We were in town for a few days and stopped in for drinks and snacks. The bartender was very nice and helpful. It is a bit upscale, but not too much and it was a fun stop. We tried deviled eggs and fried pickles along with a few beers. It's a good place to try.

I visited Ted's Bulletin in December 2025 for brunch with two colleagues, and the experience at the NoMa location was phenomenal. I've been to the U Street/14th Street location before, but this one is by far my favorite. The ambiance, aesthetic, and overall layout are modern, cute, sexy, and elevated. I absolutely love the bar space -- it adds such a great touch to the atmosphere. Our server was extremely accommodating and gave us wonderful recommendations, including the viral cinnamon roll -- which is an absolute must-order. Yes, you have to get it. It did not disappoint. Our appetizers were delicious, my entrée was really good, and overall the experience was seamless and enjoyable. I would definitely return to this location again and am already planning to be back in 2026. Highly recommend.

My partner and I made our way into Ted's Bulletin on a (holiday) Monday for brunch. It was busy but only about a 15 minute wait. Our server was kind/efficient and gave us some recommendations. We got the cinnamon roll to split - I wasn't expecting it to be that big - but it was so delicious and we loved it. I got the Turkish eggs for my meal and they were delightful. Everything was cooked well. The cold brew was OK - I felt like it was a bit too bitter but I did enjoy the hazelnut syrup. My biggest issue was our seating. We were sat at a small high top that I felt like was more fitting for the cafe section than dining. It was really hard for us to be able to have the cinnamon roll appetizer and our meals.

I am a frequent customer because normally the quality of the food is worth paying for. Today however, an incompetent greeter who I suppose was trying to be helpful and an incompetent "chef" working the pass failed to add my side order to the bag ‍. Yes, I know I should have checked the bag, but I'm a regular, - they always get it right. Not only did I have to return to get my side the food was over done.

First time trying Ted's Bulletin and I was definitely impressed. The atmosphere was really nice & I noticed a lot of families dining in, which gave it a warm, welcoming vibe. Our waiter was friendly and gave great recommendations. I ordered the Ted's Bulletin burger with the egg fried hard, and let me just say this was my first time having an egg on a burger, and I'm sold! I'd get it again any day. I also swapped my regular fries for truffle fries, which were a great choice. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken with biscuits and got the sausage gravy on the side. The chicken was fried perfectly with a nice crunch, the biscuits were soft, and the sausage gravy was so good you could honestly eat it by itself. My daughter got the mac and cheese with a side of fruit and cleaned her plate.. no crumbs left! I'd definitely come back, especially to try their breakfast/brunch since they serve it all day. Overall, I'd recommend Ted's for a solid breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

An elevated casual experience. Honestly the best deviled eggs I have ever had. All the classics but an updated, high quality version. Good in a pinch - but on the weekends, make a reservation if you can!

This particular location is absolutely my favorite for the ambiance alone. They were easily able to accommodate my group and we had an excellent server that attended to all of our questions and dietary needs. Three things that I will never skip at Ted's Bulletin: devilled eggs, fried cornbread, and Ted's tarts. Each one is very well executed and a crowd pleaser every time. My fellow diners enjoyed a variety of dishes, but the short rib stroganoff was definitely a standout. Everyone certainly left full and happy. A few had shakes to go, which might have been the least exciting thing, but it was an overall satisfying meal. Go! Take a date, bring a friend or colleague. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing. Service by Luke was great, atmosphere was relaxing, & the food was wonderful as was the lattes. Expansive menu. The shredded hash browns made me so happy! You don't see them many places. Everything was perfect. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in D.C.

A solid breakfast joint that is still relatively new to the area. Friendly service and relatively affordable (given the high-end area). I definitely recommend the hash browns and the biscuits and gravy were okay.

Amazing brunch! Our server Jaiden was lovely. She was very knowledgeable, all of her recommendations were a 10/10. The mimosa kit comes with delicious champagne , the gin and juice cocktail was so strong . I would go back just for that cocktail! The cinnamon roll was as big as my head. So hot, delicious, and can pour however much icing you'd like. A must try, but remember it's large. We split between 4 ppl. A delicious sweet treat after our meal! I "made my own mark" breakfast combo with their Virginian ham, bomb.com and not too salty. Id def order my hashbrowns crispy next visit. Thanks for everything Jaiden. Good luck at Howard

We had a reservation. I lucked out and got parking right outside. I liked the comfortable seating at the table, they had high chairs available, and the decor has an upscale look. I enjoyed my meal, they have an affordable children's menu, and they brought out a tart for my birthday. It was a good time.

LaDreena W.

Great crowd for Happy Hour! I had soup and cornbread to start, then the HH nuggets meal for my entree. It was a really good value for the quality of the food and the ambiance was also nice. I want to come back for the breakfast items.

Chicken and waffles meal was really delicious! The farmer's scramble was really nice as well, and it had a ton of vegetables. Really loved the vegetarian options! Breakfast is available all day. Google led me to Ted's, which is both a sit-down restaurant, but also a cafe/bakery in the front. I had an iced Americano, and asked for a tiny, tiny splash of half & half. I also had a strawberry "poptart". The "poptart" was pretty good. When my coffee came out, it was white. Literally, white. It was whiter than the iced chai latte with whole milk that my husband had gotten. I had to send it back. I asked for it just black this time around, because I just didn't trust them to get "a splash" right. They were willing to do it, which was nice. The coffee was good, but it just wasn't what I had originally wanted.

They are happy to recommend beer for your taste, and let you sample. It can be very busy and difficult to get a seat at the bar or get a table on a Friday or Saturday evening. We ordered food, and were expecting elevated bar food. The tater tots were a huge disappointment- they were very large squares , bland, and not crispy. The wings were okay. I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it. Well I do enjoy burgers and plenty of places have upped their burger game. As much as it cost for a burger at certain fast food places you might as well hit up some of these other places. The prices are basically the same now. On a few trips to Capital Grille I did go with the burger and so I decided to check out its affiliate Capital Burger. Capital Burger actually has more burger options to choose for over Capital Grille and a more slimmed down menu. Still with the name burger in its name, you know where their focus is. I went with the bacon cheeseburger that comes with candied smoke bacon that came at $22 with your chose of sides (fries or various salads). It was cooked to the perfect medium rare and you can tell when a burger is cooked with better ingredients and cooked with a give a damn. It was not thrown together, and the fries were not just sitting under a heating lamp. I actually ordered a to go burger for the spouse. Here is where customer service comes in. I was asked how far I had to travel and the person taking my order said she will separate portions so it will travel better. Thank you. It is that little extra that goes a long way. This time I went with the Capital Burger to go along with some key lime pie to nibble on later. Great service and great food. There are plenty of good burger places but if you are a burger fan then definitely check this place out. Absolutely no disappointment. For a true high end burger experience I have no problem giving this place a solid five stars.
