The cake was also slightly sweet and had that slight outer crunch. The free chocolate cake donut was too old and dry for me to eat, but I can't complain about free. That's what we love about Pinkbox. You can get a regular donut anywhere, but these feel like somebody decided a donut should be an entire dessert experience. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute!
