I love how generous they are with all of their scoops and sizing, you will really get your money's worth here. Parking is a bit tight and can be hard sometimes, so it's best to come on days and times that aren't peak hours. It's been a while since I've visited, but everything is just as good as I remember it. Only thing is they upped the single scoop price to $5.50-still an amazing deal, regardless! The position sizes are extremely generous and they take their time with their scoops. They have a huge selection of both classic and more interesting flavors, practically all of which are hits. My faves include the Banana Walnut (the BEST if you're a banana fan), Coconut Pineapple, & Toasted Almond. Sampled Pralines N' Cream today--that was fire as well. They do limit the samples to two per customer, so choose wisely. This ice cream spot is truly a gem. 10/10 will always recommend!!! read more

Best unique flavors include: Kahlua crunch and peppermint fudge. Mint Oreo krunch is good, very minty and you don't get too much Oreo flavor unless you actually get an Oreo chunk. I've been coming here since my youth. I was glad to bring my gf here to try it for the first time. There was a line even before the store opened. Clancy's is a wonderful ice cream spot! Hidden next to a 7/11, I stumbled upon this place while looking for homemade ice cream in the area. Be prepared for the line to almost always be out the door, but it moves fast and is definitely worth the wait. They have what seems like 40+ flavors at all times, and we haven't tried one we didn't like. It's also only $5.50 per scoop, which is super affordable for the portion you get. I am so glad to find this hidden & classic gem. My brother introduced me to this joint and it's one of the go to whenever I am back to the bay. They serve classic flavors but good quality ice cream and big portion too. As much as I love ice cream I can only get small or split scoops because they are generous scoops. This place is great! Fast and friendly service, we picked up two take home quarts. The guy was so patient with my indecisiveness of what flavor I wanted. Even when I changed my mind AFTER we paid, he still switched them out for me. Was in the neighborhood and wanted ice cream, but didn't want to drive all the way to Fenton's. The ice cream here was very meh -- not super soft and just not that great. The only things I liked were the portion size and the price. I paid $4.00 for a kids size, which was actually pretty big for me. 5/10 The service was nice and helpful. The ambiance is okay, but the shop is super small with no seating. Overall, I wouldn't come here again. I only stopped by because I didn't want to drive to Oakland, but after trying it, I'd rather just go to Fenton's. read more

All of you who have come from TikTok. The legends are true, we are trying to gatekeep this little ice cream parlor. Mainly because it is the best ice cream parlor in the entire city. Imagine living in the area, and you want to indulge in your favorite flavor, but then 20 people show up, forming a line when you wanted. A quick in and out adventure. Plus you can't beat the shakes or sundaes either. They also have limited time ice creams depending on season and holidays. This place often has a line out the door-- and for good reason! There are a plethora of flavors, the portions are so generous, reasonably priced, service is friendly, and you feel happy vibes all around between the staff and clearly regular customers. I would be here more often if it was closer to home! It shares a few parking spots with a gas station, or you can park on the street, or across the street at the library. read more

1 scoop? MORE LIKE 3! It's a big ass scoop for a decent price. I think it's like 6 dollars? The workers are really kind, and I had NO IDEA that you could taste or get 2 separate flavors in one. How have I managed to live in San Leandro nearly my entire life and not make it out to Clancy's until I was 34 years old? I don't know, but what matters is that I finally did and I realized what I've been missing all these years. I was definitely aware of Clancy's growing up, I just never went there. There are a *lot* of flavors on the menu, which doesn't include the seasonal ones that switch in and out throughout the year. Unfortunately, it seems like the classless must have caused some issues with abusing samples in the past, because each guest is limited to only two samples. That's a LITTLE lame, given the sheer number of flavors available (especially for first-time guests trying to figure out which flavor they want), but I understand it and can't blame them for wanting to hedge losers who will just come in for endless free samples and walk out without buying anything. I went with a scoop of the banana nut and was a happy camper. Creamy, banana-y, not too sweet, and a seriously big scoop. One flavor I HAVE to go back for was, I believe, cardamom pistachio, which was absolutely delicious. Frankly, there are a lot of flavors I'll be returning for. I dropped by in the early evening with my brother and two of his friends, and while there were a few other people in the shop when we walked in, there wasn't a line out the door, which can apparently happen on hot days. Favorite local ice cream parlour. Consistently good ice cream flavors including classics and seasonals. My go-to will always be coffee as I am a huge coffee cream lover & my partner always gets mint chip. Ironically only have one photo but you can't go wrong with Clancy's ever. Super inexpensive, huge scoops, great workers, tucked away next to the Asian plaza and 7/11. Family owned and always a nice atmosphere year round. read more

I am so lucky to live next to the best ice creamery's around! Their service is always friendly, they have the best flavors, and you get gigantic portions!!!! If you decide to stop by always look at their unique seasonal flavors. I recently went back here and tried out their Banana split and it was perfect. $11.99 for 3 scoops of ice cream with a bunch of toppings. If you grew up in the San Leandro area, then you know Clancy's- your classic mom and pop neighborhood ice cream shop! I stopped by with friends on a Saturday night and of course there was a line. It's definitely a no frills place and nowhere to sit but they've got a good selection of flavors and their scoops are huge. Okay, I am not sure what I missed or what "mood" I was in the first I went here ( see my last review);but upon further inspection - a LONG overdue return visit, I revise my previous wimpy 3 star and replace it with a robust 5 stars! The flavors are amazing and they make their own wet walnut topping!! The bang to buck ratio for Clancy's is actually unbeatable. I had a great time going here to try ice cream after being on my "want to go" list forever. The store was roomy with lots of flavors for us to try. Our server was so sweet and helped us try samples and give recommendations based on what we liked. We placed our order and it was a MASSIVE scoop for only $4!! I got pineapple coconut and I love how there were chunks of fruit inside. I would definitely come back and try more! read more

When it comes to the combination of unique flavors, affordability, and generous portions, there's very few ice cream shops that can rival Clancy's. We've been coming here for the past few years since we learned about it and it never disappoints. The vibe here is the first thing that I point to: often there will be a long line out the door and because there are usually only 2 people working it might take a bit, but don't be alarmed because that wait will be worth it. You will quickly see that this spot brings together locals from all walks of life and the folks who patron this establishment are incredibly friendly, especially during a brisk evening waiting for some amazing ice cream. The inside is pretty tight, especially with how popular it can get. You will see a whole array of sorbets and ice creams along the perimeter with staff letting folks try up to 3 flavors each, which I recommend you take up on the offer because while they have some classic flavors like vanilla, rocky road, and mint chocolate chip, they have a ton of interesting creations such as macapuno, spumoni, and heath bar crunch. Their sundaes and milkshakes are also great options to blend some of these flavors and/or get some great toppings like caramel/fudge/nuts/whipped cream. The prices are really great with 1-3 scoop options between $6 and $10 but the caveat being that the scoops are LARGE. We have gotten a 2 scoop to-go and it lasted me and my girlfriend 4-5 different servings. The bang for your buck is unparalleled here. The only downside here is that it is located in a strange part of San Leandro where you have to go through multiple residential streets after you come off the freeway in order to reach the shop, and it isn't in the most well lit area especially at night so any through traffic is a bit of an adventure to make sure you get there in one piece. Also there is very little parking here as it shares a tiny lot with 7 Eleven so you might have to park on the tiny neighborhood streets or cross the street from the other restaurants around. read more

Clancy's Ice Cream is located in the heart of the Manor area - they are tucked in the corner next to 7-11 with very limited shared parking. This is a local (not so hidden) gem and you could tell by the line out of the door almost every night, even when it is freezing cold, raining, or in the wintertime. So much flavors to choose from for a small little shop. I have been coming here for almost 2 decades and the ice cream quality and quantity has been always excellent, and they managed to keep the price low (about $5 for a single scoop) all these years. Not sure if they sold off the shop or changed management, but the aesthetics has been upgraded to more modern, instead of the old ice cream shop feel and there are more younger people working instead of the owner / older gentleman. Lately, in the past year or so - I feel like the quantity and price has managed to stay about the same, but the quality has been hit or miss - some days, the ice cream tastes better than other days. read more

Clancys Ice Cream is founded by a young couple from Sacramento who decided to call San Leandro their home in 1976. In a short few years the acquired Clancys Ice Cream and became known as Mr. And Mrs. Clancys. Today it is still family owned and ran by the family who loves ice cream as much as they love San Leandro. Thank you for the generous support from the community clancys is still going strong. For some reason I forgot which email is for our yelp business profile. I do apologize to the people reading this, this 100% one of the owners of Clancy's Ice Cream responding. This is regarding the previous yelp review from Kenny about our "fake" Funko Pops. First of all, we are sorry you had a bad experience here. But there are some very simple things to point out. We gave you a discount even when we didn't have to ($20 off). It wasn't because its fake, its because its been sitting there for a few years so I decided why not, take a little hit and get it sold. Its a very niche movie and character. Not everyone can appreciate it especially for the price. So since you bought it I hoped you were happy knowing you got yourself a super rare character/pop, not to mention how cool she looks with the bloody eyes and big ball chain she was holding, or so I thought... Secondly, we let all our customers inspect the pop(s) before they buy it, so you know exactly the item you plan to purchase, no shady business there. We don't grab another one from the back, the one you see is the one you get. Simple as that. No discrepancies there. Upon asking for your refund, my wife mentioned that you barged in 10-15 minutes before we were suppose to open because you felt so strongly that we lied to you about pop, and she still let you in. How do you think anyone would feel when it's not time to open yet and you just step in and accuse us first thing when we open? Please have some human compassion. The last and most important point. ITS NOT FAKE. I can't stress this enough. So I don't understand what method(s) you use to verify these but I have very clear evidence that I will show you in the pics below. First pic is the pop we have after you returned it to us. Second image is dirrectly from poprpriceguide.com, a very reputable pop price site. Third image is taken from another reputable site called "worth point" where they showcase all things pop culture, from original art to collectible toys. And the last picture is the one from antifake-funko.fr showing a similiar funko pop from the same line of Kill Bill, the main point being how to decipher fake from real. The one you posted from buying from us as being "fake" is REAL also. This is pretty hilarious. Please don't try to bash people when you aren't 100% correct about the situation. I have been collecting Funko Pops on and off for over 7 years. Just because the "entertainment earth" sticker could be a reproduction, doesn't mean the pop/box is fake! I bought it like that from another collector and didn't have a problem with it BECAUSE the pop and box was real which is what really matters. If the sticker truly means that much to you, and honestly I don't even know how you assume its fake, I would gladly give you back $10 for the trouble. I am not even admitting fault, its seems like I can't find good evidence for it being real or not. So as a decent moral human being I can admit to not knowing for sure. Little background on my Funko Pop background. I use to wait in line at Hot Topics and Game Stop all over the Bay Area for exclusives back in the days before Covid. It was one of my fun little getaways. For Black Friday I would try to get the mystery pops from Game Stop. Burned through a lot of $ to get 1 of what I want and mostly have doubles/triples to trade. I had over 500 pops at a time, not trying to brag just saying I was pretty into it for awhile. I am not a diehard Funko guy, but I definitely consider myself a collector. Aside from it being REAL, we even gave you back your $ after you came back accusing us of selling "fake pops. We could have said no refunds or even doubted that might have tried to swap it out for a fake one (which it seems you didn't I will admit) but we gave you back the $. You saying I said on the phone "give him the refund" that is not me admitting defeat or knowing ahead of time that I sold you a "fake". On the contrary, I am the type of person to just be a decent human being and say hey, if you really don't like it and it doesn't seem like you did damaged it or swap it (saying it like it is), then we will give you back your money. Everyone knows we don't try to deceive people, my family and I have been here for over 45 years, we live here right in the Manor, we love the entire Bay Area community especially San Leandro. We understand a need to be more compassionate and giving to others especially during these trying times for everyone. Lets not point figures, especially when those figures are pointed for no apparent reasons. Lastly, to close, if we did indeed sell you a fake pop after it was discovered to be, which we DIDN'T, we would have immediately apologize because mistakes do happen, no one is perfect, but in this case, we are not in the wrong. I really, really, really loved this place. Now they are posting extremely polarizing and condemning Old Testament Bible verses on their menu. I was there and couldn't help but feel based on this that they were going to judge me for my sexuality and judge my family as some sort of disappointing sin against God and community. I walked out. The owners are likely to read this and say in their hearts that they are being persecuted for their beliefs. That's how they can come away with their identity intact and not have to deal with the wedge they've driven between themselves and the rest of us. BTW there are tons of verses in every religious text in the world that celebrate otherness, but the chosen text of the day basically said, "God will hurt you if you are "other." Frankly, if you do not overtly represent love for my community, celebrate our contribution out loud and promote diversity, you are not doing enough to make this world a kinder and more loving place. This is how Christians lose the right to witness to gay people. It is also how business owners dog-whistle that they hate me and my community. It is a crying shame. I hope I'm wrong but I won't spend my money gambling that these indivs might not vote to dissolve the legality of my 20+ year marriage or have my kid taken away from me bc I don't fit perfectly within their belief system. Prove me wrong, Clancy's, i beg you. Post a picture of your store front with a sign that says God loves all kinds and fly a trans flag bc you hate the very idea of youth suicide. read more

As an old ice creamery, Clancy's Ice Cream Parlor does a lot right when it comes to the quality, portion size, Costumer service and more. It is hard to forget how good most of their flavors of Ice Cream, especially their mint chocolate chip, which was personally my favorite. They have various other flavors, but when it comes to portion the ice cream just gets better. When it comes to portion of ice cream the guy up front is just so generous, because one scoop is almost three the way he scoops the ice cream. Places like Baskin Robbins and Cold stone give small portions when it comes to the ice cream and prices don't get any better from there at Baskin Robbins and Cold stone. Clancy's on the other hand is $3.95 to $4.95 for the one the waffle cone and one scoop which happens to be more than that. The arrival of the ice cream so quick just as any ice creamery, but the customer service makes it better. The guy up front is not one of those employees who are quiet and barely talk to the customers, he is really generous when serving the ice c ream and he generally talks to the customers, sometimes making jokes. Hands down Clancy's just being your local small ice creamery, really has a lot to give when customers come and get ice cream. Even though Clancy's is more of a come and go ice cream parlor, Clancy's gives good prices, amazing customer service, large portion, a nice small quiet environment and amazing quality to the customer than most other ice cream parlors would give. read more

I recently visited Clancy Ice Cream, and I can confidently say it's a must-visit spot for any ice cream lover! This charming little hole-in-the-wall gem makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. I can't believe I haven't discovered this location sooner! I opted for a scoop of the Salted Caramel and another of the Raspberry Sorbet, and both were absolutely delightful. The Salted Caramel was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of salt to complement the sweet, creamy caramel. The Raspberry Sorbet was refreshingly tart and packed with real fruit flavor. I found this little ice cream parlor, and I'm so happy I did! It's small and quaint, but it's got all the charm you could want--and the ice cream is fantastic! I got one scoop with half Chocolate à la Mode and half Snickerdoodle, and wow, it was delicious! I recently visited Clancy's and had a great experience! Their mango, raspberry, and ube flavors are absolutely my favorite--each one has an authentic taste. It's not over empowering! The line was long, but it was definitely worth the wait. The customer service was excellent, and I loved that they let me taste a few flavors before making my decision. Shout out to Mr. Lin, owner of Clancy's and the most irish chinese guy you well ever meet. Quite the charming character, he has kept his establishment's somewhat kooky decor and prices the same for the last 25 years. Don't go in there with your ATM card, you may get a bit longer transaction than you expected, but then again that's half the charm. Expect generous portions here along with a nice selection of flavors. Worth the trek into "the Manor". read more

Tasty ice-cream over there, you should try if you're a big cream lover like me. The prices are average for that kind of places. Sometimes there are huge lines so I don't know check out busy hours or smth before going there or just test your luck. read more

She told me, "No, there is a machine right there." I replied, "But I want to pay with cash." I then asked another employee, and she helped me right away, even though she was multitasking. I finished placing my order on the tablet, but neither employee helped me complete the checkout process. I waited again, and although they saw my friend and me standing there, no one offered assistance. I asked one of the employees for the name of the older blonde haired employee, and she told me it was Angie. T's, please consider having a dedicated cashier at the front instead of having employees in the back juggle several different jobs. The service used to be so good. There was usually a manager or another employee helping customers at the front. Now, it seems like everyone is stretched too thin. What is going on? T's was never like this.
