Came in for lunch. Grabbed a burger with tater tots, wings for an appetizer, and hot ham and Swiss cheese sandwich. Hit the spot for what I was looking for. The service was good. They had a good draft beer list.

We were at a conference near this restaurant and it was recommended by a local. It's a small business that actually looks closed at the end of the road. Once inside it was really nice full of personality, and there was even a crowd. They had a bar and inside/outside seating, we were seated immediately and given ice cold water. The menu was simple but we saw someone near eating a burger so we chose the burgers me with Swiss cheese and my mom with American cheese, it was served with a sliver of lettuce, onions and tomato. They had mustard and ketchup on the table so we had to ask for mayo. The burger was thick and juicy but no flavor not sure if it's because it was closing time. The food was hot and freshly made. We also got kids meal tenders very hot but she ate it all.

Solid spot for dinner/drinks, especially if you're a packers fan. The cheese curds are AMAZING - I'd come back for those alone, haha. But the side salad and wings were also good. I'd come back!

My chicken tenders salad was flavorful! I liked it a lot. Our waiter hasn't come by much, though, for drinks or with the check. Ambiance is your typical sports bar. What irked me a lot was the infomercial channel playing the whole time.

Great place to grab a beer and kill some time. Staff are friendly and attentive. All the food smells delicious.

We walked into Hamiltoms about 3 on 4th of July. The place was pretty full. We got one of the last tables. The bartender was also our server. All the staff was working hard. My boyfriend had the Hamilton burger. It was great. (I may have had a bite of it) it was nice and juicy. I had the French dip. It had a delicious horseradish sauce on it. Dipping in the aujus just made it even tastier. I'm kinda sad I had a salad. The boyfriend had the tots....they were perfectly crisp.

I have frequented Hamilton's the past two years I have been in DC and this is a great place in for a beer, food, and especially the pretzels! Prices are fair and reasonable and the staff is awesome. Scott Hamilton answers email ASAP and runs a great place. I will always come here when I'm DC and recommend it to everyone I know! See you guys again soon from Oklahoma!

This place is tucked away off of Constitution Ave NW, on Second St NW. If you're in the area of Capitol Hill and become thirsty, this is a nice little watering hole. The service is good, staff members are kind and attentive. I would describe Hamiltons as a "dive bar" (these are some of my favorite bars), with cold beer and decent finger foods. Next time you're in the area, take a load off, and grab a beer.

Great vibe for lunch. We sat at the bar and had good conversation and even better food while visiting DC for the weekend! Quick service.

Came here for lunch with a group of friends. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich ($15) which overall tasted good, but the chicken itself was small. Tater tots are amazing and are a must. Service is pretty standard.

What time is happy hour on Fridays and what are the specials?

Hey, our Friday happy hour runs all day(11am-close) and features the best deal in town! $1 Pabst Blue Ribbons and Miller High Lifes and $5 Truly flavors.

I'm excited to watch the Packers games with fellow fans, but I must sit down to enjoy the game. So, early is best to get a seat the reviews say. My question is how early is "early"? One hour? Two hours? 30 minutes?

My friend hosted a happy hour there, and I love when events like that introduce you to new spots. The drink specials were honestly amazing with $6 drinks, which is hard to beat. The food specials ended at 7 while the drink specials continued until 8, so I was a little bummed to miss out on that. One thing to note if you're ordering food, the four cheese pizza comes with burrata, which I didn't realize ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food, especially the flatbreads since they seem to have a lot of good options. That said, I don't think the staff was fully prepared for the size of our group. My friend brought around 60 people on a Friday night, and it was clear the servers were overwhelmed. At times, it took over 10 minutes just to place an order. I don't necessarily think that's the norm, so I'd be open to coming back during a regular happy hour to get a better feel for the service. Great size bar as well.

They are happy to recommend beer for your taste, and let you sample. It can be very busy and difficult to get a seat at the bar or get a table on a Friday or Saturday evening. We ordered food, and were expecting elevated bar food. The tater tots were a huge disappointment- they were very large squares , bland, and not crispy. The wings were okay. I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it. Chowder came out pretty much right on top of my salad, but no big deal. Chowder was decent taste, but only found one clam. Ok whatever. It was so rare, that it was extremely hard to cut through, but again, who was I going to talk to about it. No wait staff would even look my way. I couldn't even get a refill on my water and there is no place in the app to order a glass of water...so that's that. Unfortunately it was just an extremely bad experience for $40.
