Stumbled across Ye-Du with a friend of mine the other day. It's a PR karaoke bar. If you need an explanation on what PR means feel free to message me.
It's on the corner of 41st and College Point, on 41st. When you get to the doors, you'll notice that there are these monstrous castle-like doors. Once you head through these doors you'll be slightly blinded by the ridiculously pretentious design of the place. To your right there's a walkway that will lead to the host stand and the main bar area and the left leads directly to the karaoke rooms. In terms of the main bar area, there's 4 or 5 red velvet round seats and a bar that has comfortably uncomfortable bar stools. The bar stools are comfortable because of the cushioning and back support. The uncomfortable part comes from the sides of the bar stool which make it really awkward for you to use as an armrest.
Anyways service is okay, beers are $6 and you're looking at bud, bud light, Coors Light, Corona and who can forget the king of Chinese beers, Heineken. Unlike some of the other Chinese bars they actually have a decent assortment of hard liquor and the bottle prices are not bad at all, Johnny Black is $120. If you're looking for something nicer you can get Johnny Blue for $398 or Macallan for around $200. As with most other Chinese bars, do not expect the bartenders to know how to mix any drinks.
They open around 9pm and I think PR services are available starting around 9:30-10:00pm.
Don't fret that this place is in the basement. There's free WiFi read more
