The only reason I give 2 stars is because of the flavor of the ice cream. I understand that this ice cream shop has a variety of unique flavors and specially unique ones that come from Michoacán but the prices are RIDICULOUS! $5.50 for an extra small ice cream and almost $8 dollars for a small!!! NO THANK YOU I love this place but it the prices are ridiculous. We asked for the price for fresas con crema and it was $13 dollars!!! That's just sooooo much for a dessert, almost as much as a small cake. If you don't mind spending 30 dollars for 4 extra small ice creams, then come. But if I suggest not coming here anymore specially if they keep raising the prices. Also the employees are not the best at customer service. They all need to be friendlier. read more

This is probably my favorite michoacana in the area. They have a wide array of nieves, paletas, aguas and all the desmadre. The staff is also always in a good mood and are super friendly. I recently tried that paleta de vanilla con fresa and let me tell you, that shits bomb. Good stuff and super close to my new crib. Only gripe is how pricey the paletas are these days. You used to be able to get a lot more with like 20 or 25 bucks but now it's just all so pricey. But I get it, gotta make a profit. It's tough out there. Salud ! read more

We have been here a few times when our place closes early. This is our second spot, but we love it. The parking there's plenty of parking. They are doing construction in the front of the place at the corner of the light but there's parking. Inside is huge they have a whole line of all different treats that you want. Super clean there's also tables outside for you to sit at if you wanna dine after getting your treats. Definitely hit the spot. If you haven't tried, you must try. read more

Uhm, where have I been?? I can't believe I'm trying Mangoneada and Blonico for the very first time! I love fruits, sweet, salty, tangy chamoy, spicy, crunch, and all the freshness of the Mangoneada! My tastebuds where definitely dancing tonight. This party cup of life had mango chamoy sorbet topped extra chamoy sauce, tijan, and fresh mango. The soursop stick was also a nice touch to make sure you got enough sourness, sweetness, and salt! Loved! Blonico is like an extremely healthy yet not really parfait! There's chopped/cubed watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, mango, banana drenched in a thin cream (that's has been soaking green and red apples) and topped with granola and honey. It's sweet yet not overbearing. If I wasn't lactose intolerant I would have endeavored this whole bowl! Service was great! We were helped immediately as we entered. I had no idea what these goodness were called and just pointed at the photos. The gentlemen in front of me ordered Blonico and I was sold. The lady who helped me knew exactly what I wanted seeing me eyeing the Blonico. :) The shop was bright, colorful, and super clean! I came here with my wife and our 5-lb service dog-who was in her carrier. After the employee finished helping the customer ahead of us, she suddenly and angrily shouted, "NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS SHOP!" We immediately turned around and left. I was actually willing to give this place a second chance after a previous mid experience, especially given all the hype--but this interaction sealed it for me. On top of that, the ice cream looked frostbitten, and at that price point, it's not worth it. I'd rather go somewhere else. Treating customers like that is sure fire way to lose business. Ok so the horchata is good, guava ice cream good bust most of all I come here for cueritosss (pickled pigskin) for tostilocos with any of the hot Cheetos they are prepped with hot sauce etc.., but I like to sub my jicama and peanuts for mango and more cueritosss they have the freshest pickled skins I've ever had they store them very good some people don't so I will keep returning when I have the chance, service fast and friendly. Parking is plentiful as they are the first tenants in the shopping center. They specialize in Mexican ice cream and drinks. They have all kinds of ice cream bars, different flavor of ice cream for cups and cones, shakes, mangoneadas, and drinks. I ordered a mangoneada after I saw other customers ordering it. The mangoneada is a mango ice cream with chili. Their ice cream is full of mangos. The chili power was perfect with the mango ice cream. The employees are nice and friendly. They were helpful in explaining their different drinks and ice cream; although ice cream is a universal language and no explanation was necessary. It is a nice place that is very close to the office. I've been trying all these La Michoacana ice cream shops around OC to find one that can live up to the Corona/Riverside one and nothing really compares to that one! Hoping that is a franchise so all the Mangoladas should taste the same but it doesn't. I'm so sad... They charged me extra to put strawberries on top of my strawberry/limealadas I totally made up that word because I don't know what to call it. It's kinda pricey here too.. A small for $4 almost $5 dollars! Also this place doesn't give you the bits of tamarind candies in your mangoladas.. Why???? I guess only the Riverside one has that.. and this was suppose to be the premium site.. smh. Customer service was unorganized but ok. We really didn't know who was next in line n where the line started.. You just kinda stand around until someone helps you.. They also have the fruit drinks here. Some sites don't have that. There are so many ice cream flavors to choose from that I never know where to start! The employees are nice but service is a bit slow. There's no line so you have to make eye contact with strangers and just agree on who's next in line to get their cavity on a stick. None of the ice creams are labeled so you have to ask them what's what. I like how the popsicle sticks are wide so it's more durable, and the ice cream doesn't fall off. I usually go to Paleteria Azteca but yesterday decided to give this place a try. I loved it!!! They have aguas frescas, nieves, paletas, bionicos, malteadas, fruta, tostilocos, and more. I felt that comparing these paletas we had yesterday to the ones from Azteca they have more flavor and seem a bit bigger. And they have tons of choices. Horrible customer service and expensive for what they serve. I used to be manager of few of the michoacanas in different locations and when I said the lady who took my order was rude it because she was freaking rude. My boyfriend and I went last night (we were the only customers in the store ) as soon as we stepped in, this particular lady inside said "are you guys ready!?" In such a tone where I believe she wanted is out of there. We wanted to taste some ice cream and she kept pushing us asking if we were ready to order. I believe they were about to close and just didn't want to deal with us. But if you are charging almost $7 dollars for 1 scoop of ice cream you at least should have better customer service. We ended up buying a tostilocos she didn't put lemon, Tajín or chacha chacha. (they charge extra for that ). Over all very bad experience. It's overpriced and the ice cream may be ok but it's not worth the bad experience and the price. They won't tell you that it doesn't come with it so make sure you ask pretty early on so you can get a bang for your buck. You pretty much have to beg them for a tamarindo straw... never have i had to do that at a michoacana... also their customer service SUCKS! To be honest, I LOVE THIS PLACE but I'd rather drive 9 miles to another location. My main problem with this location is that they always have new people and they do not know how to serve! It seems they get hired and don't get trained before performing. Every single time I come it's a disappointment with ice cream scoop servings, costumer service, chicharrones/chips/nacho preparation, etc. it definitely disappoints me to pay for something I don't ask for! Well today I brought my whole family with me and Anayeli went above and beyond to make sure we well taken care of. Super friendly, happy, and helpful! New ice cream shop that opened across the Jewelry Exchange so that means the area is a bit on the sketchy side. There is plenty of parking around here. My friends and I went on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy. The shop is very disorganized. There's no clear line so it's basically every man for themselves so people just cut in front of you. That really annoys the hell out of me. For the ice cream and the paletas, there were no clear signs or indicators of what flavor is what. How the hell are you suppose to know what is what? The menu and price wasn't even clear either. They also don't ring you up right away, you have to wait for a cashier which nobody was handling. Such a mess. The paletas were great flavor and iced-cold. I find it annoying that they shove the popsicle stick so far. My fingers hurt from holding the popsicle so hard and eating around the stick.
