Salmon onigiri was really flavorful. I bought 2 and also a tuna mayo. Saved these to enjoy at home with my Tamago kake gohan sauce. It elevated the whole experience. Parking was a pain due to construction, but otherwise no other complaints. Workers were extremely friendly!

Quick, easy, and delicious! If you're looking for something on the go, this is the place. One thing I miss in Hawaii is being able to grab a musubi from any gas station. It's the easiest snack to munch on when you have to be on the go. Now I just make it myself. But there are days where I just want to purchase them. Every place I have been to would sell these little bricks of yumminess for $6 with more rice than spam and the thinnest slice of spam ever No thanks. This place is affordable and the musubi has the perfect rice to spam ratio. It's all about the ratio. The onigiri is also the perfect rice to protein ratio. Chef's kiss They also serve Hawaiian sun, and iced Kona coffee. I have been CRAVING crackseed and they had my all time favorite- guava. Devoured the whole bag. They also sell 808 cheesecakes at this location. I always go for the haole boy. Just call ahead for their flavors if you DoorDash and comment what you want. They also do different flavors of birth mochi.

this quaint shop has so much to offer; musubi, onigiri, baked goods, drinks, and even crack seed (i was so excited to see the li hing powder) ! it reminds me of visiting my family in hawaii and grabbing snacks at 7/11 ! we took a friend here for a little breakfast / snack moment and it was perfect ! we got a miso tofu musubi, a spam egg musubi, and a teri-salmon musubi, all super delicious. the lady who helped us was so kind, warm, and smiley ! i hope to take my family here to try it soon

Aesthetic: Small, take out Musubi shop on West Burnside with a variety of musubi, onigiri, and sweets to enjoy. My Favorites: The Teri salmon was delicious. Experience: I was looking for a place like this when I lived in Portland, and now it exists when I'm living elsewhere. I'm glad I tried this spot on my last visit. I really enjoyed the Teri salmon and Ume onigiri, they were both so yummy. The Tuna Mayo was on the dry side, maybe it was just the day I went. The workers were very kind, I would definitely be a regular if I still lived in Portland.

This is a good place to get a light lunch or snack. I love musubis and they have a ton of options. I got the basic spam musubi with teriyaki sauce and it was good but I have had better at hawaiin restaraunts. The salted salmon onigiri tasted kind of liked smoked salmon. It was a bit rice heavy though and the rice was cold which I didn't like. I would go for the musubis in the hot case if you get something from here opposed to the cold case items. Each musubi is around 4.50$ and I spent about 9$ here. I did like that they had some other treats like banana bread and butter mochi. Another thing to note is that there is no seating here it's more of a takeout spot. Overall this place is good but not amazing and I don't see myself going back unless I am in the area already.

It is a cute small shop and it had a bunch of choices I got the plum and the masubi with egg the plum to rice ratio was not enough to rice lol but the egg mash I was good. They are priced nicely for their size

Wonderfully friendly service from as soon as I walked in the door and thoughtful until the very end. I saw a sign for Musubi as I was driving by and wondered if it would it be that easy to pick up a quick meal before a flight. And yes, yes it was! They had several versions of Musubi to choose from. I went with the teriyaki spam & egg and the miso tofu Musubi. Both delicious, both very filling. Oh, and they had a great selection of drinks! Thanks again!

    Portuguese sausage and egg musubi

My partner and I stopped by on Saturday around 11am. There was no line. Items appeared well-stocked. The store is tiny with a sign on the door limiting to one party at a time which I appreciated for such a small space. The girl working was very friendly and welcoming. There really isn't much parking to speak of, but the small lot next to the space had one "5 minute parking" spot that we were able to snag. The hot case items were nice and warm. My favorite was the teriyaki spam with pickled daikon; a great choice if you like the flavors of kimbap. My partner liked the teriyaki spam. The Portuguese sausage & egg was not my favorite, but is nostalgic/classic for Polynesian foods. The cool/more room temp tuna items were pretty good, but we overall preferred the hot items. They do have select packaged snacks & a fridge full of cool drinks. I'd be happy to stop in again for a quick breakfast/snack on the go.

The service was wonderful--the staff were mostly Japanese and very kind--and the portions for the dinner sets were generous for the price. However, the quality of the sushi felt like a standard neighborhood spot. The fish appeared to be pre-cut and frozen rather than freshly broken down in the kitchen. The biggest disappointment was the Hokkaido Uni. At $40 for two pieces ($20 each), I expected top-notch quality, but it sadly lacked freshness. The tempura was ordinary as well, though the complimentary amuse-bouche (tofu, broccoli, and asparagus) was surprisingly delicious. It's a decent spot if you want a high-value, casual sushi dinner, but since I prioritize the freshness of the fish, I don't think I'll be back.

It's cute. They've got the sushi bar and then the back wall with the fire going for the meats. We came in to try the Portland Dining Month menu. It was good - 3 courses, with simple but varied flavors. My only complaint is that the portion of fish was so small, especially compared to the amount of rice they give. I might be annoyed by the smaller portions if I were ordering a la carte. Service was decent, but not particularly amazing to go along with the higher price point here. Happy hour seems like the way to go, considering that the food was good, but now WOW. My cocktail was also good hit on the sweet side. We had a good time for dining month, but I think we will stick to HH if we come back.

I was looking for food nearby and came across this restaurant. The food was surprisingly delicious! We ordered the chicken katsu curry, kama-age udon (hokkai miso soup), and the kama-meshi seafood. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! The sauce also was the perfect texture and taste. My favorite was the kama-age udon with the hokkai miso soup. I love udon but sometimes don't like how thick it is because it fills you up faster and is harder to digest, the udon here is thinner which I fell in love with! It's soft and chewy and the perfect thickness: you dip it on the soup when you eat it. I also loved the soup, I usually have leftover soup when eat noodles, but I finished every last sip! Definitely recommend this dish if you were to only order one item! We also ordered the kama-meshi seafood. I thought this one tasted okay! The flavors of the seafood come through, but I personally like stronger and heavier flavors. It was worth a try! Parking: This restaurant is in downtown portland so it was difficult to find parking. We ended up parking at a nearby garage and paid for parking. They do have a few street parking spots near the restaurant if you want to test your luck! Seating and service: We were seated really quickly as we went on a weekday! They have several tables and a large table that can be reserved as well as bar spots. The restaurant overall looks really nice and is pretty spacious. The servers were really nice and fast to get you what you need! A side note: they have heated toilet seats in their restroom so that's always a plus!
