The blatant racism, discrimination, and more so the disrespect that was given towards a group called, Soft Life Society | Tulsa , last night at In The Raw: Vu is disappointing, disgusting, and disgraceful. From the corporate operations director to the manager on duty last night, I will NEVER be doing business or dining with them ever again. The manager last night flat out called us out of our names using language I cannot even bring myself to type. In short, all because we asked for our proper change and for our tickets to be reworked. Every restaurant and place of business can do that with ease. That shouldn't call for us to be disrespected. It makes zero sense. Zero. We were respectful, pretty, and paid! We weren't "loud, ghetto, or any (special choice of words)". So with that being said, if you're brown, we're not welcomed there!!! This holds serious weight. This did happen. This will be dealt with in the proper way and through the proper channels. I do not tolerate disrespect of any form. read more

I loved everything! What delicious seafood we ate. I couldn't resist trying the specialty sushi roll--the raspberry salmon roll. I think this was my favorite thing I ate. That salmon was so tasty, so fresh, so tender, and so satisfying, coupled with the cream cheese, raspberry aioli and shrimp--it was amazing. It's a little pricey for once sushi roll, but if you get just one roll, this is a really good one to get. I loved the blackened salmon. It was crunchy on top, juicy in the middle, and perfectly cooked. The fried rice (instead of plain rice) was really tasty too. The veggies were nice. All together I loved this dish. My nephew enjoyed the lomi salad and took half of it home. We split the tempura bananas and enjoyed it. If you like funnel cake, you will like the tempura bananas. I can't wait to go back! Love this location downtown! Pros: the view is amazing , the music is a vibe, and the service is great. I sat at the bar this time around and the bartender was super attentive . It always feels like a diverse crowd . The outdoor patio is amazing and a beautiful view of the city . The food is always great and drinks as well. The Thai chicken salad has been on my mind since I had it! It was so delicious and there were huge portions! We also had the shrimp appetizer (not pictured) and it was so delicious! We normally love ITR and have been to this location before (with a good experience). Our recent experience was less than stellar. We went for our first date night in 3 months and were underwhelmed. The wait staff was very kind, helpful, and understanding that we just wanted to slow roll our night. But the drink service was extra slow, our water glasses were rarely refilled, etc. Food was "meh". The rolls are things we normally order from the other ITR locations, but this night, the overall taste wasn't what we've come to expect from ITR. Also the ambiance was TOO DARK. I understand having a dim lit room to help with ambiance, but when it is too dark to eat, even with table lamps, that's not helpful. The staff members are very nice and very tentative. The atmosphere is very nice especially if you sit outside of the roof top patio. The food is so so. I ordered some rolls and they all lacked flavor. The rice for the rolls was under seasoned and kind of mushy the not a good texture for sushi. The ahi tuna was a very off putting color it should be a vibrant red and it was this dark almost brown color it tasted fresh but was poor quality. I maybe spoiled with the sushi in Los Angeles, but I have had better sushi in Illinois than this place. I don't think I'd come back when I'm in town. read more

This is my favorite "In the Raw" that I have dined at. The view was superb & the booth we were seated in was very comfortable. My daughter ordered their "Hello Kitty Roll" with chicken & a side of fries from their extremely inclusive kids menu (all kids meals come with ice cream too)! She ate every bite of her food & dessert. My friend & I ordered the Candy roll, the New York roll, the Rock n Roll roll, the BOK roll, and the Restless Ribbon roll. They were all so delicious! We had Marcel as our server. We ordered the duck bites, which were perfectly prepared. Hot and the sauce was spicy. My partner order a miso soup which was good and the spicy Tako salad which was fresh and delicious. It was larger than most but had a taste as above average that would rate an 8 out of 10. I requested a substitution in the cody2 roll for tuna as opposed to salmon and they were able to accommodate request without hesitation. When it arrived it looked good but it was not what was expected. It was a roll that you would get at your grocery store sushi's counter. While it may be that I have a high expectation being that I have lived in places near the coast like Florida and California it was dry and lacked seafood/fish. I would rate the roll a 5. We've gone twice now and have always had excellent service and food. Great view of downtown from one side and a great view of the ballpark from the other. Seated promptly both visits. Drinks arrived quickly. The tables have little touch lamps. You can leave it off or choose between three different lighting options. As with any restaurant, the more people dining the louder it gets, but it's not been so loud you can't have a conversation with your dining companion/s. In the Raw at the Vu location has the best view. It is in the 6th floor so you are able to see the Tulsa baseball field and downtown. Free parking on weekends. Price was fair for the food, portion size, and view. Everything in picture with tip was $35. Service was alright. It was fantastic! We arrived on time, our table was perfect with the best view! Sasha, our server, was amazing! It was a Saturday night, the restaurant was definitely very busy, yet she made us feel as if we were her only table. We brought a cake to celebrate as a surprise for my daughter, and the staff graciously kept it in the refrigerator until we were ready for dessert. Sasha also brought my daughter a surprise dessert of her choice and helped us take group pictures so that we could all be in them. The food, of course, was absolutely delicious and we did not have long wait times at all even though it was a busy Saturday night. In the Raw is a sushi staple in Tulsa and has been for years. This spot though, is NEXT LEVEL! Tulsa has been in desperate need for a place like this for years and now we have it! THe view of downtown is incredible from inside. It reminds me of what I've enjoyed in many other cities! You'll find the same amazing sushi and service as you will at their other locations but it comes with a VIEW! It is in the name afterall. I really like how it's laid out and easy to access once you get off the elevator. It makes you special and important just going in. I'm a regular guy, but it's nice to feel special and it so delivers for that here. I met some friends late on a weekend and I only had one sushi roll. I had been out bar hopping in the Blue Dome district and a late night snack attack was filled with the Cody Roll. The experience is cool and the service was great We had reservations and sat on the patio. Once the sun set it got really dark. Couldn't even see our food. We asked our server for a little table lamp that they had put on a few tables and he explained that they were trying to find some more but the manager didn't want to buy some for all the tables so they had trouble finding any. So I ended up taking one off another table myself just so we could see our food. We both got the tuna poke nachos and then both a sushi roll and a drink. That night slept horrible. And the next day we both felt like we had food poisoning. We were both in the bathroom more than normal. We didn't eat anything else so it's hard not to pinpoint it. Unfortunate. In the Raw Vu certainly has a view but does not have the sushi. The sushi is incredibly overpriced and over done. They don't even include traditional sushi on their regular menu (which is comprised of over complicated and over priced rolls that are barely sushi themselves). And when you get their rolls the sushi included in them is very minuscule and comprised mainly of rice. Simply put, this is a nice place for drinks but that's it. For sushi i would take your business elsewhere. read more
