Looks like a dope spot. Big giant open floor plan. Super high ceilings definitely gives it a larger than life feel. Plus the tap pipes from the brewery room to the bar gives it that really trendy industrial feel. I had one of their house beers which was pretty good. I had the house golden pilsner which was totally delish. Lets start with the opening acts shall we. Poke Nachos: Ok, i'll give you this one. The dish is actually very good. Perfect for cutting the taste of alcohol when u just want to drink and yak around. Moo Shu Egg Rolls: I quite like Moo Shu, specially when i order it in a semi authentic chinese restaurant. The dish is definitely plated nice and pretty, but it wasnt very good. It was actually borderline nasty. Bavarian Pretzel: Who doesnt like a giant sized lye bread. Yes its pretty good, but pretzel isnt something to wow about. Its just twisty bread. And now for the main events... Nashville Hot Chicken: Never have i had the original hot chicken in nashville. So i wouldnt know. But these boys are pretty darn good. Comes with pancakes and syrup to make it sweet and savory dance on my tastebuds. Dark meat is a perfect choice. Flavor was on point, but im not quite fond of boneless. I feel as if they just plated me 2 thigh fillets that was suppose to go in the nashville hot chicken sandwich. Shrimp and Calamari Diablo: This dish was all over the place. Flavor was whack,, but it was at least decently spicy. The service at this restaurant was on point. Very attentive and extra timely. Not a beat was skipped. Would i take myself to this restaurant?? Nope,, probably wouldnt be my first choice. Id probably meet someone up here who's feeling some Yard House fare. Great ambiance and pretty good food. Came here on a Wednesday around 4pm and were seated right away. Our server was very pleasant and had great recommendations. I had three Pineapple Express cocktails and each were delicious. My partner ordered the vampire tacos and steak at the recommendation of our server. I didn't try them, but my partner said the tacos were mediocre despite the recommendation. I ordered the tuna nachos and ahí tuna slices from the appetizer menu, if you like tuna sashimi, definitely try. The food was not over seasoned which let you enjoy the taste of the tuna. Filling and cheap since it was happy hour! So much food and we were so full. Bill was $100 for five drinks and four types of food. Pretty good. One thing I'll say though was that there were little boys soliciting, attempting to sell candy bars at every table. I think management saw this at the end of our dining experience, but the boys seemed to have bothered a good portion of the restaurant before any staff noticed or took action. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place has poor management and leadership and it shows. First things first, I was greeted by no one. Everyone else gets a hello or a smile but me; I get an angry host who dismissed me immediately by saying we're not seating anyone tonight (even though I called ahead). That's enough for me to realize my business is not wanted there. However, my mom wanted to give them another chance. The next day, I put in my information to get on the online waiting list. I check in over the phone and I AM TOLD 15 MIN. I waited an hour and 15 min. Which is okay excusable, we make mistakes. What is not is excusable is the host agin being rude to me. She tells me she is not giving me a booth because she is giving it to someone else. Okay I must just be an unimportant black boy. I tell the manager about this and she defends the host by telling me it's social distancing and 25% capacity. First of all I know what a fucking pandemic is. Secondly, 1000s of other restaurants have 25% capacity and will still give me a booth if I ask for one without giving me attitude. After that there was hair in my food and the waiter agreed that they messed up my other order and it should be remade. He asked me what action would I like to take for the unacceptable service and I said I wanna talk to the manager AGAIN. She avoided me for 30 min so I left. We came for happy hour the day that they opened and honestly, I was pretty impressed! We ordered a ton of apps including: queso, chicken nachos, onion ring tower, sliders, carnivore pizza, firecracker boneless wings, and chicken tenders! For the most part, it was all really good! I didn't care for the onion rings, tenders of the boneless wings that much though. The onion rings were too thick with batter and soggy. The tenders would have been great but they were over cooked and pretty dry and the boneless wings were SO RIDICULOUSLY SPICY that I was done after a bite. Inside is a somewhat more compact floorplan than the usual Yard Houses out west. The keg room is on the second floor and artfully lit by blue light through windows. A central bar area with a row of taps, and a arrangement of tables. Sports TVs mounted on the bar area. Lots of local and semirare regional beers, good mix of national craft and House beers. They also have liquor cocktails, but the beers are the stars. They do decently priced growler fills. The food is a little pricey but varied, upper end pub food for the most part. We came here on a Wednesday at 1:00 for lunch and we were surprised by a 45 minute wait for a table for two. So we sat at the bar instead. It was ok. We would rather have had a table. I love the Yard House! I was so thrilled when they opened a while back and have just never had the chance to come in until now. When I lived in Phoenix, I used to go to their Scottsdale location all the time, so I am extremely familiar with their restaurant. I was meeting someone there that I haven't seen in 19 years and figured it was a great place to meet. This place is known for their beer both brewed and having all sorts of good brands on tap. It's not the cheapest place in town, but nice, and slightly more pricey. Fortunately, the place is huge, and has tons of seating, even with the social distancing and Covid thing going on. I really liked it because it was far enough away from people that we could have a more private conversation without worrying if people were listening in. I sat down with my date and reviewed the menu and wasn't sure what to get. The date and I decided to share an appetizer of sweet potato fries and a beer flight (one for each of us) to start. The fries were good and came with two dipping sauces. Yum! I wasn't sure what beer to get, and I am not a huge drinker. I do light lighter beers like Blue Moon but also wanted something "original" that I might not be able to get anywhere else. My date got oberon and some other ones, and I got like 4 different beers in my flight. Eventually we ended up ordering food, and I went with their Carne Asada Tacos and my date got Jambalaya. I did not try his food since it had pork in it, but he said it was good, and the serving was huge. My food was just enough and filled me up after eating it. Our server was good and generally took really good care of us. Most times, our drinks were filled and he would check in from time to time to see if we needed anything. What I also like about this place is you can pay for your bill electronically at your table. They have one of those small tablets where you can do everything yourself instead of having to flag down your waiter, wait for change, etc. It was very convenient. Our trip to YardHouse was pleasant and I would definitely eat there again! We did have to wait about 25-30 minutes for a table and considered going elsewhere, but decided to just stay put. I am pleased to say it was worth waiting that short bit! Our appetizer was the Chicken Nachos. This was priced at about $15 and could be a meal on it own but there is plenty to share between 2-4 people. The nachos had a bean chili topping and while tasty, made all of the chips super soggy and fall apart. They could not hold on to the other toppings and the cheese slid right off. Additionally, the guacamole, sour cream, and peppers were on top of the nachos in 3 piles which made it harder to eat as the majority of the chips were under said piles. I probably wouldn't order this appetizer again. For a main dish, the House Cheesesteak with Truffle Parmesan Fries is an exquisite combo! The steak of the sandwich is in tender bite size pieces, covered in their house steak sauce. I did not notice the garlic aioli on the bun, but i did like the type of bun used! Thick enough to hold the steak, but not too thick that you're getting mouthfuls of bread. The crisp onions on top are a nice touch as well. The fries...holy cow! So good! I'm not usually a truffle and parmesan fry person, but got them to share with my boyfriend who loves them. We both were so impressed! They had great truffle flavor and the parmesan was fresh and rich. The fries were not soggy even though they were coated in truffle oil. Perfectly crisp! The fries heated up well in my air fryer the next day. For dessert we opted for the Chocolate Fudge Cake! This cake is extremely moist and the frosting is thick and lives up to the fudge name. I really enjoyed it, and did not need much of the marble chocolate drizzle. I know they were for decoration, but I would have liked more whipped cream and strawberries to balance the sweetness of the cake with a little freshness. Our server was friendly, attentive, and willing to spend time helping pick a good beer. He had an upbeat personality and though he had many tables, he never presented himself as overwhelmed. Went for a dinner with my bff! It was Saturday 7pm and a LONG but accurate wait time which I can appreciate, we waited in the car for about an hour and 15mins. We initially were seated by the door and felt cold, we politely asked the hostess to move, and they moved us with no problem. Our waitress was awesome and gave suggestions. Our appetizer took a little long but all of the food was hot and delicious. The wings were are great appetizer. The pork chop and turkey club were both great. I went to the Yard House for the first time on the suggestion of two trusted friends. I'm glad I went, the staff was friendly, the seating was comfortable, the food was very good, and the prices were very reasonable ($75 before tip for 2 people sharing an appetizer, each having 2 beers, and our meals).
