I had stopped going to Paris Baguette for the cakes because prices had gotten expensive for me, but I needed a last-minute graduation cake for the next morning and only had about 30 minutes before closing. When I went in, there was a graduation cake I wanted, but I was told they couldn't sell it because they were out of cake boxes. A huge shoutout to Erin, Ankit, and the rest of the team for going above and beyond to make it happen. The cake was still $79.99, but when you have no other options and people genuinely care to help, it is completely worth it. They wrote a graduation congratulatory message on the cake, secured it carefully with tape, found a large box to safely transport it, and even helped carry it out to my car. In short, disorganized, bad parking situation, mediocre service. I am not usually one to get so harsh on a place but my experience today at this Paris Baguette has put me off this location long term. I usually go to the Pleasanton spot but happened to be nearby and wanted to get a cake for Mother's day. I understand that because it is a holiday that they were going to be busy, but it was incredibly disorganized inside with people cutting in and out of line at the counter and the staff were too busy to redirect customers or take orders. Incredibly frustrating as there were several instances of people just cutting their way in line and just placing their orders/getting served ahead of everyone else by just walking straight up to the register. When it came to my turn the staff asked for my order then turned around and instead went and took care of someone who had cut in front straight to the register to buy bread when I had already been waiting in line for awhile. They did not even bother asking if they had been waiting there before or had cut the line, the staff just skipped me just because that person had gone straight up to the register. Incredibly frustrating situation and I just did not want to get into it with the line cutter or the staff. Was still able to pick up the cake but I would skip this place since they can't even set up a system for a line/queue. Go to the Pleasanton spot instead and skip this spot. read more

Hands down one of my favorite bakeries, especially when wanting to impress house guests with a morning treat! I like that it's self serve, and their item options change often enough. I have been to many locations, the Berkeley one when my kids were in college, the Century Mall location when I go San José, the Dublin one..... but this Hayward one tops them all! This Hayward one is fairly recent, 6 months old. There are new buildings and offices around. This store is HUGE compared to all the other ones!! And since they have space, there are more choices of viennoiseries and pastries. I found many items that the other stores did not have. The Halloween spider donuts, the pumpkin collection, the pizza type pastries...the chicken pesto sandwich is my favorite now. You can see the bakers in action in the back too. Staff is very welcoming, attentive and friendly. Lots of tables and chairs if you decide to eat there. Store is extremely clean, I see staff restocking and checking everything. I was so excited to see Paris Baguette open in Hayward! The shop is super clean and much bigger than I expected. It looks like a great place to work/study too. They've got all the delicious classics - hot dog buns, cronuts, fruit pastries, mochi donuts, and regular donuts - plus their signature gorgeous cakes on display. We came to pick up a cake for my mom's birthday and decided on the mango coconut cake. So glad they still had some in stock - it was light, creamy, and really tasty! I've been to several Paris Baguettes in the Bay Area, I wanted to take advantage of the National Cake Day reward that was offered on the app. That's when I realized that there was a store in Hayward, which was closer to me than my usual location in Dublin. The evening before, I placed an order for late morning pickup on Cake Day. The store is located in the first floor of an apartment complex. Stepping in, I was surprised how large this store was and it a large of display cases of their baked goods and other offerings. You can see the bakers working through a glass window. There's a large and spacious seating area with a lot of tables. I walked up to the counter to pick up my order and the clerk went to retrieve my order and I was on my way. My two slices of cake were nicely packed in a handle box. The Blueberry Chiffon cake and Fig Jam & Cream Layer cake were both light and not sweet, which I prefer. Of the two, I enjoyed the Fig Jam cake more as I enjoyed the fig jam filling in the cake. Having come back from Korea, where Paris Baguette originated, I went to several during my trip and none were as large as this one. I will be back to this store soon. read more

Paris Baguette is on the pricier side but I'm willing to pay for higher quality pastries that will never let you down. There's also lots of selection and they restock. The service here is also quite welcoming and you can ask the workers to warm up you're baked good if you wish to eat it now. There's also different size boxes for your pastries if you're taking them to go. The workers usually ask. I love the ambiance and chill vibes here. Finally, Hayward gets something nice out here lol! This is the perfect bakery on Mission to get all your pastry needs. Most of the time I go to our almond croissants some of the fruit tarts, and some of the savory pastries as well. I've been at different times of the day and week and I haven't really seen it too busy however it is a perfect place to get some work done (although I would be cautious), catch up with a friend or even just stop by for a quick bite. So glad a Paris Baguette finally opened up in my neighborhood. I decided to stop by on a Friday afternoon for some pastries. Parking was fairly easy, especially since street parking was the only option. I really liked how spacious and clean it was inside. I also liked that they had so many different pastries available. I picked out a few but my favorite was the fruit pastry because it was not too sweet and loved how crispy the crust was. I also ordered a lavender matcha frappe and it was delicious! There was not much street parking so i had a walk. I noticed a sign that says parking in rear and totally missed it. I walked in and was greeted right away. This location has so many options it was hard to decide. This place was busy but the line would move so fast. Everyone was so friendly and made you feel welcomed. This place is located in the Sohay complex. Today was day 6 of the new location opening and we met the owner, A B, and he was very friendly! The inside is very large compared to the Fremont location with lots of seating , great for hanging out or studying! There were also some baby high chairs which were useful to me , just a nice little thing to have available. I ordered a ice mocha latte, yummy and refreshing. My favorite also is the curry croquette. A nice little thing they do is offering to toast your pastries fresh if your eating in! My friend's husband is also egg allergic , so when we asked the owner if there were vegan options was surprised to learn that there were! 5/5 the workers were very friendly , we were greeted multiple times during our morning breakfast coffee play date . It's pretty new so everything was brand spanking fresh. No parking lot but I was able to do street parking right out front, which made it easy to leave after (it is on a crowded street so be aware of that!). Food-wise, I tried a curry bun and dinner roll (a crowd favorite), both warmed up after purchase. The dinner roll stood out - so simple, yet so satisfying. (It may also be because I prefer savory to sweet.) There were lots of people when I went, but not too noisy and I had plenty of space and room to spread out. They're also open pretty late so if you're craving a snack at night, this might be the place to go in Hayward. I would definitely come back to try more things. read more

Parking here is a hit or a miss, there's parking on the street and if you're lucky, a space in the lot behind. I really like this location though, it has made hayward a very attractive spot filled with new stores that make people want to visit! The interior is huge, offering ample seating for studying, grabbing food and drinks with friends, or families to come for pastries. I love Paris baguettes and often frequent the one closer to me in SF but it's nice to see my hometown opening more spots like this. After a recent visit to France, we were craving some French pastries, and saw a new Paris Baguette opening in our area. We went on Sunday morning and were very impressed with the assortment of sweet and savory offerings. (It will take several visits to try all the things I like) I tried the Broccoli & Cheese Quiche and Cafe Croisnut. Lighter and flaky, buttery and delicious. We also bought Ham & Cheese baguette and a Chicken Pesto Baguette for a later lunch. One new approach is their self-service for pastry items. You get a tray, line it with tissue paper and a set of tongs and select the pastries you would like. Then bring it to the counter to pay. Sandwiches, cakes and coffees are behind the counter to select once there. Service was friendly and helpful, heating our pastries and sandwiches. I came here during the grand opening when there was lots of parking still, so I didn't have a problem. However, I was immediately turned off by seeing a fly in the pastry case. I didn't want to write them off just yet, as they were still getting their bearings and things can happen. I attempted to come here the other day to study. I circled around numerous times to find parking, but unfortunately couldn't, so I ended up going to a different cafe. I decided to try to come here again and was actually able to find a spot after a circling a couple of times. It was not easy though. Trying to parallel park on a busy street where people are speeding like crazy can be scary. I got honked at and given dirty looks like I was in the wrong for trying to reverse parallel into a spot. To top it off, once I got in, ordered a drink, and settled into a table, the wifi wasn't working. I asked for the password but when I tried to use it, it wouldn't connect. Thought maybe I heard wrong, so I asked for it again, confirmed that was what I had input, and was told it "might be because there were too many people on it." The tables weren't even full, so it's hard to fathom that was the issue? Again, I ended up going somewhere else.
