Such an amazing first trip. Our site location was perfect. Close enough to access the amenities and far enough away to avoid most of the traffic. Our site was clean and all hook ups worked perfectly. We also opted to rent a golf cart (definitely a plus). The water park was so great! So much fun with the family. A park associate (Dani) helped us out with our poolside cabana. Great rides, water features and a swim up bar. The snack bar food was really good and worth the cost. The Ranger Station was fully stocked and the staff is very friendly. Great for grabbing those little things you may have forgot. Fishing was a hit. We geared up for big mouth bass and pulled them with ease. Mornings were the most active. Lots of dogs and ours made some new fur friends. We went during Halloween festivities and everyone loved it. The park went all out with a haunted trail and everyone trick or treated. Costume and decoration contests for those who prepared (we did not). Next time we will. Overall an amazing experience for the whole family. This is a really well maintained and welcoming place to bring your family and friends. read more

We just got back from a quick trip to Jellystone in Waller. So much fun, so many things to do with kids. We're already planning our trip back (when it's warmer!) We rode all over on our bikes and constantly had stuff to do. The staff were all so helpful and kind. Many things seemed to be upgraded. Reading the reviews made me nervous and almost cancelled our trip but I'm so glad we came to see for ourselves. Our cabin was fun and definitely gave camping vibes. Definitely bring linens, towels, and hand soap since they do not provide those. One thing I wish they had was bath mats since that would gross me out to bring home. Poorly maintained campground! This is the 2nd time I have been there and it is the last time. I scratched the side of my motorhome because of low overhanging limbs and tight areas on their roads going to our camping spot that they assigned. I couldn't pull through and "pull through" spot because of trees in the way. If they don't have enough respect for their customers expensive RVs to maintain clear pathways then they don't need my business. Also their camp spots were full of ant piles! read more

Worst place ever!! Beware! Scam! We made a reservation at the Waller Texas Jellystone for spring break week. Evidently it was a different spring break week than we had. Therefore, all of the water activities and children's activities. This was not on their website when I made the reservation. They sent me a link to purchase a children's pass. Which I did. Then they called me to inform me. Activities are closed. Yet they would not refund my money for the trip at all. No credit no refund nothing it's a scam. Where to start. Their park was hit by a storm and was messed up last week. However, they were not forthcoming with this information and canceled on everyone at the last minute ruining our memorial day. Silly me decided to give them another chance and rebooked the following weekend just to find out that repairs are not complete but they have opened the park anyways. After finding out that two of the attractions my kids were most interested in will not be open. I called to get a credit or a refund so that we could come back when the park is fully functioning and they are refusing to do so. Beware! They are not family first & their customer service is lacking greatly. They can cancel on you at their leisure with 0 concessions however you can't cancel on them, even when they are at fault & failing to provide the services paid for. read more

Rented a two bedroom cabin for 4 adults and 3 children for $308 for 1 nite. Very disappointed with amount paid for the cabin, for that amount I was expecting something more upscale. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, outdoor fire pit but no grill. Temperatures dropped to the 40's while we were there. I woke up 3am to turn on the heater and no heat. It was very cold in the cabin. I reported the issue 9am next morning (that's when they open). Maintenance staff said someone forgot to turn on a circuit breaker. You would think they would have a check list of things to check in the cabin before it is rented out. I asked for a credit, they said they would submit my request and get back with me. I have yet to hear from anyone at Jellystone and from reading the reviews I will be surprised if I get anything. If I do come back I will just do the day pass. January is not a good time to stay at Jellystone unless you want to stay indoors and do nothing. We did meet some friendly staff members, Juan, Esme, Mike with maintenance and the young lady that drives the tractor train. Overall this place could be nicer if everything wasn't so expensive, but of course we do this for our kids and grand kids. read more

We loved the water park and all the Amenities the park has to offer along with the cabin , we where able to fit us 5 in one of them perfectly. This was a return visit for us and somewhat disappointing this time. The toilets at the water park were disgustingly filthy. The dog park was very much overgrown and full of poop. The poop bag dispenser had places for multiple rows of bags, but it was completely empty. People had been letting their dogs go, but not picking up after them. We were also bitten by ants and saw wasps within. I reported the condition of the dog park and was told maintenance had other priorities so it would be a while before anything could be done. Clearly, it hasn't been a priority for quite a while. It's still a favorite place to go with kids due to the many activities, but the park could make some badly needed improvements. read more

while looking at the website, you will see all of these amenities that they have. They do have them, but the condition that they are in is misleading. For instance, when it shows you the mini golf picture on the website, it looks really nice, however, it is completely torn up. You can't even play because your ball in the . Also, the pedal boat picture looks nice as well, but they are in terrible condition and the canopy that goes over them are all torn up and hanging in the water. The arcade looks cute in the pictures. But there are holes in the wall that they've allowed the kids to tear it up. There was never a movie showing outdoors at that "theater". read more

Well, here we go...... First off, we have been Waller Yogi Park fans for 20+ years. Been out many times camping and in a cabin as we were this year. I am a homebuilder and have always mentioned Waller Yogi Bear Park when I meet new homeowners that have kids and enjoy the outdoors. This year was not a success. We rented the one of the bigger cabins checking in Thursday 10/24, checked out Monday 10/28, cabin 431. Here are some gripes: 1) Pool not open past 6 (5 on Sunday). 2) No staff walking the pool area to see how all was going (we rented a cabana too). We did see a staff member on Sunday when there were virtually no people there though. 3) Our cooktop was a piece of junk. One burner was missing a cap piece so it didnt work. The others you had to turn just right for it to light and then there was no flame control, either on or off. 4) WAY too many bike riders/scooters after dark. The rules page specify no bikes allowed after dark. Very very few had lights. Who was there to enforce? Did anyone care? 5) No organization at the glow stick train ride. Everyone just bunched up, then it was a run off to who got on the train. No clear line, no direction by staff. 6) no outdoor movie. It was kind of funny, we called on Saturday asking about this and were told that there was a movie that played Friday (we were told it was at 9:00...hmmm, with a 10:00 curfew?). Our cabin was right down from the outdoor theater, nothing played. No movie Saturday night. 7) Used to have announcements made over a loudspeaker. Know this has been gone for years, figure it out, bring it back. It was great to let everyone know verbally what was coming up and where Yogi was going to be sighted. 8) Pizza used to be AWESOME! Think it was handmade, now it is some premade garbage. Guess like everything else, corporation takes over and finds cheapest for profits. 9) Ice Cream at activity center not open Saturday. This we called on. We were told they were not sure if open Sunday (it wasnt) and had no idea who to call or find out. 10) On the sheet everyone is given, how about adding times everything is open....'front desk', pool, food, gift store, activity center, ice cream, etc. 11) Our remote control at the cabana was picked up at 3:30 on Sunday, yeah, we probably were not going to watch TV but really? 12) This is a good one.....Sunday about 3:00, we decided to drive our pickup and park at the pool. There were no golf carts their, very, very few people even there. I was approached at our cabana by a pool staff (incredible they were there), and asked if it was my truck parked there. I responded yes and then was told I had to move it. I was going to but I went to the woman at the eatery and asked for a manager. She said she was pretty much it. I explained the situation and she said not to worry and leave truck. I would LOVE to send you the pictures I took of my truck in the lot. R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!!!!!!! 13) My sister stayed in a cabin on the lake and rented a golf cart. She had to turn the cart in early as the battery wouldnt take a charge! 14) Icing on the cake......Sunday night as we slept, we heard something scratching at the vents on the floor. Our 3 Grandchildren all heard and we played it down way too early when they woke up. One of the Granddaughters was sleeping in front room, our other 2 were in the mid room and we stayed in the back room. The one staying in the front was saying how loud they were and again, we downplayed it. Our room got so loud, I finally got up and looked at the vent and the darn thing was moving (starting to pop up). Looking at the front room, the vent there was actually popped off! We ended up taking the bar stools, turning them upside down and putting them on all the vents. I do have some video I can share of this too (tried attaching here but dont think it works...can see the animal in the vent). Bottom line, I look at this Yogi Bear park as a low budget Disney. I expect service, expect things to be operational, expect communications, expect great service. This place fell way short in all aspects. The park looks like it is falling apart. We paid 1500.00 for our 4 days. As packed as the park was, can only imagine the money made on this weekend and all weekends in October. Might be good to open the coffers and spend some money taking care and updating things. Bring back the life of the park that used to be there. I told my wife after this visit, I will no longer recommend Yogi to the people I build for. We already decided to go a much cheaper route next year. We will just dress up the place we are staying in Halloween theme, buy 3 $25.00 bags of candy to give each of our Grandchildren and we will be so far ahead. A real shame because every year, we talk about Halloween at Yogi. We need a break. Hope you fix the problems. This is only some. Like I said, its a far cry from the way it used to be. read more

Short notice we came just to leave town for w few days. Have a 2 yr old. Water park good for her and bigger kids. New swim up bar. Mike was awesome!!!! Bigger slides still tame for kids. All staff I met was really nice and trying to have fun too. Cabin on water was nice and new. Fishing. Movie night. Lots of activities. Highly recommend. We were so excited for spend a few days here with our family of 4 and pup for 4th of July weekend since it was close to home. Stupid us. We rented a cabin for 8. The cabin was nice overall but I can almost guarantee no one is coming in to clean after each guest like they say. I know it's Texas summer, but man, there were spiders, spider webs, and bugs galore. The floors were disgusting. The hot water in the shower lasted 20 seconds at a time. Was it worth the $300+ a night? Definitely not!! Pretty sure there was poop stuck on the wall next to the tiolet. Parking at the cabins is an issue. We couldn't leave freely when we wanted because the cabins next to us each had 2 cars plus golf carts. They parked right in front of our truck! Trapped us in. What is it with inconsiderate people these days? The list of policies and rules Yogi Bear has are a joke, at least here. No one follows them and no enforcement. Drunks everywhere. Not that I'm not for fun, but on a busy weekend like this, it was insane and so any type of enforcement on limitations would have improved things. Only policy they're stuck on following through on is their cancellation or date change which is lame. You spend all this money and they don't let you do a simple thing change the date of your reservation. Bad customer service policy on their part in my opinion. But that's what we signed up for when we reserved, right? The employees, well, you can come to your own conclusion on how hard they work. Poor young kid cleaning the restrooms and showers was on his cellphone while doing his job. Touching his phone with the same gloves he was cleaning the restrooms with. Yuck. On the up side, they have lots of activities for kids and the water park was worth while despite it being incredibly crowded. Overall the kids had fun so that is what mattered. Would we spend over $1000 for a 3 night stay again? Heck no. Maybe we will get an RV. read more

We had such a fun filled weekend (May 2023)!!!!! I think we managed to do everything! Swimming, fishing, pedal boats, bubble dance party, painting ceramics and coloring a shirt, musical chairs, and movie nights!!! What more could you ask for?! Activities center staff is unbelievably horrible. If you ever need anything or have any questions that's the least place to go to.I felt ignored by the staff, and when I brought up my concerns, they were dismissive.Horrible experience with cabins. Dirty,smelly,etc. Managers are always concerned about the wrong thing. The atmosphere was not welcoming, and I left feeling frustrated. We had a blast! Juan and Kimberly were extremely courteous and helpful during our stay. They checked on us and made sure we didn't need anything while at the pool. My husband and I stayed in a cabin and my son and his family stayed in their RV. The cabin was comfortable. You can rent their linens but I opted to bring my own. The problem I.. we as a family of 22 who came to Yogi Bear. Our 4th year. We found out who ever took over as manager... well...not very good! The grounds looked horrible! The grass needed cut and the overall sight had a lack of care. The main feature was not working properly the water slide on the biggest weekend of the year! 4 out of the 7 cabins we rented had roaches and bugs, poor plumbing or poor grounds. We'll be back because it's the only place where so many of us can get together for family fun...if the was another place we properly switch! Yogi...do better!! read more

I made an overnight reservation after searching for a fun place to stay with my kids. The app listed so many activities! $265 was a reasonable price for the amenities. It was a small cabin, and clearly stated, bring your own linens, which we did. Still not upset about the price because of the attractions at the resort and grounds. Well, everything was closed. Pool, slides, paddle boats, snack bar and food options. I couldn't even find a cup of coffee the next morning. I expressed my concerns at the desk at check out, and they assured me someone would contact me. Nope. They stole my money and lied. If you have good memories of this place, I think they are over. It appears it's been bought out by foreign investors that are unscrupulous. So sad. read more

We had a blast for a family weekend vacation! The place is nice and there's lots of activities for all ages. We stayed in a cabin. It's pretty on the inside and well stocked. The lazy river was calm and not too crazy. My little loved the slides! We drove the golf cart everywhere... definitely recommend getting one. We also loved finding all the yogi bear statues to take pictures with. Booboo was super sweet to my screaming toddler who was terrified of him. The little arcade doesn't have much but a good random activity. However, the staff needs training desperately. No one seems to ever have an answer to anything. The water park staff does absolutely nothing. Pretty sure one was asleep at one point. They each give you different rules when it comes to the slide and lazy river. So who really knows what's suppose to happen. Nothing opened on time as you watched staff doing their own thing as lines formed then gave you a million excuses as to why they couldn't be open yet. If the staff was actually trained and doing their job well this place would be PERFECT! We hope to return soon & hope that the staff is improved. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I was extremely disappointed in my family's trip here. Based on my experience, Management seems to care only about money and NOT their customers. The cabin we were given was completely unacceptable especially considering the high nightly rate demanded. It was both dirty and had very noticeable deferred maintenance. There were EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRES; hot water alternated quickly and frequently between hot and freezing cold; dirty floors (sticky), doors, fan blades (that had very clearly not been cleaned in a long time), and kitchen; dirty and stained patio; holes and breaks in the master bedroom door; broken security door lock; broken TV remote with missing buttons and electrical tape holding it together; and a front door 1/2" gap open to outside at the bottom. I noticed most of these things only after dark because my family was outside playing right after arriving. I called the Front Desk but they had already left for the day. The front desk did offer to move us to a cheaper cabin the next morning but I also informed them I expected some kind of refund for the 1st night because had I known the state of it I never would have booked at all. The General Manager Joe was supposed to be in touch with me but has yet to contact me weeks later and after multiple attempts at contacting him. Its a shame because I would have left a good review if Management had attempted in anyway to right the wrong but instead customer service was neglected and this customer ignored by Management. Management seemingly does not value this customer, therefore, my family and I will never be back. read more

Just returned from a Memorial Day/Summer kickoff weekend with friends and had a blast!! Fortunately we went with amazing people that were able to distract us from the drastic decline of this park! For starters the overgrown knee high grass in the dog park is out of line! Cut the grass please, it's not that hard. I'm not going to go into all the closures because although a HUGE inconvenience to paying customers, I understand that it might be out of park employee control, so I won't speak on them. My main concern is the issue that we had with the golf kart!! After spending nearly $500 to rent a golf kart for 3 nights (more than the camp sight cost btw), we get a cart that should have never been rented and needs to be taken out of service!!! As soon as you turned the key on the kart it takes off and when you try to hit the break it accelerates! My son almost was thrown off the back, our friends 60+ year old mother was thrown off and hit a tree, and the kart slammed into the camper causing significant damages! After this, you would assume immediate action was taken right...? Instead we spent 45 mins proving that were weren't lying/making the story up! The guy finally apologized after literally running my leg over with the front tire of the kart after he turned the key and it took off. We were then given a smaller kart that could not accommodate my family so we had to split up and take turns the rest of the stay! In case you were wondering, no credit, refund, or voucher! Please clean the pool/lazy river, that lazy river had a brown tent to it and so much debris floating in it. Please arrange a timely trash extraction! It's extremely disgusting and disrespectful to charge someone to stay next to a heaping pile of fly covered garbage that is clearly visible over the 8 foot fence. Please properly inspect the cart for the safety of everyone. And finally, please don't respond with the same pointless message that "you are sorry and that you strive for costumer satisfaction, if that was truly the case you guys would have done that already seeing as my complaints aren't new. There are similar reviews from over a year ago about amenity closures, overgrown grass, trash overflow/smell, and customer service. read more

Wow. Such a disappointment, not sure where to start. -lazy river was filthy: ants, wood chips, other debris -bathrooms are atrocious. They smell terribly. Back part of the campgrounds only had 2 working toilets for so many camp sites -front registration lady Carol was so rude. She was scolding a guest when we arrived -campsites are super tiny -so many things out of order -"pool attendant" who sits on lifeguard chair and are not life guards was literally sleeping - 1 of 2 big slides not working Sadly, this experience has totally tainted jelly stone for us read more

Pros: Close to our home, A/C works great, fridge is big, coffee machine, toaster, gas stove were good.The food at the concession stand by the pools is very reasonably priced ($15 for Pizza, Drink and Fries) Cons: A little pricey for our stay. We found 2 roaches in our cabin throughout our 3 night stay. When we booked our reservation it didn't offer us to get sheets, so we didn't have any to start with. At the water amenities, it was extremely overcrowded on Saturday, Sunday was perfect except it ended up raining. The cabins are a little outdated. No one told us about the app, we found out about it through another We stayed at Yogi Bear in Kerrville TX a couple of summers ago and I think I'm comparing it to that so I just assumed this location was going to be just as amazing... but it wasn't :( Even with it being close to home, we probably will not be returning. read more

My family has been going to the Waller Jellystone for 12 years. We go 2 to 3 times a year. A few years ago I would have given 5 stars all around, but since the change in management everything is going downhill. The prices on everything has been raised astronomically. They have added more paid activities and less free ones. The dog park is never mowed and the trash can is overflowing. It's always under construction. There is never anyone patrolling the park and enforcing rules. And the biggest disappointment is that they are putting stipulations on rentals in some months. For instance all weekends in October must be 3 nights reservations AND you can not leave on a Sunday. read more
