Finally made it Yokai! After a while of always wanting to go we finally did it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food and atmosphere were amazing! It felt just like being back in Japan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did not have a reservation but were able to sit outside with no wait. The drink selection was amazing. I opted for the sake bomb special it was very good. I wanted to try everything on the menu but I finally chose KFC, bao buns, and ramen. All were amazing and I can't wait to come back and try everything else! You must go to Yokai if you like Japanese food!

Three words. Ramen. Chicken. Rice. Absolutely the best! Of course there's much more to the menu but that Philly chicken fried rice is to die for!! The KFC chicken is double fried..so good. The ramen (especially with the spiced chili oil) is delicious. They feature daily specials so that's always a plus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere gives chill vibes and even sitting outside on the patio is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are friendly and welcoming! This place always tastes good and the food doesn't take too long to come out either! A great place to try in the Greensboro area.

This is my go-to restaurant before shows at Steven Tanger. The Bao is delicious and you can't go wrong with either the chicken or pork. This time I tried the chicken fried rice as well and was not disappointed. The service is always top notch and incredibly friendly with greeting as you come in and a goodbye as you leave. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a quirky little place that has a lot of fun little touches to enjoy (don't forget to learn some Japanese as you read the menu!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I have wanted to visit Yokai for months and am so happy I finally got to eat there. I was really craving ramen and they had a great one on the menu! I got the pork belly with tiger's blood which is a spicy coconut curry broth. I also got the flight of Sakai. My friend got the buns and edamame as well as peach tea. I'm probably spoiled because the Sakai flight was 3 cups brought to the table. Not in any kind of board or display. It was fine just different. I had the server pick the sake and she did a great job. I let her know I wanted them sweet so I had a mango, yuzu, and pear. The mango and pear were my fav's. My ramen was really good and my friend loved her bao buns and edamame. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The reason I'm giving 4 stars is that it was a very hot day and they had it super cold inside. I appreciated this because I ordered ramen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The air conditioner system was clearly working hard because it was sporadically dropping condensation onto our table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were aware of this and saw us covering our food with a napkin. I'm not sure if this was a cost recovery / service recovery issue. But maybe if they move the tables, or addressed this I would have had a more comfortable experience. The food was really good and I hope they are able to get the hvac fixed. Our server was amazing! I didn't get her name but she let me take a pic of her cat shirt. We chatted about airlines and travel.

This was a new experience for me... and it didn't disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The concept is super cute and fun with cartoon artwork and funky decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the open kitchen feel and caught myself watching the window to see all the dishes as they came out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are certainly some fun ones... like an iconic bucket of KFC (Korean fried chicken). For my meal, they had a special on Bao Buns so I tried the pork belly ones with an edamame started and got a peach oolong tea from the case. Without much to compare to... I loved the buns. The pork belly was a good mix of fatty/crunchy richness and the marinated vegetables complimented it nicely. The buns... oh boy they were so soft and slightly sweet - Amazing! I want to eat everything in a Bao bun now. Edamame was also great... steamed with a garlicky salt oil finish. Our waiter was excellent... guiding us through the menu as first-timers and giving background. We didn't save room for dessert but that menu included pandan donuts that sounded delicious.

I went with a few friends and absolutely loved this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It had a relaxed atmosphere, fun cocktail menu and the food was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was really impressed with our server who was friendly and took the time to answer our questions, make recommendations and check back on us. I went home stuffed, we kept ordering food when we probably should have stopped but everything was so good, We started with Crab Rangoon, Black Garlic Brussel Sprouts, Bao and Pork Gyoza. All of it was good but when they delivered the Cheesy Kimchi Tots, I found myself coveting them and thinking that I would come back and have that by myself as a meal. The Bao was also excellent. As if we had not eaten enough, someone ordered two orders of fried chicken. It was excellent but ended up taking most of it to go. I couldn't believe that someone ordered dessert and yet there I was trying the doughnuts and going back for another bite. It wasn't your typical doughnut; it was almost a funnel cake. A great night!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very cool, loved the art around the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very friendly, and always checking on us. The food was so good, we had the kimchi tots, The KFC and their Shoyu Ramen. I really enjoyed everything we ordered. Oh and we had their Vietnamese Espresso Martini

Second time at Yokai and another great experience. Tried the crispy brussel sprouts and more sake this time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just as last time, the restaurant was clean on a Friday night[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], service was fast and friendly. It's unique for Greensboro, definitely check it out!

Welcomed by a few people upon entering. Not your typical Japanese restaurant.... But bartender/waitress did incredible job of suggestions on the menu. We tried a number of things: Shoyu Ranen with katsu chicken ... large bowl, very filling. Didn't care for katsu, was way overcooked... or oil was old. But the noodles, broth were tasty, eting. soy egg surprisingly delicious, a rolled and grilled veg, seemed like radicchio was excellent . i only ate a third snd had enough! Gyoza - also a bit overdone. Cucumber salad - excellent. Tuna taco - good, Sake car bomb - drink special just $5 snd a killer deal. Coconut donuts - divine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good music, cool vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love name snd meaning.... See pictures

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Yokai is such a fun vibe! Gorgeous atmosphere with fun lighting & a large bar and a patio![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fantastic for a casual meet up...or a date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went ahead of a Tanger show this week. Definitely excited to go back! Thursday was discounted Sake & KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and their donuts! I got to try a flight of sake - sampled 3 flavored sakes - for $8!!! We ordered an appetizer & the pork belly bao buns. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was prompt and helpful with making recommendations. Lovely experience overall!

Fun fusion items! Really enjoyed the Philly fried rice and chicken bao buns. Portions were on the small side for the price but [[HIGHLIGHT]]cool atmosphere. Lots of fun colors in the place and fancy toilet in the bathroom![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] lol! Curious to try their donut dessert options next time...

Boyfriend and I attended the 2025 Summer of Seafood and Sake event, it was by reservation only. We arrived on time for our 7:30p reservation, and had to wait about 15min. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After being seated I noticed an ant crawling in my napkin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First course to this $100 ticket was bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The pipe above us began to leak, nearly missing our spread for the bread.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I held my hand up and spoke up to the waiter passing our table, I was obvious, he ignored me and went on. He later came by the table to acknowledge that I had tried to get his attention. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were moved from the booth to a table in the center of the restaurant. When we sat down, the table wobbled so bad it spilt our drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Timing between courses was terrible. Sake wasn't served on time with the paired course and we would be waiting for over 20 minutes between courses. We had been there 2 hours by the time we got dessert. The only good thing about tonight's dinner was the scallop entree and the dessert.

A couple of buddies and I stopped by here last night for a meal and some drinks and had a wonderful time. We made a reservation but it seemed since they had just opened for the evening that it wasn't too busy. Our server Moses was phenomenal, he gave us a full rundown of some of the types of Sake and the menu and checked in on us the perfect amount of time throughout the evening. I opted for the Ube Orange Vodka Highball. Pretty good, very subtle orange flavor. For my meal I went with the Bao (1 pork belly, 1 chicken katsu) and the cheesy kimchi tots. Both were delicious! The Bao came out hot and the flavor was pretty good, I can agree with some of the other reviews in that I wish there was a little more filling. The tots were awesome, the gochujang queso and shredded kimchi were a great combo on top and not overly spicy. I myself like spice, but am not one that likes it to be overpowering to where nothing else can be tasted, so these were perfect. Overall a great evening and will be coming back to try a few other menu items and cocktails!

Our bartender, LT, was so much fun. Every drink was spot on. An espresso martini for my wife and a bold old fashioned for me. On top of that, LT clearly knows his stuff when it comes to both cocktails and bourbon knowledge. I added a 1oz neat pour of 12yr Weller. Let's just say this place is a Weller lover's dream. The owner is a huge Weller fan and keeps the lounge stocked with pretty much every bottle imaginable. Something that's nearly impossible to find in Greensboro. And then there's the showstopper: a Weller Millennium bottle sitting on display. At $600 for a 1oz pour, it's pure eye candy for me. I'll just admire it from one of the comfy couches or large chairs and keep my wallet happy. Whenever we're looking for a classy evening out in downtown Greensboro, Muddle will be our first stop every time.

The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)

Ours were made by Jacob, and you can tell there's real skill and care behind what they're doing. not just pouring drinks, but creating something tailored to you. But honestly, the highlight for me wasn't even the drinks, although I admit, the drinks were absolutely incredible, but it was the people! I will tell you that I've tried old fashioned several times and never ever liked them. This was the first time in my entire life I've ever actually enjoyed an old fashioned, and ordered another one, on purpose! Get the pawpaws Pepsi. 10/10 We got to meet the owner, Jocelyn, and her partner Brian, and that completely changed the experience. Jocelyn is a real survivor. She's been through things that could've & should have, easily shut this place down or broken her, but instead, she built something meaningful out of it. She's a survivor in every sense of the word. You can feel that resilience in the space. it's not just a business, it's personal. Brian has been a strong, steady support system behind the scenes. Learning more about their story made everything feel more intentional and real, not just another trendy concept. Another thing people don't realize, this place is also a retail spot for home bartenders, with locally sourced mixers, syrups, and unique ingredients you won't find everywhere. It's part lounge, part community space, part educational experience. It's also dog-friendly, cozy, and set up in a way that actually makes you want to stay awhile and connect, whether that's with the people you came with or the people you meet there. Bitters isn't for people looking for a loud, quick night out. It's for people who appreciate good conversation, intentional drinks, and a deeper story behind where they're spending their time. And once you understand that... it hits different.

I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

Everything is balanced, creative, and thoughtfully put together. Whether you order something from the menu or ask for a classic, it's always spot on. The prices are great for the quality, usually $15-$20 for a cocktail, which feels completely fair for craft drinks like these. One of my favorite details is the playlist. Cocktails to pair and perfectly crafted. Service is amazing and the overall vibe of the space is warm and comfortable. This is one of my favorite restaurants all time.

Really nice place in the hub of Elm st restaurants and really great decor and ambiance and awesome…read morevibe. Feels like a nice high end place but with a casual feel. The menu reflects this with cocktails, wine and beer and the menu is extensive on the beverages! The food menu is terrific and has so much variety and some really nice plates small and large. It was a theater night when we went and we had a 7.30 show to goto and our server knew that. We got there at 5.30 so figured that gave us the 10 mins to walk to the theater to be on time. We started off with some drinks. My friend loved her cherry ale and I really enjoyed my G&T , the glass it came in was just so unusual. The G&T took awhile to finally make it to me but i loved it. We ordered the tuna tartare and that was delicious and served up with fried green tomatoes which was a different take on it. Nice and fresh and nicely presented. Our entrees were the salmon for my friend and I had the Bahn mi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Usually this sandwich is with pork so I wanted to try this. The service for our dinner took almost 45 mins we had finished the app awhile back and my grind had another drink and still we were waiting. It was closing in on 6.50 Pm and at this point we would be inhaling our food when it came and rushing out the door . It came at 7pm and the sandwich was good but they should mention on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it as I don't like that but there was quite a bit on the bun. Not typically in this type of sandwich so I wasn't expecting it. The chicken was a good and flavorful and lots of other veggie fillings and the fries were great. My friend really enjoyed her salmon and the risotto it came with. Just disappointed we had to eat it all so quickly and leave some so we could pay and leave. We had our eye on the lemon posset tart for dessert but we didn't have time . We just thought since the server knew we had theater tickets she would have been more on top of it. Yes they were busy as it was a show night but the place wasn't totally full. Seemed like no urgency when we asked how long the food would be as we had to leave soon. I'd maybe try this place again on a non show night, as I thought they had a great menu. I enjoyed the place just not the service as we barely made the show before the lights went down.
