If are a fan of beers, sports, and good vibes, then this Yard House location is for you. Also, if you have been to other Yard Houses, then you should not expect any surprises here. First up, this Yard House has a very generous happy because many appetizers and pizzas are half off, and beer, wine and cocktails are $2 off. I think there are over 10 items on the half off appetizer menu, so you can have a decent meal on the cheap. My personal favorites are the Poke Nachos and Fried Calamari. Be aware, the appetizers are pretty huge which makes them great to share. While the food may not be absolutely amazing, it gets the job done...especially for the price. Also, the menu is HUGE with various sandwiches, pizzas, steaks, salads, etc. You name it, they have it. Since it's located in a central part of D.C., YardHouse is a great meet up spot before going else if you choose. Our bartender/server was awesome and great at making small talk and ensuring that we were well taken care of. While the bartender that served us was pretty amazing, I'll say that some folks on the service team were a bit unprofessional. On several occasions, two servers would come to bar to pick up drink orders for their tables. Of course, this is perfectly normal. But, the manner in which they were speaking about their customers really rubbed me the wrong way. I get that you might want to blow off some steam after dealing with a bad (or not so great) customer, however, I thought the language was a bit inappropriate. Would love to give a 3.5....rounding up to 4 due to the service We ended up here after walking out of another establishment for the poor service so we were pleasantly surprised at how attentive the staff was despite the place being extremely busy (we sat at the bar) The beer selection is phenomenal and my husband had a smoked old-fashioned and said it was made very well (and to think we had just left a distillery restaurant that did not make one well) The food was underwhelming. We had the boneless chicken wings, which were good. Nothing fancy, and then we ordered the cheesesteak sandwich. This was comical. It looked like steak-ums thrown on top of a hoagie bun with a slice of Swiss cheese and it was then microwaved. Yard House in Washington DC was a great experience. It's a great place to go to watch sporting events. There are TVs everywhere and plenty of seating. I would suggest getting there as early in the evening as possible because it can get busy and you can't make reservations. The ambiance was sport bar vice but cleaner and more friendly oriented. The food was phenomenal. The food came out fast and it was hot. The restaurant has a variety of selections to choose from. Popped in for some carryout. While waiting I grabbed a Espresso martini at the bar. The place was pretty busy on a Sunday around 12:30 pm. My service was quick and friendly at both the carryout desk and the bar. The place is basically a sports bar so it had different games going on all over the place. My to-go order took about 30 minutes. I ordered the carnivore pizza and the Korean chili garlic wings. Everything was cooked well, full of flavor and tasty. We were here on a holiday and it was surprisingly pretty empty. Our server was wonderful. Attentive, funny, never rushed us, etc. The food menu is plentiful and always delivers. I'm a big fan of their queso. The mac and cheese is also a favorite of mine. And well, I've never had anything bad here. The beer list is just as plentiful. All kinds of options. Yard House for NYE was pretty chill. The crowd wasn't bad and it was easy to get a seat at the bar. The staff was very busy but tried their best to be attentive and get our orders to us quick. I got the orange chicken and it had a great flavor but the chicken chunks were kind of small and reminded me of chicken tenders and didn't have enough sauce on them. I will not order this meal again. I also had sweet potato fries and lemon pepper wings which were good. The bar gave everyone a free flute of beer to cheers at midnight along with a noise maker. I thought it was interesting that the restaurant advertised to spend NYE with them but they also closed at 12am on the nose and were very obviously trying to encourage people to leave. However, I normally eat appetizers from Yard House because I usually visit another location, and it's normally during HH. I couldn't recall the name of the drink that I was looking for, although my waitress was helpful. This was not the drink, but it was good. The firecracker shrimp was good over this had to be a fried rice cake, which was not half bad. As for this sweet and spicy shrimp noodles dish, I ended up sending it back because the noodles were overcooked. Again, I've never had dinner here before, so I was trying something different, but that wasn't it. We usually play pickleball until 11 pm on Tuesdays. Some of us were hungry after the game so we started looking for restaurants that were open that late in the night in the downtown area. Fortunately, this was open. We called ahead to confirm if they really were cause google is not up to date sometimes. I ordered pale ale and spicy jambalaya. Their kitchen closes at 12 midnight. One of the best jambalayas I have had in the DMV area. It has chicken, nicely spiced sausage, shrimp and bits of crawfish. I absolutely enjoyed my late night delicious dinner. Ambiance and service is great! It's so easy to find parking that late on the evening. Highly recommend this place. I am going to come back again to try other things. read more

We were promptly seated after having made a reservation. There's a large selection of cocktails, beers, wines, so there's something for everybody. Expect service to be on the slower side while they're busier: sometimes it took up to 20 minutes for us to get beer on tap. The food was delicious, albeit also requiring good amount of wait. Came here after seeing a movie at Gallery Place. Customer service is a bit lacking in the front as we weren't greeted or anything. Just kind of stood and waited for someone to acknowledge us. They ask how many in your party and your cell number so they can text you when your table is ready. Once you get to the table you can order your apps on a device they have but if you want drinks and a main course you have to wait for your server. We had Kevin and he was great. There's lots of seating inside and at the bar so I would be shocked if this place would have a long wait but it's always winter so that may play a part. The food came out very fast and for late night (10pm) that was appreciated. We ordered: Lemon drop with Tequila - 10/10 - lemon drop girlies stand up!!! Calamari - 7/10 - a bit chewy for my taste and the breading fell apart immediately so the crunch I was looking for wasn't there. It was served with a jalapeño tartar which was different but I enjoyed it a lot. Bbq Burger (subbed cheddar for BC crumbles) - 8/10 - I ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked. I wish it was seasoned more and the bacon was crispier but outside of that it was a solid burger. It came with fries and they were just ok. Wings - 10/10 - Half Buffalo & Half Korean Chili Garlic. This is one of the loudest restaurants I've ever been to. The decibel count was mid 80s with the constant blasting music. So loud the waitress got one order wrong. The manager was not able or willing to reduce the volume, blaming corporate rules. Not good for kids. We did discover a quieter room upstairs that would have been good for our kids but too late. This was my second attempt to dine at Yard House. My first attempt was the Springfield Va location and it wasn't a good experience. We visited the DC location on a Monday night to watch football. Because there wasn't an event at Cap One, there was plenty of street parking and the place wasn't crowded. There are TVs all over so wherever you're sitting, you have a view. If you like beer this is the place saw for you. The options were plenty. The wine and cocktail options were good too. Our server was very attentive (wish I could remember her name). We ordered the Mediterranean salmon, Ahi Tuna salad, Kale & Romaine Caesar salad with blackened shrimp and the Shiitake Garlic noodles. Most of our food was good with the exception of the noodles...overcooked. We stopped in on a busy Friday evening so we knew it would be busy but we got seats at the bar. The server left us sitting for several minutes with trash in front of us. And we had to eventually ask for menus to get their attention. Then it was kind of a sad comedy as she could hear us and we couldn't hear her over the music but we got orders in. Then she went MIA for a good long while. We got the vampire tacos and a burger. It took a really long time for that and when it came the kid delivering tried to give us the wrong food. Then we got that straight and I got my tacos. Still no brlurger. Also, no salsa or hot sauce and I couldn't get any of the other bar staff to come over. Finally the burger showed and it was a tasty burger. Blueberry sauce? Weird but it really works. The tacos were awful. The fries were limp and gross. It felt like they got a really good chef to create the menu and then had a Taco Bell crew make the tacos based on that chefs instructions. Eventually the server did come back. And we tried to pay with the dumb tablet thingy but it tried to make us sign up for their emails to pay the check so we had to wait again for the server to get off her phone and cash us out. You know I started writing this with three stars but reading back over it I think 2 is more accurate. Edit: it's now the following day. My First time at yard house, my boyfriend and I sat at the bar where we were served by a young lady bartender, she asked what we wanted to drink and make them. Once we received our drinks she never once asked us did we want to place order for any food, waited more then 10 to 15mins , literally we had to ask another bartender to place the food order, which he was very nice about it. Our food came out fast and everything was good other than the service we received at the bar, not really attentive and favored one side of the bar.
