Very nice atmosphere. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very attentive without hovering and being annoying. We were in town for a concert and were strapped for time, but we were able to order an drinks and an appetizer, entrees and a dessert and make it to the concert in plenty of time. I do not mind paying for the food and service when both are good; most places fail at either food or service or both. This place did not disappoint and I would recommend this place highly. read more

I found this place on yelp and it was walking distance from my hotel. Great atmosphere and the sushi was delish. I tried the pub roll and of course the hot mess. I would add that I originate from Chicago and this was better than some places I have at home. Tulsa may be known for BBQ but this was a nice pick to get acquainted with the area and people. I think Yokozuna has the best ramen in tulsa but i never get to enjoy it because they always make it completely wrong. i order to go and pick up my food to eat at home, so i can never get it corrected when it's wrong. i'm sick of paying for an extra egg just for them to completely leave the eggs out altogether. i don't like my ramen without eggs. don't accept my payment for extra if you're not going to give it to me. this has happened multiple times. i'm just sad and want one decent bowl of ramen. read more

Superb. I had the pork belly ramen and it was great. Wife had the sweet and sour chicken and loved it. They are doing take out due to the stay at home order. I've only been here during Happy Hour for the discounted sushi - I don't think I'd pay full price for the rolls. During HH, though, I think it's totally worth it. The Hot Mess = awesome. This is one of the first places I went to for sushi when I moved to Tulsa. They have great food, service, and drinks. The restaurant is always clean and has a great atmosphere for dinner as well as a place to go to after you have had a few drinks and need a little snack. They have great specials after 9pm and there is always seating no matter when I go so I dont have to wait. I recently went here again for my birthday dinner and had about 12 people with me. The seating we had was great and more private so we were able to all talk to one another. They had great desserts for me on my birthday and the sake bombs again were amazing! Not sure if I would go here again for dinner, but for a late night snack and sake bomb this place is great! The price for the food you get here is not worth it and the portions for their entrees is so small that it looks like a half serving. If you are looking to try this place out, going during their happy hour would be the best time so you are not stuck paying the high prices. read more

I ordered a salmon poke bowl for $11 and then added on a bed of sushi rice for $2, like the palm of my hand and in a shallow bowl. It was a super small portion, like snack sized. It wasn't necessarily false advertisement as it was exactly as described, cubed salmon w a bit of tobiko ontop of a cucumber salad. Also it wasnt listed under appetizer, snack etc that would suggest it was such a small dish. It tasted ok but it's hard to mess up raw salmon, cucumber slices in a light ponzu marinade, and sushi rice. Also I wouldnt have minded if the server let me know it was going to be that small and I could've ordered something else or extra. read more

A hard pass- the food is ok, but the uninspired service from the millennial, I don't really care anymore, staff is exhausting. Upon walking in, we literally stood at the front with people looking at us for five minutes at a very non-busy time. After being told to seat ourselves (The sign said please wait to be seated ) it took another five minutes for someone to come around with a menu and water. When the food that we didn't order was dropped off, it was just sort of put on the table unenthusiastically. At these prices, act like you care. Hey hipster, it's really cool that you don't care, because neither do I and I won't be back again. Hopefully someone from management will read this and pay attention to who's running this restaurant. You're not qualified to run the local IHOP, no insult to IHOP intended. read more

This restaurant does not have great food. I came here for dinner, and I ordered the pad thai, and it did not taste that good at all. The dish had a weird lemon taste to it, and other than that, the noodles were bland, meaning the pad thai they advertise is not authentic at all. The edamame and service was good which is why this place gets two stars from me. Overall, with the exception of the good edamame and service, this restaurant was a complete disaster and I will not come back to this restaurant. read more

The smallest poke bowl we've ever had! My husband ordered the Yellowtail Poke bowl plus rice for $16 and it was served in a soup cup... really the whole meal was the size of a fist. Not enough calories for a $16 meal. I got sushi which okay, but please increase the size of your bowls or rename the menu to Poke Cup. read more

Yokozuna is a solid choice for vegan food downtown. Their cauliflower appetizer is so good, they have a standard seaweed salad, and obviously you can get sushi rolls with any veggies you want. There are, of course, many regular sushi, ramen, rice & noodle dishes, etc for meat eaters to choose from. They have a full bar. They aren't crazy busy for week day lunch, which is great if you're going with a group. read more

We dropped in for a late lunch/early dinner Saturday around 4.  We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and the General TSO's Beef, substituting the broccoli with edamame.  The Pad Thai was beautifully garnished with cilantro, peanuts and a lime.  The sauce had a light tang.  Instead of throwing the edamame in the General TSO's they gave us a generous helping in a bowl on the side.  After tasting the General TSO's I understood why.  I love spice and this dish has it!!  We decided to order the cheesecake and the banana split.  Our waitress told us not to be alarmed if we didn't see her but she would disappear for a little to put together the split.  I started to change my order but she said "No girl, I love making dessert."  What a great response!!  When she brought our dessert it was evident she enjoyed putting it together.  My split had peanut brittle, chocolate drizzle, strawberries, blue berries, sliced bananas all on top of ice cream.   The ice cream had coconut flakes mixed in.  What a wonderful unexpected combination! read more

Sushi is what they are known for but the cauliflower appetizer is what you should get. It's amazing. Get it, you won't regret it. The service here is typically slower so expect a 45 minute lunch. But the food is great. I like the driller roll and hot mess are my go to rolls. This place has a happy hour starting at 4, which I have never gotten to take advantage of, but the deals seem great. I would recommend this place for a date night or a great place to grab dinner before a concert at the Brady or Cains! read more

I have visited the downtown location for take out twice during my three week work assignment in Tulsa, OK. I tried two places with this being one of them. This is by far the best of the sushi restaurants in downtown Tulsa! This is what I have had. The pork belly ramen, spicy scallop roll, spider roll, spicy tuna, tuna poki bowl, and California roll. All were great tasting and you could tell the sushi is made of fresh, sushi grade fish. Customer service is great. The staff is friendly and I found prompt in both placing your order as well as receiving your food. I am not sure if it is because of the time of day I visited, though it was not terribly busy during my visits. The environment is pretty lively. Décor is good with plenty of space to accommodate larger groups. You can sit at the sushi bar and watch the sushi chefs prepare the food, the bar, or at a table. Would definitely return during my work visits in Tulsa. read more

We had a dinner meal here about two weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Admittedly, first signs did not point to a good experience. The front of house looked horribly confused. The girl looked stressed as all get out and with a 4-5 groups waiting to be seated and empty tables abounding...I was worried it wouldn't be a pleasant experience. A waitress stepped in and seemed to deftly handle seating groups of people expediently so that helped manage the dilemma. After we were seated, after 30 minutes, we placed drink orders. Their mixed drinks are great and very creative with inventive flair. I had a pineapple drink that was tropical but I can't remember the name. The sushi itself was pretty good. For being a landlocked state, I was very happy with the quality of food we got. Maybe not the most fresh seafood I have ever had on the face of the planet but still pretty delicious and filling. We had this sushi bowl with cucumber, pieces of salmon and yellowtail...whatever it was, I'd recommend it. Super refreshing and delicious. Dessert was a chocolate cake. Sad. Not my first choice but I do have to let my dining partner have a say every so often. The couple we were with had this coconut concoction that looked divine. read more

The tempura cauliflower is to DIE FOR. I haven't stopped thinking about it in the two weeks since I visited last. Poke bowls are pretty good if small. They have great sushi too, but aren't awesome about accommodations for rice sensitivity. The service is hit or miss for me. I've been completely ignored, I've been constantly checked on, I've had some great service too. Doing solo seems to get me the least server love. Great atmosphere, especially on the weekend. Very lively here. Food is good. We started out with the chicken satay. It was delicious with the peanut sauce. The entrees followed shortly after. The ramen can use a bit more flavor, however, it was still good. I would recommend the pork belly ramen if you were to order ramen. The sushi rolls were delicious and fresh. The 40 cents a pack ramen I get at the grocery store tastes better than what I got here. The pork belly ramen sounded really delicious on paper, but it was surprisingly bland considering all the ingredients in there. I am not a salt 'n pepper kind of person, so even if a dish had no salt but all the right flavors I would still enjoy it. This? What a waste of my money. To the guy who told everyone to stop complaining about the ramen and be adventurous--I don't think you've had REAL ramen before, and pad thai (typical Thai dish) and the geisha roll (Americanized sushi) are hardly "adventurous". read more

Rollin a gift! Gotta be the best roll they have over there..... I think one time we ordered 4 of those... I often go to lunch here with customers, and have been a few times with my wife or friends... Great way to start offf with those awesome sweet potato fries.. Those things with that wasabi mayo really get me going... Edemame is hard to beat anywhere, but theirs is not over steamed.. Still somewhat firm beans... If you go, you must try two things: Roll N Gift Yellowtail Carpaccio Those would be my personal 2 favorites... I could probably eat just those and be just fine... But I would need to eat about 6 of the rolls, and 2 of the Carpaccio's as they are just SOOO Delicious! read more

I love this place! Being from Chicago...the food mecca of culinary art and genius, I tend to be picky on where I go for sushi! But when my boyfriend took me here for our anniversary last spring, I was very impressed! It does get crowded during high peek hours and on weekends, but if you go midweek around 7:00/7:30pm, you are good as gold! I love their drink selections, the variety of sushi, and their own take of the class sushi rolls we all know and love. Thanks for bringing great Sushi to Tulsa, OK!!! read more
