Really wanted the brisket queso too, but chickened out as I already ordered quite a bit. Will get it next time though, the brisket in the Philly was delicious. Entered a raffle with an older couple for a pistol on the way out, which I wasn't expecting, but as the elderly gentlemen said, one can never have too many firearms. Fingers crossed I guess lol all around a fun stop for lunch.

Since we had been drinking a while, we decided to have pizza at the shop attached to the bar. They have a nice pizza oven and this was excellent. Sadly they were out of a key ingredient or two to make pizza when we were there - during Thanksgiving week, so... not "normal" timing - so we sadly could not try their pizza. But we enjoyed multiple great pours, some good cocktails, great conversation, and exploring all of the details in the decor. A staple for any visit I'll be making to College Station and Aggieland.

Instead, they give one little cup, which isn't nearly enough, and good luck getting the servers to bring you more. I had to go to the bar to get them. That's very cheap and annoying. Generally, the service is ok, and the ambience perfect for a neighborhood bar.

I have lived in many cities and I can never find other shot bars, which leads me to believe these people are geniuses. One group of 5 walks in and within 10 minutes, they've dropped $60 in shots, easy. Here's how it all works: you go in the front or back door, belly up to the bar, order your first round of shots. You meander down the bar a little, belly up again and order your second round. This proceeds until you're at the end and proceed out the other door and on to the next place (after playing in bottle cap alley). I miss this place. It's dingy, it's small, it's Texas and it's perfect. Even the bartenders are nice. Do yourself a favor and stop by! The Chocolate Cake shot is always one of my favorites.

Anyone who actually plays darts knows that using three completely different darts makes it nearly impossible to play properly. I'm not asking for tournament-level equipment -- just three that are consistent. This time, I was told I could not look through the set and that I would just have to take them as-is because they're "free." That hasn't been the standard before, and it was handled in a way that felt dismissive rather than helpful. If there's a new policy, that's fine -- but it should be communicated clearly and consistently. As someone who comes here frequently, it was frustrating to feel brushed off over something that has never been an issue before. I ended up leaving without even playing. I'm not usually one to leave a review but I hope management takes a look at this, because consistency and attitude really matter, especially with regular customers.
