The Sommelier set up a wine tasting and found impeccable wines to be served at a great price, and a wonderful sparkling wine as well. Our guests received impeccable service from the entire staff. There was no need that was not met in a timely manner. In the days following the event many people complimented us on our choice of venue and how wonderful the food and service was. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. We bought one of their packages which included greens fees, breakfast tacos and two drink tickets. Breakfast tacos were outstanding. The course itself is beautiful. Lots of challenging holes and very well maintained. The greens were almost perfect and this was in January. Highly recommend this course and will be back to play it. They have two sister courses in the area as well.

I did however have to pay for a 3rd that I originally booked even though he could not make it due to illness but that was clearly communicated when I booked the round with the course. Unfortunate but I was very aware. The course was fun, challenging and well kept for a public course. The greens were slow but were in such great shape, not the norm for a public course either. The driving range is small and just OK but it gets the job done. I would love to play there again when I'm in North Austin.

I was attending a Homeowners Association Meeting on behalf of my dear Daddy at The Hills of Lakeway Country Club- yes the one with the Jack Nicklaus golf course - don't even ask how I know this... The meeting lasted from 8:30 AM till 12:30PM and I was so hungry afterward I headed straight towards the smell of food at the Live Oak Bistro only to be denied because I was wearing denim jeans. Behind me a white haired gentleman with a heavy southern drawl said "Oh Darlin I forgot to tell you this place has a snobby dress code". The host was so shocked she let me/us in. I had a delightful meal with a handsome older gentleman in a place I will most likely never eat at again since there is a strict dress code and I like my denim jeans whether they cost 5.00 or 200.00... If you ever have the pleasure of eating here they make an amazing Gyro Sandwich - tender roasted lamb in a pita with lettuce tomato and a tangy sauce.. Very memorable lunch too bad about the dress code and member rules since my lunch was so good... I played 18 holes here for the first time two days ago and I really enjoyed this course. There is a clubhouse that serves drinks and food. They also have a "beer cart" that drives around. I like that bc I needed more ice for my cooler and for my drinks. The bathrooms are located on hole 4 and 13, so plan your potty breaks. The course was very nice, well laid out. The green was cut short and the course was kept up. There are some serious golfers here, so watch out if you're like me and you move at a slower pace. They catch up w/ you quickly and they don't like waiting. You can let them move in front of you if you like. Overall, I enjoyed the course and will definitely be returning.
