Today I got to try dPlace, and I had such a great experience! As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere felt clean, modern, and welcoming. We ordered the salads, rosé pasta, and OC galbi, and everything was delicious. The galbi especially stood out, it was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Everything was also beautifully plated, which made the whole meal feel even more special. This is definitely a great place for a date, family dinner, or a small gathering. One of our servers, Jane, was especially friendly and sweet, and her service made our experience even better. The prices are on the higher side, but considering the quality of the food, atmosphere, and service, I think it's worth it for a nice meal or special occasion. I'll definitely be coming back, especially for that galbi! 5/5!

The Korean style OC Galbi is a MUST TRY! The meat is so tender and flavorful. It's a big portion, enough for 2-3 people. We like to get it with the ssam. We also got the rose pasta with shrimp and the mushroom cream pasta with salmon. Both are really good! Though I think the OC Galbi stole the show. Cocktails here are also really good. They're big cocktails, not like the bars that charge for mostly ice. Service is good and the restaurant is big, great for groups!

Come here regularly and they are consistently so good, great quality always! The service is always friendly and prompt and the manager Rueben I believe his name was , always attentive and checks in! We love the Galbi plate(Korean style), and miso pork belly plate, potato truffle jeon goes crazy 10/10 recommend and always get these three plates! Flavors are soo good so many good side dipping sauces, and we always add Ssam! Also kids menu is super fair priced, they loved the pasta with tomato sauce. Comes with a little juice box. Dessert wise the lava cake and churros is the only things I've tried so far both are good!!

Heard from a friend that this place was pretty bomb so decided to try it for my bday dinner with my fam *** ORDERED Fried Calamari $18 Loved the fried calamari! Very crunchy and a perfect mix with both mayo and the marinara sauce. They fry the entire squid together and so they provide scissors for you to cut it :)) Truffle Pasta w/grilled salmon $28 (Forgot to take a picture) Very VERY creamy and thick I will say, it's better to just finish it there at the restaurant because they use A LOT of butter OC Galbi Korean $62 Comes with some banchan (sides) and a bowl of rice. It's a sweet savory cut up cow but I'm not sure if it's well worth the pricing Pescatore $19 A fairly basic seafood red sauced spaghetti Shrimp Rosè pasta $18 Brother had ordered this and said it was a bit on the watery side. I couldn't really taste the rosè in the pasta *** VIBES It's actually fairly loud in the restaurant as there is music and it's a big place. But it is a Korean family friendly place with fancy cutlery *** PEOPLE We had a reservation and were seated fairly fast and on time :) efficient and friendly staff *** OVERAL I think I liked this place but I somewhat feel that there are better places for Asian fusion with better price ranges. Don't get me wrong tho: I do think trying it once is always a good idea

The food was exceptional here! They have one of the best calamari dishes I've ever had. We ordered the Mala rigatoni. The sauce was well balanced with just the right kick. The broccolini was topped with a delicious chili crisp. The short rib steak was cooked to perfection and each slice melted in our mouths. We are definitely coming back!

Been here plenty of times and have gotten ALMOST everything on the menu. Front of house staff are amazing from A to Z, but the back of house needs to do better QC. We got served multiple closed mussels and were told they come from a vendor who boils/steams them before they get delivered. Nevertheless, the risk of eating a mussel that's died prior to cooking is high enough for Vibrio contamination that it should be weeded out BEFORE serving to customers. One of the managers said it was safe, but my dad is immunocompromised so he skipped all the seafood we ordered. But that's quite literally the only issue we've had in the 5+ times we've visited. Highlights: OC Galbi Korean Truffle pasta w/ grilled salmon Pescatore pasta Rosé pasta La Carne pasta Fried calamari (you MUST order this every time) Jjamppong Lowlights: Skip all the risottos. Tried all 3 of them and they don't make them very well here. Also check your mussels!

First visiting this place and absolutely had a great experience here. Highly recommend to make a reservation because they can be very busy especially on the weekends. Jjamppong Pasta: the pasta is chewy and well seasoned. It is not overly spicy and it comes with a good amount of seafood. Definitely recommend this if you want a different kind of pasta. OC Galbi Korean: Absolutely loved this dish. Must order and try this! The galbi is cooked just right, tender and juicy. The seasoning is on point as well. The arugula salad is a great match to the galbi, add a bit of refreshing taste to it. FYI, you can ask for more arugula salad for additional costs. I hope they're able to keep this. This is a great place of to hang out with friends. Lots of drink offered. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is modern and cozy. One suggestion is that their ordering system definitely needs some improvement. It often lags or freezes. Also, maybe consider adding an alert system because it might be difficult to get a staff's attention. Overall, highly recommended. And I would definitely come back.

Food: We came here to celebrate one of my parents' birthdays. The food reminded me a bit of Kei Concepts restaurants, with stylish presentations and Korean-inspired influences, but with much bolder flavors. Honestly, almost every dish could dial the seasoning back just a notch and still be excellent. The Myungran (mentai) cream pasta was delicious, creamy, and rich, but wow, it was much spicier than I expected when I ordered the spicy version. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of if you're expecting a mild kick. The beef tartare was well presented and flavorful, while the OC Galbi was probably the star of the meal, tender and packed with flavor. The prosciutto grapefruit burrata salad was the only dish that didn't fully land for me. The grapefruit and dressing combination leaned a little too tangy and acidic, with what felt like slightly too much vinegar for my taste. Price: Pricing lands in the upscale-casual range. Pastas generally run about $18-25, appetizers are mostly $15-20, steaks range from roughly $35-55, and signature dishes like the OC Galbi are around $60-65. For a meal with appetizers, entrées, and drinks, expect around $40-80 ish per person depending on what you order. Considering the presentation, portions, and quality of ingredients, I thought the pricing was fair for a birthday dinner. Ambiance: The restaurant strikes a nice balance between trendy and comfortable. It feels elevated enough for birthdays, anniversaries, or date nights, but not so formal that you feel out of place. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and has that polished Korean-fusion dining vibe that encourages you to order several dishes to share. Service: Service was attentive and professional throughout our visit. Food arrived in a reasonable timeframe, staff was friendly, and the overall experience felt well coordinated, which is especially appreciated when dining for a special occasion. They also have cute server robots going around from time to time! Parking: Parking was relatively easy thanks to the plaza location and dedicated lot. Much less stressful than fighting for street parking elsewhere in Orange County.

The food here is amazing, the quality and flavors were truly as it showed on social media. From the Mala Rose Tteokbokki that was soft, chewy and full of creamy yet umami flavor to the tender galbi with banchan pairings such as kimchi and marinated bean sprout. It is a bit different, you order on a tablet that's at each table. We would prefer for their entree price points to have a full service experience as when we used the request for staff button on the tablet there was either a bit of a wait or they did not come. Service overall was eh. The food made up for it.

This place was so good we came back twice in one week. Came here on m birthday with a reservation and we were seated promptly. We tried the Korean style steak and the flavors were amazing. I especially love that the steak was pre cut so it made digging in right away super easy. When we came back the second time we got the American style steak and it honestly was not as good. We got the mala pasta and garlic pasta and both were good. The mala rose had a good spice to it and it was balanced well with the creamy rose. Would definitely recommend

    Catherine B.

Food used to be much better but has declined in quality and quantity. Yet, prices remain exorbitantly high for what you're getting. Their spicy rosé pasta no longer has veggies or rice cakes in it. The Korean galbi set has definitely declined in size and meat quality, and no longer comes with the banchan it used to. I think the dippin dots was $8, but they couldn't even take the time to put it in the bowl for me. Depending on who your server is, the service ranges from mediocre to nonexistent. This place had so much potential and the food was pretty good, but I just can't justify spending my time or money at an establishment that chases profits or attempts to cut costs completely on behalf of the patrons.

Ordered the tteokgalbi steak ($34). It was basically a thick hamburg steak (ground meat with onions inside) over a bed of mashed potatoes with sauce, topped with fried mushrooms, and served with a side of veggies. Ngl I thought I'd get thick cut steak, but this was good and juicy too! I'd prefer if the veggies were served hot like the meat. Restaurant was very clean, gives work appropriate vibes, but you can still dress casual. Waitress only comes when your food arrives or when you call for her on the table kiosk.

Very cool dimly lit old building with modern whiskey bar vibes. I loved the big bar in the dining room. Servers were quick and friendly. We started with the cajun shrimp and some jalapeño poppers. There was a ton of cajun sauce on the shrimp which was flavorful and decently spicy, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The jalapeño poppers were battered and fried like a cheaper restaurant would have. The cheese inside wasn't fully melted. Wouldn't get them again but they did the trick. We both got the top sirloin, hers was black and blue (stuffed with blue cheese and smothered in a burgundy blue cheese sauce), while mine was bare. These were some of the most tender sirloin steaks we've ever had. Mine might as well have been a filet mignon! Medium rare, perfectly pink from edge to edge, nice seasoned crust on the outside. Hers had tons of flavor from all the sauce and blue cheese. The veggies on the side were all good and cooked well. I got the housemade potato, broccoli, cheddar soup, and although it burned my tongue, it was very good. Definitely worth a trip and I'll be back for more steaks!

The High Horse Saloon is a western themed restaurant and bar in downtown Fullerton…read more Parking in downtown Fullerton can often be a challenge. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant which is often full. We usually park in the free multi-story parking garage just east of Harbor and Wilshire. It is a short one block walk to High Horse from there. As the name suggests, the décor is very western themed with lots of wood, cowboy hats and boots, wagon wheels, lassos, saddles, taxidermy, etc. Seating options include booths, high top tables, and at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm with food and drink specials. We started out with the pickle fries ($12) which were excellent. The pickle slice thickness to batter ratio was perfect, and they were served with a side of ranch. My first cocktail was The Smoking Gun (bacon washed Elijah Craig bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters, orange bitters, $18). It is smoked tableside and was a healthy pour. The bacon and maple flavor was very light, but it was very smooth. Her first cocktail was What Would Dolly Do? (Hornitos plata tequila, Los Sundays jalapeno tequila, Del Maguey peubla mezcal, simple syrup, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, $16). It was balanced with good jalapeno flavor and pineapple below with a light smokiness. For my entrée, I had the half slab of baby back rips ribs ($28) with coleslaw and fries. The plate arrived steaming hot and I was impressed with the portion of ribs. There were seven meaty ribs that were very flavorful and the BBQ sauce was good. The fries were crisp and seasoned, and the coleslaw was good too. She had the Up The Creek spice rubbed cedar-plank salmon ($26) with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The portion of salmon was good and it was flavorful. The asparagus was cooked well, but they were over salted. She also enjoyed the potatoes. My second cocktail was the Skinny Dipper (Tito's vodka, St. Germain, aloe vera water, watermelon, lime, $15). This drink was light and refreshing, with floral notes, and watermelon and lime standing out. It also had a great looking color. Her second cocktail was Ladies Love Outlaws (rose petal infused Ketel One vodka, St. Germain, simple syrup, grapefruit, lemon, rose wine, $16). This was also light with floral notes, and had good grapefruit flavor. It was very lively at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. We left a little after 8pm, and the place was packed as they have line dancing. There was a big crowd of at least twenty people dancing in front of the restaurant and having a great time. The service was good, and our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were great, and I think they were a pretty good value for the price.

We have been here a handful of times this year and have always enjoyed their food and service…read more Unfortunately, when we went this weekend the service was a total 180 from previous visits. We got there right when they opened and got seated at a booth. They had football running on all the tv's, except the large one above the back entrance was playing the Dodgers game. We were stoked! Within a few minutes the manager was pointing a remote up at the TV to switch to football. My husband politely went up and asked him if he could leave it on the Dodgers game. The manager just said "no." When my husband clarified if there was a way to keep it on the game, the manager again just said "no". This was a very rude way to answer someone just asking a question. He could have at least given a slight apology, or a quick explanation as to why he had to put all tvs on football, but he chose to just keep looking up at the TV and just say "no". We asked the waitress also and she said something like "we have to have all the tvs on football" or something. This was nuts considering there were a few other people in there,,and trust me, they weren't glued to one of the 5 tvs watching football. We were hoping they could just change one of the tvs by our booth. The food was great, as we love their wings and their fountain drinks. It wasn't a dealer breaker that we couldn't watch baseball, but it WAS a dealer breaker that we had such a rude interaction with the manager guy.
