My first time visiting Landmark and we would definitely return. Not a fancy place by any means but it's quality food and a casual feel great for a family lunch or dinner or a great place to watch a game. They have patio seating as well. We were told to just sit anywhere we wanted when we walked in. Our server was great and friendly and gave us great suggestions. We ended up ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer which was very tasty but I found the chips to be a tiny bit stale tasting. The tap water was also a little strange so I opted for an iced tea. The cheeseburger club burger was great and I loved the parmesan bread it came on. We also had the spicy beer cheese burger and it had a little kick but nothing over the top. It was also delicious. We will definitely return and I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

Good service beer list and massively cheesy nachos make this local place a very good stop. Sure it gets a bit loud but the friendly waitress and good menu make this staple of the hood a great place to catch up with friends or to watch a game.

Seat yourself restaurant/bar with indoor and outdoor seating and lots of street parking. We got the sampler which came with mozz sticks, buffalo wings, cheesy store tots, and chicken tenders and 4 different dipping sauces ($19). We also got the spicy beer cheese burger to share so they split it between two plates which was really nice. Staff was nice and the place was clean. Make sure to check out the specials as it seems like they change often! Wish I left some space for dessert but def would come back to try

Landmark is still my favorite place in town. They always have great service, tasty food, ample portions, and affordable prices. My favorite dish to order is the colossal nachos - vegan style. However, today, I got the veggie burger, which is vegan. It's a good mix of veggies, lentils, and rice but falls apart when on a bun. I arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday, and only a few tables were full. By the time I left an hour later, most of the tables were full. I prefer to go at quieter times like these (no popular sports game on TV). Landmark feels like a home away from home. The staff is always warm and welcoming.

A casual tavern in downtown Northbrook offering traditional bar food and drinks. One of the few places that serves food late on a weeknight. Stopped in after 9pm on a Tuesday and this place was packed with softball teams - kids ,parents and coaches . We waited about 20 minutes for a table but our server was super efficient and friendly. Started with their appetizer platter which was good in quality and the portions were very generous. The loaded tots were amazing! Also had an order of their Buffalo Wings (Medium heat)which were tasty and meaty . Again, huge portion. Others in our party had one of their half pound burgers and a cup of chili. No one complained and said the food was delicious. Menu is huge! If you want a casual atmosphere with good food, this is a place to try. Outdoor seating available (Weather permitting). Street parking is available plus there is also a public parking lot in the rear of the building.

Landmark was a great spot for dinner with the family!!!! They had a wide variety of options which made it very hard to choose what to order. They had a great patio as well, so I recommend stopping by in the summer. The greek fries were my favorite thing we had & the saganaki is also a must!!!!!

I would have liked to give Landmark Inn Bar & Grille another star. There was no real wait, and all the outdoor seating was taken. We were told there was a short wait for a table indoors. We stood aside. Understand, there were four of us. One was over 90 years old and was having trouble walking. (That was obvious if you have eyes.) We entered in the rear, where there was a ramp. The wait station was on the other end of the patio, an easy walk for two of us, but not the third. After waiting a few minutes, they told us we had to walk down a small flight of steps to continue to wait. They were insistent, so we took my mother and carefully helped her down the stairs. They called us to go in as soon as we got to the bottom. It was difficult for her to get down the stairs and harder to climb them. They never should have told her to take the stairs. She is 4' 9" and takes up little space. That set me off and put me in a lousy frame of mind. That poor service was enough to walk away, but we were there anyway, so we decided to go in. Indoors, the Landmark is a bar and grille. It is mainly a bar with tables along the side. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't loud either. They have a large menu with lots of options. My wife and I split a combination fajitas, my mom had the Mediterranean Veggie Wrap, and my son had the Lamb Burger. The fajitas were okay - I prefer ones from a traditional Mexican restaurant more than they served. The portion was ample. My mother enjoyed her meal. And my son really liked his burger. I'm disappointed in the ignorance of staff who don't notice that some people have challenges. The food was good overall. But they should have never taken the approach they did while we were waiting. For that reason, we will not return.

This was the only restaurant in the area that had a late night kitchen after attending a graduation ceremony so we were willing to wait for a table. Packed with families after a game and bar regulars this place was hopping on a Tuesday night. As soon as a party departed the staff was very quick to clean and reset with the manager/bartender helping out. Our server was fast, helpful and efficient but the real surprise was how good the food was. Everyone enjoyed the appetizer platter, chili, wings and burgers they ordered. Drinks were served fast and cold. Enjoy this classic neighborhood bar in a historic building when in Northbrook.

A classic sports bar in Chicago!

After the photos, he spent some quality chat time with the kids he encountered. The food and food layout and seating layout here were great and it's a much better setup here than at the overly spread out Oakbrook location. I particularly enjoyed their prime rib, smoked salmon, and waffles with home-made whipped cream. Our server was prompt and attentive despite how busy it was. FYI - Pinstripes had some financial difficulty and was recently bought out by an outfit called Punch Bowl Social. They have closed some locations nationwide, but thankfully both Oakbrook and Northbrook look safe for now per the media. Yaay, and best of luck going forward!

We were able to get last minute reservations for 8:30 on a Friday, which was surprising given how extremely busy this place is on the weekends. We arrived on time and were seated quickly without a wait, which was another impressive moment given how packed the restaurant was. Dining here is like dining in the city on the weekends, with a majority of the crowd tending toward older groups of friends or families without children. There was one family of four who brought their child with them, but generally we saw couples and groups of friends. Dress seems standardly smart casual. Food: The menu here is organized into three sections: small plates, mid-size meals, and entree-sized portions. Keep in mind the mid-sized plates can be on the larger side, so the tapas-style menu can be deceiving. We ordered the steak and frites and branzino as our mains, with polenta fries on the side. For apps, we ordered the butternut squash ravioli and were greeted with complimentary cheesy biscuits to start. We finished our meal with the olive oil cake, covered in raspberries. Based on what we ordered, we'd give this place a 4/5, simply because the steak my husband ordered was a tiny bit tough and overcooked (ordered medium rare, received medium well). The cut was a strip or a ribeye, so unfortunately on the tougher side, and less flavorful. My fish was nicely seared but the cannellini beans that were paired with the branzino just didn't do it for me. Branzino is a white fish that tolerates spice and garnishes very well, so it could have benefited from some more complex flavors. That said, we will be back for the ravioli. I'd wager that it is the best thing on the winter menu (this place rotates menu selections somewhat frequently). It was creamy, complex, and soft, with a delicious umami sauce. The olive oil cake we shared for dessert was also very delicious, moist and well-paired with simple cream and berries. Nice and simple but did the trick without being overwhelming or cloyingly sweet. The biscuits are also a nice touch: soft and buttery, not dry, and baked fresh. Overall, I'd say that veggie and pasta dishes are the way to go here, and potentially the fish if it is paired with a more complex side in the future. We look forward to future menus!

We started with shared appetizers, including the deviled eggs and shrimp, both of which were very good. I also ordered a "side salad," which turned out to be huge, but it was fresh, tasty, and exactly what I was looking for. For dinner, I had the sea mullet, which was a generous portion, well-seasoned, and really enjoyable -- so much so that I couldn't finish it. The cocktails were also well-made and pleasantly strong. Overall, the pricing felt reasonable, the service was quick and efficient, and the food was consistently strong. This is an easy recommendation for a business dinner, but it would also work well for a casual date night.

We came for an evening with friends and decided to take advantage of the Sunday "per la famiglia…read more(serves four)" special when we saw the menu. What looked like a generous offer of comfort food at a reasonable price, at a lovely Italian restaurant, was actually a gimmick worthy of Ebenezer Scrooge. Dinner started with a tasty chopped salad that would have been a reasonable entree for one or enough to share as an appetizer for two. It was a large spoonful each for four. The four garlic knots that accompanied the salad were each about 2x2x2 inches, and when we asked for a refill of both the salad and bread we were told "that's all you get." The spaghetti came with 2 meatballs in a portion size that looked like it was enough for an entree for only 1 person. We waited a moment and when no more came realized we were screwed. Later, seeing our disappointment, the waiter was kind enough to secretly get 2 more meatballs out of the kitchen for us to pretend there were portions for each person at the table. Had they been serving Italian tapas, maybe we could have pretended it was a fair approach. The 16 inch cheese pizza was good but nothing special and the tiramisu provided 4 small pieces a little larger than the garlic knots mentioned earlier when cut into squares. I don't know what kind of "famiglia" Salvatore "Sal" Lo Cascio, the culinary director at Ballyhoo Hospitality, or Ryan O'Donnell, the CEO, have; but they probably don't eat very much. Perhaps they expect the famiglia of their guests to be a single parent with young children or a group of little persons. In short, the food tasted good, the dining room was lovely, the service was outstanding, and the portions and prices were a complete rip-off to the point that the place should be put out of business. With two iced teas, a glass of house wine, tax and a generous tip the bill came to well over $100 and this morning when checking the receipt for this review I found out that they charged us $8.00 for the extra meatballs which the waiter pretended were a secret, complimentary addition. Not very nice!
