I read the other reviews and was worried to be honest. We rented three scooters from Yellow Scooters for 10 days at Disney World. We were staying at the Contemporary resort which also rents "Buena Vista" scooters, a more expensive alternative. We could not be more happy with the service we received and the scooters. The scooters themselves were a bit worn but that's to be expected. I wasn't renting them for beauty but for functionality. They worked flawlessly for our entire trip, all three of them. We were at the parks from open to close for 8 of those ten days and not once did the scooters die. We did make a mistake in charging one of the scooters, plugging it into a wall plug that was used with a light and therefore connected to a switch. The switch needed to be turned on to work so when we shut the lights off, the scooter didn't charge. But since it still had half a charge on it we took it out with the charger. We were at Epcot and were able to find plugs in the Land exhibit to charge the scooter. Problem solved. Other than than that, they were perfect. Customer service was great with pick up and drop off at the resort easy as pie. I would rent from them again in a minute. read more

I would strongly caution anyone considering Yellow Scooter Company, especially if you need specialized mobility equipment. I specifically chose this company because they advertised an attendant controlled motorized wheelchair, which was exactly what my elderly mother needed for our Disney vacation. On the day we were arriving, I received an email informing me that the wheelchair had been returned broken and that they would instead provide a standard manual wheelchair. Had I known they only had one attendant controlled wheelchair in advance, I would have rented from another company. The motorized attendant-controlled wheelchair was the entire reason I selected Yellow Scooter. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. The manual wheelchair they delivered was in poor condition, flimsy and poorly maintained. The cup holder was nothing more than a slip-on accessory that constantly slid up and down the armrest. When my mother sat down and used the armrest for support, the cup holder shifted. Yellow Scooter charged us $12 for the cup holder. To make matters worse, their representative stated that the wheelchair was rated for 350 pounds. My mother weighs less than 200 pounds, yet the left side of the wheelchair seat continuously rubbed against the wheel for the entire trip. It caused friction while pushing and an annoying sound. The chair felt unstable, cheaply made, and completely unsuitable for 4 day vacation requiring extensive mobility assistance. Day 1 we called to report the condition of the wheelchair and requested a replacement, Yellow Scooter was unable to accommodate us except during a few specific time slots that did not work with our schedule. Our vacation had been planned months in advance, with park reservations, dining reservations, and transportation already arranged. Their inability to provide reasonable replacement options left us stuck with defective equipment for the duration of our trip. The rental process itself was also misleading. Their website asks you to select a preferred delivery and pick up timeand whether you would like to meet the delivery person or simply have the equipment left for you. In reality, we were told the equipment could not simply be left, making that option meaningless. The website also gives the impression that you can choose your time, but only in the fine print does it state that deliveries are limited to certain hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The site does not restrict times within this window. What should have been a reliable mobility solution became a source of frustration from the moment we arrived. Between the last minute equipment substitution, the poor-quality wheelchair, the inability to provide a replacement, the charge for a flimsy cup holder, purchasing accidental damage insurance for a chair we did not get and the confusing delivery policies, this was an extremely disappointing experience. If you need dependable mobility equipment and responsive customer service, I recommend looking elsewhere. Save your money and rent from a company that properly maintains its equipment and delivers the service it promises. read more

Spoke to the supervisor today she's going to be doing nothing about it so please be careful if you see this box truck driving on the roads the young man cares nothing about anybody. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! If I could give this company negative stars I would. I rented this scooter today to go to Universal studios With my family. I didn't even make it through the gates and the diagnostic light started blinking the scooter stopped working. I called to let them know that and they said that I had to drive the scooter back and they would swap me out for another one. When picking it up there were mechanical issues and asked to swap after I addressed the issues I was assured it would work just fine. After getting to the park I realized the are rest completely was falling out of the place that holds it and doesn't lock in place. I would recommend choosing another rental place. read more

i rented one of their attendant guides electric chairs for a week in walt disney world. when it was delivered it looked like it had been not getting the proper upkeep but was assured it was in fine shape. form our resort to epcot and 100 yds in it started beeping and showing low batteries. called the company and was asked if it was in neutral... i was aware of where the neutral switches were and repeatedly said no, had to pusf the very heavy chair laa the way back to the hotel in 99 degree humidity. also the bar that they installed looked nothing like the picture and was so worn that it kept slipping down making it even more difficult to push. never again! steer clear. read more

The scooter I received look like it had been in a street fight broken parts, loose connections, etc. They miscommunicated with me multiple times about availability and delivery status. They're online website sucks not user-friendly at all. I booked a scooter online. The website said sorry unavailable, so I moved onto another Scooter company only find out the next morning they delivered it without telling me. the person answering the phones seems like she is overworked or just doesn't care. We had nothing but a good experience with Yellow Scooters. I found myself with a broken foot just before a trip to Disney. I tried to tough it out on Day 1, but couldn't. On a whim I ordered a knee walker over dinner. I asked for it to be delivered to my Disney hotel the next morning. Honestly, I had no expectations that they could get it to me so fast, but they did! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM THEY ARE A SCAM! I rented for them on my parents behalf, we came down to Orlando and my father developed cellulitis on both legs, was admitted to the hospital here and released. Doctors said in order for him to go to the Disney parks (him and my mother missed the other 2 days because of the illness) for the last day he would need a wheelchair as he could not walk on the legs until the cellulitis has healed. My mother has 2 fractured disks In her back and uses a cane at home. We rented 2 scooters and my parents were excited to get to at least salvage what's left of their vacation WRONG! We arrived at the park and not more then 10 minutes my fathers scooter died, then 10 minutes later my mothers did as well. Customer service was rude on the phone In helping us. They refused to come and replace it at the park but said wed have to bring it to them to swap out and "good luck getting your refund". Some business! My husband pulled a muscle in his back lugging both scooters through the park and back to the car, leaving me alone with 2 disabled parents and 3 babies. then we then had to Rent 2 more scooters at the park anyway. Waste of time and money. They only have a refund for one after immense hassle and attitude. We are so upset and disappointed please just rent the scooters at the park! dO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We rented 2 scooters to go to Sea World and the next day Universal Studios. They delivered one to us and we had to wait an hour for the other one that had been forgotten. We were not offered a discount on the second day even though online it should it would have been less than half the price the next day. We then rented them again for a total of 5 hours and once again paid full price. I felt we should have been offered a promo or discount somewhere if even on a future order. I am giving them 5 stars anyway because Christine and Ray were awesome. And in the end we had a good time, despite paying $360 for 3 days!!! read more

This company used to be very good. I'm a mature older gentleman that 6 foot 1 and 280 lbs When ordering over the phone I asked about the bigger chair they rent out. The woman asked me " what are you pregnant " I should of seen it coming but went with the rental. Upon drop of at Disney A&A my wife and son picked up delivery and we're told charge cord pulls out in back of scooter but be careful because it could get caught around wheel when retracting. I ended up buying an extension cord fearing the worst. Scooter looked like it went thru a lot of abuse and seemed very old. Seat was very uncomfor table. Ran out of power twice at parks after a full night charge, i only travel about 6 miles top each day if that yet these scooters give you 35 miles, LOL. Scooter registered full charge in morning. Also I called and complained at 4 pm company says open until 6pm. was called back following morning at 9 am but was in park with a scheduled day with grandchildren and couldnt make a 10 am exchange. Others I talked with that had scooters at resort were very happy with there shiny new comfortable rentals from various rental places. Many were bigger people like myself. I DO NOT recommend Yellow Scooters Orlando. My travel partner rented a scooter from them to use in the theme parks. Halfway into the first day, the battery was already dead. After calling customer service, the representative was EXTREMELY rude and told us that we needed to push the scooter to the front of the park. She also told us that if they sent someone out to look at the scooter and if they found nothing wrong, that they would charge us. After trying to fix the scooter, we found out that the connection to the battery was bad. The battery kept going from green to red within seconds of turning it on. We had to turn it off and on throughout the entire day just to get it through the parks. Yellow Scooters Orlando would not take any responsibility for their scooter and refused to replace it. My mom had a reservation with Yellow Scooters for an upcoming trip to Disney because it was a few bucks cheaper than another option, but has had such a bad experience that we cancelled it and are now fighting for the $25 "deposit" back. Someone attempted to charge more than $1200 to my mom's credit card after she made the reservation, which was caught by her credit card company as potentially fraudulent. Yellow Scooters says it was their "biller" that originated the charge and suggested it could be for another customer who has a similar account number. But when pushed for more of an explanation, they have failed to return phone calls and hung up on my mom when she called to follow up. I will admit no firsthand experience with the company or this transaction, but wanted to share since it felt like something constructive could come out of my mom's frustration... read more

My husband has an Amigo Scooter and we think the battery may be giving out. This company was recommended by the seller of the scooter. Last week I called twice. I ask about an appointment but they do not do appointments. He told me to bring it down anytime and also told me the hours. So today we drove the one plus hour trip with the scooter loaded. Upon arrival my husband had to go to the far end of the building as there is no ramp for scooters in front of the store, odd! Once inside the lady said no one was there to service it. We could leave it and they would rent us a wheelchair. That would not work from his sixth floor assisted living room to dining and other activities. Rented the scooter for one day in Disney Hollywood. After 90 minutes of run time it died. Called company and they said they would send a truck out but I'd have to meet them at the front gate. They changed out both battery packs and we were off again. Same thing happened to the new (supposedly charged battery) packs with an hour. We had to keep searching around the park for power outlets the rest of the day to keep plugging the stupid thing in to recharge. We got through the day, but it was a real PITA. The problem appears to be that Yellow Scooters is not replacing their batteries at regular intervals. A battery pack only has a finite number of charge cycles before it fails to hold a charge. Overall, not a good experience. Look at reviews and choose another scooter company. read more

Worse scooter rental ever. For a WDW delivery/pick up, they require it to be in person. Had to wait over 1 hour for the driver to arrive for pick up. The battery wouldn't hold a charge and required me to spend time finding power instead of enjoying myself. I called for support and was told it was my problem (3rd call, first 2 went unanswered). The gauge on the device was totally inaccurate. It would show fully charged but the ECV would move without charging for an hour. I went with them because of price, but never again. I had requested they drop it off at night because my party wanted to be there early in the am. I was trying to call a few times to leave a message and John called me back. Believe the bad reviews. I didn't because I needed a sun shade for a power chair. They waited until 45 minutes before I arrived at my resort before telling me they did not have what I paid for. Mind you they take payment in full when you book. Then they told me I still had to pay $65.00 for one days rental. They are refusing to give me all of my money back. Searched on line for a scooter company near Disneyworld. Knowing better I should have done more research but anyway.. I found this company and tried to call their toll free number. It didn't work from my calling area (per recording - I'm in Hawaii). There is no other local number to call. Anyway... I make the reservation on line and it says meet/greet option for Disney resorts FREE. Then on the page it says to pay so I decline it as I don't care to meet anybody I just want the scooter dropped off for me and picked up when I'm done. I put in the pick up times and return times as well as my credit card. I get a confirmation and all looks good. Until this morning. Not even 12 hrs later I get a call on my recorder saying to call them. I call back numerous times and their phone isn't working. It says something about pressing a code. So now I'm getting worried about what kind of company this is. Finally after about 15 min of getting errors I get a person. That person says that they couldn't use the times I wanted because it's not within their hours.I would also have to meet their agent as it's a mandatory meet/greet for Disney Properties. Well times wouldn't work out because I didn't know that they only had certain time slots available. Then when we thought we could make it work they wanted to charge me another day rental because they couldn't meet me at 730am and would have to meet me at 8am. So I argued that I have to pay an extra day because they couldn't fit me into their time slot. That didn't seem right but she said it's only $10. I felt that $10 is $10 it's the principle. So I wanted to cancel it but to cancel it there is a $25 cancellation fee. I told her it was just booked not more than 12 hours ago for a reservation for November. but it seems that doesn't matter. Agent I spoke with was rude and said she will cancel it. I tried to tell her not yet as I wanted to talk to my bank but she hung up on me and now I see the cancellation and the $25 charge. I don't feel it's right that I get charged a cancellation fee when it's because their times didn't work. It's not like I could see what times were available when I booked it. I also feel that if something is done within 24 hours there should be a way to just cancel and void the charges. I know the airlines will allow it should you make a mistake as long as it's caught within 24 hours but not this company.. They are to money hungry. Stay away from this company. There are many others out there. I talked to someone at Big Orange Mobility and she was very helpful and friendly. Cost is a little more but I'd rather go with a company that answers their phones in case there is problems. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered 2 scooters for 7 days. When I went to pick them up the guy said he'd been waiting for and hour. Actually I was 15 min early. Didn't give any info on scooter. First day we're at MK and it dies in line after only 2 hours. I pushed it in line until it wouldn't move any more on manual. Had to leave it in line. A sweet Cast Member finally got in behind stage & charged it while we where in line & the ride. It worked till we got to the bus then died on the bus ramp. Had to push it to the room. Called, no answer no returned call. Charged it all night, next day it wouldn't turn on. Called, no answer no returned call.. So my mother stayed in the room. 3 rd day went to AK. It kept dying. Had to get it charged at Kilamonjari Safari just to get in on the bus to resort. Called, no answer. Charged all night. 4th day won't turn on. Called , no answer. My mother was too tired from having to walk the day before because of scooter. So she stayed in. 5th day went to HS and once again it kept dying. Had to find places to keep changing it. Spent most of the day charging it instead of enjoying our vacation. You guessed it, no answer and no call back. I would not recommend this to my worse enemy. Day 1 of 6 day rental and scooter didn't work with full battery! Called and left message, never received return phone call. Scooter was very old, would not disassemble as promised. "Jessica" said they would not offer me ANY refund as I did not call MULTIPLE times to complain about the scooter--yet they never returned my first call! Bad product and HORRIBLE customer service!! Scooter would only work for a few hours each day, and forget about taking the ramp up to a monorail without pushing it from behind--on a full battery! Wished I could give 0 stars! Love this! You admitted you only made one attempt, and that it was a failed attempt because I never received a missed call, a text or email. And you gave up. Horrible! Scooter kept running out of battery power after two hours of normal use. Had to keep recharging it. Called the company and the woman basically told me I was wrong because it gets 21 miles to a charge. Scooter died while we were at Disney World and I told them to come pick it up inside Epcot! They told me if I walked off and left it, I would be billed even though I purchased the protection plan. I am now waiting for them to bring newer batteries. First off, I have to say they were very quick to deliver a scooter to Shades of Green resort at Disney. I ordered it at 8:30AM, I got a message at 9:30 that it was waiting for me. I picked it up at 11:00, sure enough it was ready to roll. I have to say it was not the best looking scooter in the row (got several comments about it's appearance throughout my rental), it was shabby and basket hooks were broken but it was charged and ready to go. I did have a problem on the third day, it started bucking and then died 3 hrs into the day despite a full charge the night before. I called customer service, they were very friendly, said they would contact the local office and would bring me a replacement. I was a bit concerned as I had rented it due to hand and knee injuries so wasn't sure how that could be accomplished, I was deep into Animal Kingdom and could not push it to the front of the park if they needed me to. While I was waiting for the return call, I discovered a reset button above the foot plate, low and behold, I pushed it, the scooter started right up and had no more issues. In the end all worked out but I still wonder if it would be so if I hadn't solved the problem myself. Just wanted to say this past August my family all met in Orlando My daughter in law is seven months pregnant we were going to take everyone to Disney. And a number of other places. We were concerned about how much walking she would have to do already having to deL with a two year old. We looked into Disney rental scooters but they are first come first serve and at a good price and no good for the other places we wanted to go. I called the company and Gary was very helpful. For a little more then the cost of Disney I rented her a scooter for five days they delivered it to where I was staying and picked it up after. Door to door service. It's small enough to to come apart and go in the trunk and enough battery power to last a long day. I would highly recommend the company and would use again. read more

Had to push scooter to front gate for a replacement. Took over 3 hours to do this. Got the "new" scooter and it wouldn't go when we got to a different park. Their rep said I would get a refund and to call them the next day. I did and left several messages which were not returned. Our scooter got delivered as asked to our hotel, the delivery guy was very nice, explained how to use it, and said his number was on the back of the card if we needed anything. We were excited to have a bright yellow scooter - yay, something we could find in the parks!! It was our first day, we were at EPCOT. It had been acting a little weird all day, on semi-rare occasions wouldn't start up. Well of course, at the very end of the day, after IllumiNations when we're at the very BACK of the park, the thing died on us! Wouldn't start at all. The light wouldn't go on, no lights went on, nothing. I tried everything - fiddled with the batteries, reattached all the wires, tried to "reset" the thing, but it was dead. So I attempted to call the number the deliver guy showed us. Got a voicemail, so I left a message. Then I got on the website and called the company number, again voicemail, no answer. There was a link on their website for an online chat - attempted that, and no response. I tried to get ahold of someone for at LEAST half an hour, with no response or reply whatsoever. We had 3 kids with us, one that was only 2 months old, so we needed to go. I ended up having to push the scooter to the very front of EPCOT, and then out to the parking lot! I was NOT happy. I called the company the next morning, and told them we would like them to come pick up the scooter and would expect a refund. The owner argued on the phone with me for at least 45 minutes, talking in circles, saying it wasn't his fault, if I had waited a little longer they wouldn't responded, and they weren't going to do anything about it! I could not believe how rude he was, actually yelling at me telling me it was my fault!! I finally threatened to sue him for our money back - I have a cousin who is a lawyer and would be glad to help me out. He finally relented, said they would come pick up the scooter and give me a refund. I told him I expected an email saying exactly that from him, which again he argued about. I finally got my email - and my refund! My aging mother would rather walk than rent from them again, and I'd rather push her in a wheelchair than try a yellow scooter again! First I rented a power chair and it was late on delivery and since I had reservations to meet I had to rent another chair after already renting this one . Day two I used the chair for 3 or 4 hrs and it started beeping and not doing anything else, I thought the battery had died so I plugged it in an outlet to charge for an hr or more but when I returned it was still only beeping and would not move . I called the company several times and only got voice mail so I left a message and went to guest services at universal and they called yellow scooters as well agin no answer. They called me later the following day and were semi rude but sent someone out to the park to pick it up , they tried to call me but I did not hear my phone in the park ( it's quite loud there ) I returned their call as soon as I seen they had called and she was very rude with me than we texted back and forth and she was still very rude . I assume they got the chair because I have heard nothing else from them and I already know with the attitude I received I can forget about my $140 I spent for 3 days use and only got 3 or 4 hrs of use . Don't waste your money with this place I only rented because Universal has a first come first serve policy and I was afraid I would not get one , but I assure you they have plenty and the prices are not to bad . read more

Buyer beware! Our scooter broke down within the first FIVE MINUTES of our only day in the Magic Kingdom. When I called the company, the girl just told me to " jiggle the battery and it would be fine. " Thus ensued a long, hot (100 degree) day of literally my DISABLED VETERAN 60+ year old HUSBAND and I alternating between pushing and dragging the scooter through the park for hours to get back to our car, and calling YELLOW SCOOTER RENTALS, who chose to either not answer the phone, or hung up on us. We wasted an entire day's admission to Disney and, as of today, two weeks later, no sign of a partial or full refund for our broken scooter day. We are still calling daily to try to work it out and being given the runaround by either Jackie or the young girl who answers the phone . My husband LOST HIS LEG IN SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY and is still in agonizing pain from that horrible day at Disney two weeks ago from having to lug around that awful, broken down scooter. I made sure to tell everyone we passed on the way out of the Magic Kingdom, while dragging this useless scooter for HOURS, that it was a BROKEN, FULLY CHARGED PIECE of junk from YELLOW SCOOTERS. This negative advertising should speak for itself. No wonder we didn't see anyone else who was stupid enough to rent from this place. Some of these reviews for Yellow Scooters, especially on Yelp, are clearly fabricated. Potential customers - please read and choose carefully, and don't let the cheap price sway you. The amount of money we and others lost from our wasted day of Disney vacation is NOT WORTH IT!! Two weeks out now and each daily phone call only results in our call being shuffled around, or ignored. No apologies from these crooks. Refund looks bleak. Forget this place.
