AC was blowing warm air then unit was shutting off after a few minutes. I thought it was short-cycling and was concerned that it would be a refrigerant leak. Because it's an older unit and uses R22, that's a problem. Phil and his assistant arrived, immediately got to work and diagnosed the problem quickly. It wasn't a leak, it was an issue with the exchange valve not operating due to a wiring problem. After some deduction, we discovered a broken wire, fixed it, and the unit was blowing cold again. Phil and his assistant never gave me the BS game that some companies try to do, especially with elderly clients, or tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. They were honest and straightforward. My central heat stopped working. SOMEONE TOLD maybe just pilot light call SW GAS. I did they told me they don't light pilot lights Recommended 3 companies one was Linn air ...called they Said $80.00 service fee ...don't remember If they said they would apply it towards your repair if you have them fix it...guy comes out same day ..he's on roof by ac unit about 20-25 minutes. Tells me I need a master control board. Cost approx 750.00. He could replace it tommorrow. I was like I will let u know havetoo discuss with someone. The tech was about 50 years old. Said he's been doing ac units for a loooong time..I always go with another opnion Before I decide who to go with. Called a company called blue Apple.. There service fee is $29. My unit is approx 10 years old barely..Never had any problems ..they come out 2 guys they are about 28-32 years old...up and down From the roof about 8 times they are here about an hour and 40 minutes... On the phone with somebody speaking another language Pretty much the whole time finally the one guy says to me He said there were 3 things wrong with my air conditioner unit One was a gas Ignition switch I cant remember the other 2... Just happen back in early November...he was gonna get a boss on the phone So that way everybody's on the same page and he can tell the boss what the issue was.. Boss is on the phone and tries to talk to me into buying a new air conditioner saying that once you have a problem it's like a domino effect you just gonna have more problems ... because 10 years is it's kind of old it should be replaced every 10 years I'm like what... Start at 11,500 I said I'm putting House of for sale in about 2 or 3 months I don't want to spend money on a new air conditioner and he said To the tech " then just tell her how much her repairs are and hung up. Tech says to me ABOUT 1,500.SHOWED me pics that he took...how do I know if this is even my unit ...one of the pics looked like something might have been broke but whoo really knows?...He never mentioned anything about a master control board.. I said to him what if that doesn't fix my problem the 3 things that he told me he said well then we'll have to do more research I'm like what...then who pays he said u do...I said I haveto let the boyfriend know we call u...a friend of a friend said call expert air ...they came out next day ..tech was on roof approx 20-30 minutes came down Said " okay I found issue and fixed it had to take switch out and clean it.. and charged me 100.. because the service fee ..his name Branson ..he was respectful ...very polite...and my unit works perfect... Why would these first 2 companies think it's okay too try and rip off a senior citizen Or anybody for that matter and think it's OK???? I have tried texting emailing calling the first 2 companies and all I got waS I will inform the manager...never responded to texts or emails...I want the service fee I paid returned....telling me all kinds of bullshit...including saying a need a new unit...DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND SERVICE FEE CHARGES ...go with EXPERT AIR...I AM NOT RELATED OR FRIE NDS WITH ANYONE FROM EXPERT. Phil, the owner, just saved me today. Thank you! I had a fall tune-up on the gas pack on my new home on Friday. The big company with 5-star reviews told me my heat exchanger (and entire heater) was shot from rust and not repairable and even worse, I could get carbon monoxide even though the meter read zero and my entire unit has worked fine since purchasing a few months ago. What a terrible shock. They also knocked out my AC during the inspection which I didn't catch that evening as it's cooler now but I spent about 36 hrs with no AC thanks to them and their pricey tune-up and doomsday news. Being the daughter of a retired general contractor, I always get 3 bids and try to do my homework which doesn't just include Yelp reviews. Out of all the recommedations I got from neighbors, Expert Air Conditioning and Heating was 1st in line for a 2nd bid. Phil came to the door, went right up on the roof, and came back with a written bid with all the fine print. The price was much less even after haggling with the original company, even on a Rheem (apples to apples). However, I didn't realize he hadn't looked in the unit: he just measured things out, got info, etc. I let him know I wanted a 2nd opinion and back up he went. He came down a while later and told me I don't need a new unit! What? What about all the rust? I even have pictures of that from the 1st company and so much more. Yeah, stock photos! The rust is mild and not an issue. He even tightened some things up and adjusted this and that all for free (and grabbed the loose bolts the 1st company left on my roof). I literally just paid the other company a whopping $99 for a tune-up and he's doing their job at no charge. I was in shock. Was I really in Shady Vegas? Yes, but Phil is one of those exceptions. He's an honest guy and he'll literally give you a bid, thinking you need a new one like I told his receptionist I did, and when you ask him for his opinion (which I must have not been clear about on the phone), he turns around and tells you what's really going on and walks away from a huge sale. Where am I? Back home? So, I mentioned I'm looking for a better brand, higher SEER rating, etc., and learned a few more things from a guy who's been in business for decades. He knows his stuff as I've been researching it for days and am no longer a novice. He tells me to call him when it conks out as they have a quick turnaround. I'd be in too much of a panic so plan to replace it in a couple years max as it's getting up there in age and I know exactly who to call now. Thanks, Phil! Our AC unit went out late Saturday night and since I've never dealt with this type of issue before I wasn't sure any AC companies would be open on Sunday but there was. Our unit was blowing air but no cold air was coming out and the fan outside in the unit was not spinning. Over a 100 degree weather with a house temperature of 91 degrees, at night, is not pleasant. I almost started a bath to sleep in. I used the quote option on the business's yelp page and received a response in a couple of hours which isn't bad considering I asked for the quote at 6 am in the morning. Expert Air was able to setup a same day inspection for $24 dollars which would be used towards my payment if they found an issue. I got quotes from 4 other places and they were $79 for inspections and/or could not come out for a day or two. Expert Air came out at their quoted time and not only found the issue (some wires melted through each other) but fixed in under an hour. Yes the price was less than I expected it to be but I was also imagining the worst. Thank you Expert Air for being our Knight in Shining Armor. read more

This company came to my work to do some repairs on our building and while they did a fantastic job on our a/c they dropped a ladder on my car. I went out to the gentleman who was responsible and he told me he would pay for any repairs. My car needs painted and the convertible top was torn. I got estimates from a place for the bodywork and to get the top repaired and emailed it to the company. I was told that I would receive check for the amount of the estimate. I spoke with them over the past month and have been trying to get this issue resolved. I really trusted the gentleman that we could just settle this without any insurance involvement. I have been told for the past month that I would receive a call the next day. No one will update me on this issue and they avoid my calls. I feel so dumb for trusting someone who seemed so genuine. I am very disappointed. The ladder hit two cars our company paid for the other one out of pocket and mine was supposed to be taken care of by the person at fault. read more

Friday 4:30 PM. Over 100 degrees. My AC was making noise and not cooling well. I called Expert Air on a recommendation of a close friend. They handled the call professionally and were friendly. My Silverado Ranch a/c unit crapped out May 2016. (I'm late on my review, but in this HEAT I'm thankful for the service this company provided). I needed a whole new system and I called for quoting, because holy man it's EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. The owner was a straight shooter and, I just felt like I trusted him over other guys I talked to. For around $5400 I got a 3 Ton Goodman 14 Seer ac, furnace, and coil. Installed in about four hours. Hard to find a reasonably priced company with great customer service. I would use this company again in a heartbeat!!! No only were they able to give me same day service; they were able to give me an appointment within an hour of my call. The representative was incredibly courteous and friendly. My A/C tech was Dusty and this guy is rockstar!! If you use this company you should ask for him. He was punctual, friendly and honest. He was able to provide quick and efficient service and above and beyond and answer all of my questions so that I could make comfortable decisions. While I hope I don't see him soon, I know I will be using this company when my A/C unit goes out because I truly believe they will give me a fair price. Unfortunately, I was assigned this company from my home warranty. I can rarely get them on the phone for questions or service. It rings forever and sometimes goes to voicemail. When I leave a message it is not returned. I was originally assigned them back in May. During the initial visit the technician said that there was nothing wrong with the AC unit. A few weeks later he had to come back and said that the unit was broken and could not be fixed. He recommended that the unit be replaced. When calling the office, they tried to tell me that they would try to fix the problem but I should consider buying a new unit because my other one was so old. I told them that I had a home warranty but they tried to convince me that my warranty wouldn't cover a new unit and I should buy one. After arguing with them for weeks and making my home warranty calling them, I finally had a new unit installed on August 7th. They tried charging me for over $2000 for "services not covered ". It was reduced to over $400 after the home warranty company got involved. Less than a month later I had problems with the AC working again. They refused to send someone out unless the home warranty company told them too. The work order was sent and the appointment was made. They said that a technician would be here between 10a-2p. No one came or called. I finally got someone to answer at 2:00 and she said "oh, they got busy with another job. They will be there around 4 or 5". Here it is, Friday night before a holiday weekend. No call, no show. Highly unprofessional company. DO NOT USE THEM! read more

They were supposed to be here between 5&7, they came to have arrived at 7 and knocked and nobody answered. We were here all evening and didn't hear a knock on the door. I have been working with Expert Air for two years now and have them do 90% of our A/C repairs on the 200 homes/condos that I assist with managing. I would recommend them to anyone and to any property management company. They are super quick, very honest, I have had no call backs, the prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is very pleasant to deal with. There was one instance where they quoted a repair at $425 and I approved it. They called back 30 minutes later to say that once they started the work they found it just need re-wired and it would be $200 less. To me that spoke volumes to their honesty. read more

Our vents started blowing hot air out of nowhere (June in Las Vegas, 110 degrees outside, miserable). We had to turn off electricity to the whole house as the AC unit and furnace would never stop. Dusty got here in 20 minutes, figured out and fixed the issue quickly, as well as checking and replacing the run capacitor (it was almost dead) even though it wasn't the primary source of the problem. All the while answering our questions and being very polite. 100% will call Expert Air for future HVAC issues. Would recommend them to anyone. I would leave a zero star if I could. I have been dealing with this company for 6 months trying to get them to resolve an issue that they created. I paid them several thousand dollars to replace my old metal Air ducts with new ones. Since then, my bedroom which used to be one of the coldest rooms in the house is hotter by 4-5 degrees than even the bathroom! The hall is now the coldest room in the house and if I wanted a good night's sleep I'd have to move my mattress there. They sent out one technician who discovered that a lot of cold air is exiting my ac unit on the roof of my house. Told me Phil would call. No phone call. I called and complained again. They sent out a tech. He said it's probably a flap that isn't closing the duct. He would check with installer and Phil would call. No call. There is no follow through with this company. I selected them because up until this point, I felt they were honest. Now I have an extremely hot bedroom. I'm having to run my house at 73 to get any comfort and I sweat all night. Gave Expert Air Conditioning on a Sunday, expecting to get a recording and phone was answered by a real person. I told her my AC went out but it wasn't an emergency and I didn't want to pay more for a Sunday service. She said same price and sent a guy out to check the unit. He arrived in a few hours and determined the 16 year old unit was beyond repair. He quoted us a price for a new 5 ton unit. We agreed to the install and they were able to install it the next day. So, within 24 hours we made the call and had a new AC installed. We weren't cold for all that long. Strongly recommend them. read more

This company is one of the ones we called to receive an estimate for stolen air conditioiner replacement in a rental house of ours. They were the lowest price and because we were working with insurance companies they agreed to accept the payments the way the insurance company pays. Tom was very concerned that the job get done quickly so the young family could move into a home that was nice and cool. BEWARE! I fell victim to this company's policy of bait and switch, meaning I had them come out to do a routine AC maintenance for $59 but they weren't here 5 minutes and came to tell me I needed 2 repairs totaling $800 which I felt was too high. Fearing that my AC was going out because of the loud noise it was making I agreed to do one of them at a cost of $200 after the initial quote of $250, making me think I was getting a good deal. After they left I noticed my AC was even louder than before so I called them back the next day and they refused to budge on the price and somewhat berated me for not fixing it when they originally came out. So I called around and got another company immediately and they fixed it within the hour for $250 less than this company quoted me. Never again would I ever call this company . They also suggested that I get a new unit (mine is only 12 years old), saying that it was only going to 'nickel and dime me to death'. They quoted me $5200 for a new unit. Really? read more

AMAZING! I would definitely recommend. Quick prompt service. We had an emergency failure of our A/C unit this past weekend. They were able to come out on an emergency visit even they they were booked solid. Phil sent Dusty over and he was as great as could be. He was professional and always called me sir. Great service and respect like this is extremely hard to find. He fixed our unit in 15 minutes. He knew exactly what was wrong and changed a part out. He treated me like I was his only customer.
