AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! Non-responsive, requires large down payments to even start work and then radio silence once they have their money and pick up the equipment. James does not reply to e-mails unless notifying them of potential legal action. They've had my $10,000 marine generator for over 6-months, and I've heard every excuse in the book. I've worked with James who is non-responsive and cops and attitude when challenging them about my repair update. They picked up my generator in June of 2021, charged me $2,900 (corrected from $4500) and I have not seen either since. They've missed four completion dates over the period of two months and to this day no idea when it will be returned. HORRIBLE customer service. Wish Yelp had an "Avoid" star :-) Please do not use YTM - they do not deserve to be in business. Now have the BBB involved and will be taking legal action very soon. read more

The whole process started off bad. James was 2 hours late to my first appointment on a Friday. He too my carbs home to clean them because he thought that's what was wrong with my motor. Said he would bring them back the next day to reinstall them. Told me Saturday morning they are more dirty than he thought so he would bring them Sunday. Sunday came around and he was MIA never got a txt back. We had a new appointment for the following Friday and he would let me know the time later on in the week. I had to txt him Thursday asking what time and he said he forgot about it but then "made room" in his schedule for me anyways from 10-11 Friday morning. I never heard from him until after I txted him at 1040 and he said he was running late and would be here at 1 and then I never heard from him again all day until about 8pm. I tried calling 3 times and txting him and he just said I'll see you tomorrow at 10-11. So I responded with okay see you at 10. He then started txting me at 1045pm Friday night saying if you pay me now I'll be there before 10 AFTER he bailed on 3 different days now and never txted me. He then continued to txt me at 1AM Friday night saying all of a sudden he had to work on the carbs an extra hour after he quoted me my total price a week before when they should have been done originally. He stated I needed to pay him before work started. He finally showed up 3 hours late Saturday and installed the carbs. Then sat out front of my house demanding I pay him more. So I went out to his car with my parents behind me telling him to leave our house after I paid him the written agreement we agreed on in the first place. He then left and then was blowing my phone up all day leaving voicemails saying he will stay out front of my house as long as he wants and beat my ass until I pay him for an extra hour of work I was never informed about until the last second at 1am after they should have been done a week prior. He started calling my mother a bitch and calling me a bitch countless times. Calling me a cunt and threatening to fight me in front of my house. I then took my boat to a lake to test it and my boat is running way worse than it was before I had to pull it onto the trailer with a bow line to even get it back home. I will never be using him again and he definitely doesn't deserve anymore customers to be going his way to scam them and threaten other people. I am so angry at myself for hiring this horrible company. I made the mistake of hiring them without checking Yelp. A friend had used them in the past. They are the absolute worst. First they missed our appointment time. Then they kept missing day after day. They finally showed up almost a week late. The neighbors complained because they had tools and junk strewn all over the street. When they finally told me the job was done I came home and saw that both the upper and lower deck of my swim platform was covered in oil. I tried for 30 minutes to scrub with hot water and soap. The stains will not come out. Now I have to hire a cleaning company to come out and try to clean this up. Worst of all they keep harassing us over $66. They are calling and texting nonstop. And the guy's wife is even calling and insulting us. In their text they are calling us "shitheads." When I told them that I want them to pay for the cleaning of the boat they texted "lol" and a laugh emoji 15 times in a row! I'm shocked that they think it is ok to turn over a boat to a customer in this condition. The reviews of this "company" (actually a couple guys in a beat up van) are absolutely correct. They texted us "Only shitheads leave Yelp reviews." I may not be a shithead, but I certainly am a fool to hire this company with all of these reviews out there. Don't make the mistake I made. I was looking for someone to do a quick fix on my boat. Ive had positive experiences on craigslist before, met wonderful mechanics through there but this time. Oh man, i sent them a text. They asked for a PAYMENT BEFORE HAND. I said no, who ever pays before the work is done? No one right. No one is that dumb. Well i said no thanks this is a scam, and she called cursing me out. She threatened me saying she was going to come to my house and beat up hahah. Im a cop, she just threatened a cop. Need some quick RV service on my toy hauler before a trip I was taking with it and didn't have time to shop. Found Yellow Truck Mobile online and decided to try them. They said they were able to come later in the afternoon but needed my credit card information upfront. I thought this was a little sketchy but figured it was for cancellation fee because they wanted $125 trip fee plus the labor. James made it out with his wife and kids in tow. Explained that I was having issue with brakes on the trailer. Here replaced some wires and said I was good to go. As I found out on my 120 mile trip, he was VERY wrong because the brakes did not work. It was a long treacherous drive using just the truck brakes to stop a 10,000 pound loaded trailer. I called them when I got back and told them they didn't fix the problem. They said they would come out again but I would have to pay an additional trip fee of $125 or buy their stupid membership at $500 for six months, which waives trip fee. If I needed service that often, I would get a new RV. That is completely ridiculous. I told them they should fix the problem I paid them to fix. I had no problem paying additional labor hours but not another trip fee. They refused and tried to sell the membership. I ended up taking it to the shop where they found that the work was wrong. In fact, not only did he not fix the issues, they said the work he did could have a caused an accident because it was so messed up. These fools are just starting this business and have no idea what they are doing from a customer service standpoint and obviously not with repairs either. I am very thrilled with my new big touch screen stereo, GPS and backup camera they installed. My life driving is much easier and seriously safer. With the built in GPS no need for phone anymore. I spent nearly $2,000 with James and really regret it. James is a good guy with a good heart, however, I don't think he should be doing what he is doing. He needs to know what his limits are. I asked him to work on a few projects that he agreed to do, however, he should have warned me up front that it was outside his area of expertise. The projects ended up taking (in my humble opinion) about 2-3x longer than it should have taken for an expert. I asked him up front how long it would take him and his reply was 'not long, maybe a couple hours'. Well, it literally took all day and then some. What should have been about $200 ended up costing me $1,200+. I also caught his wife lying to me several times about the cost of parts. She quoted me for a part at about $280. I called the manufacturer and the part was $75. Yes, this was from the manufacturer (Ex: Winnebago), which is the most expensive price you could pay. She gave me some BS about the prices locally being higher. I understand if it is a true emergency and you are in the middle of nowhere. But....this was not an emergency and both James and his wife knew that. His wife was trying to capitalize on the fact that I am busy and I trust most people (I am from the midwest). Well, my gut told me not to trust her so I did a quick price check. Frankly, his wife is full of BS and cannot be trusted. She plays lots of immature tricks and games and also lied to me several other times. James, on the other hand, is genuinely a good guy. He just needs to know what his limits are. Yellow truck mobile is a big fat joke. James is not a mechanic he's a butcher. I failed to do my due diligence and check the reviews on this outfit. I paid the $350 deposit, He started the job never completed it never returned never answered my phone calls or my texts or emails. He screwed up the fuel filter change on a diesel pusher motorhome and it would not start due to his poor mechanical skills. In reading all of the reviews it's the same story. If you have done business with him I urge you to contact the state Department of consumer affairs bureau of automotive repair and file a complaint.He is not licensed registered or insured to work on motor vehicles in the state of California. I had to contact another mobile repair outfit to come out and complete the job and get back on the road he left me stranded for four days with Promises of returning every day and never did. read more

Oh James K. You failed to mention you never started work because you had no proof of liability insurance. We paid you in full and it took a year to get our money back due to the fact we had to file a claim with our bank. Then your paperwork was changed but you forgot we had the original copy. Then you tried to blame another company. I have it all documented about 17 pages I had and was sent to my bank. We got refunded thru the claim from the bank not a 3rd party credit card company. They baited us with a membership then convinced us our motorhome needed several different issues fixed but none of them worked. Too bad there isn't a 0 star option. Yellow truck repair isn't a yellow truck its an ld import wagon with buckets of tools. I had to loan them tools and teach them a thing or two. These people are shady, unqualified scam artists. Gave detailed description of work needed. I am qualified and able to do the work, just didn't want to deal with the hassle. They gave me an unrealistic estimate, too low, but I knew that and was prepared to pay for extra time. Paid their stupid up front fee, James shows up with a buddy and his kid. It took them longer than their estimated time for the whole job just to remove the old part as he had no clue. He then broke a part and couldn't figure out how to finish the job. James said he had the part at home and would replace it and do some research on how to finish the job. I asked if there was another service call fee, he said no. Then they wanted to charge me another $125 service call for the return trip even though they need to return with a replacement part. I refused and fired them from the job. Problem is, they had my wiring harness and broken air cleaner. Took weeks to get my parts dropped off, them playing games. Cindy said she the mailed it, I offered to cover the shipping, but it came back to them. Parts finally get returned, funny with no postage on the box. So they must have unpacked the parts, got another box, and taped it up with my parts. Fishy. Instead of replacing the part, the put a few drops of superglue on it which fell apart once I began handling the part. They tell lies lies lies. Unqualified unqualified unqualified!!! Stay away. Cindy is a real pice of work. Cant wait to see her try to spin yet another bad review. Glad they only stole $300 from me.
