Well... let me just say I had booked an appointment before and everything went well. The beauty bar is beautiful and the customer service was great. So why 3 stars? I recently booked an appointment online a few days ago for a consultation regarding a full sew in weave and the appointment was confirmed via email. Soooo I was waiting for my confirmed phone call and no one called me! Soooo I called today 12/12/2019 and the lady who picked up hung up on me?? No call back? I'm done. Please don't have a systematized scheduling system if you're not gonna use it. I was in search for a new stylist because I'm going on vacation and needed braids. I had such an amazing experience at Yes Hunni!! They are very organized; you can schedule your appointment online, with upfront pricing, and they even tell you how long the service will take. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and warmly welcomed, even though I was running a little late for my appointment. Everyone was so warm and accommodating, they even have complimentary refreshments. The salon is designed really well and has a great atmosphere. My stylist, Jamara, was professional, knowledgeable, and was overall really great. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted and did a consultation with her before we started. She worked within the time I was told the service would take and it turned out beautiful! I was really impressed with this salon and I would definitely come back. Slayed again by Nisha...i love love this place... I have to totally disagree with the other comments here. This is my second install and they have both been nothing less than amazing. My first install lasted 2 months and was still looked amazing but i wanted a more dramatic look for my birthday so I took it out. Her site clearly states it is not a full service salon so don't go there with those expectations. My first install Nisha supplied the hair for my Bob and it was phenomenal quality. Because of me booking a last minute appointment she was unable to bleach my knots but she made it look great. My second install I provided the hair and was able to bleach my own knots ahead of time. Now im picky when it comes to my installs. I love her installs because they are flat and not bumpy at all. Her shop is beautiful and she has the best prices in San Diego hands down. She does tension free installs so no 2 day headache or traction alopecia (Gurl we need them edges). She is so sweet and has amazing customer service. read more

I had never gotten a sew in before because I've seen too many unblended unflattering sew ins but I really wanted to try something new for the holiday season and after doing my research people seemed to rave about nisha and her work so I decided to try it for myself. The hype is well deserved. My hair turned out beautifully and I can't wait to book with her again. I got the Diva and my hair looks so natural, as soon as I left the salon I was given so many compliments. I had made a appointment for my mom to get braids done a week in advance and everything was set up. We called to confirm that the appointment was still on for this coming Wens and the person who answered said that the girl who was doing my moms hair would not be working/available. I'm glad she called in advance Because it would have been a complete waste of time for us to come the next day, to the girl not being there. I think this is unprofessional and highly disrespectful of a persons time. Had we not called I'm not sure if we would have been advised prior that the girl was not coming in or doing my mother's hair. It's unfortunate because the prices are good but the organization is horrible. You would think that instead of apologizing profusely a courtesy call to let the customer know would have been done. Where do I begin? This was the smartest idea ever! Opening up an extension bar in San Diego right near the Navy base! I love it! The decor was beautiful, and my hair looks beautiful! I really enjoyed the atmosphere while I was getting my hair done. It is very reasonably priced and that is hard to come by in San Diego. I came in at my appointment time, no wait and fast quality service. Everyone was very professional and I will be returning on Saturday to get my hair curled for a special occasion. Military friendly for those who need a nice bob for your uniform. I love the concept! I love the atmosphere in the salon and I love my hair. After finding this gem in San Diego I will not be going anywhere else. I highly recommend if you want to get your hair slayed to stop by and treat yourself. Hello I recently went to this weave bar and the environment was awesome, the owner is a sweetheart , and the idea of a weave express shop is excellent. The price is great but the work isn't good. I bought a closure and the owner never stated that the knots wasn't bleached and when she sewed the weave in it didn't lay flat and I have big spaces between tracks .My braids are bulky underneath and the closure looks fake . When she showed me my finished product I liked the cut but the closure was horrible. I asked her could she make it look more natural and she made it look worse by plucking way too much. I figured I could fix it when I got home but I couldn't . When I called to let her know she explained that the knots are not bleached and if I wanted it to look more natural I would have to let her know before which is crazy because I bought the closure from her during the time of service. If she would've showed me the closure I would have looked at it and left my own hair out. If the shop specializes in weaves than I expect to have a good weave. Again the customer service was great and the owner is sweet but long story short go to LA for weave services it's the same affordable prices with way better stylist. read more

BEWARE getting faux locs by Tierra! This place doesn't even deserve one star. Long story short, they didn't last a full two weeks. I made another appt to get them tightened and guess what? They STILL unraveled. I hate wasting my hard earned money! I had a terrible experience and wouldn't get my hair braided here ever again. Definitely wouldn't recommended this place. read more

I was super excited to find a place that was inexpensive and provided hair. My hair is only a few inches long so I assumed I would not be in the shop all day. I went in to get medium faux locks and was pleasantly surprised by not only how quick my hair was done, but how neat it was also. I got my hair done Saturday. By the next Tuesday I had several locks that were loose. I called and was able to get an appointment Thursday to tighten the loose locks. On Saturday not only had the ones that were tightened become loose but several others as well. My hair didn't even last two weeks!!!! I will not be returning. I cannot speak to the weaving services, but I do not encourage anyone to get their hair braided here. While I didn't like my service the atmosphere was very professional and Tierra was very courteous as well. read more

The idea of having a walk in hair salon for weaves is great but my experience was awful. Don't get me wrong the ladies were very sweet & the environment was clean & inviting but she did not know how to properly sew in a weave. It took less than 2 hrs which is great but the quality was very poor. My braids are huge & bulky, unprotected, and it looks like a 6th grader with a mushroom bob. And FYI they don't really style ur weave. More so of just an install & that's it....(which would be doable if the weave was installed nicely). Great idea. But too mediocre for me. And not worth $100 in my opinion :( read more

This has get to be the BEST hair service I've had in my 2 1/2 years in San Diego. I was looking for something right away and everyone was booked up luckily I came across yes Hunnie and called Ms.Nisha I told her I was looking for a frontal install for an event I needed to attend that evening and she told me we wouldn't be able to do it due to the customization is needs before hand but she told me she had closures available and she included it in the final price I agreed and she had an opening to see me at 11. I get there and the atmosphere was just AMAZING everyone greeted me and the receptionist was very helpful which is especially hard to find these days. Ms nisha started my hair around 11 and finished at 1pm that's the fastest closure sew in I've ever had and I'm not a closure person but I definitely love this one !! I will most definitely recommend this place to all my female friends in SD looking for hair services. You guys are a lifesaver thank you again Ms.nisha and staff !!!! read more
