Come for the yogurt, stay for rude behaviour. Visited this location on a calm and chill Saturday night. The whole shopping center is sort of empty, very low key relaxing environment. My friends and I walk in and they request sample cups. Nothing out of the ordinary. The short haired employee (hope I'm not disrespecting how the person identifies) was extremely rude. She said to my friends "are you actually going to buy something or just get free samples?". This is completely absurd behaviour and completely unaccapable. You'd think every little sample cup comes out of her paycheck. We couldn't believe she would ask this. When called out she doubled down and didn't accept that this was uncalled for. After reading reviews on this location, it seems like many have complained and nothing has been done since she still continues to act like this which makes me realize that management is ok with her behavior. I'm sure that the fact that management hasn't corrected her, only emboldens her to continue speaking to people with that same rude and arrogant tone. It's beyond passive aggressive, its downright disrespectful, unprofessional and outrageous. Please spend your money elsewhere. read more

I visit this Yogurtland location often since it's close to home, but my recent experience was disappointing. When I asked for samples, the employee with short hair responded by asking if I was going to buy something, which felt off putting right from the start. While getting toppings, I accidentally dropped a gummy into another bin and pointed it out so it could be thrown away. The employee told me to just put it back, saying they "do it all the time," which was concerning from a hygiene standpoint. She then mentioned that kids sometimes grab toppings, and that's when I pointed out that it made the situation even less sanitary. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the employee became defensive and dismissive. The overall interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. I recently discovered this yogurt place, and I was excited because it's one of the few good options near my house. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by the cashier, a woman with short hair and earrings. who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She talked back to customers, criticized people loudly in front of everyone, and had a very negative and careless attitude overall. I've seen similar complaints in other reviews about poor service here, so this doesn't seem like an isolated issue. The yogurt itself is fine (except the rocket pop sorbet was very soupy), but the bad customer service made me so uncomfortable that I won't be returning. It's a shame, because the location is convenient, but I can't support a place with staff like that!! I hope management takes these recurring comments seriously and trains or replaces the problematic employees. read more

Went in on a Wednesday at noon. Wanted to genuinely sample a new flavor. The store employee gave me one sample cup. I tried the cheesecake flavor and i didn't like that it was softer than usual and the flavor wasn't good. I didn't even finish the sample and throw it away. While walking out the employee asked are you not buying anything, I said no. She responded with next time samples are given to those who purchase. Then why is there a sign that says want to try a new flavor ask for a sample cup?!?! I didn't buy anything because i didn't like the flavor. Funny how "bad service" reported by some most likely means "an employee enforced normal rules and didn't perform emotional support theater for adults." Today we visited the Irvine location of Yogurtland and had a very upsetting experience. The employee, who said their name was Jay, was rude from the beginning, raised their voice in front of other customers, and refused to let us use a chair when we needed one. When we calmly told them there was no need to be rude, the situation escalated and they even threatened to call the police. This was completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and intimidating. Honestly, this place does not even deserve one star for the way we were treated. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses this behavior. read more

Neatly organized indoors and outdoors with tables and chairs, clean topping stations with colorful and flavorful toppings and various flavors of frozen yogurts make me feel like a little child going to a candy shop. It is so hard to make decisions because I get so excited with all the options I have. The staff offered small taste cups to test out the flavors, was very patient waiting for his customers and when they are ready, he assisted them with a big smile and even asked how everybody was doing. He also asked if we are going to togo because he wanted to provide lids, which was nice. Their frozen yogurts are always excellent, the display of the cup sizes are helpful, toppings are fun to experiment, and tasting the new yogurt flavors with the small cups are quite lovely. read more

Went in around 3:30pm--two grown adults. One of us filled our yogurt cup already, and I asked for a sample cup. Person working immediately had attitude, they said that they do not give out sample cups from 2-4pm because kids would come in, take samples, then leave without buying anything. Which is understandable but neither of us were kids and we were very obviously going to buy yogurt. My issue is that the delivery and interaction were very unkind. If we had known that no samples were allowed, we wouldn't have poured any yogurt. But there was no one to be seen when we walked in & no signage saying so. We were never greeted and informed of the rule. Then, there was a customer behind us that bought yogurt. The worker then commented, "thank you for still buying something, even after already using the restroom". Just a really weird bitter vibe in how they were treating customers. If you are going to have rules about sample cups--100% okay-- but PLEASE put it on a sign instead of letting employees treat customers like garbage for asking. Example signage: "No samples 2-4pm" or even "No samples offered at this location". It would save employees a lot of hassle and negative interactions. It's not easy working customer service, but there are things you can do to make it better for everyone. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Yogurtland location. I went in and ordered my usual: plain tart yogurt with almonds. I paid, walked out, and after one spoonful I immediately noticed the almonds tasted terrible and clearly bad. I went back inside to politely let the cashier know that the almonds were spoiled. Instead of handling the issue professionally, the situation got worse. The cashier relayed the issue to another employee, who responded to me in Spanish saying, "If you're going to get it, get another one, but if it tastes bad again I'm not replacing it." Her tone and attitude were extremely rude and dismissive. I felt very uncomfortable by the way I was spoken to, so I chose to leave rather than continue the interaction. As I was walking out, both employees began laughing, which felt incredibly disrespectful. The next day, my daughter called the store on my behalf to ask for the manager's name, as we planned to email customer service. The employee who answered immediately became defensive and demanded to know why. My daughter explained that we simply needed the manager's name for an email. She was told they "can't give out anyone's information," which makes no sense--we were asking for a name, not personal details. The employee continued to push for an explanation of the incident, which was unnecessary since she was neither the manager nor the owner. Eventually, we were told this is a franchise, the shift lead's name is Janet, and the employee on the phone identified herself as Jay. Between serving spoiled toppings and the consistently poor, defensive, and disrespectful customer service, this location seriously needs better training and accountability. Though my yogurt was GREAT, the service was horrible. I got toasted coconut with almonds and brownie, my go to, but the person attending us was VERY RUDE! I have only ever had coconut and this visit I asked for three sample cups to split between my husband and I and the person there short hair and earrings said that they can only give us two. We each only got one. Then, the coworker came in and they were laughing together until it was time for my husband to pay. She said "I noticed people come in asking for more than two sample cups so I think I'm going to take some out." We knew she was talking about us, but we just left and will NOT be returning to this location. We needed two spoons because we got the big cup, but didn't bother asking. First of all, they only have big cups, which I assume weigh and cost more. There were barely any flavor selections and out of the ones I did choose, they were very liquidy. I came here earlier today just right before they closed. The staff was very kind from the minute we walked in. The store looked and smelled clean! The yogurt was a little melted from 3 separate machines I tried but no big deal. The fruit was immaculate (I had strawberries and pineapple). Don't give them your money. Go Somewhere else. What a joke. Got a yogurt and my cup was 1/3 full and was charged almost$7. Guy after me had an overflowing cup and his was a little over $5. The man at the register had no idea what he was doing. I should have questioned the price at payment but was "embarassed" and said wow when did everything get so expensive. Anyone working there should have realized something was off because I definitely did not have 10 ounces of yogurt. When i questioned was told he sells by weight ... well then you either din't subtract the cup or your scale is off. Either way no intent to double check or acknowledge that it was strange that his overflowing cup was cheaper than my tiny serving. Super disappointed. read more

The worker with short hair and glasses was one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. I went in and grabbed a spoon at the front because there was no attendant at the front and then they came to the front about a couple minutes later and in the rudest tone scolded me if I grabbed a spoon and told me I have to throw the spoon away and get a sample cup. I would have been completely okay with grabbing the sample cup instead but the way the employee approached me with attitude and disrespect was unacceptable. It seems like this worker is a constant problem at this location maybe they should find a new path outside of customer service since they are so rude. read more
