Brussels, Chicken Mole Taco, Veggie Taco - Vegan, Chicken Tinga Quesadilla

Food is really good and flavorful! Not typically a taco person I am blown away at the $5 taco! Each for $5 to $5.50 was not disappointing. Very filling and flavorful, the mess in the hands is worth it!! The chicken mole tacos also has some heat to it, not overwhelming but ads to the punch in your mouth. The vegan taco had lot of mushroom for you fungi lover. Service is a bit strange and slow. If it's not a reserved table you will have to order at the bar and food will be brought to you. If you make reservations, a sign will be on the table and you will be served. The patio stops taking reservations after 4:30. I recommend trying outside since the inside is really dark!! If you like it dark this is perfect. No librations for us, but if u like coffee get ready to be up as they are strong!! And no, they do not have decaf options,

I get my hair done on Melrose and when I found out that my hairstylist had someone in their chair still, I decided to grab a drink and something to eat walked in was greeted. Very warmly made great conversation with the bartenders and I ordered the cactus prick man was it delicious... Service super quick ambience think old school library with a bunch of umbrellas Super Cool spot. I'm like wondering how I never knew that it was here so I ate the taco so fast it's like I literally inhaled it. You will miss this place. If you don't look for it it's kind of a hidden in your face spot, but don't make the mistake of passing it by.!

I held my wedding & reception at Umbrella Co because it's iconic. Plain and simple. I coordinated the whole thing with Liz, who was exemplary. Chef Justin designed a whole Filipino menu for us, and everyone was raving about it. The staff served some tasty drinks via a custom menu. Service was excellent and vibes were vibing. What a perfect setting for an unforgettable party.

I usually eat at Tacos Umbrella next door. This was a nice upgrade in terms of comfort and food selextion. They share the same kitchen, but a larger food menu and also serve cocktails. I had carne asada and al pastor tacos. It was good as usual. I've been eating this food for the past four years and I appreciate how consistant it has been.

Came on a Saturday night for a drink (so granted it was busy) and immediately loved the vibe. The atmosphere is chill and it's nice and dimly lit with somewhat of a unique aesthetic compared to most places in LA which I appreciated. We were seated by the fireplace which was so cozy but what we had an issue with was the service. We were greeted pretty quickly once we sat down, ordered 2 drinks and a cup of fries and it took over 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I got the "Three sheets to the wind" and my boyfriend the "Irish goodbye". Both the drinks were pretty good. I'd come back just for the "Irish goodbye" which they don't tell you is a frozen cocktail but was still amazing. They gave us complimentary champagne which we didn't ask for and they comped the fries which we appreciated for the insane inconvenience of waiting 45 minutes for 2 simple cocktails. Honestly, I'd still come back and give another chance cause the drinks were really tasty and absolutely loved the vibe, just wish we'd had a better serving experience initially :)

What a disappointment. First time there and expected way too much. Had dinner reservations and were sat in the bar area. When requested a possible table change, the hostess showed her annoyance on her face and by her quick and curt reply, "we're completely booked." I get it. It's a "hot spot". But not even an apology or feigned effort to accommodate us. We looked around and there were plenty of other vacant tables. When our server came, I asked IF there was a cancelled or missed reservation at another table if we could take it. He too looked bothered by the request. We watched him go ask the same hostess and she scrunched her face and said, "I already told them..." yes, she already told us, my inquiry was IF by chance someone were to cancel, could we change tables. Anyways, after looking at the menu, it was mostly bar food--nothing I'd consider dinner. We left. Found a GREAT place one block north. They were packed, but very hospitable and accommodating. They allowed us to sit in a lounge-like area and provided table service. Umbrella should take note. Even if the answer is, "no," try not to be so nasty. We won't be back. But can't WAIT to return to the other place!

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after brunch. It was soooo hot inside even with all the windows and doors open i couldn't stop sweating there was no airflow at all. Tables are sticky. Drinks are meh.... Nothing special tbh. I prob wouldn't come back unless I was walking by and wanted a quick bev.

We had a blast! It was a bit of after party of my husband's birthday and we got here to get a few drinks and snacks. First of all, how cool is the interior!! It had a gothic vibe and everything looked sophisticated yet very welcoming thanks to the bartenders making the best drinks ever and making you feel good about coming to the bar. I also loved the fact they had such good mocktail selection and it was very much elevated cocktail experience (not those sugary drinks with basic soda ingredients but actually very good rich in flavors items - I had nonalcoholic Negroni and it was phenomenal) Additionally, I think for the bar food it was pretty good! Normally you wouldn't expect much from the bar but here it was actually tasty. Well done team! Thank you again - we had the best time

This place is a hidden gem. It has such a beautiful atmosphere and vibe. My daughter and I came for lunch and we had the best fish and chips ever the fish was so tender. I couldn't believe it. Our waitress Shelly was super kind and her helper with glasses and a hat was also very helpful. I would highly recommend coming here. They have a really good menu.

The team behind the bar is what first brought us back time and time again as regulars and now as friends. The cocktails are beautifully balanced, the food is perfect for snacking and the ambiance is always on point--except when the bubble machine makes an appearance. Weekend DJs consistently set the right vibe and keep the energy up. Perfect for an afternoon beverage or an evening third date. Thank you George, Teddy, Zach and Henry.

Yes, I've seen kids eating there. I don't think they have a "kids menu" though. I might be wrong. Never noticed. Lol

Yeah they let us bring in two back in October. I don't imagine that would have changed.

Perfect place for it. When I lived over there, I'd do exactly that.

Are dogs allowed to go inside or do they need to stay in the outdoor seating area?

Yes, Irish coffee is my go to drink. I had two bartenders checking on me and my Irish coffee experience, I recommend it.

The food was just as memorable. The chicken Parmesan was everything you want it to be: crispy, flavorful, and topped with a rich, perfectly balanced marinara and plenty of melted cheese. The Rigatoni Vodka (we added a meatball) was equally impressive. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overly heavy, and the meatball was tender, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. One thing to know before you go: parking can be a nightmare. There is valet in front, or you can opt for parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You're better off grabbing a rideshare if you can. It makes the experience much easier, especially if you plan on enjoying a few drinks. Between the beautiful ambiance, generous portions, and delicious food, this is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

We originally…read morewanted to try another restaurant, but it was completely booked, so we looked for somewhere new to explore. Met Him At A Bar seemed like a good option, and one of my girlfriends made a reservation for four. Our reservation was at 7:00 PM. I street-parked and walked to the restaurant, where one of my friends was waiting outside. I asked why she wasn't sitting at our table, and she told me that our table was right by the entrance. She didn't like that spot and thought the tables farther inside looked much more comfortable and cozy. Since people were sitting at one of those tables, she wanted to wait until they left. Personally, I thought the table by the entrance was perfectly fine, but I was also STARVING! Another friend arrived and also disliked the table, so we decided to wait. After a while, I was getting way too hungry, so we sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer and drinks while waiting. I first ordered the Garlic Shrimp and asked if it was spicy. I was told it was, so I asked if they could make it without the spice because I can't eat spicy food. He said he would check with the kitchen, but since I was starving and it sounded like it might take too long, I changed my order to Garlic Bread. One of my girlfriends ordered a glass of wine, and since she had made the reservation and gone through the trouble of arranging everything, I treated her to the wine and garlic bread. Then, of course, our friend who is ALWAYS late arrived about 30 minutes late! By then, the rest of us had already decided what to order from the Dine LA menu. We wanted to try as many dishes as possible, so we ordered different items and shared everything. When our late friend arrived, we ordered his dishes separately. For the first course, we had Caesar Salad, Bruschetta, and Meatballs. For the second course, we ordered Rigatoni Vodka, Cacio e Pepe, and Margherita Pizza. For dessert, everyone ordered Tiramisu. Overall, I thought the food was good. My favorites were the Bruschetta, Meatballs, Rigatoni Vodka, and Tiramisu. The Cacio e Pepe was not my favorite because I thought they used way too much black pepper, and my other friends agreed. Our group had mixed reactions overall. Except for one person, the other two felt the food didn't quite live up to their expectations and were somewhat disappointed. But everyone's taste is different, so I completely understand. Considering how expensive everything has become these days, I thought the Dine LA price was pretty reasonable. It was $45 per person, and with tax and tip, it came to $60 each. For that price, I thought the amount of food and the overall experience were pretty good. I also really appreciated how friendly and attentive all the staff members were. I usually don't drink alcohol, and especially when I'm driving, I NEVER drink--not even a sip. That has been my personal rule for decades. So I just ordered water, and I loved how the staff kept coming by and refilling my glass whenever it got low. I drink a LOT of water, so I really appreciated their attentiveness. Now, about parking: valet parking is $17. I decided to street-park instead. One of my friends also street-parked, but unfortunately she got a parking ticket and was VERY upset. I had originally found a spot where a sign said a parking permit was required, so I decided not to take the risk and moved my car. Before leaving, I asked a man walking his dog if it was okay to park there. He said he had seen many cars parked there and they had been fine, but I still didn't trust it because the sign clearly said permits were required. I told him, "I don't think that's allowed." He was very nice and suggested going about three blocks farther, where there was plenty of street parking without a permit. I followed his advice and parked there. Unfortunately, my friend who stayed in the permit-only spot ended up getting a ticket. Another friend parked in the parking structure across the street and said it cost $18. Since I had parked farther away and didn't want to walk alone at night, I asked him to drop me off at my car after dinner, and he kindly did. So my parking recommendation is to use the $17 valet or street-park about three blocks away where no permit is required. I definitely would NOT recommend parking in the permit-only spaces unless you want to risk getting a ticket. One of the funniest things about this neighborhood is the restaurant names. The restaurant we went to is called "Met Him At A Bar," and literally right across the street is "Met Her At A Bar." There's also another restaurant called "The Night We Met." I have to say, the names are pretty creative and definitely make this neighborhood more fun! Overall, we had a fun evening together, and for $60 per person including tax and tip, I thought it was a pretty decent Dine LA experience.
