The vibe is really cool - brick facade, music not too loud, high ceilings - good for both work and casual dine in. The coffee was really solid. Not too bitter or acidic. Smooth, hot, in the mugs that feel homey. The breakfast burrito was really really good. Flavorful, the pork was tender, the tortilla was crispy, the pickled red onions balanced it all out. Visited here while on a road trip in Idaho. First impressions of this place was the atmosphere is so cute and clean. I found out that they had an upstairs section that had a rooftop patio! It seems that they also have space upstairs to rent out their space for events. They also sell cute souvenir t-shirts and knickknacks some related to the restaurant and others were Idaho themed. The staff here are very friendly, you order your food at the counter and then they will deliver it to your table after giving you a table number. I saw on their summer specials that they had a coffee flight. I ordered that and tried four of their seasonal flavors: Limoncello (my favorite), Summer Bloom (this one was lavender, rosemary flavored), Blueberry and Basil, and Honey Bee. All of the coffees were phenomenal! I had their smoked trout benny, super good. I highly recommend trying that if you are there for breakfast. Everyone at my table loved their food. Talk about a shocker. YBC was awesome. We were heading out of Twin Falls after our very brief stay (we were decompressing from many days in Grand Teton & Yellowstone) in town. We looked up breakfast places and Yelp sent us to a place that we immediately got back in the car and left from. Yeah, that was a HARD NO. We shook the Magic 8-ball of Yelp and asked it to try again. It led us to YBC, which happened to be like 3 doors down from Koto Brewing where had we eaten dinner. The breakfast/brunch-ish items we ordered were delicious. The staff were awesome. They really made you feel like you were at home. The man in front of us even let us go in front of him. That was nice. "She's being fussy and we'll take forever to order" he said talking about his baby. We ordered and his daughter blew us kisses while we were standing there. Friendly baby. All of the sudden the friendly baby decided that she had to be held by the woman who had just taken our order. We were thinking this is the friendliest baby ever. The baby was very aggressively trying to get held by this poor lady just trying to do her job. The lady takes her and the baby instantly calms down. Both of them face us and for the first time we notice the baby looks exactly like the lady. HAHAHA It was her mom! No wonder the baby wouldn't take no for answer! That was funny. We had a great breakfast and knowing it was a place where a baby could come see her mommy and eat her eggs was nice. It made it feel more home-y. read more

Today was my first time eating at Yellow Brick Cafe (YBC). The staff were very friendly and the menu is huge! There are so many food and drink options that I had to take some time to really read and ask questions before I decided what I wanted. I was able to talk with the chef/cook, who is visibly adjacent to where you place your order and he kindly obliged while he was still cooking. Though I have lived in Twin Falls for years, what really attracted me to go there was the rooftop patio. It is absolutely beautiful~ a great spot to enjoy the outdoor air and sunshine (with canopy shade for comfort and aesthetics). The brick mixed with the wood give it a unique and attractive-look. I initially saw their post on Instagram where they showcased the space and I immediately knew I had to check it out for myself. I was actually the only person to sit there and it was relatively peaceful, aside from some loud vehicles passing by. There is cold water with plastic cups readily available and I also noticed a bbq grill and a high chair for little babies. It also looks like there is a small banquet room next to the upstairs patio seating, perhaps for parties or brunch. I am not exactly sure. Before I went upstairs, I ended up ordering the Garden Patch Bowl priced at $16 (as shown in the picture) and an iced Chai Tea Latte with Oat Milk priced around $6-7 (also, my first time ever trying oat milk). I was quite impressed with the Garden Patch Bowl ~ from the colorful foods to the flavors to the combination of textures. I would 10/10 recommend it to people who enjoy any or all of the following: marinated tofu, roasted (seemingly local) carrots, multi-colored quinoa, baby bok choy, sprouts, avocado, and pickled ginger. I would definitely eat it again! The iced Chai Tea Latte with Oat Milk was so yummy and refreshing while sitting on the rooftop patio. I was so full after eating and drinking ~ everything about my meal & drink were so satisfying. They were so nutritious and so delicious! The interior/indoor seating was cool for the summer, very spacious and clean. To ensure a cool space, there are kind reminders to close the doors behind you. The ambience has a rustic, almost cabin-esque feel, which is both inviting and welcoming. I loved seeing the Idaho souvenirs/shirts they had for sale and right above some couches~ it made the space feel very comfortable and not overwhelming. There is guest wifi available for use, which is slower than using mobile data however still a bonus for those looking for a mellow area to work or study. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at YBC and will definitely go there again to try other things from their menu. At this moment, I only took a couple pictures but next time I go, I will definitely take more and share here. For those who are unsure about checking this place out, let me tell you just go! I only wished I had gone there sooner, so that I can tell y'all more about the menu items. We went here with friends a couple of months ago for brunch. Initially I was impressed with the atmosphere of the cafe and the staff. They were quick to help us find a table and gave us a good overview of the menu. We ordered some drinks to start. 2, 12oz lattes, a golden latte and a 16oz latte. I am a barista by trade and immediately noticed a potential problem when our drinks arrived. The choice of cups to differentiate between the 12 and 16 oz latte (to stay orders) look different (12oz is short and wide, the 16oz taller and narrow) but appear to be nearly equal in volume. I have made thousands of lattes and recognized the potential error immediately and told my friend we should discuss this with management. We brought the drinks to the front and explained our concern to the staff and manager/owner was brought over to address them. I showed her after filling my cup with water and pouring into my friends cup that they appeared to hold the same volume to which she said "oh, well that's what we use and have always used." No refund or mother efforts to mitigate or investigate our concern were offered. 1 month later we went back to see what had happened and indeed nothing had. Same ownership/management using different appearing cups to upcharge customers for a 16oz latte that certainly appears to be a 12oz. Unfortunate in my opinion the route management took to dismiss our concerns as otherwise the food and atmosphere were great. I can't in good faith recommend this place until they confirm the volumes of the glasses they are using and to this point management has not performed these measures. read more

We went here for lunch today and it was great! We ordered the pesto grilled cheese with a side salad and the polenta, purple cauliflower and quinoa bowl. The grill cheese was very rich but delicious. The side salad was very tasty and I loved the light dressing. The purple cauliflower bowl was incredible. The roasted carrots and cauliflower were delicious. The pickled grapes were very interesting in a good way. The diced polenta had a great crunchy upside and smooth inside. It was healthy, hearty, and well balanced in terms of seasoning and textures. The roasted tomatoes and basil oil elevated it. We came in for a Sunday breakfast and had quite the morning. They were supposed to open at 9, but do to a fire upstairs had to clean, they said 30 minutes but that turned into over an hour. Since we were from out of town and not much else was available and we really wanted to try here we waited. We then didn't realize you ordered at the counter so we stayed at the table and when we saw everyone line up we realized our mistake. So finally a little over 2 hours later we got our food. Very thankful they have so many gluten free choices so my wife could indulge. I truly loved my orange mocha, one of the tastiest coffee treats I've ever had. We've been here a few times in hopes of liking it today was our third and last time. We really didn't even want to come here to begin with but their aren't many breakfast options open Sunday and the food ones have lines. So we ended up coming here and being disappointed once more. This place is just kinda a scam. They try and appear gourmet, healthy food but they have bad service and poor quality control on their food (see picture). They don't season the food with basics like salt and if they do it's weird like the chilaquiles tasted like Indian food because of the spices they use but not salt. So the food is bland all they have is a decent presentation sometimes. The prices went up since 3 month ago but the service and quality have stagnated and the food seems to have gotten worse quality wise. I don't like that when you pay they already ask for a min 15% tip to 25% when you haven't even tried the food of had an interaction with a server. Today we had Chilaquiles and a eggs and hash. The meats were sketch one piece looked different from the rest and smelled funky and my husband paid $12 for a bowl with bland whole black beans, chips, and two eggs. There's a taco truck in town that serves up much better Chilaquiles than these for the same price. One word to describe this place "Pretentious" it's a rip off imo. You can see it on the menu everything is "confit" meaning it's cooked in its own fat, however potatoes don't have fat so how can the day that they have "potatoes confit"? It's like just marketing words that they use as an excuse to charge more and pretend they're gourmet. The piece of avocado they put on top the Chilaquiles half the slice was brown. I had to flag down a server and pointed out that half the avocado slice was brown and unappetizing to eat and she argued with me as if I didn't know a bad avocado when I see one :( I grew up eating them because we had a tree in my childhood home). I really feel it looks bad to argue with customers about something so simple that she was going to replace anyway. Why give me a hard time and argue with me when it's obvious I'm not wrong? Anyways next time if all the good restaurants are busy on a Sunday I'd rather cook at home than risk it eating at yellow brick and getting ripped off by cocky servers and bland food that's overly pretentious. read more

Paired this with a nitro cold brew (didn't seem like a true nitro) and the avocado tomato toast. All this and I didn't feel lethargic at all. None the less, the perfect late Thursday breakfast. There menu has plenty to choose from, my opinion? YBC is breaking boundaries and is the beginning of something new in the culinary scene here at twin falls. I think one of the greatest things I was able to witness was Chef Fitzgerald on the floor, taking care of business and mentoring her employees.
