Yet Tuh is located in an unassuming little spot on Buford Highway and if it's your first time, it might be a bit hard to find. It's won a lot of "Best of" awards, including making the top list of restaurants by Atlanta magazine and its well deserved. The service is attentive and English is not a problem for the waiters there. You get a good assortment of rotating side dishes and the entrees are all pretty good. The squid samgyupsal is really good and comes out steaming hot and the spicy chicken stir fry comes out in a massiv pot and cooked st your table. This place is a hidden gem. Literally, you have to meander through some parking lots and around an obscure plaza to find it. The very first time I went, I wasn't even sure I was at the right place. Once you find it, parking is plentiful and easy. Most of the dishes are good. You'll never go wrong with the meats and the regular Korean go-tos. But I'll list a few of my faves: Budae Jigae - spicy mixed meat soup Dduk Mandu Guk - Rice cake and dumpling soup Boribap Jung Shik - mixed veggies w/ rice FYI: I am probably not spelling the dishes as they appear on the menu. Sorry! :) My absolute fave is the boribap jung shik. They bring out barley rice, a variety of prepared veggies, slightly spicy seasoning (in a stone bowl) and tofu curd (which I am not a huge fan of but others may like). You mix the first three together and you get something like bibimbap but better. It's the ultimate Korean comfort food. The main dishes are great, but the banchans, or side dishes, make me come here over and over again. They make their side dishes themselves and aside from the kimchi (a Korean staple at all meals), the dishes change on a regular basis. Some Korean restaurants skimp out on how many banchans they give you. But not Yet Tuh. You are never-EVER-in want. For this Korean ITPer, this is the best Korean restaurant you can find without trekking all the way to Duluth. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because of their service. They are always severely understaffed. I'm glad that we came to try this hidden gem (especially since it may not be hidden for much longer, since it was mentioned in Atlanta Magazine recently). I got the kimchi stew (jigae). It was made just right- spicy, rich in flavor, homey. Not a thing I would change about it. The hubs got tofu and pork (I forgot the exact name of the dish). The tofu was just boiled and not flavored, and the pork was in the middle, sauteed with some veggies. We both really liked our dishes. And the banchan was really good too! (potatoes, small fish, well fermented kimchi & radish, etc). Like other yelpers mentioned, the flavors are really clean, but traditional. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes! Yet Tuh is now one of my fav Korean restaurants on Buford Highway. It's recently ranked #29 on the best restaurants in ATL according to Atlanta Magazine, and is a go-to place for many Korean people (which means the food here is authentic). Though the place is a bit tricky to find, but it's definitely worth exploring if you are into Korean food. Yet Tuh offers a family-like atmosphere and quite traditional Korean dining experience. Given the quality of the food as well as complimentary side dishes, the $ is very reasonable, especially comparing to some other Korean restaurants nearby on Buford. I've only been there twice so far, so I haven't got the chances to try everything on the menu. I would recommend Pork Belly, dry seaweed roll (Korean-style rice roll), and budae Jigae (spicy Korean Soup. The side dishes, again, are different each time I visited, and have always been the highlights of my dining experiences. The pork belly is probably the most traditional Korean dishes. The pork belly here has a crispy texture, and is good with the traditional sauce of salt and oil. The rice roll is good to eat with other meat dishes or soup to balance the flavor, and it comes in a generous portion size (enough for a party of 3-4 people to share). LOCATION: Yes, as everyone has been saying, Yeh Tuh is tucked well into a plaza that looks abandoned. Not visible from the road, you have to drive down into a plaza that seems abandoned even though the "International Plaza" sign shows many stores in Green/White font/background. If you are driving north on Buford Hwy, After you pass Towers, White Windmill and finally Firestone, you will be at the intersection of Buford Hwy and Oakcliff Rd. Take a right onto Oakcliff and the plaza is immediately on your left so take the first "opening" on your left. Then keep driving down until you can't drive anymore and you will stumble upon two korean restaurants. Yeh Tuh is the smaller one. FOOD: Right off the bat, you notice their ban chan (small side dishes that comes with your entree) are of better quality and selection. It's varied slightly each time I have gone but nonetheless, I have been pretty satisfied with their selections. They have many individual entrees ranging from soups, noodles, rice dishes, meat dishes, and seafood dishes. They also serve large portion soups (jigaes) that you can share with multiple people. From your basic kimchi jigae, dwanjang jigae, budae jigae (army soup), to LA Galbi, to Kimbap, Omurice, they have a wide range of entrees. They do not have tofu soup - just an FYI. I personally have ordered Yuk Gae Jang, Budae Jigae, Spicy Korean Braised Chicken, Omerice (Omelet Rice). All have been tasty and I have always left full. PRICE: Prices for individual soups/entrees average around $7-8 bucks which is awesome in my opinion. The portions are sufficient along with all the banchans, you are guaranteed to leave satisfied and full. The larger portions you share with others are in the $20's but again, for the price, you get enough food. SERVICE: I have always seen the same lady serving. Even when all tables are full, she seems to do it all. Taking orders and requests without forgetting and handling pressure very well, she gets an A+ in my books. Personally, I love small Korean restaurants whose food and service make you feel at home. Yet Tuh is nothing to shout about, but it certainly embodies Korean comfort food. One of my first litmus tests for Korean restaurants is the banchan (Korean side dishes) with respect to both presentation and taste. Even for my small table for 3, they gave me and my friends an ample variety of banchan and happily served more when we asked. Also, our group killed both rounds of banchan; there wasn't even 1 type of banchan that we didn't like. Of course, the next litmus test is the food we actually ordered. I ordered the budae jjigae (hot and spciy stew with sausage, tofu, kimchi, and other veggies), and it was delicious and would be even more so on a rainy day. Omurice (fried rice covered in a thin layer of egg) and ugeoji haejangguk (spicy beef and cabbage soup) were also ordered at our table, and those two looked pretty good too. Judging from my experience and the Yelp reviews, it seems like most items on the menu are at least pretty solid; it's all about what you're in the mood for. Yet Tuh is probably one of Buford Highway's best kept secrets. Why? Because it is so freaking difficult to find! You turn down into a random plaza off the main street, drive all the way around to the back and down another hill, and it is hidden in the shadows. But once you get into this small establishment, the food is amazing, and I've never seen such a variety of Korean dishes! I know I'm not Korean, but I like to think I'm familiar with all the classic dishes, but Yet Tuh offered way more than that! Everything that came out was delicious. I highly recommend the kimchi pancakes to start. They were nice and crisp on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside with flavor from the kimchi. The spicy beef soup that my friend ordered looked really good and it came with a side of seaweed soup that I ended up drinking for her. I ordered the egg fried rice omelette which was decent, but I think I could make that at home and would try ordering another authentic korean dish instead. I love coming to this place. Whenever I'm craving some hometown flavors, I head over here. Everything I've had has been great. Some of my favorites is the bossam (braised pork with ton of vegetables to share), the samgyupsal (grilled pork belly), and the boodaejungol (kimchi soup with every kind of meat you can imagine). the bossam and boodaejungol is for more than one (the boodaejungol can definitely feed three). I really think anything you order is good Service is the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars. When I come, I feel like I'm coming to my aunts house - the ladies are so great and have a little bit of that brash Korean mother-types but it's all in good fun. I came to Yet Tuh looking for some solid Korean food. But all I found was disappointment. Let's start with the side dishes. The spiced pickles tasted like detergent. The kimchi tasted too sweet. And everything else was decent/not too good. Ironically, the menu had a disclaimer saying that they would charge extra after two refills of side dishes. No thank you.. The kimchi pancakes and bibimbab, with its egg, stone pot, and beef, actually tasted alright. However, the haejangguk was unacceptable. Instead of curing my hangover, I think it made it worse. The soup was watery and the vegetables were hard and uncut. To make matters worse, it was filled with beansprouts which is definitely not normal. At least our waitress was nice. Great authentic Korean food. My favorite Korean place in Atlanta. I've tried their kimchee pancake, bibimbap, budaejjigae and gamjatang. All are excellent and the banchan (side-dishes) are very good. ZERO STARS, if possible. Do NOT eat here. My mom and I were eating and literally a COCKROACH climbed up my table right next to me just as we started to eat. It freaked me out of course, and made me question the cleanliness of the place. We called the waitress, and she said that the roach came out because they sprayed the roach killer inside the kitchen. Uh..... Gross. How bad is their roach problem that they have to use pesticides? We were so disgusted, that we immediately stopped eating and she still charged us. We are also very unhappy about the waitress' TERRIBLE SERVICE. We didn't see her for a long time when we wanted to order an extra side dish, and we had to call out for her once the cockroach got on the table. Disgusting place. Imagine all the cockroach eggs mixed in your food, and the roaches crawling on the side dishes. Never ever coming to this place again. Yet Tuh is one of the coziest restaurants with home-y korean food. The nice ahjummas makes me feel like if I had a korean best friend,.... this is how it would feel if I went to her house for dinner. My favorite dishes here: Kimbap: it's $5 and a pretty big roll. most importantly it's delicious, and a healthier decision than a $5 fast food meal. The restaurant is tucked behind a small, seemingly empty plaza, located off the major thoroughfare. The restaurant is small and cozy, nothing fancy. They serve the typical Korean dishes, like tofu soup, Korean BBQ, bibimbap...etc. But they also have some dishes that I've never heard of. We settled on the spicy Korean pasta, pollock soup, and seafood pancake. Like most Korean restaurants, the meal comes with various small dishes. I find the small dishes tastier than most places. The Korean pasta is definitely unique. It's chewy dough cooked in a spicy broth....very much like "mee hoon ge" in Malaysia. The pollock soup is another great dish with pieces of fish and vegetable in a broth. I could taste the sweetness of the fish in the broth- a perfect dish on a cold winter day. This place is good, no doubt about it. But the one thing that I can't stand is the pungent smell of fermented beans that hits you in the face the moment you step inside. As a Korean, I am used to smelly foods. But one of the specialty fermented bean stews that they serve here, is especially offensive. I wish they'd get a a more effective ventilation system going inside. You've been warned. If you don't retreat from the "aroma" and stick it out, you'll find a very broad range of traditional dishes. Their grilled fish is on point, as are their stews, and mixed barley rice dish. Their side dishes are also generous and range from fresh vegetables to spicy kimchis. I think Yet Tuh was actually on Atlanta Magazine's list for Best Korean Food in Atlanta last year -- which really surprised me given its hole-in-the-wall status and traditional menu, which is hard to decipher if you're not familiar with Korean cuisine. If you're feeling adventurous, want to find out what "real" Korean food tastes like, and don't want to drive to Gwinnett, I'd recommend this place. I ordered a duk mandooguk and galbi for dinner. Duk mandooguk - The broth for the duk mandooguk was awesome! It was super clean tasting. The egg and seaweed that they put in are exquisite. The duk is perfectly cooked so you can taste it and it doesn't taste raw. The only area I didn't like was the mandoo. They use a vegetable mandoo (I'm not sure if that's the norm but I'm used to more of a meat mandoo). - Galbi - It was well seasoned and tasted good. There wasn't much meat on each piece but compared to many other Korean restaurants, it was right on par. It wasn't super tender but it was still enjoyable. Overall, I liked this place except it is pretty pricey. I spent about $27-29 on the two including tip and tax. Give it a try if you've never been and you enjoy Korean food! read more

Not a lot of people know about this place because it's very hidden. However, this is hands down my favorite Korean restaurant to go to in the metro-Atlanta area. Seating is limited here, but they make up for the intimate space by providing great quality food at very fair prices. I ate more than a bowl of rice at dinner. That only happens when I'm eating my mom's home cooked Seoul food. (Seoul = soul get it ha. ha. sorry, I had to do it) Anyhow, the galbi was good, flavorful and tender. The grilled mackerel was really good! Crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. The boodaejigae wasn't the best, but I'm extremely picky when it comes to boodaejigae, so others might like it more than me. All in all the food was definitely fresh and yummy. The only thing about this place is the service is slow/bad. Plus, there's no button on the table to force better service. This is now my favorite Korean restaurant in Atlanta. I have been here for a half-dozen trip and ever item we've had has been great. Items we've had include: Dolsot Bi Bim Bap - This is the mix of vegetables and beef in a sizzling hot stoneware pot. Seafood pancake - It can be had as an appetizer but is a combination of onions and seafood that is cooked on a cast iron pan Mackerel broiled in spicy sauce - I don't have the Korean name in front of me but this is Mackerel cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce with radishes and other vegetables. Yes!: unlimited side dishes, inexpensive, traditional family-style korean food, ok service No...: the flavors... Tried dumpling soup. The dumplings were almost as huge as my fist! ;P However its filling was tasteless. Maybe that's how traditional korean dumplings supposed to be, but I didn't like it.. It contained eggs and rice vermicelli and the texture of the filling was off... The soup was good though. My friend had spicy noodles and it tasted like the noodles and sauce are out from a bag of pre-made noodles sold in supermarket... To be honest, when the food came out, it looked delicious! Though it's tucked away at the bottom of a hill near White Windmill, I somehow managed to come here for both lunch and dinner the other day--lunch with a friend whom was new to Altanta, dinner with my grandparents who come out when they don't want home-cooked food. Can you tell this is one of our go-to Korean restaurants... If you come here, you have to eat the boribap jung sik (barley bibimbap with dwen jang, bean paste, basically). It's savory and full of lots of healthy, yummy ingredients--so you don't have to feel guilty about indulging. The portions are huge, though, so don't feel weird taking home leftovers.
