    Braised Beef Noodle Soup
    Kayla Y.

The restaurant is on a side street so a bit hard to find at first. We came on a weekend and there was no wait which was nice, but it was steaming hot out so I wish they turned on their AC a bit more. The service was friendly and fast with someone coming around frequently to fill our waters. We ordered - chinese yam and earwood mushroom salad 3/5, a bit small and the taste and sauce was thicker and different from the classic garlic and onion - braised beef noodle soup 4/5, hearty but tasted clean. the meat was very tender and the broth was tasty - fried pork chop 3/5 classic but nothing really stood out from it - stir fried cabbage and pork 5/5 my favorite dish here, a bit salty but great with a bowl of rice everything here was pretty good but the prices are a bit steep in my opinion

It is traditional Xiao-long-bao, and it is real good.

It is a great place to have Chinese food in New York. Food is quickly served, it is tasty and staffs are very nice.

Soy Bean Dry Noodles, Sesame Paste Noodles, shrimp soup dumplings

Had the shrimp loofah soup dumplings. I liked how delicate the skin was. Can't believe how quickly it came out-5 to 10 min after ordering. Typically at restaurants it takes 20 minutes to steam. Soybean paste noodles (jia Zhang mein) and peanut butter noodles (they call it sesame noodles) were also tasty. Would enjoy the food more if the service could feel friendlier.

I was very excited of this knock-off-Din-Tai-Fung menu opening in downtown Manhattan. But it was a very underwhelming dinner. *Garlic Cucumber Salad - huge pieces and under seasoned. *Fried Pork Chop - thin, dry... *Wontons in Chili Oil - wonton filling was very dense *Scallion Pancake Wrapped Beef - dry, cold, missing sauce/seasoning *Soybean Dry Noodles (Zhajiangmian) - not loving the noodle type *Braised Beef Noodle Soup (Half Tendon, Half Meat) - lukewarm, not enough flavor (prob waterdown), beef was okay. *Signature Kurobuta Pork XLB - very thin skin i appreciate that but very light on flavor. *Shrimp and Loofah XLB - I was so excited for this as I could only get in Asia, but it was bland. This has such potential. Hope it gets better.

    Soup dumplings! Yum

I was warmly welcomed and encouraged to sit. Food came immediately and was delicious! An easy walk from Battery Park on the way to the World Trade Center (where there aren't as many interesting options). Great place to sit and catch your breath and enjoy a reasonable and delicious lunch.

We ate here for a late lunch after the ferry to Statue of Liberty. It was not busy and they were very nice and friendly. The food was amazing! I ordered the bibimbap and it was the best I've ever had! The fresh soup dumplings were really tasty! My husband ordered the hot pot and it was decent and my daughter ordered the chicken fried rice. Everything was really fresh and we'd definitely recommend stopping in there.

The best Chinese restaurant in the downtown Financial District! The environment is very clean, cozy, and welcoming. I highly recommend the stir-fried cabbage and the xiao long bao, they taste incredibly fresh and delicious!

It was pretty good and I had a pleasant dining for a quick check on its XLB! As a Din Tai Fung XLB lover, I would give the XLB 9 out of 10. Not greasy and the filling is solid. A bit lacking flavor but it is what it is. Will post an update with more dishes when I have another lunch or to go dinner. The service is good and attentive even it's a busy lunchtime.

Stif-fried Black Pepper Beef with Okra Hot and Sour Soup White Rice

My favorite spot for a cozy, simple, yet delicious meal. I ordered the Stir-Fried Black Pepper Beef with Okra ($26) and it is just as flavorful as it sounds, with a hint of sweetness and a peppery finish that lingers in the best way. The hot and sour soup (small, $4.5) is equally comforting, especially if you enjoy a bolder, peppery kick. I've been dreaming about that beef and okra stir-fry since the first time I had it. Not pictured: the soup dumplings, a must try. They're handmade, tender, and easily some of the freshest you'll ever have. Eating in this clean, quiet setting feels like stepping into a soft memory I didn't realize I missed. It's the kind of peace that feels like home, like your grandma has spent all afternoon cooking your favorite dishes, knowing exactly what will make you happy and full.

Brought some family here recently and we had a pleasant time. The food was good and service was quick and friendly. Some of the standout dishes we had included chicken lo mein and spicy wontons in chili oil. The vibe is pretty lowkey making it a good casual meal in the area.

Great Chinese restaurant in Financial District. We had seaweed salad and seafood hotpot, both delicious and tasty. Place got very busy during lunch hour but service was still fast and friendly. Best part dumplings are made in front of your eyes by very skilled lady. Definitely recommend.

    The Lunch Menu

The food is good & prepared well, the lunch menu is very good - but way too overpriced & the portions are tiny, the staff are very kind people too - but they have to lower their prices or give much bigger portions - no body cares about a free tiny cup of soup with lunch, make the actual dishes bigger please! don't nickel & dime the customers, $20 & $30 dishes should come with rice at no extra charge!!!

This was my first time seeing one with roasted duck though. Just a heads up that the street felt a bit sketchy even though it's near the edge of Chinatown. We were unfortunately harassed by someone outside of the store and ended up giving him a few dollar bills... *Chinese Sausage Mala Wrap $10 ** The lap cheong was spread so evenly throughout that I got some in almost every bite. The mala aioli was quite spicy, but not overpowering or lingering. The crispy shallots added such a nice crunch too which I loved! *Duck Tsangwich $16 I was quite surprised that the roast duck skin stayed crispy! The crackly cookie topping could've been thicker since it was pretty flat. They give you chili oil on the side, but it was already super flavorful with the hoisin sauce. Only thing I wished for was more cucumber and scallion to help balance out the richness.

In helping him troubleshoot the block, I learned of this amazing take out sushi that is unlike any other take out I've had before. We went for the Joji Box 1 and I wasn't sure what to expect but wow. This little box of goodness rivals some omakases I've had in person. The fish was fresh, and the rice was perfect temperature without falling apart. Even the box felt like it was a high end gift box. Everything is tucked away in this box: chopsticks, napkins, sauce dishes, fresh real wasabi, and even soy sauce from a tiny bottle. What a treat. Also their spicy tuna is easily one of the best I've had in recent years. Just wow.

I was always curios about Joji Box but it' s not cheap - so like many I wondered if it was worth it. Eventually took one for the team. The first time I got the omakase box I didn't love having to sauce/wasabi it myself but I think that's just being picky. The last time I got the omaakase box, the omakase chirashi and the maki flight. The omakase box is a good assortment with a shimi, salad, two maki rolls and 10 nigiri. The pieces vary with premium ingredients like kinmedai, ikura, uni, toro, etc. It's costly at $62 but I think you get what you pay for. The chirashi had a variety of sashimi, lots of ikura and plenty of sushi rice. It's very good but for $50 I'd rather kick in more $ for the omakase. Maki Flight is great, $21 for a sampling of their three best rolls. It's 12 pieces total but they're nice size with a good amount of filling. If you're looking to treat yourself for lunch or maybe a nicer dinner takeaway - solid choice. I'm convinced enough that I'll try Joji for real one night.

A generally positive experience and would come by again if I wanted something decently tasty and a slight step up in number of options compared to places like Dig Inn, Cava, Naya and Sweetgreen to eat in the neighborhood. This is a ghost kitchen with a variety of "restaurant names" and cuisines to choose from, and they have dozens of locations popping up in the NY metro area, marketing themselves as "a new kind of food hall." Order online, via their app or in person at a kiosk and food takes about 10-30 minutes to be ready depending on the time of day. Food is made to order and ingredients are fresh. Walking into this location kiosks and single non-gender restroom are to the back left, pickup shelves and counter to the back right, and about a dozen seats to the immediate right. We went with a couple of my tried and true options here: - chicken souvlaki and avocado open face pits sandwich from Yasas $14.20: comes with grilled chicken chunks, tomatoes, cucumbers, red pepper, feta, avocado, romaine, hummus, eggplant spread, and crispy shallots, on a warm fluffy pita. Kinda like a Mediterranean flatbread covered with lots of toppings. Tasty lunch fare. - build-your-own salad from Royal Greens $9.95+marinated tofu $2.50: choose your own lettuce and/grains mix, I chose kale and quinoa, add up to six toppings (I chose edamame, beets, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, herbed broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes), two crunch toppings (I chose only croutons this time and seems like somehow they were missed), a mini pita (if it's early enough--sometimes they run out), with a choice of dressing (charred scallion is one of my favorites here). - for drinks ordered a Diet Coke $2.50 no description needed and Poppi root beer $3.50 which is a soda with less sugar than normal (5g versus 20g+). Generally speaking since there are many cuisines coming out of the same kitchen, feels like there are items used across recipes where some dishes may have ingredients and flavors that work better with other dishes. For example I've tried poke once from Hanu Poke and it tasted kinda like a salad from Royal Greens with chunks of not-quite-made-for-poke-cuts of salmon added. And the beef burrito from Limesalt tasted like it used similar ingredients as used in the beef souvlaki sandwich. To be fair the items that are unique I've tried so far are decent quality and delicious.

I've ordered a bunch of times from Wonder from their numerous "restaurants"…read more I will say from the stuff I have ordered in the past it's actually pretty good. I've ordered Tejas Barbecue and their smoked turkey sandwich is amazing. Streetbird has some tasty and pretty good fried chicken. Royal Greens salad bowls are very good, they're huge and all the ingredients are fresh. Fred's Meat and Bread make some really good burgers, very tasty and filling. Wing Trip makes great wings and if you want to order for huge party they have options for large combos at decent prices. Detroit Brick Pizza has some awesome meatballs with parm/red sauce and garlic bread. What's really cool about ordering from Wonder is that you can mix and match from different restaurants and pretty much makes your own meals which is a great idea. My only complaint I have with Wonder is a "restaurant" named Limesalt. They absolutely suck, the food doesn't taste fresh at all. It tastes like they microwave it. I've order twice from them and it'll be the last time I'll ever get Limesalt. They don't heat up or toast the tortillas when you order burritos, when you get the burrito it's a sloppy/soupy mess that falling apart and what's worse is that the food is not even warm. This has happened to me twice now so I'm pretty much avoiding them like the plague. There's dozens on top of dozens of real Mexican food in the area so when I'm craving it I'll order from one of those instead. Other than that Wonder is pretty good, I wish they had more "restaurants" to offer or at least switch up with a new one every so often or at least monthly instead of the same old thing they're currently offering. I'll continue to order from them because they do have some decent to good food. So hit them up if and when you're in the area or get the app to order, just avoid Limesalt (yuck)
