I had a couple issues with heating and plumbing in a rental condo unit. I called YES, and they sent out a couple guys. I was out of town, and had to confirm work via phone calls. I approved a couple issues that were fixed. But, with the heating, I was told by Aaron that I needed a whole new unit, piping (heated water is ran through the unit to help heat the condo) and everything else he could think of. He quoted me "probably $10,000-$12,000". This seemed crazy to me, and I told him I would need a detailed written quote. "No problem, I'll get it to you first thing in the morning". Why not immediately? Not sure... Anyways, I never heard from YES or Aaron again, not even the written quote. Funny. I called Number One Plumbing, Heating and A/C. They got everything working just fine for about $1,200. It's been two months, so I know Number One did good, lasting work and saved me over $10,000 in BS. I have had several encounters with YES A/C and Plumbing. None of them have gone well at all and I will not be using them in the future and recommend that everyone use someone else as well. I will start with the most recent events. I received a bill from the water company that I was using way to much water compared to my past history. Yes A/C and Plumbing had been out just a few weeks prior(since I had purchased the water heater from them and it was covered by warranty) to my getting the notice to inspect my water heater and all was fine with the inspection. Come to find out it was a bad valve that was leaking water onto the side of my house in a remote and an area that I don't use much and didn't see the swamp. I called out YES and they were more than happy to sell me a new unit. However I picked a unit that would require a lager gas pipe be put into the house. They did they work, but as agreed by YES they didn't contact the city for approval until almost a month later and still have not contacted me to let me know if the work has been accomplished or not since I am a absent homeowner at the moment. I have called them on several occasions and no one knows if the work has been completed or not. Guess they don't want to get paid for this job! I DO WANT TO GIVE KUDOS TO ART THE MAN WHO INSTALLED THE UNIT! HE WAS GREAT AND THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE GETTING A STAR AT ALL! On another occasion I had them install an air conditioning unit. The men that installed the equipment left the area a disaster area, electrical boxes left wide open, and the trim work destroyed. I contacted YES and no one from the office cared enough to fix the multiple problems they caused. I spend several days fixing everything including redoing the trim around the attic myself. This company charges way too much and is manipulative. Charged my 65 yr old mother on a fixed income $600+ to replace a couple parts in an old water heater. The repair person told her a new unit costs $1,300 trying to make it seem like a deal. Then wanted to go through the whole house to "check pipes". Told her that one of her sinks needs to be replaced and labor costs $500 alone - more lies it had no issues. I came later and confronted the repair person about being manipulative and he was very unapologetic. He seemed calm as though he deals with this conversation a lot, was not willing to reach out to management to discuss a reasonable price. First off this company is absolutely fantastic. Had our ac go out Friday in late July. Called Saturday afternoon and they sent a guy named Joe Q out to fix it. He was at my house within 20 minutes. He did his best to fix it on spot but unfortunately he had to wait for a part that wouldn't be in until Monday! He was a ring notification on my phone literally at 8:25am Monday morning (today). I would never ever recommend this company to my worst enemy!!! My wife and I have been with this company since greenstar sold it to them, now over 3 years and tonight our air conditioner stopped working. We called them to come fix it and the soonest they could send anyone was Tuesday afternoon-when we called it was 645 on Saturday night. It was 111 degrees outside and we have a newborn in the house. The woman said they "don't have enough techs and that we should be fine until Tuesday." You have got to be kidding me!!! The one part that was broken on our air tonight was repaired by another company for 50% less than what they were going to charge us!!! Every time they come to service anything it always costs money! While shopping at Home Depot, I spoke to a store clerk who was scheduling A/C tune ups for $49. Since my unit is 20 years old and probably never had a tune up, I decided to get it done. Home Depot contracts Yes! A/C & Plumbing which says a lot I feel. The tech came over as scheduled, very nice and professional. He even put bonnets over his shoes so he wouldn't soil our floor. I pointed out to him a pipe that was installed too close to the house where the AC drip was coming from and was ruining the stucco. He repaired it at no cost!! That was a nice surprise. He didn't find any problems and cleaned up the unit. I will have them come out to do a furnace tune up next. I was pleased with their service. read more

Two days after our hot water tank had been moved we turned on the heat. Problem was, there was no heat. So we called Yes. The technician pulled the access panel and discovered that the water pump was unusually hot. He showed me a spot on the heating coil and claimed it was leaking. He said the system was shot and everything needed to be replaced. He provided us with a $9500 quote insisting we give him the go ahead ASAP because Christmas was coming up and it might be difficult to do the work over the holidays. Next, we called Infinity for a 2nd opinion. Their tech had us up and running in 2 hours - there was an air lock in the hot water line. Nothing was or needs to be replaced. read more

So I had their salesman Mark come over to my house and he was just that a true salesman. He just kept pressuring me to make a deal. He kept going outside to talk to his "manager" to get a better deal and saying he can only do this "today/right now" because its the end of the month. Our HVAC system went out, so I called the Yes AC & Plumbing. Brent was the person who came to the house. He took his time and explained what the problem was and what had happened. I felt he was extremely knowledgeable in what he was doing, and his recommendations of what needs to be done. Then he dropped the bombshell, he told us what it would cost to replace the system. We decided to shop around a bit, we have gotten more quotes from different companies that will replace for a fraction of the cost. Avoid if you can. They tried to sell extended warranty on overpriced water heater they just installed exactly 1 year ago, glad I did not pay the $169.00 because it covers nothing. Service guy claims that I already need anode rod at a cost of $341.00 on a $2000.00 water heater only a year old and warranty doesn't cover it. Service guys are friendly enough but will try to pressure you into sales and other things to float bill. Office help, schedulers, not very good. Check around, you can do much better as I am finding out the hard way. If money means nothing to you, than this company is for you. Terrible HVAC installation. They represent themselves as top shelve installers. Being referred by Home Depot, I trusted that they were. Complete disrespect for the home owner. They left trash (water bottles, rags, silicone tubes) and lots of new and old building materials in the attic. I was told by both installation teams that they don't know about roofing but yet they are contracted to install the unit to city building code. Last year, I had a problem with one of my air conditioning units. I called YES and the serviceman was wonderful--fixed the problem, didn't over charge, and was pleasant--actually lived in our neighborhood. We had such a good experience, we opted to purchase the Service Plan. Well, when the plumbing guys came out, they claimed that my main water valve in the garage was causing excessive pressure in our water heater, which could damage it. The wrote up an estimate to replace the valve-- about $800. Fortunately, I have a friend who's a plumber and called him to ask about the needed repairs. He bought the valve at the plumbing supply house for $20 and came over and made the repair in less than 20 minutes. When YES called to schedule another 'service plan' inspection, I told the person about the previous visit, how their plumbers had tried to rip me off, and that I no longer wanted them on my property. Instead of investigating further or offering to refund my Service Plan monies, she said "Oh, sorry, ok....we won't be calling you anymore" and hung up. STAY AWAY FROM YES-- con artists, crooks, and rip offs!!!! If there was a 'less-than-one-star' option, they would get it. :( read more

Yes came to our house after I received a flier that offered a 49 dollar AC inspection. The tech did the inspection and imediately said we need an entire system. Gave us a quote for $9,999.00 to replace the system. Everything I said the tech only wanted to tell me why I was wrong. He offered no suggestions other than me purchasing a new unit from them. Had another company come out and was told the system is fine and just needed 100.00 servicing. Yes is nothing g but a scam trying t sell new units. The tech comes in with his sales book and only has one thing in mind. To mislead and scam you out of 10k. I wouldn't allow them back in my house if they were giving away free ACs. NEVER HAVE YES do your service We purchased our furnace through YES! We've been loyal customers for 10 years. Had a technition come out because the blower motor was making noise (on a Monday) He said we needed the fan replaced, he'd order the part and it should be Wednesday, I called them when he didn't show up and they said the part wasn't in (would have been nice if someone would have told me that) then they said Friday...no show on Friday, called, part not in. I said How about you call me when the part comes in and we'll schedule the appointment. Waited 3 weeks...then the unit broke completely (while waiting for the part) I called they said I cancelled the part to be fixed!!! BS...NO WAY did I do that. So another guy came out and this time it was going to cost us $1,350 instead of $300!!! By now our house is 95 degrees...just fix it....he left after an hour and 2 hours later it went out again. He came back and the condensation line was clogged, fixed it....6 hours later (9:00 that night) it went out again!! This time no one wanted to come out. So my air conditioning is not working. I called Home depot to have someone come out and give me a quote. I also called Lowe's and another company for an estimate. Well one company showed up and then the other 2 including Yes. I received a phone call from the Yes company and the guy was throwing a total fit because I had other ompanies out for a quote. Now when I scheduled for him to come out I did state that I was having others also out for a quote. While on the phone he was trying to belittle me. FIRST MISTAKE. Then he stated that I would need to reschedule, so I asked him to please give me a half hour. He sounded like a 2 year old throwing a fit and stated " Fine, I'll sit in my truck for 30 minutes". I told him he was more than welcome to come in the house and if not In and Out was just down the street if he wanted something to drink. Again while on speaker, he proceeded to throw a fit, so I cut him loose and told him to leave. All I can say is WOW! I work customer service and he was totally out of line. Companies like this are the reason Yelp should offer ZERO stars. Yes! Heating and Air conditioning is an absolute scam of a company. I called to have our heating unit serviced/repaired. He comes over inspects the unit and says it needs to be re-leveled. I agree to the service after he tells me he can get it done for $190 (seemed very expensive, but needed to be done). I ask him to please also service the a/c units since that needed to be done (at $80 each, also very expensive). He finishes the work and gives me an invoice for $750!!! He then says the work was actually $380 (after quoting me $190), because it went 15 minutes into the second hour of work. He NEVER told me I was being charged by the hour. He gave me a quote for the work that I agreed to then changed the deal when he handed me the invoice. He then told me he would "knock off the second hour of work if I agreed to sign up for their service plan". The plan cost $380!!!!!! So my opinions are pay double or sign up for an insanely expensive service plan?? Sounds a lot like extortion. This company is a total scam. I explained what the "Nest Senior Agent" told me to tell him what he should look into. He looked at me again and said, "Nope, if the wires are hooked up right. The Nest is bad" Then he asked me if I would google the error my nest is giving and print it out for him before he left? He charged me $50 for looking at my wall and leaving. Our air unit went out on one of the hottest days in Las Vegas. We called YES. Yes, they came when they said they would, yes we decided to go ahead and replace the other unit as well, as we did not want to go through this again later this year or next. Yes, they had one in stock, yes they came and removed the two units with a crane that same day. Installed two brand new Courier Units. They had to remove all the old equipment in the attics as well. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for and we got very professional service and high-quality units. We will not have worry about the new units blowing out on us for the next 20 years. And YES we will continue to call them for service. My husband loves this company. No waiting for them to call you back, they come on time and when they said they would. We have used them before for smaller tasks as well. Great job! read more

I'm honestly incredibly surprised this company has the rating it does. This is the worst company I've ever worked with in my entire life, in any way shape or form. They charged us double what any other company would charge, scared us into thinking we needed repairs that we didn't need, left the job unattended for over 3 hours while we we're without any water, was told they would call me back about four times over the course of a week or two and they never did. RIP OFF!!! I had YES come out and flush my water heater and hook up my frig ice/water maker. The water heater went well. They did not have the parts to hook up my frig. They left to go get parts, although this job was not a special request and I would think they had parts on their truck, the "plumber " did not return for a hour and a half. I had to call dispatch to find out when/if he was coming back. He finally did and had to leave again for another part! To sum it all up. I spent five hours of my day off and spent over $700 and I still don't have water/ice coming from my frig. I called Yes Air $ Plumbing through Home Advisor, for an estimate on replacing the Delta cartridge in my bath tub faucet that was leaking. Mr. Cliff shows up and states he can't remove the cartridge and he needs to cut the wall and redo the pipes at a whopping $1,796.00. He even offered a 5% discount, (oh my) he thought I was born yesterday! I told him he was full of himself and for him to get his thieving soul out!!! The next day I had two estimates set up with other plumbers, one of which was Vegas Valley Plumbing. Their plumber showed up, (Mr. Huston) and he had the old cartridge out in two minutes and the new one in, in five minutes for $105.00 bucks. This lad was efficient and he showed me he cares about his company he works for and his job! Every question I ask him about he took the time to answer and with advice. I will refer my clients to him without question!!!! As a Realtor(r) for over 30 years I have had some run-ins with different contractors concerning pricing. If there is one thing I know, it is not about high or low it is about honesty and fairness, which is something Yes Air $ Plumbing does not get. If there was a star below 1, I would add a - to it.
