I can't remember the last time I've been to a Yogurtland since I only like sorbets, and most of the time they don't have it. They were doing a BOGO deal on a Friday earlier this month, so we stopped by an hour before they closed hoping to beat the crowd. When we arrived, the line spilled out into the parking lot. We waited about 30 minutes or so before we were inside. And of course they didn't have any sorbet, which was disappointing. I ended up getting fresh strawberry and chocolate raspberry truffle. Had high expectations for these flavors, but they just didn't hit the spot and wasn't as creamy as I thought it would be. I like the toppings more than the yogurt. Back when I worked in Union City, I used to pass this corner everyday. It was Saturday around 530pm, and this place was full of frozen yogurt (fro-yo) fans. The clerk welcomed me as soon as I walked in. This place features six fro-yo machines, that's 12 flavors, and some machines have swirl (twist) combo flavors. There's small tables inside, but no patio seating. I don't believe they had free samples, because I didn't see anyone "grazing" at the machines. The decor was the common Yogurtland design with greenish tile. There were no partitions in front of the machines. Hand sanitizer was available. June 2024: Price per ounce= 79 cents/ per oz. -tare weight is 0.6 oz (cup) I have reviewed 20+ frozen yogurt places in the SF Bay Area. The avg price right now is around .70-.79 cts per ounce. Yogurtland is great for fro-yo fans who have fun building their own frozen creations. You have six machines, and wet, dry, and liquid toppings. I tried- Pineapple Sorbet, Strawberry Mango, Strawberry, and Choco/ Vanilla Swirl. I added some Lychee Jelly, and some fruit flavored jelly balls. The frozen yogurt was very cold and refreshing. Very little or no chalky aftertaste. Very good fro-yo! FYI- Yogurtland is a self-serv, weigh and pay operation. You get charged by the weight. When I was at the counter, the clerk asked ...."is this for here or to go?" Why? Because some locations charge a service fee to eat inside. Overall, I had a great experience here. Very poor service here the people who work here I get are young but they barely help beyond ringing up. My rewards on my app wasn't working and i think the girl working there nearly had a breakdown when I asked for help with app. Also it seems messed up there's on,y one person working during hot busy days poor management from a customers point of view. The cashier welcomes people coming in, all the yogurt dispensers were working, the topping area was neat, the store appearance was being kept clean. It was my first time trying this place and it didn't disappoint. The frozen yogurt ice cream was delicious without being overly sweet and very light. They had a lot of flavors you can choose from and even more toppings. Most delightful Yogurtland. I usually don't expect any customer service at Yogurtland - a self-service chain. But this Yogurtland is different because Fred goes above and beyond. On a busy afternoon, Fred found our family a table, cleaned it, and ushered us to it. He chatted amiably with my son. He offered to build us a tab when he saw we could only serve our yogurts one at a time while juggling our kids. And when he heard we needed to change a diaper, he rushed to get us set up in the bathroom. All while attending to other customers cheerily and with alacrity. Limited seating inside and no outside seating if you come here with a group or kids. They have about 10 yogurt flavors to choose from and switch out flavors depending on season. This place is tucked into the Target parking lot. This place always is so clean and you feel comfortable serving yourself. I appreciate the hand sanitizer perfectly placed by the cups so people use it before they start. There is always one associate, she was attentive and sweet. Great service! I heard about the new milk tea frozen yogurt flavor, so I came to see if they had it at this location and they did! Unfortunately, Yogurtland does not give out sample cups anymore due to COVID so I had to purchase it to try it. The milk tea flavor was not very strong and more subtle. I also added some vanilla frozen yogurt to make it taste more milky and creamer which was a good combo. I also recommend the mochi topping as well for the "boba". The mochi was soft, not too sweet, and a great addition. The yogurt flavor stations are still self serve but the toppings are added by the cashier. The cost is $0.59 per ounce. I came here 15 minutes before closing. I walk in and was greeted by an employee and she asked me to please sanitize my hands, which I did. She asked me what size cup I wanted (with gloves) and off I went to get my frozen yogurt. I make it to the counter to get my toppings. The glass was so clean I thought there was nothing there! Toppings are covered with plastic wrap and plexiglass. You cannot serve yourself, the employees do it for you. The only thing that sucks is the flavors. Very basic selection. I don't know if it's because the change in seasons or that's all they have. The cran/raspberry is so gross it tastes like medicine! All the other flavors are fine. We had to come here on Valentine's Day since they have a deal that if you spend $10, you get a free giant red spoon. We've been here many times and always have good experience coming here. They have sample cups available in the front counter, you have to ask for it. I tried a couple of new flavors but it was too tarty for me so I stayed with my favorite combo, Pistachio and Taro. I always like the mango and strawberry popping boba and mochi balls. I like how this place is always clean, toppings are always stocked and kept neat and the lady that was at the counter on Valentine's night is very sweet and nice. With the price of .53 an ounce, it was not that difficult to get to $10 worth which is around 19 ounce. We got two cups and it was not even filled all the way to the top with fro-yo and toppings and we got to $10 worth easily. This was definitely a sweet treat for this special occasion since I really wanted the giant red spoon and just about everyone that came in that night, spent over $10 because we saw them get their free spoons.
