavors, the seaweed strips added a nice texture and flavor to the nachos. Not a whole lot of poke but a good enough amount for maybe 1 piece per chip. 2. The chicken nachos- HUGE, enough just to order this for a meal for 2 adults. I think we always order this because who can pass up the amount of food you get for the price on this one. 3. Onion rings- a tower of onion rings with 2 different kind of dipping sauces, the sauces though were lacking in flavor and nothing really stood out with the sauce when dipped and eaten with the rings. 4. Korean boneless wings- a hearty portion of wings, smothered in the korean gochujang sauce. It came with a sauce to dip in as well. Went to Yardhouse on happy hour time Thurs. Yardhouse is a known commodity - known for its huge beer list, but they also have quite an extensive list of wines, cocktails and drinks in general. In my younger days Yardhouse was always a destination. Happy hour offers deals on beer, but I like it for the half off on pizzas and select appetizers. That comes out to about $5-8 an appetizer. I cannot come up with an explanation of why they don't offer something like fries or pretzel. I saw another tables pretzel I really need to try that next time. We had 4 apps for our evening out this time. Poke tacos:. My favorite of the evening and was awesome on presentation - very pretty and it had so much flavor. Most flavorful dish - the seaweed strips really completed the dish. Onion rings tower - was probably a foot in height. The onion rings were good, beer batter kind of breading, but the accompanying sauces I thought were lacking in flavor. Chicken nachos:. I usually get the chicken nachos because it's just absolutely huge. When it arrived at the table (since it was loud, I didn't hear the server say the platter was hot). I actually remarked did this thing get bigger? If you want guacamole and chips, you should get the chicken nachos since you get a nice ice cream sized scoop of guac and two scoops sour cream. Lastly the boneless wings Korean style. I was expecting more like Korean sticky wing (spicy sweet soy w/ sesame seeds) but it was just gochejong (Korean pepper paste). It was dry and came with maybe a mustard sauce that lacked flavor. So a bit disappointed in that dish, but it was fun eating them with little wooden sticks like street food. The server was pretty good. We took a look at the neat little kiosk thingy on the table which had quality yelp style food pics, their beer suggestions according to your taste, order dessert, page your server and even split bill/pay for your meal directly at the table (receipts print/email as well) - I liked this gadget, helps out the server a bit and speeds up dinner service especially if you needed to catch a movie next door. It was really juicy, tender, and flavorful. It came with a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. Both side were good. We also ordered the Al Pastor Taco and the Asado Taco ala carte. Meaning it comes with no sides. You can get rice and beans, but I opted out. Both were very good, however the Al Pastor was actually my favorite. It was really tasty. I have to say, I had a great experience at this location. I had been wanting to try YH for a while and on a Sunday brunch on a snowy day, it couldn't be more perfect. Service was outstanding from start to finish. The waitress was friendly and personable throughout the time there. No bottomless mimosas BUT they have a HUGE menu that you can choose from. They also have a brunch special where you can get certain appetizers and plates for cheaper prices. Poke nachos were delicious. Def a new favorite. Somewhat spicy with jalapeños along with bits of avocado, the tuna is also fresh and tasty! When the skirt steak came out it was nowhere near medium. It was so raw and bloody, it was practically mooing at us. When we asked politely to exchange for a burger instead given the situation, they handled it flawlessly and also had the manager come and apologize to us personally. I ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it came to my table smelling so foul. Turns out it was beyond burnt. I think the cook left it in the frier too long. The toppings were sparse and there was no juiciness at all. The waitress didn't come by until family was done eating, and by that time I didn't want a replacement. She delivered such a great experience we continued ordering things. There was 3 of us and we ordered the Calamari, firecracker shrimp and cheese curds for appetizers. Everything was delicious. For entrees, we had the filet, lobster and shrimp noodles, and grilled pork chop. So delicious and the pork chop was perfectly juicy and tender. We also had a few cocktails, the dragonfruit martini 10/10 and the wood fire old fashion. Both drinks were perfect we even ordered more. I did try the lavender martini and I didn't like it at all! I was extremely happy Viri spoke with her manager Mike about me exchanging it The Mgr Mike was also extremely professional and friendly. Yard House is a family favorite when we are in need of a good, hearty meal. We decided to come here last minute on a Wednesday and we were worried it would be crazy busy. Luckily, they have a waitlist that you can join before you get to the restaurant which definitely sped up the seating process. When we checked in we were 13th in line but the line moved very fast and after 10 minutes we were seated! We ordered a number of apps and mains. A few stand outs were the giant pretzel and the side of free fries which we didn't order but ended up at our table. Not complaining. My sister and I split the Firecracker Shrimp and the BLT. Both were great, but they aren't kidding when they say firecracker. Spicy! My dad had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which he enjoyed and my mom had the blackened tuna sashimi which she said was delicious. The cheeseburger cane out without cheese. I unforgettably the waitress, she said agree would bring out cheese. She did. She brought out a cold slice of cheese, really???
