Apple turnovers are excellent. I was lucky enough to get mine hot out of the oven (good timing). Fresh and delicious.

My family and I have always used LaLuz Bakery for our birthday cakes and have never had an issue…read morebefore. That's why we didn't hesitate to order a special two-tier TikTok-themed cake for my niece's birthday on Saturday. Unfortunately, this time was very different. After picking up the cake and heading to the party, we discovered that the cake had completely caved in. The top tier slid off the bottom tier before we even opened the box. I took pictures immediately and contacted the bakery right away. I didn't ask for a refund--I simply asked if there was anything they could do to make it right. Instead, I was told that because the cake had left the store, there was nothing they could do. I even offered to return the damaged cake. Still, the manager on duty, Mario, said he couldn't help and would pass it on to his supervisor. We left the cake with them and walked out empty-handed--no replacement, no apology, no effort to resolve the issue. We ended up going to Sam's club buying two cakes($50 total with tax), and creatively combining them to save the party. Honestly, those cakes turned out better than what we originally purchased for $150.00 from La Luz This experience was really disappointing, especially considering the loyalty and money we've given LaLuz over the years. I'm leaving this review to let others know that if something goes wrong, you may not receive the customer service you'd expect--or deserve. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere. I had a big vision for my birthday cake, since I have been looking forward to this birthday theme…read morefor years. And all I can say is - THEY DID IT. (Detailed review below. TL;DR: Absolutely will be back. Quick, easy, and transparent communication about vision, price, and all in between.) Cake Details: 9-inch, heart-shaped, marble cake with fresh strawberries, $94 INITIAL COMMUNICATION It was literally 2 minutes before closing time when I called them for the first time (my planning mishap). However, someone picked up and offered immediate, friendly assistance. I figured ordering a custom cake takes more than just 2 minutes, so I offered to call back in the morning, but she was extremely eager and motivated to help me right then and there. We discussed the general details (size, theme, flavors, shape, etc.) over the phone, and I was then provided with a phone number to text additional information and reference pictures. CUSTOMIZATION I sent 3 cake pictures as references to the phone number, and explained which elements I want from each cake. Also, I wanted a heart-shaped cake instead of a round one. I was very picky, I admit, but the team was incredibly accommodating and happy to fulfill ALL my wishes - big and small. I also sent 3 more pictures of characters I wanted to add, and yet again, they accommodated. TRANSPARENCY The communication was so easy and clear. I inquired about the price at our first meeting, and was told that all added decorations are included. (The price would have only changed if I had added another tier, changed the size, or made any other dramatic changes.) This was amazing. I was able to tell them all my detailed wishes, and I never once feared about the final price, since their communication was so clear. OVERALL This is a great business to support and order from. I was very picky in what I wanted for my cake, and they were able to match it perfectly. All my guests loved the cake - looks and taste. And it tasted as good the following days. Added Note: One of our guests is gluten-free, and I was prepared to provide a gluten-free dessert for them; however, the bakery being gluten-free is just another great bonus, and my gluten-free friends will travel to this bakery in the future. Amazing!

Those just wanting a few loaves of bread or some pies can walk in here though. Has a ton to get. The prices aren't bad for a small business like this. It's about $8 for a loaf of the Focaccia. First off, the stunning design of the exterior continues inside with a beautiful, well designed, clean, and welcoming interior. Second, the menu is just drool worthy. How do you decide?! There are so many Italian delicacies. The woman at the register was welcoming and assisted me with my questions. I ordered the Muffaletta Sandwich and with that, got a discount on a cup of Minestrone Soup for only $1.99. The sandwich had a healthy amount of meat and a great olive tapenade. The bread was a lot - and made it hard to eat, but it was delicious so it was hard to be mad about this. The sandwich came with the choice of pita chips and spinach dip or pasta salad. I got the pasta salad. I would have loved 2-3x the amount of cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and greens in the pasta salad and a heavier hand with seasoning. It mostly was bland noodles. The soup was fresh, hearty, and delicious. For a total of about $15, I ended up getting two meals out of this which felt like a pretty good deal to me.
