Me after two babies
Kate G.

My absolute favorite place! Yoga hell is not just a yoga studio, it's a community I started coming Here a few years ago before my first pregnancy. Now after two babies in two years, I am in the best shape of my life at 41! For me, it's a mind, body and soul connection. I do the inferno hot Pilates 4-6 days a week. All the teachers are INCREDIBLE! If your looking to get the best workout of your life and be surrounded by a kind, loving and supportive community yoga hell is the place for you!

This place is my new happy place! I love the vibes and the atmosphere. The staff are all very welcoming and motivating! They are truly knowledgeable and eager to teach. The variety in each class is great. They have something for everyone level. I always leave feeling amazing. The studio is well taken care of and they have showers there of you're on the go. I would highly recommend!

Yoga hell is WELCOMING. Come in, try a class and then come back again. Everyone welcomes you regardless of your experience and skill level. This is the best part of my experience because they remind you that this is a practice and every day will be a little bit different.

The owner, Heather, has created an authentic container for community and transformation, offering space for growth that extends far beyond the physical practice. There is nothing accidental about finding yourself on your mat at Renew. The distressed hardwood floors and cracks in the walls reflect our shared imperfections, while the beautiful murals speak to boundless existence and unity beyond duality. From Kirtan-led classes with Shane to events that invite recognition of the soul through dance and energy, the entire studio experience is rooted in depth and connection. Nestled on the second floor of a storied building in the heart of downtown Petaluma, Renew is not a place to be missed--it is where peace, community, and transformation meet. It is a space where pain, laughter, triumphs, and struggles are welcomed equally by teachers and facilitators alike. If you live in Petaluma or are visiting, it's well worth stopping in for a class or event!

The studio is upstairs from Old Chicago on Petaluma Blvd. Heather curates a stunning space from entrance to yoga room. There is a 10,000 Buddhas mural by Amanda Giacomini that is a gift to sit under. I find it easier to be present practicing amongst the beautiful crystals sprinkled throughout with a wood floor and sky lights. The sound system allows teachers to use a microphone so it is easy to hear. The majority of the classes for flow focused, but many offerings to adapt for your preference. I hope you get to enjoy a class here.

Blue Door is my relaxing reset palace that prepares me for every week before I take on my crazy,…read morehigh-stress job. At Blue Door, I'm able to mentally, emotionally, and physically reset. I usually do a yoga class and then relax in Jesi's (the owner) chai and chat corner to get my social fix. Then, other weekends I get a facial after a yoga class. The facials are stellar and like a massage for your face that feels like a meditation session. The Eminence skin care products Jesi has selected for her studio are a game changer. I have only been using Emminence products at home now, and they're the only thing that don't make my skin breakout. Overall, I have been going to Blue door for 5 years now, and it has been the absolute best yoga and spa experience I've ever had. Make your way to Blue Door and you won't ever want to leave!

I can always find something that matches where I'm at in my wellness journey. Some days I need to slow down and reset with yoga, other times I want the strength and toning of barre or Pilates, and it's all available all in one place. The instructors are kind and knowledgeable, and create an environment that feels motivating and restorative. Yoga here is hands-down the best for cultivating that mind-body connection (turns out inner calm and outer wobble can coexist beautifully!). I really appreciate having such a well-rounded studio that lets me focus on whatever my mind and body need at the moment. Blue Door is a real gem

Overall, they are trying and doing a good job! Staff is great!…read more Getting into yoga classes is impossible, no classes for older adults, unfortunately. Sauna etiquette should really be enforced, please! People go inside fully dressed in shoes! Scrub and brush the hair! (hopefully someone vacuums there)

It is certainly the most upscale option in Petaluma. That said, I feel it going downhill, perhaps more objectionable given a recent price increase for all members and then a discount program with Kaiser ending at same time (not sure if is decision of latter or club). I put my back out a few months ago so after an absence, have been back a good bit mainly just using sauna and jacuzzi. Phones have infiltrated both. No exaggeration. It would be an exception in my last 6 visits to not encounter someone on their phone in the (male) sauna. Literally there yesterday and a guy was playing music and scrolling. Guy next to him scrolling. This sort of thing seems to constantly happen at all my recent visits. I don't get it and there appears to be no checks or enforcement. I likely wouldn't mind so much if someone is quietly scrolling (though how the phone takes it, I don't know), but it is often someone watching a game on tenderhooks and reacting or listening to music which tends to leak out earphones if they are nice enough to even use them. It is stressful for other members and an invasion of privacy potentially. It is also sad that everyone is so addicted, they can't stop for even 15 mins. Game you want to watch? Go to a bar. Can't stop scrolling? Get some help from counselor or rehab! A new one 4 nights ago was out in jacuzzi. It is common for people to have their phones lying right next to jacuzzi, which they check occasionally. There was a guy (with earbuds in), phone propped up, watching some sort of cryptocurrency YouTube channel. We could all watch along. Distracting and annoying. Kids (under the age allowed) are again frequently coming into jacuzzi too. The parents always shrug sheepishly like they have no control, if they bother to acknowledge everyone's glares at all. I don't say anything as it is not my job to enforce, tempting as it is. It feels like the sheer number of people is now too high. I simply cannot get in to some classes unless I time it to hit apply within a few mins of booking opening. Still a nice gym and health club, but the relaxing benchmark feels like it is dipping low and not what I expect at $120 a month. I would ask management to consider if they received similar feedback and to act on enforcing (or create) rules around phone use and to reestablish boundaries in areas intended for adults.
