I saw a video from a local food blogger and added Yo Mochi to my list of places to check out. I decided to stop in on a Sunday morning with my son. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. We looked at the menu and decided on two donut flavors to try. The cashier suggested we do a 3 pack to save a little bit of money which was a great suggestion and way to try another flavor. The ambiance in this place is so cool. Cartoon drawings of Pikachu, Kirby, and rappers are on the walls and they've got a couple of great spots with comfy chairs to take photos in front of. Even the Christmas tree is decorated with the cutest mochi donut ornaments. They play a nice mix of hip hop music and some songs gave me all the 90s hip hop throwback vibes from my childhood. In the back of the shop, there's a free arcade to play different games in. Again, throwing it back to my childhood with Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter as two of my faves. It was fun to eat our donuts and play games for a few minutes after. Now to the mochi donuts. We ordered one each of pink lemonade, strawberry shortcake, and crème brûlée. Okay, I was a little hesitant to try their ube vietnamese coffee cos most times ube dont really taste like ube or the flavor is very subtle. But I actually like their ube vietnamese coffee here, it wasn too sweet but can taste the ube. The mochi waffle was really good too, I can eat 5 of those babies. Yummmm about time we have mochi donuts in Henderson!! We don't really have one here and it's just genius you guys opened on at this side of town. I literally bought some to bring over to Chicago since my sister was craving it too. I got the matcha, cinnamon sugar, and pumpkin. I also got masaladas. We stopped by on our way from seven magic mountains to red rock canyon because we had heard from a Vegas local that this place was awesome and they weren't wrong! Checked out Yo Mochi on a random Friday night for the first time and I am super impressed! My boyfriend and I strolled in and we were greeted by the cool artwork and late 2000's/early 2010's pop music playing. Because we got there later in the night, they didn't have a whole lot of mochi doughnut selections left, but still enough to get one of everything in a box of 6. I believe the mochi doughnuts that they had available were churro, s'mores, peppermint, crème brûlée, and eggnog. I also got myself an ube hot chocolate. The lady who took our order told us that there was a small arcade in the back and that we were welcome to play for free while we waited for our order to come out. We played a Simpsons arcade machine for about 10 or so minutes until our order was ready. Other arcade machines that I saw were Mortal Kombat and NFL Blitz. The arcade room was small so our selection was pretty limited. Our mochi doughnuts came in a cute box shaped like a little boombox. The ube hot chocolate, which was topped with whipped cream and had a big marshmallow inside, had this very pretty purple color to it. It was perfect to cozy up on my couch with this drink in my hand. Out of all the mochi doughnuts that we got, I think my favorites were the s'mores and the churro. My boyfriend's favorite were the s'mores and the peppermint, commenting that both were super good. My mind changed after this visit. I noticed several options of donuts to choose from and the menu was very simple to understand. Checked out this place after being recommended from a friend. I love that they have a flavor menu that rotates out every Monday. I got the combo 6 pack that you could mix and match between mochi donuts and mochi malasada's. I got the ube mochi malasada to compare with Zippy's mochizada's back home and I honestly prefer the mochi malasada's at Yo Mochi. They had a variety of leftover donuts (mind you it was 7:00 when we picked up) and we got a bunch of fried left over dough with NO toppings , fillings, etc. Why advertise "variety mochi donut box" when we just got screwed over with PLAIN fried dough. Inside is super cool, with cartoon portraits of the most influential rappers in hip hop. I heard there is a small free arcade in the back but, I didn't see it on my visit. Inside There are a few tables, a couple of chairs and benches, as well, to sit and relax. Yo Mochi serves mochi donuts, mochi malasadas, mochi waffles on a stick and thai tea and drinks. I was super excited to try the mochi malasadas!! Mochi and malasadas are $2.85 a piece or you can do a mix and match combo 3 for $8, 6 for $14 and 12 for $25. Service was super friendly and fast. I chose to order pineapple tajin and raspberry glazed mochi donuts and a single OG malasada (not filled). They have filled malasadas with chocolate and ube, but I'm not into filling personally. The mochi donuts were good, a little artificial flavor tasting though. The star was the Mochi Malasada. It was chewy, light, and perfection! Would recommend takeout only if you have kids and NOT staying- and here's why- even though it appears to be kid friendly with the free games and $1 claw machines, they are blasting expletive rap music. We were big fans of the filled since it added a bit more sweetness, but if you're traditional, the plain would be your best bet! When you arrive inside, it is cool and there is plenty of seating including cushy chairs as well as tables and popular rap songs is playing at an appropriate volume for the size of the place. There are cool illustrations on the wall featuring rap stars. The boxes that the donuts come in look like boomboxes and are incredibly well designed for taking photos of them. Staff was very friendly but seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by the customer base there. There isn't really a clean delineation as to where the end of the line was. I had to wait about 45 minutes in line. As for the taste, the donuts are chewy and soft with an appropriate amount of glaze. What a delight! I've had Mochi donuts before but this place just nails it. SOOOO much better than that box o' pink down the street. First off, their management is amazingly friendly and welcoming. Incredible service - full stop. They have a delicious rotating selection of Mochi Donuts, Mochi Malasadas and Mochi Waffles (flavors come and go on Mondays) and if you haven't had one before, you'll fall in love with the Mochi texture. It has a certain chew and give to it, similar to biting down on a marshmellow and it's unbelievably tasty. We got Ube, Churro, Strawberry, and Matcha Oreo donuts but the Malasadas were to die for as well. The thing worth mentioning about the Malasadas are that they're not typical, say, like you might get at Leonards in Honolulu. Those are amazing for sure, but the Mochi component makes for an equally delicious "cousin" of what you might be used to but again, with that Mochi texture that is completely unique. We had chocolate filled Malasadas which were filled with what seemed like a generous amount of chocolate pudding, and an Ube with some purple creamy goodness that would have made Prince proud. A week earlier, I had stopped in and they had Honeydew on the Mochi Malasada menu and that was delicious as well. As I mentioned, flavors will come and go but I'm hopeful that they continue to bring fruit flavors to the mix as I could imagine that Mango, Guava, POG and some other Hawaiian inspired flavors might appeal to the community and I appreciate the citrus pairing with the Mochi sweetness. In any event, this is an easy 5 stars. By the way, it's hiding in the back but there is a retro gaming area where you can NBA Jam to your hearts content while you wait. Well done!! The free arcade in the back is a bonus, although I didn't get to play as there were a couple of people already in there. The workers were super friendly and made a fresh batch of mochi donuts and malasadas. I must say my fave was the malasadas. Brought back fond memories of Hawaii, but with a Vegas twist. Great combo. IMHO, they are better if you eat them hot and fresh. Don't get me wrong, they are still delicious if you take them home, but even better if you eat them hot. The malasadas had me hooked, because I was not a fan of the OG malasadas, but this one had me finishing two! The quality of the Mochi items, donuts and malasadas were still amazing 30+ hours after me leaving the store. We also tried the boba cookies and cream taro mix, it was also great! Inside, was clean and fresh. Staff was truly accommodating by letting us know their BoGo special. The fun and modern decor was such a vibe. When you approach the back, they have arcade machines where you can coin-operate it to pick-up plushies! They limited flavors half of the flavors of the mochi donuts. On top of the place saying its fresh, our mochi donuts was really hard and stale. If you want mochi donuts I'd recommend paina cafe. The mochi corn dogs were terrible also. We asked for half hot dog and cheese, there were at least 80% of cheese and only 20% of the hot dog.
