It seems to me the quality has improved from how it was a while back, maybe with previous management, and maybe the portions are a bit bigger? The restaurant has pretty decorations inside, and I have enjoyed the instrumental music. The table service is minimal as they just provide drinks, then when you pay, you're prompted to the tipping screen. If you don't ask for water for both of you, you won't get two. Did not provide two dishes for your soy sauce & wasabi. The sushi was good although the variety was a bit shy, since there was a lot of pictures on the plates of what would be there, but those items were not available on the conveyor belt. Decent place for quick food, but be specific when you want water and if you need an extra plate for your soy sauce. Every single roll tasted fresh and delicious! I even tried a small plate of Korean short ribs, loved it all. Very casual dining experience with friendly, polite, helpful staff. We order from Forever Sushi a lot, almost always through DoorDash, and it's been consistently solid for us. This last order was no different. The takoyaki (pictured) were really good -- super tender, not rubbery, and the sauce was great. I've seen them on the menu a bunch of times and finally tried them, and I'd definitely get them again. We also ordered the BTS roll again. This is our second time getting it and it's officially one of our favorites now. Big pieces, lots of flavor, and it holds up well for delivery. Their fried rice portions are generous, which we appreciate, especially when ordering for the whole family. On this last order the tempura veggies that usually come with the fried rice were missing, but DoorDash took care of it quickly, so no real issue there. The sushi probably was made earlier this morning and did not taste as fresh as when it is made to order. The gyoza was cold. There was no Edamame even though it was advertised. I took 3 of my kids for a sushi dinner tonight. We walked in at 8:15pm, asked if you were still open (were told yes), so we sat down and were given menus. We started grabbing plates off the conveyer belt and 7-8 mins later, when the server walked back, I tried to order some additional items off the menu. We were told that we couldn't order off the menu since you were about to close at 9pm. (Mind you - we weren't trying to order anything fancy, we wanted California rolls that weren't on the conveyor belt) I asked if the server could double check, she never came back to confirm if they could be ordered or not, but the sushi roller guys were awesome and came back with a plate of California rolls. I would have ordered 2 orders if the server had bothered to ask how many we wanted - but she didn't, so I asked the sushi guy if we could have one more. He said it wasn't a problem and was great at resolving that "ordering off the menu" issue. In the middle of eating, a different server (head server tonight?) was cleaning up and asked if we could pass over the soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger containers. We get that the restaurant was closing soon-ish, but we still had almost 30 mins left until closing and were getting uncomfortable feeling like we were being rushed out. When it was time to checkout, we asked if they had military discount. The girl said "I don't think so?" so I had to ask if she could verify. (they do offer military discount by the way) In the end, I asked if I could speak with a manager. There was no manager so I asked for the next person in charge which I'm guessing was the head server. She came out and I explained how we were disappointed to be sat down with menus, yet not able to order off of said menu. (What's the point of being given a menu if you can't order off of it??) If we were told the kitchen was closing soon from the get-go we could have ordered asap. It was the server's 3rd day on the job, so for sure want to give some grace, but at the same time, I wanted the place to know that maybe there were some training issue that could be addressed - which is why I wanted to mention it to a manager. After explaining our issues to the next server up, she didn't apologize one bit or seem to care really. So, putting all this on here in hopes for management to see it and: 1) let customers know from the get-go if they can't order their meal off the menu 2) don't ask customers to start passing over condiments in the middle of their meal while you're trying to clean up while the restaurant is still open 3) train staff to know if military discount is offered 4) if issues arise train staff to be problem solvers har a customer service mindset. Food is actually really good! Pretty fresh and very tasteful. The service was great! They were very attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled. I love this place because it's super fast to get food and they refill plates very quick too! It's a pretty small restaurant but spacious. Sushi trains are tough as it is. Sushi trains in upper Puyallup just don't have the customer base to work. Anything that was supposed to be hot (won tons, crab Rangoon etc) was ice cold and soggy. I was disappointed with the quality of food and the prices. For one adult and 2 kids (7 and 15), our meal was $109. When I asked for sweet tofu, they made it but the rice didn't even fill the tofu. It was about a third of the rice and an empty pocket. The chicken teriyaki was ok. The edamame was cold and not seasoned. The galbi was so bad that I asked them to take it off our order. This was a very pleasant experience. My family and I went on a Friday early afternoon and thank goodness it wasn't busy. We were seated right away and a server came over to us quickly. He took our order and we immediately jumped into getting plates of sushi off the revolving belt. I love how they organized the dishes - nigiri was first then the sushi rolls and last the dessert. The boss is absolutely terrible to her employees and doesn't care for the food properly. I know someone that worked there and saw mold in the box of lemons and was forced to serve regular soy sauce and say it was low sodium. They were also told by their boss that they were washing my hands "too much". But in the food industry you're required to wash your hands after cleaning tables, handling raw food, etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! That was all thst I got, no ginger, no wasabi, no utensils, just two boxes with those two items. Ok, whatever. So on the outside of the roll it had some good flavor, but that's where it ended. The inside was mushy and really odd off putting taste. It was just mushy encapsulated in a soft tempura as if it had been sitting for a long time waiting to be ordered instead of made fresh. Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Forever sushi is right since it stays on the belt forever. We didn't eat much since the items on the belt look dry and wilting. The "wasabi" was in a container at the table and slightly turning brown with no spiciness or kick. Started with the Shrimp Tempura and Spicy Krab Rolls which were average. Can't really taste the tempura but the textures were good. Octopus Nigiri was good with nice texture and chew. The rice was a bit drier so not sure if it's been sitting on the belt for a while Squid Salad was good but very inconsistent cuts! With tiny pieces that we could barely pick up to ones about the size of a nigiri. Very well marinated with some ginger to help cut through Ordered Salmon Belly through server. The nigiri was a bit odd since the rice and fish was a bit warm when we ate it. The rice was slightly off since it was a bit mushy. Golden Road ordered through the server was another shrimp tempura with mango sauce and some sort of chili sauce on it. Definitely on the sweeter side. Ambience: 4/5 - it feels like organized clutter with things everywhere and on the walls. The set up of the restaurant was a bit odd since the people making the sushi are in the middle but at such a height and with things around them that we can't see what they're actually making. No or really faint music. We did come at the end of the night so there was some trash on the floor. Service: 4/5 - lad was friendly and tried to help. Definitely can feel it's the end of the night since everyone is just trying to make it to the end of the shift and get out of there. Value for price: 3/5 to 1/5 because I'm upset and the pricing is all over the place! When we sat down, they said to let the server know if there's anything unavailable and he can place the order. The menu in front of us said that the Golden Road roll was part of the red/orange plate at $4.95. But we were charged $7.43 because the price is $14.85 with 50% discount since we got 4 pieces. The server said he doesn't know why, maybe it's 3 vs 4 pieces, but that's just the pricing in the system and he can't change it. Just realized we were charge more for the salmon belly as well! It's somewhere that I would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful experience. The food was amazing. They have options that are for those who don't really like fish which works out since my partner doesn't do fish very much so he gets their orange chicken and their sesame seed chicken. This place is crap! Since Jun and Rich sold the business, the service and quality of food is substandard. We had a few selections from the belt and later the next morning we were not feeling well. They do not manage how long an item stays on the belt, they allow it to go round and round for hours till Simone grabs them. Sadly, the only person there worth anything is Lorenzo. I've never been to a revolving sushi bar so this was a cool experience! The sushi was fresh and pretty solid flavor. We got there as soon as they had unlocked the doors though so they were still working on getting all the plates on the belt still. I recommend getting here about 30 min after they have opened so you have all your choices available to you before you get full on what they had like I did. For the quality of fish, it's almost similar to the AYCE sushi spots; not super fresh, still delicious though. Our favorite roll is the dynamite roll. The portions are pretty small for the price. A plate of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri will run you about $4.45 which is quite expensive. We've stopped coming here as frequently as it's way too expensive for us now. The service is ok, the servers sometimes forget when you ask them something or will be too busy to help you. This place gets super packed on the weekends so be prepared to see barely anything on the conveyor belt. Whenever we go on the weekends, there's barely any plates and we just have to verbally order what we want and wait 30 minutes for it. Forever Sushi is worth a try but it definitely would be a hit or miss for your first time. We just come back for the dynamite roll. read more

Most of the items are fresh because it is a busy location so they have to keep making the rolls. Not to mention that all the items I picked up are tasty. My fav one is the Monday brain.
