Way costlier than competition and fibbed of code compliance by end of this year to push new AC unit. R22 units are to be phased out by 2020, NOT By January 2018. Literally 2.5 times cost of other estimates for new unit replacement. Not even after 2 weeks and after whopping $1200 service repair, unit broke and refused to fix and said only option would be to replace unit with new. Said cause was clogged filter by the painters (who had already been before their initial repair so why wasn't this identified then??). What HVAC company in their honest work ethic not check vents for unit performance etc to see their repair is in working order?? Courteous servicemen but they must be pushed very hard to make new sales or be commission driven. Not in the interest of homeowner at all. Shame. Understand price fluctuation and variance but $10k vs $3750? Come on. Rip off at its worst. read more

Yes! should change their name to No!! The Las Vegas team installed our air conditioner three and a half years ago. After the first year we had them do a maintenance check. There was oil on the top of our unit that we wondered about but the tech said that was just residual from the installation. Today they came out because it was clear that one of the pipes they installed had completely failed and there was significant oil in the same spot as two years ago. Also our A/C was not working at temps over 105. They at least recognized they (1) did a terrible job on the welds originally and (2) made the mistake of not correctly identifying the issue two years ago. We expected that since this was poor workmanship from the get go they would at least repair it for free. No such luck. $1200 later and we are sooooo sorry we used them. They say they had to charge us because the problem wasn't identified earlier. Hello???? read more

This company seems to have it's priorities backwards--they seem to care more about selling than about plumbing. The plumbers seem pressured to push over-priced services which are of dubious necessity. A few weeks ago, one of their plumbers gave me a written quote for replacing my water heater, $1879, based on the laminated price sheet he had in his little sales book. He wrote, in big letters, "50 gal 60,000BTU" water heater at the top of the invoice. Today, when he comes to do the work, his field supervisor shows up with him to inform me that the price I was given two weeks ago, IN WRITING, was for a 40,000BTU water heater. The supervisor says a 60,000BTU heater is going to be more expensive and gives me a new quote for $3558. ???!!!! Later, I called two other reputable plumbing companies and both gave me a price of $1100 for the same installation package for a 60,000BTU unit. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about Yes' deceiptful upselling practice and hired one of the other companies to do the job. read more

I had a very poor experience with the plumber - sales person. From the onset of arrival, it was a sales job. The plumber insisted that he do a "free" review of our house to determine if we are having any issues. I requested only an estimate on the work that I needed (some minor work). Well, he found multiple issues and gave an estimate of over $5,000! I again requested only the estimate for the minor work that I wanted to have completed. He refused and continued to "Smooth Talk" me and try to get me to agree to the array of work and hefty estimate. In fact, he left and came back to "harass" me some more which led to an argument on my front porch. He just was not taking no for an answer! Beware of this company and their sales tactics. They will try to "build the ticket" at all costs. I would highly suggest you find another company or be prepared to entertain a sales process that will only build their ticket and line their pockets! read more

I had a kitchen drain leak in the crawl space under the house. Decided to give Yes a try. Technician comes out, nice enough guy, and takes a look. Then has to call his Supervisor to get a price quote. Tells me that he will need to replace 30 feet of drain pipe, and he will need to call in a helper. It will take the two of them about 4 hours to do the work. Cost estimate: $2000. He was gracious enough to offer me a discount, reducing the price to $1800. Then he tried to sell me an AC service package for $170 per unit (I have 2) for "regular" service I really don't need. When I challenged him, he didn't have much to say except that the work "required" two people, and prices are higher for professional services like this because they come to your house. Funny, I hadn't realized we could take our house to the shop. So I know this guy who is a licensed plumber. He came out and did the repair in 1 hour by himself. Didn't have to replace any pipe, just a couple of fittings. Cost me a couple hundred bucks. Yes trains their people well in the art of deception. Their only goal is to overcharge the unaware and sell unnecessary services wherever they can. Unreasonably inflated prices. Stay Away! read more

Just say NO and do not call them if you are a elderly person. My parents called "YES" for there yearly whole home plumbing inspection. When they showed me what they recommened that needed servicing and what they were charging I got really angry. Let's start with installing a new garbage disposal-Labor is $98 a hour at 3 hours ($294). If it takes a licensed plumber 3 hours to install one they must be blind. If they were to buy the garbage disposal from YES and have them install the price would be ($480) Seriously a new disposal is under $100 at HD. To rebuild the toilet tank is ($249) you can buy a new one at Home depot cheaper. To install a shut-off valve at the toilet ($196) that is just a $1 compression fitting at the hardware store. I tried calling them to get a price on the labor to install a garbage disposal to see if they are consistent in ripping people off, but the girl could not give me a price over the phone and said a technician would have to come to my home because only they have the prices-yea right. I just wonder how many other elderly people are trusting these companies, only to be taken advantaged of. Shame on you YES plumbing. read more

Although my "free" six month service started out badly with a technician that was new to the company (clueless on proper ways to accomplish maintenance) which left me with no A/C that blistering hot day, Yes management sent a different technician out a few days later to correct the problems left by the first. David C. was fantastic-he explained all problems with great patience as I am a 100% disabled veteran and need everything spelled out. I called these guys up to fix a little leak in my house.I knew exactly where the leak was and what I wanted fixed but when the guys came over they said the leak could be anywhere. I pointed out to him where it was and he said no it could be anywhere you have to replace all your pipes. Then he told me the charge would be $9500 so I told them no thanks and they charged me $50 for wasting my time.To make a long story short I called another plumber and he said your right the leak is right where you say it is and he fixed it in a few hrs for under 500. Please do yourself a favor and do not call these guys they are total scammers. I'm so disgusted with them that every time I hear there commercial on the radio I change the channel. So I called out YES! Air conditioning for a check up on my A/C unit be fore the summer hit in Vegas. They we on time and the technician was very nice. Looked over everything noted that a few things that were worn but on a 9 year old system with little maintenance, "it looked pretty good". He was checking the capacitor and said that they were not reading right and recommended replacing them. So I agreed thinking it was 50 to 60 dollars per part. I got the bill after he was finished and each part cost $195. What a shock. So as he was leaving I asked for the old parts and looked them up online. If I would have ordered them form Amazon I would be out 40$. Should have listened to my neighbor when he told me that they were extremely over priced. I was approached by Home Depot on North 5th Street in North Las Vegas. They said the can send someone out to check on the AC vent and dryer vent and give estimates on AC unit tuneup. Kelt Bell (Residential Supervisor) from Yes! came out and didn't even look at the ac duct, dryer duct or even looked at the AC unit. He just asked me how many units do I have. I told him I had 2 units and he instantly told me it will be $795 per unit. I was appalled because he didn't even look at anything. I don't know if it's because he sees a female and wanted to take advantage or what, but NO WAY on earth would I ever have this company do any work! read more

The technician informed my Mom that the fan motor was ready to go and would not last the summer. It is 2014 and the motor still works. I was really concerned when I read some of the reviews. But my experience with this company ended up being better than I could have ever hoped for. It was a Sunday afternoon. I went out in front of my home and noticed a flow of water coming from the water meter box on the sidewalk in front of my house. Called the water department and was told that, if the leak was coming from outside the meter, then it was their problem. But once inside the meter, it was the home owners responsability. After taking off the cover, and scooping out the excess water, there was definitly a leak on my side. Being 2;00pm on a Sunday afternoon, it was almost impossible to find anyone who could come out that day. Finally called this company, and they told me they could have someone there in about 2 hours. They were licensed and bonded, and had an A rating with BBB. So I made the appointment. I was really worried that this could cost thousands of dollars. They arrived around 4;30, and with in 10 minutes had located the problem. Was able to fix it for $218.00. The older supervisor Mike was great. He had a younger assistant who I didn't get his name. But he too did great work. Had the problem fixed in 20 minutes. If these guys had told me that it was a problem that required a thousand dollars, I would have probably said go ahead. But at no time did I feel they were looking to make extra money. From the moment they arrived, I honestly felt that their only concern was locating the real problem and getting it fixed. I felt so good about the way they handled this situation, that I signed up for their sevice program, where they will come out trwice a year and service the A/C units. I know that different people have different experiences. But mine was A+ with this company. Thank you for the great job guys. read more

Being from Alaska and knowing nothing about central air conditioning I trusted an in-home rep from THD. I was pleased that the tech could be out later that afternoon and the service call would only be 49 dollars. That is where the pleasantries ended, the tech was on time and an advance call was made. The art of pushing products was painfully clear with the tech, understanding they know what they are talking about i agreed to a recharge and a new contact switch, a whopping 517 bucks later I feel bent over a barrel. The tech kept telling me that the thermostat that I installed less than a year ago was junk and for 286 dollars he could install a new one, similar to a model sold at THD for about 35 dollars... He was very out of touch with current thermostat pricing and said I could install one that was non-programmable since the unit was old for about 150.00, these retail for less than 20 dollars. Nice enough tech just pushed way too hard on a new unit and thermostat, felt like putting a 9000 dollar unit into a condo valued at 30,000 like going to the store and buying a loaf of bread. Hoping that the unwarranted recharge will hold out for the summer so its less painful to think of the cash wasted on it. Will definitely call a different service company next time! read more

I called Yes because I have a leak in my water main. I located and dug up the leak before they arrived. The star they did get from me was only because they showed up on time. I wanted to replace the water main, which is a 30 foot flexible tube. The technician that they sent said that they would replace it with Wirsbo Aquapex. This was the first problem. I asked him if that is Pex and he told me no, it is different. The reality is it is Pex, although it is the brand of Pex with the best reputation. The main problem arrived at the estimate. They wanted $3500.00 to do the work. I am not an idiot, as I can only surmise the tech assumed I am. The tubing is sold in 100 foot roles for $106.00. That amounts to $1.06 per foot. The fittings are $12.00 and the job would require two. The labor will take 6 hours if they take their time. So $3500.00 for less than $50.00 in materials and a days work. I pointed out to the tech that he is trying to charge me $100.00 a foot for material that cost's just over a dollar a foot. He told me that that is the going rate. I told him that there is no way I was going to pay that. He returned five minutes later with a new quote of $2700.00. Which is still about $1800.00 over an extremely fair price. I can only assume that they regularly get unknowing people to pay these prices. They know that you need them, and fast, but I am willing to wait until Monday to get the job done. I will never call Yes again for anything and would recommend that anyone do their homework on what the materials cost and how much labor it will take to get the job done! Please be aware!!! Had them come out for a leak and next thing i know my duct work is all bad and needs replacement. $4500 for 5 ducts out of control! 3 times what others would charge. Price gouging needs to stop. I understand making a profit but completely ripping someone off is unacceptable! The tech was quick to pull out a chart of financing plans almost like that was his whole intention from the beginning. I think their service and repair is excellent, but their appointments system sucks. Company will not send their service rep unless they talk to you on the day of the appointment. You miss their call, oh well you will have to reschedule. I don't always have my phone on me at all times, but I do know how to keep an appointment. If I can't keep an appointment, I simply reschedule. This business practice of theirs is annoying. A simple reminder the day before an appointment would suffice instead of cancelling the appointment altogether. I wouldn't recommend them based on their appointment scheduling practice and their service and repairs are on the high side. read more

Total rip-off artists. I contacted Yes! thru HomeAdvisor. They were the first to respond of 3, and the first to come to the house for their 'free estimate'. The work that needed to be done is as follows, Replace a kitchen faucet with one that I had purchased. Remove an old sink from the bathroom and replace it with a new one I had purchased, along with a new faucet. This was a total labor only job. Here is how their estimate reads; 'Install C/S lav sink.................$323.00' 'Install C/S Moen Faucet........$296.00' ( $619.00 for the bathroom sink & faucet. LABOR) 'Install (2) Emergency S/O.....$442.00' ( the shutoff valves are OK and rotate smoothly,) 'Install C/S Kit Faucet.............$296.00' Total ........$1,357.00 just for the labor. Unlike Scott T, I do know about plumbing and electrical & drywall & just about everything else, as I have flipped over 12 houses and acted as my own GC. Due to an accident where my back was broken in 3 places and the fact I am now 78 years old, I felt I couldn't facilitate the repairs myself, hence the call. I do not recommend this company! I Arranged for a $49 tune up of my Air Conditioning Unit at Home Depot with Yes! AC and Plumbing because I purchased the home as a foreclosure. They never called the day before as was promised and they didn't even call the day of the appointment so I called to confirm and customer service confirmed that a technician would be coming out to my home at the agreed time. I received a call from the technician about 30 minutes before the end of agreed call out window and he arrived about an hour later than the call out window. The technician was polite, courteous and wore boot covers. That is the best thing I can say about the experience. This technician was as much a salesman as a technician. He measured amperage draws of the condenser and fan and said the condenser was drawing outside the normal range and that the condenser was indicating that a new system should be installed. He checked the fan amperage which I recall read ok. He did a check of the units capacitor an indicated it was outside normal readings and that it should be replaced. He noted that fan was leaking oil and that it could fail at any time. The fan appeared ok to me. The condensing unit coils were indeed very dirty and that would cost about $320 to clean. After checking the units high and low pressure sides which indicated that R22 coolant should be added he assured me that it was a bad idea because the condenser coils were so dirty and that the evaporator coils were probably just as bad. I do recall that a great deal of gas was released as he disconnected the pressure gauges (there goes my R22 coolant). We moved inside the house to the attic to look at the evaporator coil and he said he could not do it because it was inaccessible but assured me that it was as dirty as the the outside condensing unit coils. After a hard sell to purchase a totally new AC system I told him I didnt plan to live in the house beyond next spring and told him to go ahead and replace the Condensing unit capacitor that he recommended to change. The total of the capacitor change plus the $49 tune up call came to $290. I later cleaned the condensers coils and the evaporator coils (which wasn't nearly as dirty as I feared). The evaporator coils were accessible if the technician had crawled about a third of the way around the unit he could have unscrewed seven screws to open the evaporator coil unit up. Only attempt if you disconnect all power (be careful of the capacitor on the condensing unit even after disconnecting power) and have some idea of what to do. Items which the technician did not do but are listed on the tune up advertisement are: 1. calibrate the thermostat 2. secure electrical connections ( I found that the condensing unit power panel had two screws which could be tightened about a 1/4 turn.) 3. blower motor was not checked 4. cleaning and flushing of the evaporator condensate line 5. inspect drain pan of indoor coil 6. check evaporator for adequate flow I am considering flying my friend out with his gauges from Houston who took care of my AC in Houston for several years while I lived there. Do yourself a favor and find a different service provider.Forgot to mention that they really push the heating and cooling service plan and cleaning of the indoor ducts and heating and cooling unit. Save your money, as if paying them to come out biannually to sell me something is a good idea, and pass. read more

YES plumbing is the worse!!!!!! We had a thankless water heater installed and the tech did not use ancors to hold the pipe to wall. Also did not get a threaded pipe. Tech repaired 2 holes but created 19 more. We were promised someone would be out to repair and paint. After a wk we called back same story. We scheduled appt and they sent the same plumper out. No record of work order. Called again. They over charge and do crappy work! If not for emergency we would not have called. We stopped using them before for over pricing and workmanship! I would give them negative rating. Thankless system not working as described. May be due to how it was installed. Additional comments WE had tankless water heater installed 2 wks ago. Jacab was going to go thru the antic and run necessary pipe but decided to just go thru the house and run gas line outside. no problem. He put the wrong brackets on the pipe and it was falling off the house the same day. WE called him back and he but additional brackets and 19 yes 19 holes and gauge on the house. we called to have repaired and then didn't send someone. THen we called again and was scheduled for Sat am. 8 no show they send the plumber jacob who put all the holes in the house. He said there was no record of the work order. WE called Rachel again the manager who set the appt up. After getting very angry we have an appt for 11. it is now 12:15 and we called and they are sending the plumber. Again not what we need we need them to fill in all the holes and paint like they promised. This is absolutely insane the service or lack of we are getting. read more

I called yes air conditioning yesterday for the summer service on my unit. Justin F. was sent out and was very professional. after a thorough check of everything it was brought to my attention that my unit was in bad shape. it was recommended that I get a new one due to the fact that it was to old and had some burnt wires and could be a fire hazard. I had a home warranty and said I would get back with him. he left and after thinking about it for awhile I called and they sent Justin F. back. with in a few minuets he arrived and was extremely helpful in getting me setup with a new unit and setting up all the instillation. Yes checked my ac today When I got home tonight it was not working after I paid $221 for a part I might not have needed, I called them to report the problem and they said that they could not come back until tomorrow. I asked to speak to a supervisor who finally agreed to send someone over within an hour after I cried bloody murder as it was 83 in the house and that the ac was working before they worked on it. A Yes man came and resolved the issue. Given the hassle they gave me I am seriously considering not renewing my service contract when it expires. read more

I am currently renting a home and the home owner saw some sale of AC repair and inspection so she went for it and scheduled someone to come to our home to check in on it. The AC has been working perfectly fine with no issues... upon the tech's arrival the house was about 74 degrees nice and cool. When he left, the AC stopped working and the temp went up to 89 degrees. When we called to ask about it, the tech said it was "broken" and needed a new compressor, and that the house was extremely hot when he arrived and the renters were just "dealing" with the heat... If it was actually broken I would call someone (homeowners or property mangement) ASAP!! and not wait a whole week to schedule an inspection! The frustrating part was that the tech lied! Don't go with this company, they will scam you. Now I have to wait 3 days in 107 degree weather for the compressor to arrive (which the tech didn't tell me, I had to call in to find out). read more

Home Depot has annoyingly "partnered" with various local vendors who set up inside their stores to pounce on HD customers. Yes! Is one such partner, and like many I fell prey to their A/C tune-up sales pitch back in 2011. For a nominal fee they came out to check the system. The guy that came out had me get up on a ladder with his carbon monoxide meter while he went into a separate room where the air handler was located. Within seconds, the meter began reading carbon monoxide emissions! I can't prove it, but I am sure he just used a lighter or something in order to release gas into the system. When I was reluctant to have them do further "investigation", he called a supervisor who swung by to discuss the matter. I declined further assistance and showed them the door, but I would never recommend these con artists and personally feel that Home Depot should do a better job vetting their business partners. read more

A few months ago, we finally finished paying off our overpriced, $10,000 Yes bill ahead of schedule. It doesn't make me feel any better to have it paid off, since they dramatically overcharged us in the first place. I'm so glad to be rid of them. If anything comes out of this experience, it's hoping I could help other desperate people that were in my situation avoid being scammed by this company. Please shop around and get several estimates! There is no way Yes is the best choice after you hear from others. Many things can be fixed, parts can be replaced. Don't fall for full replacement like I did.
