Two stars for the decent chicken katsu. The breading was not heavy and the chicken was cooked fine. The beef teriyaki is heavy on the sauce the picture will prove that point. Unfortunately it was dripping on the sides and made a mess. The front lady took my order and with my left over change of about .90 something cents I through it in the tip jar. Not a thank you or even an answer to let me know when my order would be ready. The service was appalling. I literally couldn't believe how rude the women taking orders. As I call to put order in she was annoyed with any questions I have and kept interrupting me to ask to put me on hold to take other orders. She say 20 mins. But when I get there I wait another 20. I see many other people getting their orders and I get upset. I asked about my order. She stops very busy business to get in my face while I'm holding my 2 year old to argue with me about how long she say. She even get other customers involved. This place always delivers. The women who work the dining area are always very sweet. I always get the chicken and gyoza and if you ask nicely they will give you some of the salad dressing to put on top of your rice and chicken. This is a little hole in the wall place. You would probably not see it from the street. Drove into the wrong parking lot and saw this and we decided to try to one day. When you walking in it's your typical teriyaki place. Everything on the menu is pretty much the same. We ended up getting the chicken and beef combo and the Mongolian beef. Their portion size is allot! I was able to have dinner, lunch, and dinner again the next day. Their chicken and beef was very flavorful but I didn't care too much for the Mongolian beef. Flavoring seem to be a little too sweet for me (maybe it's a different flavor than what I am use too). Their salad dressing seemed like it was a little watered down. We just moved to the area and I had a very bad craving for teriyaki. I stay loyal to my teriyaki spots, so I will usually go out of my way to drive elsewhere. I was feeling lazy and remembered that my parents liked this place. The plaza that it's located in is a bit depressing, but don't let that deter you from coming here. I always get the chicken breast teriyaki and my boyfriend orders normal or spicy. The owner is so sweet and she even wiped down my credit card with a Clorox wipe before handing it back to me. I find it ok at best_ I paid 13 bucks for a combo dish and got like two very small portions I was feeling taken advantage of. I realized I could of cooked four times that much food for half the price- Food was just a little bit better than a pre packed meal from Costco. What are frozen peas and carrots doing in my generals chicken? Why is there like three oz of meat? I've talked to the takeout people and it seems they get more food than if you eat in. I went to Yoko Teriyaki today for the first time because of the good reviews I read on Yelp. Instead of buying teriyaki I bought Chinese Almond Stir fry Chicken with vegetables, topped with whole almonds. It was a good sized serving with lots of large pieces of different vegetables. The food was hot. This main dish was also served with broth soup, which was so salty I could not eat it, and lightly steamed edamame. I did not care for the sauce in the stir fry; it was a tart lemon tasting sauce. While I ate my lunch many people came in to pick up take-out lunch. The cashier was friendly and efficient. A lot of people like this place and I wanted to but - in all honesty - I found the pork to be too salty. It is a nice place for a small Teriyaki and the people were friendly but I am not sure if I would go back. I can't fault them because I tried the Pork Teriyaki and when the lady realize I wan't eating it - she asked my why. I told her I did not care for the Teriyaki sauce on the pork - it was too strong and salty - and I will give them credit - she made me another order for me to take (since we had to leave and did not have time to eat it there). She had made me another order but with the Teriyaki sauce on the side - however I found the Pork not bad but still too salty for me - and I like salt. Also - we did have egg rolls and my wife asked for Sweet and Sour sauce and it came in the small pkts you have to open - not something I care for - I however like the sauce they provided with the egg rolls. Also in their favor my wife had the Teriyaki chicken and she really liked it (but it is my review :)). I tried it (the chicken) and I much preferred it since the use a different - not so salty and sweeter Teriyaki sauce. They are getting 3 stars since that equates to A-OK and I am not faulting them for my taste buds and crediting them for trying to correct it. read more

When we got there, the lady that was working welcomed us and asked us if our order is to-go or dine in. Dining is much faster than taking it to go but it was okay. Yoko Teriyaki has been a family favorite since I was a kid. Living in Utah, there were pretty much zero teriyaki spots, and finding a good one was like finding a needle in a haystack. The chicken is consistent, whatever dressing they put on the little salad is cravable and the gyoza is top notch.
