They don't know how to talk to people extremely disrespectful not everyone who comes to your restaurant is a homeless person like the people who walk off the street in this area so you should treat people with respect even if they were homeless took 30 minutes to get some food that was cold. Well now I know one of the reasons why they have such poor reviews. Stopped by after work and picked up and paid for 2 beef bowls. When I got home they had given me chicken. I called and they said to come to come back in with the receipt. I explained I lived 20 minutes away and the response was "Well then there is nothing we can do about it." Not only was I having a bad, it got worse when my supervisor brought me to this place. I poured some of this hot sauce on my food which was all mushy. Which I paid $19 dollars and most of it is rice. Fingers crossed I don't get sick from this hot sauce. Please do better. read more

In the past months, food has really gotten horribly expensive for what you get. I ordered a teriyaki bowl small and it was all rice with no teriyaki sauce on it. Very little beef and almost no vegetables. It never used to be like this. It cost me almost $20 to have a large one with Nothing else. No eggrolls no crabcakes. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant fast food food that has gone down so much. I talk to the locals that live around there and they have quit going there too because of the cost of the food and because of what you get for what you pay for. Trying to eat more veggies, so ordered yakisoba noodles and an extra side of veggies. Fresh and hot. The order taker was attending both the drive through by head set and walk in customers. Service was standard fast food: got the order correct and it was served in about five minutes, freshly prepared. I haven't been to a Yokohama Rice Bowl in probably 20 years but it was EXACTLY as good as I remember! I happened to be staying at a hotel near one and, as soon as I saw it, I put it on my food list. I was there on a Monday and their special was BBQ pork with crab puffs and a drink for $6.99 (prices haven't changed either!!). Not the best fast Asian restaurant I've been to, but good value. I went here due to proximity and needing a quick lunch. This place offers a daily lunch special for at least less than $8. The quantity of food is generous and the quality is OK. The restaurant could be cleaner, but I think due to the age and the area of town its in it may be on par. I haven't had Yokohama in years since they shut down the one on the east side of town when I lived over there. For some reason it popped into my head that I really wanted it. I drove 30 minutes just to go through the drive thru and get the beef teriyaki and my husband the chicken and beef teriyaki combo. I have to say that is was all really good. I even go their miso soup which was great. It does have a lot of green onion and no tofu which was a disappointment to my son, but I enjoyed it. I do always ask for spicy chili oil and seasoning which makes the food that much better. I don't know how often I will go out of my way to eat here, but I did really like the food. I do wish that more would open up around town so I wouldn't have to drive so far. read more

We decided to try Yokohama after driving past it several times before. We ordered different types of food including a cucumber salad. I am so in love with cucumber salads because they're generally so nicely done with citrus and such. Unfortunately when our order was given to us they missed the cucumber salad. We did not double check our order and that left us without the remainder of our food. This is partially the reason I dropped by one star, but it's also the noodles. We ordered yakisoba noodles and they didn't fill the container and tasted a little off. I'm just a little disappointed, but I'm not sure I should of expected a fully filled container or if this was standard. The customer service was okay, I had no issues. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, but maybe in a year or couple from now things will change and I'll be open to trying again. read more

But this may be the go to spot for you Interstate 19 travelers who don't have very much time. The service is usually cordial and responsive. The dining hall is spacious. The drive-through was quick. And there usually is a daily special of some kind going. The food is consistent, but the barbecue pork is way to syrupy sweet and salty. The teriyaki chicken is just okay. Glad to have this in the neighborhood. The daily specials are an awesome value. Featured Entree of the day+crab puffs and drink for just 6.99. We usually do take out from drive through. There isn't a shortage of good Mexican food in the area but sometimes we crave something lighter and different. I cant stand Panda Express and this place is so much better and better service too. But its been now 3 times that I order food thru the drive-thru and they take forever and they mess up my order and give me completely different things than what I order. I visited this location 2 times this week and really wanted to like this place. The employees are quite nice. First time I got bbq pork- it was not great. Big chunks of pork with sauce. The second time tried getting it for dinner- bbq chicken and teriyaki beef.....couldn't throw this food in the trash fast enough. The beef was like a steak-um chopped up without sauce, the vegetables were not fresh, can't really screw up rice. The chicken was ok but the terrible vegetables wrecked the whole entree. Sad to waste hard earned money on inferior food. We'll be scraping our tongues for a few days after this. DO NOT GO THERE!!! I bought two $20 Groupon coupons at a really good buy for Yokohama, one of which I just used recently and had the most horrific experience there - and the food was awful. I do not plan on EVER returning to that place. I called ahead of time to order food so I could just go through the drive-up on my way to an appt, where I was providing the food for a meeting. The clerk stated that Yokohama does not take orders over the phone, so I rushed over there to order food for (3). They took the order and then stated the order had come to $8 more than I had calculated in advance from their online menu. They stated they were the "old prices", and would not honor the printed-out menu I provided. Angry, I asked to speak with the manager, since it is actually against the law to falsely advertise the price. The manager was called. I was told she was in a meeting, but was coming shortly. I waited 25 minutes. Was late for my meeting. The manager did not come - they had called another employee instead that also stated they do not honor the website prices. I had waited 25 minutes for another employee not to help me. The manager, in a meeting, did not wish to speak with me. Very angry, I left my business card with them, with a note on the back asking the manager to call me; that I expected a credit for the difference in the amount that was advertised, and the amount that was charged. I am still waiting for their phone call 2 weeks later since 1/29. And to top it all off, the food was horrible. the beef soba noodles were very dry and absent of any beef. The egg rolls were tough and chewy with hardly anything inside - anything discernible, that is. And the teriyaki chicken was too wet and not enjoyed by my guests. The food in general, was terrible. The worst Asian fast food place I have ever been to. I NEVER plan to ever go there again. I received a refund on the certificate that I still held.
