Good drinks and the girls behind the bar have been very friendly but this past weekend I noticed the bigger male bartender was consistently rude to customers and was completely inattentive to the bar top. We have been here one other time. It was pretty good. But this time we went for the Sunday deal and they needed more staff. It was so bad the bar back luckily put in our order. Then took an hour and a half to get food. No server even approached us. Once we got the food, we ran out of water finally flagged down a server. Next thing you know she was at the bar giggling drinking her drink and never brought us our water. It was ridiculous. It was almost like they were trying to avoid us. Me and my friend ordered wings and while we were waiting one of the staff came up to me and was like "im sorry but you can't have your hat backwards it has to be forwards, its against our dresscode" and me and my friend looked at each other like is this a joke, and i was like "are you for real" and he was serious and i asked why and he said because that's what the owners put as the dress code and i asked to talk to the owners and he said the owners weren't there and i said well can i talk to a manager. Then the manager came and i asked why i had to turn my hat around and the old manager guy said "because it's in our dress code on the sign in the front" and i said "i know it's your dress code but why? Is it like a personal thing to the owners" and the manager said "it's not personal it's the dress code on the sign" which didn't answer my question on why is having a hat backwards any different than having it forwards and why is it a big deal? That is what i was asking and he couldn't give me an answer. And it felt as if the manager was trying to intimidate us because we were DEFINITELY some of the younger ones in there but we weren't gonna take it. I wanted to tip $0 but i know it wasn't the waitresses fault for the manager acting like a POS. The wings were good but not good enough for me to come back to deal with that again. P.s. don't go in wearing a hat backwards or you will be ridiculed as if you were a criminal. Do not go here. It's a fraudulent business. They charged my card for the authorized amount, and then charged me an additional $50 the next day which was not authorized and overdrew my account. The food was awful. I went with a group. It took quite a while apparently there was only the bartender and one waitress. This is no fault of theirs for being short staffed. But we had to get up and ask each time for a drink or refill because the waitress had the entire place to help. The food was cold, the hamburger tasted like a dry soy burger, the sampler was terrible. All of us ended up with 'stomach issues'. Considering each plate was about $15...it was definitely not worth it. What makes it worse is that the owner was there sitting at the bar hanging out. Shouldn't he have pitched in or called someone to help? Two people were doing everything...sweating and working hard. We wanted to tip better but because the food was was so bad and made us sick...we just couldn't considering we spent almost $100 and had to get up and wait in line at the bar everytime we needed something. Again...we feel the fault is with the owner/manager who sat there without contributing. This use to be such a nice place that had a dress code. It's a shame Fast Eddies closed down as there is only this place, Poets (which is ghetto and had a shooting), or Northgate which is basically all students. Went to this bar on 10/14/22. First off it's 91 outside and I had a tank top on and yes I am a male. My wife had a tank top on as well, female. Bartender asked just me if I had a shirt with sleeves. Didn't ask my wife. With a low class bar like this why would you expect your customers to not wear tank tops when it's hot outside. YES we left the bar, no bar that requires me to wear sleeves is going to get my money. Also my tank top says, proud American on it. Guess they don't like America. Don't waste your time or money on this place folks it looks like someone opens a nice bar back in 1979 or 80 and went in the next day and just quit. Gray, dingy and dirty on the outside, dark old and dirty in the inside. Not hospitable at all staff walk around like a bunch of entitled spoiled brats that would rather be anywhere else than where they Are. The food is like frozen and popped in the microwave. There are much much much better places to eat and drink in the town there and a no need to go to the depressing place to try and have a good time.the owner need to take a good long hard look at what they are trying to pass off as a bar and grill. First let's start with the wings, they were surprisingly good! We went on 50 cent wing night which is apparently every Thursday! Literally .50. I paid $7.50 for 15 wings! They were fried crisp to perfection without cooking them for too long. There are 5-6 different wings sauce such as class buffalo sauce, hot honey sauce, and Korean pepper. I tried all three of these flavors. The garlic parmesan were a hit amongst other friends. The fries were pretty good as well. No salt but tastes as if it were fried in oil mixed with beef fat, very comfort food like flavor. Not 5 star wings however the wings, fries, and casual drinks leave you more than satisfied, especially on a night out with friends. I'm curious about their to-go menu because I would gladly order them for take out. The service was very lacking and left more to be had. Our waiter was in good spirits, however; food was beyond very slow to come out and my fries did not come until it was time to receive our check after asking. Also, the lack of refills left us very parched. Our waitress said this was due to no checkbook and/or lack of help from the wait staff. I tipped well and she was nice enough to not charge me for my fries since they were cold by the time I received them. The service is why I have to give 3-Stars. Overall, even though the service was mediocre, I plan to come back for another round of .50 wings. Anyone looking for good wings at a good price point should try Yesterdays Bar and Grill. Witnessed a family get told to leave this establishment tonight because their dog parked. The family was there since before I got there so at least two hours. Pet friendly patio??? Dogs bark..did the owner ask the over served sloppy drunksb to leave..nope. This dog was banned due to his large breed. Not once did this innocent puppy show any signs of aggression or misbehavior. When the family was told "barking isn't a good look for the patio" they were sympathetic..even tho I NEVER WITNESSED THIS DOG DOING ANYTHING TO BE BANNED! The family was told "the dog has to go!" Extremely rudely that it upset our party. The family left with no words exchanged, but I could see the disappointment and hurt. Meanwhile little kids were running around yelling..but a dog barks and is told to get out! Little did this establishment realize that dog is a psychiatric service dog that has gone thru extensive training and was doing his job to protect the owner. I seriously hope a formal complaint is filed cuz EVERYONE there witnessed the discrimination tonight. Kudos to the family that owns that sweet dog for not reacting! Yesterday's has the best Crawfish in all of Bryan/college station. During the season, I tend to get my Crawfish from there a couple times a week. I've tried the other places in town, but this place does it in a solid Louisiana style. The flavor is amazing, the quality is excellent. When I buy 10 lbs it comes with all the fixings. Potatoes, corn, and mushrooms. Also, when I order 10 lbs I actually get to eat them all. They pick out the dead ones before they hit the boil. Size is awesome too. No itty bitty Crawfish when you order from yesterday's. FYI, my experience with eating Crawfish comes from my extended stay in Shreveport, Louisiana. Lived there for 13 years. This is hands down my favorite bar in town. It is the older crowd, but if I wanted a college student filled, noisy, crazy bar I'd go to Northgate. I prefer the chill, smoky atmosphere, the older population that can hold their booze without causing a scene, and the friendly staff. The waitresses are always polite, the bartenders are good at what they do (they don't always know some of the less common drinks - but they are always willing to learn), and the Crispitos are sent directly from heaven. The pool is a little pricey but always fun (and I have nothing to really base the pricing on, as I don't play anywhere else). They do have a dress code and I appreciate that a great deal. The music covers a pretty big range, which is important to me when I'm going to hang out in a place for a few hours - given the crowd you're mostly going to hear classic rock, and never rap/hip hop. I adore this place, the good food, and the perfect atmosphere. If you don't want smokey, walk the few feet to the College Station border. Decent beer selection, from commercial to craft...though they need to change the lines more (the Bell's Two Hearted was kinda off). Food is actually pretty good here.
