Great lunch spot . Staff is friendly and serves decent portions of food . The Rasta pasta is amazing and you can add a meat option . With the mini option you can choose just about anything, it's a great lunch option because it's just enough to fill you without you feeling overstuffed . Seating is available inside .

Ugh yogis fell off. I payed 15$ for this small oxtail she gave me these pieces and the bottom of the tray was full of oil. Smh he's a friendly chef and his restaurants are well known but they definitely fell off

Hello everyone! I just want to start off by informing you that this review is based on my experience solely at Yogi's Restaurant which is now called Fortis Restaurant at this location. As of December 21, 2020 the name has been changed to Fortis Restaurant, and although my most recent visit was when the restaurant was named Yogi's, I would still enjoy sharing my experiences with you all in despite of the change. Yogi's has been one of many Caribbean restaurants I have tried in the years of being a Yelper, but was very new to me at the time. Also, being new to the neighborhood has led me here upon my crave for some Jamaican eats. I was mainly interested in the lunch specials they had available referred to as "minis." That day was my first time trying Yogi's and because I really didn't have a heavy appetite at the moment, I found this perfect for that just right satisfactory portion. The inside was set up as that of what I would describe as a small dine-in/takeout restaurant. The cashier was to the right of walking in followed by two high corner tables with bar style chairs on the left for eating in and drinking beers; which they served if you were of legal drinking age of course. Towards the back of the restaurant was the food that was displayed buffet style, but you couldn't serve yourself. All names of each dish was labeled right above so that you knew what you wanted to order in an instant. They offered the usual dishes that many are familiar with like stew chicken, oxtails, curry chicken, etc. There were also different varieties such as grilled salmon chunks, jerk wings, sweet chili wings, sweet chili shrimp, jerk chicken fried rice, and fried chicken. Both female servers were pleasant and moved quickly for the most part. The neighborhood is not the safest but most people usually got their food to go. I have tried the grilled salmon chunks, jerk wings (as pictured), fried rice, and curry chicken. My favorite, the jerk wings, were perfectly spiced without jerk sauce and baked well with slight crisp to the skin. The fried rice was oily and edible mainly with meat. The curry chicken was good, but a few times I found it tasted a bit bland as if it was lacking the curry spice. Last to mention the salmon chunks which was too salty, so much so, that I could not finish less than half a portion. I really did not expect the salmon to taste as it did because it looked really good and that was disappointing. I was reading other reviews and what sticks out the most is that it seems as though the quality of food at this location specifically declined over the years. Like I mentioned before hand, Yogi's was new to me at the time, so I cannot comment much on that part. I do however see that they were a staple in the neighborhood and favored by many. I do recommend trying their other location a few blocks down across from York College campus at 92-40c Guy R. Brewer, Queens, NY. They are a popular location and best known to have really good chicken soup and breakfast.

Brown stew chicken, Rasta pasta and cabbage

I came here after my mom bragged about her food last week from this place, so we went today so I could see what it was all about. I ordered the brown stew chicken, Rasta pasta and cabbage. This food did not disappoint!!! In fact it was delicious, the Rasta pasta has a lil spice to it and plenty of veggies like carrots, peas, green beans. The brown stew chicken was so flavorful and the cabbage was just as good with other veggies added to it as well. I will definitely be back for the oxtails next time.

This place has really good curry. It's a small establishment but the food is worth the visit. Their curry goat is tender.

    How is the Stewed Chicken?

The brown stewed chicken is good. It really has a nice taste to it. I love the taste of the gravy and it goes really well with the rice and peas and cabbage.

The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

The service was good "quick" as usual. We were met as we entered the restaurant by a female service however she had a mouth full of food. We ordered the Braised Short Rib and the Chicken Tagine. We received our food within just a few minutes no more than 7-10 minutes. Although there was steam coming off of the couscous the chicken was ice cold. It was obvious that my food had been simply thrown into a microwave. The couscous although hot it was overcooked and mushy. The chicken was warm on the bottom but extremely cold as I cut into it. The Short Rib dish had the same problem. The pasta was steamy hot but the rib was cold. I really don't have a problem eating cold beef, but I can't eat cold chicken. I would have sent my dish back however it was obvious that they weren't going to make a new dish I felt they would have just nuked it longer. If I wanted nuked food I could have picked up a frozen dinner at the grocery store. Go for the wine, not the food.

I got there early to snag a table, and the team was already hard at work with nearly the entire beergarden packed with fans. The hostess Jenna was an absolute rockstar all night - I don't think she stopped moving or smiling! Not only was she seating guests with poise and insane amounts of charm, but she was also running food and drinks to make sure guests weren't waiting for their orders - in fact, despite there being more than 250 people in the beergarden, we never waited more than 4 minutes for drinks and 12 minutes for food which is pretty impressive given how busy they were inside and outside. We were served by Lana, who legit might have been the nicest, friendliest, most engaging server I have ever met in New York City, and I am not being overly dramatic here. She handled her insanely large section with aplomb, took the time to actually learn our names and address us by names when asking if we wanted to order anything, checked in on us every few minutes even if we did not need anything, and despite likely being tired from all of the guests, the running of food and drinks, and the hustling, she was cracking jokes all night through her radiant and starry smile, and making our group feel like the most important people there despite the fact that we were just three regular dudes enjoying a basketball game. Her attentiveness and personality alone are worth requesting to sit in her section at all times. Food was solid on this trip - our table ordered a half-pound burger which was cooked and seasoned perfectly (came with fries and toppings), mozzarella sticks which were piping hot with a nice crunch on the exterior, waffle fries (had to get them again they were too good last trip), and honey BBQ wings, which although they weren't very meaty (not their fault since I am assuming they didn't butcher the wings in-house - could have just been a lean batch from the supplier), the sauce was addictive and delicious and I found myself dipping everything we ordered into it so it wouldn't go to waste - order the Honey BBQ! All beers came out cold and rapidly (Cobblestones uses plastic for half liter beers when the beergarden is saturated with guests, just be prepared for that - makes sense because of the volume). The rest of the staff was incredible given the chaos. Beergarden manager Pete made it a point to check in on us a couple of times and was very appreciative of all of the guests coming for the game, and you can tell he steers the ship effectively because everyone in the beergarden was focused, attentive, and in the zone during what many bars would be challenged to handle. One final thought - my two friends who came with me (who are NOT "let's go out drinking at night" type of guys) asked me when we are coming back for a Friday or Saturday night - they loved the atmosphere, loved the friendly service from Lana, and loved the food and drinks. The answer? very soon! Thank you Cobblestones!
