Terrible experience! Secured a 4/16 transport the day before with $300. The transport never arrived, and I was never informed. On 4/19 I inquired about the delivery date and they said it would be pushed based on the Easter holiday (4/20), but not that they hadn't executed pickup. Multiple calls and texts the next 8 days went unanswered. I fired them 4/26 and was informed that their policy is that since I terminated the contract they get to keep the $300! Received the news that my son who is in the military that he will be getting deployed soon. I had to ship all of his personal belongings and car back home to California from South Dakota. I had already signed an agreement with another company but Lucas from Yellowfin kept insisting to give him a try and which I did. He did every possible thing he could do to get me the best quote and although he did I ended up paying more than the other company had quoted since I was so pleased with the service. Last minute the driver actually took the car to my job since I would have to leave the office just to meet him back at home. Both Lucas the agent and the driver game me excellent service. I would highly recommend them again. Also since my son is in the military and will be getting deployed, we were allowed to load up all the car just leaving the driver side available with all his belongings not just the 100 lbs that other companies offer in the trunk. I was the unfortunate victim of a classic "bait & switch," and I am writing this review to warn my fellow citizens - do not contract with Yellowfin Logistics, or with Marcus in particular. I had signed a contract with Marcus for a certain amount to ship my car from LA to NYC. I specifically asked for an increased weight limit for items in the car, and he assured me that it would be "no problem." A day before my car was supposed to be picked up for the cross-country move (and after I had purchased a plane ticket for the next day), Marcus called to say that his usual truck had a "problem," but he could book me with another carrier - if I paid $150 more. I frantically called around to see if there were other carriers leaving the next day for NYC, but of course none were available and/or were charging an arm and a leg. Then, when the truck Marcus ultimately booked arrived (after midnight), they required an additional $150 to load the car (a small SUV) because it was full, even though Marcus had assured me that he had increased the weight restriction. So all told I paid an additional $300 than what I had contracted for. My advice: cut out the broker (totally useless and a thief) and book directly with the transport company - Great Silk Road (Dmitry) 12674604171 ended up transporting my car and they were fine. read more

So full disclosure - I never actually got the vehicle transported with YellowFin because another company contractually baited me into signing with them and I couldn't exit without penalty. However, my review is of the excellent service and quality of YellowFin, and in particular, Emile. After getting shafted by another logistics company (Ultimate Transport 123 - do not work with them they operate in extreme bad faith), I reached out to Emile as I was getting a little desperate to move my car, and he was super on the ball. Within 1 day, he was able to identify a carrier, agree on a price, contact the carrier, and assure everything without me putting a cent down. For reference, UT123 had taken 1.5 weeks, cancelled 2 pickups without any timely notice, and hand-waived my complaints. Emile was a breath of fresh air genuinely. No arrogance, simple effort, communicative, and got the job done. Highly recommend this guy.
