Wild game chili is super! If you like guns , this is your place. Great ambiance and located right downtown Gardner!

Bison Burger & Fries - Juicy, flavorful, and honestly not too different from a classic beef burger (in the best way). Also serve with crispy fries on the side. Hunter's Pie - A hearty, comforting dish with slow-cooked pulled pork, tender veggies, and a savory gravy, all topped with creamy mashed potatoes. Served with warm, garlicky bread. First time trying it, and it was such a delicious surprise!

Honestly, there are not many food options, so we took a risk. The service we got was really good. The food we got was anything but good. All four of our dishes tasted like microwaved food with zero seasoning. I would not go back. (3 stars is extremely generous)

We wanted some local food on our way to Yellowstone Lake Lodge and this place caught our eye. Glad we stopped by. The decor was pretty cool, very old western with tons of old rifles from that time period. Lots of seating. I ordered the chicken fried dinner plate with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. My friend ordered the brisket with fries and he let me have some and it was also very tasty. I liked the sweet barbecue sauce they put on and the brisket was nicely prepared with a little burnt ends. The service was really good. Mike was so friendly. Prices were about right for the area.

Tried this place back in 2023 one night after a long day in Yellowstone, we were starving and the burgers were delicious but we thought it was just because how hungry we were. Two years later we wanted to try this restaurant again and so glad we did! Out of all the Bison burgers we had on our trip, theirs were the best! Juicy enough and full of flavor! My husband had one with 4 patties and bacon and was delicious! Service is good and place is awesome decorated!!! Would go again if I'm ever around the area!

I should had walked the other way when I saw Yelp manager TD's review. But I figure since we were dining in, we *should* have a better experience. And this was such a popular place, people were lining up out the door. Wrong! There's just nothing else good to eat near the Yellowstone entrance. I got the Hunter's pie which from reading the description is like Shepard's pie, but nope. Mashed potato, pulled pork, gravy, green beans, top with melted cheese. My poor friend and I both got this entree and we both regretted it. It was like frozen food swimming in a bowl of oil. The only saving grace was the garlic toast, and even then we can tell is from Pepperidge Farm's frozen section. Our other friend cannot even finish her tasteless ribs. The mac and cheese was also very depressing. It was a piece of half melted cheese on top of some macaroni. Isn't this America's most basic dish? They also ran out of ice so the soda we ordered was room temp. Luckily my husband ordered a country fried chicken salad and they did not mess that up. So just save yourself and go elsewhere. Go to Outlaw's Pizza up the road which we had a great experience.

Thursday dinner - yes! We walked from our lodge to this place to grab dinner before calling it a night. They had an artist outside performing and plenty of people lounging around as they waited to be seated or at the outside bar. It gives "Montana" vibes through and through with guns decorating the walls and quirky midwestern decor of "bounty reward" posters, pictures and whatnot. We waited about 25 min to be seated. We ordered the vegetarian burger, black bear, and dizzy buffalo. We really enjoyed them, and the fries were delicious. Overall, I'd come back again.

Next to stage for live music.

The biscuits were hearty, the gravy had good flavor, and the portion size was satisfying. No, it's not quite like sitting down in a country diner back home, but for Montana, it definitely hit the spot. The staff was friendly, service was prompt, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for a solid breakfast before heading into Yellowstone, the biscuits and gravy are worth a try.

Also - if you drink coffee - the espresso machine was broken. My husband wanted a biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage - they were out of biscuits. So I got him a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage instead. I ordered sausage links for my baby, I asked if they had any kind of fruit I could buy for my baby. They said no that they only had bananas for smoothies - which is odd being a place that sells fruit smoothies... For myself I ordered a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich and a mango madness smoothie). My mother in law wanted a lotus energy drink - but they were out of lotus syrup. A few minutes later the gal that rang us up came to our table and let us know they were out of sausage for breakfast sandwiches. Asked what we wanted instead. They still has sausage links, so that's what we had on our sandwiches. When our food was ready they brought everything over except the sausage for my baby - which they clearly forgot to make cause that was a long wait till it arrived (5 or more minutes). Putting food in front of a hungry baby and none of it is for him is not a good idea lol. My husband ended up giving him his sausage and wait to eat his sandwich till they brought more over. I also gave my baby some of my smoothie - the smoothie was good. So, out of several items, and forgot part of our order.... Just seemed a bit chaotic. Food and smoothie was good and the people who work there are nice.

There is a variety of artwork, from fun posters to beautiful nature photos along the walls. For the dinner service, we also appreciated the candlelight feel with instrumental pop music in the background. We stayed primarily in the dining area but also noticed that the restaurant appears to have a bar and maybe casino in the backroom? A huge plus is a souvenir shop featuring tons of Huckleberry products next door. Now on to the food! We were very impressed. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and I ordered the bison burger. The servers were all so friendly and kind and super helpful, recommending the bison to be cooked medium. The food portions were generous, the fries were crispy, and the bison burger was juicy with the right amount of tomato, lettuce, pickles, and melted Swiss cheese to make the flavors pop. Could you tell how much we loved the food? To top it all off, we ordered dessert and had the most delicious Huckleberry cobbler with Huckleberry ice cream. I asked the waitress if that was too much Huckleberry, and she said the ice cream was a hit -- it really made the dessert. Oddly, it was reminiscent of breakfast, but in the best way. The cobbler was warm, the Granola was crunchy, and the ice cream was cool and sweet. The medley of textures honestly made this the best dessert I've had this year. Hats off to the Yellowstone Mine staff and chefs for making the start of our trip so memorable!

The food was genuinely delicious. We enjoyed our meals, and the quality was definitely there. The ambience during our visit was fantastic too--catching the Argentina vs. England World Cup game on the big screens made for a fun afternoon dining experience. That was a huge plus and definitely added to the atmosphere. Just some thoughts.. Walking in was disorienting. The ordering counter is to the left, but there's a covered seating area with TVs and what looks like a bar on the right--except you can't order food or drinks there. It's unclear which side to go to, so we had to figure it out on the fly. No biggy just a bit confusing when it's super busy. Service wise, our order was placed at 1:45pm didn't arrive until 2:15 PM--over 30 minutes of wait time. A cold beer helped pass the time, but it's worth noting if you're on a schedule. The $22 burgers is a little much, especially coming from the LA food scene where you have endless options. Plus if you want to add cheese, bacon or anything else for that matter it's an up charge.I understand Gardiner is a small town with limited competition and seasonal tourism, but it does feel like pricing is banking on visitors. The bottom line, the Corral serves excellent food in a fun atmosphere, but the confusing flow and extended wait times keep it from being a standout experience. It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but manage your expectations on pricing and timing.
