The cucumber salad is a must-try. It has the perfect balance of heat and is seasoned to perfection. It's simply delicious! The miso ramen, on the other hand, could have used a bit more flavor. My niece was craving Takoyaki, so I searched for restaurants that serve this dish and Yaya's Bowl was recommended on the top three lists. For starters, we ordered Takoyaki and wonton in chili oil. Next, we tried a Chinese ramen called Braised Beef Ramen with egg noodles and a Japanese ramen called Tonkotsu with egg noodles and shrimp tempura for protein. Takoyaki was satisfactory, but the wonton in chili oil was exceptional. It surpassed my expectations, considering my limited interest in steamed wontons. Beef ramen featured good quality beef and perfectly cooked bok choy. The tonkatsu was truly remarkable. It achieved an ideal balance of saltiness and umami, without being overly salty. Tucked away in a strip mall off of Market Street, Yaya's offers an interesting menu of Asian dishes. There are two distinct dining areas; the entrance off the street has menu boards, a counter, and very distinctive orange seating. The other dining room feels like a traditional Asian restaurant replete with tables equipped with a lazy susan for family-style dining. Although we saw Customers enter and order at the counter, we took a seat at a table and were waited on by a very polite server that knew the menu very well. She started our meal with a small serving of very tasty pickled bean sprouts, with carrots, and peanuts. We started our meal with the Hot and Sour Potato Salad. This seemed like what you'd get ordering hash browns at a Chinese version of Waffle House. It was shredded potatoes with carrots cooked in a spicy sesame sauce. It was very tasty, but could have benefited from another minute in the wok. The serving size was a bit skimpy for $8.95. Next up was an order of vegetarian dumplings. These were fantastic and quite possibly the best dumpings I've ever eaten. We received half a dozen incredibly fresh, just steamed dumplings that received a delicate pan fry. The included dipping sauce actually detracted from the dumpling because they were so flavorful. These are highly, highly recommended. Wow! Our Yuxiang Pork Ramen looked deceptively small but was actually a very large serving. There was a large bed of fresh noodles that had just been cooked with a generous serving of pork, wood ear mushrooms, carrots and peppers cooked in a spicy sauce. There was definitely some heat, but it was not excessive. However, I thought the sauce was somewhat gloppy. This was good but the consistency of the sauce detracted from the dish. All in all, our meal at Yaya's Bowl Ramen & Dumpling was a strong 4-star meal. If the sauce of the Yuxiang Pork Ramen had been less gelatinous, this would have been a candidate for a 5-star review. Exactly what we needed on this side of town! When I saw a new ramen and dumpling restaurant was opening in the shopping mall on market I was more than excited. You order and pay at the cashier, but the staff sat us and gave me a menu to let me circle which food items I wanted to order. They were planning to come back to the table to get my order, but I just went to the cashier since they were busy. There are two separate indoor seating rooms, no outdoor seating. One of the indoor rooms has 2 family Chinese style seating tables. I was impressed with the variety of menu items. Nice that they had both customizable Japanese and Chinese noodle soups. We ordered beef mantou, sesame balls, takoyaki balls, fried homemade pork and cabbage dumplings, steamed homemade vegetable dumplings, and 2 ramens with fresh noodles (one with tonkotsu, one with shoyu base, both with chashu pork). We also had a bottle of Japanese lychee carbonated drink and complementary Chinese potato salad. It took about 15-25 minutes for all of the food to be done, with the ramen taking the longest. We overall enjoyed all of the food. Even though the Japanese Ramen wasn't super authentic, at least they got the marinated egg and chashu pork done right. I still enjoyed slurping the noodles from the soup. The mantou was not the mantou bun I was thinking of, it was actually the open steamed buns with meat and hoisin sauce. Still good though. Sesame balls are generally my favorite-they were fried crispy and the filling was done right. What was different was they were on the smaller side and were sprinkled with sugar. I gobbled them right up. Takoyaki balls were great, presented so pretty. Homemade dumplings were wonderful. Potato salad was delicious, not very spicy. My toddler tolerated it. Lychee drink was tasty. They had to help us out to figure out how to open it. High chairs available, no booster seats. Staff were very nice, nicer than any Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I had lunch here today. At the counter, you check off what you'd like to have on a laminated menu, but the friendly woman behind the register just took my order since I dined in. I ordered the Japanese Ramen with tonkotsu base sauce, fresh noodles, chashu pork and an extra egg. The broth was light but didn't have a creamy texture, and the noodles were almost overcooked, rather than having a chewy texture. The Ramen egg was very salty. It didn't have much of a sweet flavor, so it seems there was not enough sweet mirin in the marinade for the eggs. The chashu pork was sliced pretty thin but flavorful. It was a good soup (not the best Ramen I've had) but the salty eggs sort of ruined the dish. The place is nice with lots of tables but not crowded. There's a second room too. I will come back to try some other items on the menu such as the pan fried dumplings, their rice bowls, and Chinese Ramen. read more

We got the tonkatsu ramen and beef rib ramen with fresh egg noodles (noodles were pleasantly chewy and not soggy) and they were both really good and filling! The pork and cabbage dumplings were our favorite and thought the shrimp and chive was alright (we thought the shrimp would be minced and not just a portion of whole shrimp inside). We tried their soup dumplings but the meat was somewhat dry and seemed like it was store bought. It was no where near as good as their pork and cabbage dumplings and definitely don't think we would order them again especially since the prices are a bit high. The service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. It was also clean and casual inside. I would definitely come back for their dumplings and ramen. read more

I love this place! We got dumplings, cucumber salad, boiled beef, skewers, and mapo tofu. Mapo tofu is my favorite dish and it makes me so happy. I was even able to get it without the pork for a veg meal. Ok. I gave this place another chance cause the boiled Szechuan beef looked amazing. They sent a HUGE portion but when I ate it- it was SO freaking spicy I couldn't eat it. I love spicy- but beware!!! This is like extra spicy where your stomach hurts. The beef was done well, but I couldn't eat it. The cream cheese wontons were really good and crispy. Delightful experience at YaYa's Bowl last night (Fri 10/11/25). My wife and I started with the chicken teriyaki steamed dumplings. Love the build-your-own ramen option. She ordered the miso broth/egg noodles/tempura shrimp. I went with the kimchi broth/egg noodles/tempura shrimp. Loved the friendly service, dry-erase menus, fun wooden soup spoons, and THE FOOD. Had been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! Dumplings, cream cheese wontons and ramen were all great as was the lychee green tea. I was craving some really good dumplings and this hit the spot. Portions and prices were fair in my opinion. Ordered takeout online and it was ready pretty quickly (less than 20 mins) and piping hot. Staff was responsive and the order was all correct with all the fixings included. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and had some nice seating areas.
