Came here for the lunch and enjoyed my meal. They gave a really good lunch combo where you can get two classic rolls, miso soup and cucumber salad for $17. Definitely couldn't beat that! I would definitely recommend for a quick thing of sushi

I ordered so much food on the menu, mussels, octopus, dragon roll, you name it - and each and everything so so friggen delicious with the seasons and flavors OMG. It was even so much food, we had to pack some to go and ate it within the days . The server was amazing in attending to our party of 3 and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

    Salmon Platter, Scallop Hand Roll

Best meal after a long and stressful day. I ordered takeout -- Salmon platter and creamy scallop hand roll. Soup and salad are included with the platter. They complement the platter nicely. Salad was fresh. Soup was not too salty. Everything tasted good and my food was packaged securely. Quick delivery via Uber eats. Yum!

I eat here regularly and the food and service are always stellar. Prices are reasonable and the ambience is quiet and relaxing.

Really good and tasty food here. Had the Miso soup then crunch shrimp roll and tsunami roll. Both were really nice tasting. They had other rolls that looked interesting as well. I would go back for sure.

I ordered from Uber eats. This was the first time ordering from Oshii Mika. When I ordered, they had a 3.7 star rating, which I found confusing as I read some very good reviews that were so descriptive. I only eat nigiri and hand rolls, and everything was exquisite. I love that you can denote how spicy you want the spicy scallops. I got Amaebi, freshsake, Hamachi, Maguro, Unagi, salmon, skin hand roll and a scallop hand roll. Everything was super fresh and delightful. I've been an avid sushi eater since 1982 and this one ranks in the top three places I've eaten from.

Updated Review: I went here for lunch last week with a friend of mine when our original lunch spot was to full. We got a table quickly and right next to the fish tank and were very happy to have found such a neat place. This is one of those places that you can't really see in from the street at all so we were pleasantly surprised at how cute and cozy it is on the inside (and we loved the fish). The service was great and we were able to order and receive our food quickly. The sushi was good here and we were really happy to have found the place. We joked about eating sushi in front of fish but I think they weren't too overly offended. Overall it was a great place to have lunch on a weekday and we will definitely come here again! PS. sorry I went to two sushi places last week and wrote the wrong review here so now I'm updating it.

Post Nutcracker at Keller and hungry!

This joint rocked it tonight! Headed back to the car after the ballet at Keller Auditorium, we walked past Oishii Mika and we decided to grab dinner sight unseen like the old days! We were seated quickly and noticed how GOOD the food smelled! Like so so good! The place was clean, not a ton of tables and sushi bar seating that's not quite at the sushi bar, but we were just happy to get a spot! The service was just right, particularly considering the fact that it was super busy with only two servers. Standouts here are their tempura, their bomb calamari, and delish rolls. Will definitely return!

Fried California Roll and Crunchy Shrimp Roll

Great service and friendly staff! The sushi was fresh and flavorful -- everything came out quickly and looked amazing. The rolls were solid, nicely presented, and the sauces were on point. The place also accepts Apple Pay, which made paying super easy. Definitely worth checking out if you're downtown.

Favorite sushi spot in pdx and it's right next to curio porter Portland hotel where I was staying. Atmosphere is so beautiful, love the fish tank and painting on the walls. Servers are reallllly sweet. Draggin roll is my sis and I'd fave!!! The eel and sauce!! Parking is a bit tricky. Will be stopping by every time I visit.

Came here for a quick business lunch during a conference. Nice decor (fish tank and bamboos!), fast service, nice bento box. Here's a picture of my box. Affordable price, and just perfect when you are in a hurry (I only had an one hour lunch break).

We ordered the Chicken Katsu bento, Sake Bomb roll, and the shrimp tempura for takeout. (Haven't eaten in the restaurant and today was our first time ordering) Here we go: - The chicken katsu bento seemed to be the best value as it comes with salad, gyoza and rice. For the price its a good deal and the gyoza and katsu were pretty good. - The Sake bomb roll was a large 6 roll service and it was good but for the price it wasn't a great value. I enjoyed it and found the portion to be filling, - The tempura portion was good it comes with about 6-7 pieces. Overall good but I think certain items definitely have better portion to cost ratio. I would order takeout from here again.

Pretty good sushi, good service. Went here after a play at the theater. Definitely would visit again. Lots of choices and a large menu.

I really appreciate that you have the opportunity order other things after the Micah is done. It gives you a lot of opportunities to try out other things or double down on things that you really enjoyed. The $20 sake tasting was a big value. I thought they were going to be fillers but they tasted great and actually put new fish I've never had before on the map for me! Some of my favorites were - kanpachi - kome buri - ama ebi - salmon (I liked it more than the king salmon, maybe I have peasant taste) - toro The omakase was well thought out as you can see and we even enjoyed the miso soup. I think the price tag of $100/person can initially be steep but you can easily spend this much on these nicer orders. I was also worried they might drop the quality during the AYCE portion but it continued to be delicious and service was consistent throughout (there was another group of 13 people so service was a bit slow having to divide time between the rest of the restaurant and them). I highly recommend this place and will for sure come back. Some delicious quality fish and my new favorite if I'm coming hungry!

If you're not downtown, they also have a smaller location on the east side! To start I got the takoyaki, or fried octopus balls. It was crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, with a tender and chewy piece of octopus, topped with a sweet sauce and fish flakes. Yum!! For my main, I wanted to try one of their broth-less udons and chose one of the specials, the Mentaiko kama-tama Udon--house-made flat udon noodles tossed in and onion oil, bonito, and soy dashi sauce. The noodles are topped with Men-taiko (spicy Tarako caviar), soft egg, tobiko, tempura puffs, green onions, and nori. I also added ikura (as recommended). I've never had flat udon noodles or broth-less udon but I'm forever changed. The minimal broth allows the toppings to be the stars of the show, and here was no exception. The flavors were complex, but balanced, and the variety of textures kept me coming back for another bite. The soy dashi sauce was full of umami and a subtle spicy kick, the fish eggs added pops of saltiness, and the tempura puffs and green onions added some crunch and offset the richness from the other toppings. The house-made noodles also made a huge difference, they were chewy but tender, and soaked up the soy dashi perfectly. I could not recommend Shigezo Izakaya enough!

Menu is filled with rolls, appetizers, and ramens. We tried two ramens and they're some of the best we've had in town! Noodles were well-cooked, both the thin and thick ones. Generous meat portion and it's cooked well. The broths were piping hot and flavorful too. We also tried the Fried Squid Legs and Tsukune. Again, both were delicious and made fresh. Nothing to complain here, we'll definitely be back.

Momoyama definitely delivers in the flavor department. What I was struck by was not just the freshness of the fish, nor the expert cuts...but the diversity of flavors. Perfect example - the King salmon with truffle knocked my socks off. I am not really a fan of salmon. I find its raw texture to often be a little soft to my taste and the funk of the omega 3s in quality salmon is just... not my bag. The truffle completely transformed the experience for me. I was not prepared for how well the earthy notes of the truffle complimented the King salmon. It made the sushi something to be savored without any of the traditional off-putting (to me) fishy funkiness. Highly recommended. Similarly, the octopus Sunomono was perfectly prepared. Often, octopus can be chewy. Not in this case. Additionally, the sauces and the salad greens complimented the dish and elevated it from traditional "sushi tastes." The bracing acidity made me want to eat more and was a delightful preamble for the rest of the meal. Service was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. We had a large group of eight and they were dutiful in informing us they had included gratuity in the bill so as to avoid double tipping. This small courtesy was not wasted on us. Service was always readily accessible without being intrusive. Orders were executed without defect and questions were answered pleasantly and with expertise. The restaurant has a pleasant and serene serving space. The bracing refrain of the "Irashai!" Greeting was a welcome touch that made me smile. Overall highly recommended. The prices were quite excellent given the quality of food and I would not hesitate a second visit. Sushi well, my friends.

Maybe the idea is to help with any language barrier -- the server spoke fluent English, while often the sushi chefs do not -- but we found him way too attentive. We sat at the bar so we could interact with the sushi chefs. We did talk with a chef, but his advice wasn't very specific. So...despite plenty of suggestions from the server, and some advice from the chef, and a long time perusing and discussing the extensive menu, we still weren't sure what to order. We finally went with a combo and were disappointed to see it served in a boat! That just seemed like a gimmicky, touristy thing, we would have preferred a plate. The fish actually was very good, and so were the salads. A shrimp nigiri was the only misstep, as the shrimp was overcooked. I guess I would return to this place -- hopefully on that server's day off! And make sure my order is not coming on a little boat. And skip the shrimp.
